"Alright so this was already a shitty situation but why do I have to be stuck with you of all people?" Ariadne groaned as she stood under a storefront overhang in the pouring rain.
"Oh come on Air this is fun! Just like old times!" Ace said with a wide smile.
She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Sure, this might have been fun when we were rookies but I am far too dignified now to be stuck babysitting you."
"You're not babysitting me."
"No, I'm just making sure you don't get yourself killed by the literal thousands of Marines on the island you just had to alert to your presence. You know this was supposed to be a nice vacation for me to do some writing, right?"
"You can still write, just pretend I'm not even here."
She rolled her eyes again before turning and stepping out into the rain. She expected Ace to follow but when she didn't she turned to look over her shoulder at him and raised an eyebrow.
"It's raining Air!"
"Yes, you think I failed to notice the absolutely perfect state of weather we are currently being blessed with?"
He glared at her and said, "Water kills fire."
She hummed before turning away and calling over her shoulder, "Well then it must suck being that weak."
Ace shouted back a wordless complaint before sloshing through the rain and grumbling, "You could at least help keep me dry."
"I'm giving you a place to sleep tonight, just be grateful it isn't a jail cell."
Ace rolled his eyes this time and the two walked through the dark streets.
"What the hell is this place?" Ace asked as he stared up at the colorful brightly lit building Ariadne had led him to.
"It's a love hotel." She said as she walked through the door.
Ace stammered but eventually followed and hissed, "Why did you bring us to a love hotel? You do remember we aren't together anymore right? Hell, we're supposed to be enemies!"
"Calm down. Places like this are all about secrecy so they don't keep track of who checks in, meaning they don't care that we have bounties. And trust me if I was trying to have my way with you we wouldn't still be clothed. But if you're too nervous to share a hotel room with me then by all means, try your luck with the Marines."
"Yeah ok fine maybe that was good thinking."
"What? Me thinking something through? That has never happened before."
"Don't be a smart ass."
"You love my ass." She said with a wink.
Ace's cheeks went red and he said, "Find me someone with a pulse who doesn't."
Ariadne burst out laughing and pulled him towards the stairs leading up to their room for the night.
"So… Did you know the room would be this…" Ace asked as he and Ariadne stood just inside the door to what would be their living arrangement for the next few days.
Ariadne blinked at the various chains hanging from the ceiling and said, "Kinky?"
"That's a word." Ace said as he stared at the padding covering the entire floor as well as the wide array of… intimate products on display on the coffee table.
"Not really, no. I just asked for a normal room not the literal sex dungeon."
"Ok…" Ace said. "Well I guess it's a good thing no one will ever know about what goes on in this room."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"What? I just don't want my brothers finding out I stayed in a room like this. They would never let me hear the end of it."
"Oh, that makes a lot more sense. But here I was, thinking you were proposing something that involved significantly less clothing."
"I mean… I wouldn't say no."
"Portgas D. Ace! You horrible excuse of a son, what would your daddy say if he knew you wanted to have intimate relations with a member of a rival crew."
"Pretty sure he'd just say good job." He said before glancing at her out of the corner of his eye. "But that's just a bad idea all around."
Ariadne hummed and moved to sit down on the edge of the overly plush bed. She looked up at Ace and said, "Right, right, a terrible idea. I'm pretty sure my crew would never look at me the same way ever again."
Ace stepped closer and lightly touched the lock of hair hanging in front of her shoulder. "Well we can't let that happen. This really is a horrible idea."
She ran a hand up his chest and lightly grabbed his bead necklace, tugging him slightly closer. "Absolutely atrocious."
He smiled and said, "That's got to be the worst idea I've ever heard." Before closing the small distance and kissing her.
Ariadne let out a small moan and buried her hands in his hair, kissing back with as much passion and tongue as she could.
Ace pushed her back on the bed and climbed on top of her before saying, "God I missed you."
Her only response was another moan and to pull him down for another kiss.
