Some injuries described in this one..

Tuesday 9pm...

After Tim and Daniel were forcefully shoved into a concrete room the door behind them was slammed shut and locked. Looking around they noticed it was solid concrete. There were no windows of any kind and the room was only about eight by eight. The only light was a single bulb hanging from the middle of the ceiling. There were three cots, one along each wall. Two of them were occupied. When the door had shut one of the occupants started to stir. Daniel walked over and knelt down as the man sat up.

"Adam." Daniel breathed out.

"Darn, Daniel. What are you doing here?" Major Adam Marks asked. The man was covered in cuts and bruises, and looked like he hadn't slept in weeks. Looking over to the other cot Daniel noticed Lieutenant Marco Sanchez. If anything, he looked worse than Adam.

"How's Marco?" Daniel asked.

"Not good." Adam replied as Tim went over to Marco's side and looked him over. "Now answer my question. What are you.. and Tim, doing here?"

"Oh, you know. The usual. Trying to rescue you, but well, plan A didn't work. So now we have to come up with a plan B." Daniel replied as he looked around. "Any ideas?"

"Well whatever our plan is, the Lieutenant here isn't going to be able to move very fast." Tim said as he turned and faced Daniel and Adam.

"Ideas? No. The Colonel tried a few different things. None of them worked." Adam explained as Daniel sat down on the cot next to him. "These.. people. They're good. Really good. And now they have exactly what they want."

"What's that?" Tim asked.

Staring at the floor, Adam whispered, "Daniel." Slowly his eyes came up to meet Daniels. "It's all for your sake. They used us, to get to you. Knew you'd drop everything and come find us."

Daniel didn't say anything, just took a deep breath and looked towards the door. "But why?" Tim wanted to know.

"Can't answer that. They never asked any questions. Just told us we were here as.."

"Insurance." All three of them said together. After a moment of silence Daniel slammed his fist down onto the cot before he stood and started to pace, back and forth. Knowing they wouldn't get a response from Daniel, Tim went and sat next to Adam.

"How are you? Honestly?" Tim asked him.

Taking a deep breath Adam answered, "Not too bad. Just sore." Seeing Tim's skeptical look he gave a small smile. "I've had worse. This really isn't bad." He looked over at Marco. "Though I guess it's going to get there eventually."

"No, it wont." Daniel said as he kept pacing.

"Daniel." Tim said with a warning tone.

"I'm not going to let anything else happen to Adam or Marco, and I'm not going to let anything begin to happen to you."

"And we're not going to let you sacrifice yourself." Adam broke in.

"Exactly." Tim added.

Daniel stopped pacing and looked at them. They both had the same looks of determination. Sighing he just shook his head and went back to trying to wear a hole in the floor. "It doesn't matter. By now the rest of the team will have been notified. My guess is they'll get together with your team Tim, and they'll have this all figured out by tomorrow."

"You really think so? Daniel, they have nothing new to go on!" Tim exclaimed.

"I know." Daniel sighed. "Adam, why don't you lay down and get some rest. Tim go ahead and take the other cot."

Tim stood up and helped Adam stretch out. He waited until his breath evened out into sleep before turning to see Daniel still pacing. "Daniel, you haven't really slept since this all started. You lie down for awhile. I'll wake you if I hear anything outside the door."

Stopping for a moment Daniel smiled at Tim. "Thanks Tim, but I don't think I could close my eyes if I tried. Go ahead, you rest."

Knowing from the look on Daniel's face he wasn't going to win he conceded. "Okay, but only if you stop pacing! At least sit down. I don't need the whole cot, so come sit down on the end. Alright?"

"Okay." Daniel gave in and sat at the very end, giving Tim as much room as he could.

"Don't worry BB. We'll get out of this. I have faith in both our teams." Tim smiled as his eye's slowly closed.

"Yeah. They are the best. Get some rest LB." Daniel smiled back until Tim fell asleep. Once Daniel was the only one awake a frown came across his face, and he thought to himself, 'Jack, Gibbs, you two had better figure this thing out quick if any of us are going to get out of this alive.'

Wednesday 6am…

Daniel had got no sleep that night. He had been to worried about Marco. He had developed a fever in the middle of the night. There was nothing in the room to help, but Daniel sat with him, and spoke softly to keep him calm.

