In the depths of space, Enterprise flew,
Past a nebula, where stars did renew.
But fate had a twist, an unknown surprise,
A planet appeared, Earth-like to their eyes.
Cutler and Novakovich, in the mess hall did sit,
Vulcan food tasted, their conversation lit.
Through the window, a sight caused their awe,
A planet unknown, no flaw they saw.
On the bridge, T'Pol took a deep scan,
Minshara-class, she labeled the land.
No beacons detected, no sign of claim,
Archer's heart stirred, to explore was his aim.
T'Pol spoke of caution, probes to be sent,
But Archer dismissed, on exploration bent.
An away team was chosen, adventure to seek,
To step on the world, mysterious and meek.
In the shuttle they soared, to the planet below,
Porthos in tow, spirits high and aglow.
Archer urged T'Pol, to relax and unwind,
But Vulcan discipline was all she could find.
Hours passed by, with Earth crew so thrilled,
The captain returned, their curiosity stilled.
But others remained, for science and lore,
To camp for the night, with stories of yore.
A storm brewed fierce, their peace now at stake,
The team sought shelter, for safety's sake.
In the cave they hid, from nature's wrath,
But shadows loomed large, unsettling their path.
Novakovich heard whispers, unsettling and dark,
Cutler dismissed them, as mere phantom's spark.
But Tucker soon panicked, a scorpion in sight,
A creature unknown, stirred terror and fright.
Mayweather retrieved what the camp left behind,
But saw shadows of beings, unknown to their kind.
Novakovich fled, madness in his mind,
Tucker saw life, in the rocks intertwined.
T'Pol ventured deeper, with Cutler in tow,
Strange visions appeared, but T'Pol said "No."
Cutler told tales of a meeting unseen,
But suspicion arose, in the team's mind keen.
Archer called down, to return them to ship,
But the storm was too fierce, too strong for a trip.
The team huddled close, in the cave for the night,
But tension and fear turned trust into fright.
Tucker, now crazed, held T'Pol at bay,
With a phase-pistol drawn, in paranoia's sway.
Mayweather thirsty, found water at hand,
But trust was lost, suspicion so grand.
Novakovich trapped, in the storm's cruel hand,
Transporter used, but left him unmanned.
Leaves in his skin, Phlox did examine,
A pollen-born madness, the storm's cruel famine.
Archer called down, to calm the crew's fears,
But Tucker saw phantoms, not his captain's cheers.
Pistol in hand, at T'Pol he did aim,
While Phlox found the cure, to end their cruel game.
In the cave's dark heart, fear reached its peak,
T'Pol spoke Vulcan, in words cold and sleek.
Sato translated, as tension did grow,
But trust from Tucker, was beginning to show.
Archer, in desperation, fed into his mind,
To save T'Pol, and leave fear behind.
With Phlox's cure ready, the tension was tight,
As T'Pol took control, in the cold cave night.
She subdued Tucker, with words calm and strong,
Administered the cure, to right every wrong.
One by one, the madness did fade,
The storm passed by, their fears allayed.
The morning sun rose, on a world so serene,
As if the night's terror had never been seen.
The crew now safe, from the pollen's cruel sting,
Left the strange world, where nightmares did cling.
In the depths of space, they once more did sail,
Past the planet unknown, where shadows did pale.
For on this journey, they learned and they grew,
In strange new worlds, where the old becomes new.