After resting for a few hours Ariadne sat up in bed and watched the gentle rise and fall of Ace's chest as he slept. Even after all those years apart and all the changes that had affected them both, Ace still slept as deeply and soundly as ever, with his breaths heavy honest things. Ariadne smiled at him and pressed a soft kiss to his freckled cheek before slipping out of the bed and walking towards the bathroom.
She turned on the shower to the hottest water temperature possible and laughed quietly when she realised that she didn't have to remove any of her clothing before stepping into the shower. Ace had already helped her with that and she had never bothered to redress, neither of them had. They both knew it would only be a waste of time.
Once the room was filled with steam Ariadne stepped into the shower and sighed when the burning water hit her skin. She tilted her head back and let the water run down over her chest. The water wasn't as hot as Ace's hands but the memory was fresh enough in her mind that the sensation already started to excite her and she moaned at the feeling.
She jumped slightly as she felt an even hotter sensation on her hips. She glanced over her shoulder and smiled when she saw Ace's still sleepy face leaning down to press a kiss to her neck. She tilted her head to the side and placed her hand over his to push it towards a more sensitive area. He resisted and instead wrapped his arms around her in a hug.
She let him hold her for a moment before whispering, "This is far too intimate for what we have going on."
"Does that mean you want me to stop?" Ace asked before leaning down to kiss her neck again.
Ariadne moaned softly and squirmed as his hand finally moved further down her body. "No, don't stop."
Mercifully, he didn't.
"Hey." Ace called as he stepped out of the bathroom.
Ariadne groaned but didn't lift her head off of her pillow.
"Hey."
"Hey. Ari look."
"Hey."
"What?" She said, finally opening her eyes. Then she blinked and said, "What the hell are you wearing?"
Ace laughed and said, "I found it in the closet. Isn't it cute?"
Ariadne couldn't have said anything even if she wanted to as she stared at Ace posing in a far too small maid costume with a far too short skirt.
"Are you even wearing anything under that?"
"What do you take me for, Air?" Ace asked, looking mildly offended. "Of course not."
"A-are those thigh high stockings?"
"Obviously."
"Wait. Are those my thigh high stockings?"
He reached down to run his hand over the lace that was stretched far too tight over his thigh and said, "Yeah, where else would I get socks this sexy?"
Ariadne couldn't think up anything to say to respond to that as she sat there staring at Ace with her mouth open and her entire face blazing crimson.
"See you later sailor. Thanks for the weekend entertainment." Ariadne said as she leaned up against the wall next to the door.
Ace looked up from where he was buckling his boots to see Ariadne leaning with her back against the wall in the sheerest robe imaginable. The way she had her leg propped up against the wall as well only further drew attention to the open front of the robe that was starting to slip off her shoulders.
Ace groaned and pointedly looked back at his shoes as he said, "You are making it really hard for me to leave right now."
"Then don't go."
Ace glanced at her one last time before groaning and standing up to rush back to her. Ariadne laughed and threw her arms around his shoulders as he picked her up and pressed her back even tighter against the wall. She draped her legs over his hips and kissed him before he pulled back.
"You're a cruel siren, you know that?"
"No, I'm a pirate."
Ace laughed before kissing her again as she reached down to undo his belt as quickly as possible. When his shorts finally slipped out of the way she fumbled for him for a second longer. They both groaned as he finally slid into her and then she sighed when he started to move again.
Unlike the many other times they had had each other over the weekend this time was fast and hard as they pushed against each other, chasing their own releases. But it was also due to their previous experience, or perhaps thanks to, they both finished quickly.
They breathed against each other for another minute before Ace slowly set Ariadne down on her shaky legs. She leaned against the wall for support and panted as he said, "Now I really do have to go."
"I know." She said almost sadly as she pushed him towards the door. "Stay safe Ace."
"You too Air." He said before smiling softly to her and walking out the door.
So um... That was a thing. Hopefully it was an amusing thing. I am learning that I can't write smut to save my life and I think this is as close as I am going to get. Help?