The door to their room slammed open without any warning. "You two! Get up. Now!" The man yelled, as he pointed his gun at Daniel and Tim. "Let's go. He want's to see you." He said with a smirk.

Daniel and Tim slowly got up off the cots.

"Turn around, hands behind your backs." The man said as two more came in carrying rope. Doing as instructed, their hands were tied and they were led from the room. They were taken to the same place they had woken up in the night before. Only this time there were a few extra items on the table. There was only one chair, which Tim was led and tied to. In place of the other chair, there was now a long chain hanging from the ceiling.

"Really?" Daniel asked, as his wrists were attached to the end of the chain. "Are you really that cliche?"

"Thought you might enjoy something.. normal." Mic replied. One of his men pulled on the other end of the chain until Daniels arms were all the way up, and he was standing on the tips of his toes. Then he latched the chain so it would stay. "Comfortable?" Mic asked with his creepy grin.

"Peachy." Daniel responded with his own grin.

"Good. Now I thought long and hard last night about what to do with you, and Agent McGee here." He said as he leaned against the table and picked up a knife. "I know that you are not one to talk. At least not without a little motivation."

"You wont get anything out of me. And he doesn't know anything. So there is no point to having him here."

"Oh but there is Daniel. There is." Mic said as he stood up and walked slowly around Daniel, fiddling with the knife. "We have things we need to know. Things you will eventually tell us."

"That's where you're wrong." Daniel stared straight ahead, never making eye contact with Mic as he came to stand in front of him.

"You don't know me very well."

"And you obviously don't know me, if you think you can get me to talk."

"Our associates got you to translate info once before, I'm sure we can do it again." Mic said as he walked behind Daniel. Looking over his shoulder Mic stared right at Tim as he quickly gabbed the knife into Daniels side.

"No!" Tim screamed, watching as Daniel cringed and sucked in a deep breath, but did not yell out.

Mic leaned in close to Daniel and whispered into his ear, "I want to make your little friend watch, and for you to both know what pain will be coming in his future." Daniel squeezed his eyes shut as Mic twisted the knife handle. "You will tell us eventually. You know it, and I know it. All you have to decide is how much pain your friend will have to endure." Mic ripped the knife out of Daniel's side as he stepped in front of both of them. Once again Daniel made no sound except to take a deep breath. "I will ask you no questions yet. I want you both to have a very clear picture of what awaits Agent McGee." Mic dropped the knife on the table, grabbed a towel, and walked out of the room, his men following.

Daniel still had his eyes closed, but opened them as Tim whispered, "BB? How bad?"

"It's alright." Daniel started to say, when Tim interrupted him.

"Don't Daniel. Don't tell me you're fine, when you're clearly not." They stared at each other until Daniel sighed.

"It hurts."

"Alright. Not that I want you to…"

"But it's nothing, I can't handle."

"Daniel!" Tim frustratingly exclaimed.

"What? This is nothing. I will be fine."

"Did you not hear what that psycho lunatic said?! He's going to torture you within an inch of your life! Just so you know what he's going to do to me next!"

"That is not going to happen Tim." Daniel said determinedly.

Tim sat silently for a moment, then looked up, "I may not have as much experience getting, shot, kidnapped, and or tortured, as you do." Daniel cringed as Tim spoke, "But I can handle myself."

"Tim."

"Remind me to tell you… well what I'm allowed to tell you anyway, about our trip to Somalia sometime."

"Sounds fun." Daniel said in voice, that meant he knew exactly what Tim had meant.

"Oh yeah, loads."

They stayed in silence for a few minutes. Tim watching as the stain of red on Daniel's shirt grew bigger and darker. Daniel as he watched Tim, watching him. "We will get out of this Little Brother."

"Yeah?" Tim asked, with just a hint of fear coloring his tone.

"Yeah." Daniel replied. "Don't forget, we have the two best teams on the planet looking for us." Smiling at each other Daniel continued, "By this time tomorrow we'll all be out of here."

"Yeah." Tim still smiling, "And writing up reports, and going through debriefings."

Laughing, Daniel said, "Yeah, now you got it."

"Yeah." Tim sighed. 'If only you can hold out that long. Come on Gibbs, Jack, you two had better figure this thing out quick if any of us are going to get out of this alive', Tim thought to himself, as Mic and his men came back in.
