It was just a seemingly normal day in the Tri-State area; the Flynn-Fletcher family had gone their separate ways for the day. Linda shopping at the mall with Candace, Lawrence watching over the antique shop, and the boys hanging out at home with their friends. But what appeared to be a normal day quickly changed at the antique store in downtown Danville.

Lawrence was helping a customer as they browsed the antique shelves when three police officers walked into the store.

"Oh hello officers." Lawrence started. "Is there something I can do for you gentlemen?"

"Good morning, my name is Officer Robinson. There has been an increase in recreational use of illegal substances in the area. Specifically centering around your shop." The officer reached into his pocket and pulled out four printed out photos of people with marijuana. "We have been granted a warrant to search your store"

"Oh, well; if you must." Lawrence said shakily.

"Thank you for your cooperation Mr. Fletcher. I trust we won't be here long." One of the other officers said.

Lawrence walked over and apologized to the customer he was helping as the officers started searching the antique shelves. As the customer left, Lawrence walked over to the counter before shouting, "Please officers, be careful. Many of these are breakable, valuable items."

He didn't get a response from the officers as they continued searching the shelves. Lawrence turned around to see another officer arriving with a dog.

"Um, excuse me officers, but is the dog really necessary? I don't want it to break anything."

"Why of course the dog is necessary. Our canines are trained to sniff out drugs. He won't break any of your antiques, Mr. Fletcher."

"Well, alright then." Lawrence said uneasily.

When the dog entered the shop with the officer who brought it the dog began walking through aisles in search of what drugs the officers suspected were around. The dog wasn't able to find anything until he walked over to the register and started barking.

"He might have found something. Step out of the way Mr. Fletcher."

"But I don't have anything." Lawrence said flustered.

"It is possible to be a false alarm but more often than not our dogs are accurate."

The officers searched through the register and found nothing before inspecting the vases on the counter.

"Robinson, look at what I found." One of the officers chirped before pulling out a bag of what appeared to be crushed up leaves.

Another officer walked behind Lawrence before pulling his hands behind his back and cuffing him. "Lawrence Fletcher, you are under arrest for possession of illegal substances, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law, you have the right to a lawyer with you before and during questioning."

The group of officers walked out to their cars before dispersing, and taking Lawrence back for questioning.

"Ferb, I still don't know what to do today." The boys were off to a slower start than usual to their morning. None of their friends were available as Isabella was off doing Fireside Girl activities, Baljeet was at a science convention, and Buford was at a family gathering.

"Hi boys, still bored?" Linda said as she walked into the living room.

"Yep. We don't know what to do today." Phineas groaned.

"How about you guys go over to the skate park? It's been a while since you've been there, right?" Linda asked.

"Ferb?" Phineas asked before receiving a nod back.

"Do you boys want a ride there?" Linda offered.

"No thanks mom. We can skateboard over."

"Ok boys, be safe and have fun." Linda said.

"We will, thanks mom!" Phineas yelled before closing the garage door.

"Well Perry, looks like it's just you and me today." Candace had already left for the day as she went over to Stacy's house. "Well, I guess I should get to it." Linda said as she headed upstairs to grab some laundry to run.

As Linda made it down the stairs there was a powerful knock coming from the front door.

"Danville Police. Open up!"

Linda hurried to the door to see what the officers could possibly want.

"Hello officers, is there something I can do for you?" Linda asked.

"Are you Linda Flynn?" the officer asked.

"Yes?" Linda answered confused.

"Is this your husband ma'am?" The officer asked as he showed what appeared to be a mugshot of Lawrence to her.

"Yes that is! What happened? Why is he in jail?" Linda panicked.

"He was found to have possession of illegal substances at his store. A store you might spend some time at ma'am?"

"Yeah, I help Lawrence out from time to time at the shop. But I don't understand. There's no way he had illegal drugs! Lawrence doesn't do drugs!" Linda yelled.

"Mrs. Flynn, we need to search the premises."

"Do you have a warrant?"

"With reasonable suspicion of illegal possession here a warrant is not required. Now please step aside ma'am or we'll have to take you away too."

"Fine." Linda said as she turned and led the officers into the house.

"Bring him in!" An officer yelled as another officer came out with a drug dog.

"You can't bring a dog in here! My kids are allergic!" Linda said.

"I'm sorry ma'am, but with reasonable suspicion of drugs we need the dog to sniff them out."

"Ugh!"

The officers followed the dog throughout the house as the canine investigated the scene. Walking through the kitchen, dining room, and living room before heading towards the stairs.

"Should we check the children's rooms?" An officer asked.

"That shouldn't be necessary. Check the master and that should suffice."

The officers guided the dog down the hall and into the Flynn-Fletcher's master bedroom. The dog quickly got to work going after all of the new spots checking the bed, the nightstand and a dresser before the dog began to intensely investigate the dresser opposite of the bed. The officers closed in around the canine as he began to paw at the dresser. The officers took it as a sign and started searching through the drawers.

Tossing clothing items all around the room from socks to jeans to sweatpants until the dog followed a pair of black jeans and started scratching at the pants.

An officer walked over and picked up the jeans, searching the pockets and finding one bag of what appeared to be marijuana in both pockets.

"We've got something gentlemen. Let's take her away."

The officers and the canine walked down the stairs to see Linda sitting nervously on her couch.

"Linda Flynn, you are under arrest for possession of illegal substances." One officer says as he puts Linda in handcuffs. "You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law, you have the right to a lawyer with you before and during questioning."

I know it's a quick read but I'm a busy guy what can I say. I did hardly any writing over the summer when I thought I'd do a ton. Consider it a break; maybe I'll get back on the grind this semester.

Hope you enjoyed. Don't do drugs.
