At the Underground factory, the defeated fighters were still working as Cole and Karlof were working on the Cookies, Cole was whistling happily, which made Karlof confused. "Why you whistle? Yesterday Cole was sad. Not today. What change." Karlof asked in confusion.
"Things are looking up, Karlof." Cole said with a smile. "We came here to find a friend, and I found him. All I gotta do now is get Zane and bust him out." He said as he picked up some cookies and put them on the tray Karlof was holding.
"Heh, not so easy." Karlof said as he looked at the number of guards in the factory. "Chen's made it nearly impossible to escape this place."
"I'm still working out the details, but Zane's a nindroid, a walking computer." Cole reminded him with a smile. "If I can get to him, he'll solve anything Chen throws at us in no time."
"Karlof wish he had friend like that," Karlof sighed.
"But first order of business, I gotta let the others know I'm busting him out." Cole said as he put a fortune note into a fortune cookie.
"You put message in cookie?" Karlof asked in surprised as Cole put the cookie in the tray.
"I know, right?" Cole asked with a smile. "That's why it's called a fortune cookie."
"Well, if you get out, don't forget about Karlof," Karlof told the Black Ninja, wanting to be free too.
"Yeah, sure, of course," Cole said absently as he took the tray from Karlof, "Special order for the Banquet's ready," He said to the guard as he took the tray and walked off.
"I hope you have the good fortune for it to end up in the right hands," Karlof said to Cole.
"You and me both, Karof." Cole said in agreement as he watched the guard walk off with the tray. "Now all I have to do is to figure out how to get out of here." He said as the lead guard was about to get the cookie, which made both Karlof and Cole gasp before the guard holding the tray smacked his hand away, making him whimper as the second guard walked off.
Cole then eyed the keys the first guard had on his belt as he smiled, having an idea.
Outside of Chen's palace, the Kabukis are all giggling as they walked up to the front gates, not seeing Dareth, Nya, and Harumi spying in the bushes. "Alright, Dareth, Harumi, let's move in." Nya whispered.
"Wait a second, Nya. We can't just barge in, that's suicide," Dareth stopped her.
"Dareth's right, we need a plan." Harumi said before looking at the Kabukis and smiled, "And I think I got an idea. Dareth keep watch, Nya come with me," She said, leading Nya back into the DBX parked nearby.
"Wait, what are you doing?" Nya asked as Dareth gave a salute.
"You can count on me, your highness." Dareth said as the two girls entered the DBX while Dareth kept watch.
Inside the DBX, Harumi took out some makeup supplies. "My emergency makeup supply kit. Never leave the palace without it." Harumi said with a smile.
"I'm sorry did you say, Makeup?" Nya asked, a bit uneasy.
"Yep, I have to wear Makeup every time me and my parents either have an announcement or when we have to make an appearance," Harumi told her before approaching Nya with the makeup kit, "Now, take off your clothes," She instructed.
"No." Nya pleaded as she shook her head. "No way! Not again!"
"Nya, trust me, I know what I'm doing." Harumi said to her as she still held the kit. "I know you don't like makeup, but this is why it's called stealth."
"But this is really not my thing." Nya begged before Harumi sighed.
"Okay, then we'll do this the hard way." Harumi said with a bored expression.
"Hard way?" Nya asked, a bit confused and nervous at the same time.
Harumi said nothing before she then quickly grabbed hold of Nya and started quickly removing her sash and her clothing as Nya gave a yelp as she tried to stop Harumi, but she was quick with her hands before the last of her clothes were tossed to the side of the mobile base, leaving Nya in only her bra and underwear as she looked at herself.
"Seriously?! Even you, Harumi?!" Nya questioned as she did her best to cover herself.
"Sorry, Nya, but if we're gonna help the Ninja, desperate measures are called for," Harumi said as she began undressing herself, "The Kabuki Servants can roam the palace without raising suspicion, and there are so many they won't notice two more," She explained as she was down to her own bra and underwear as well. "Now hold still, I'll make this quick." She said as she held up her kit.
"Can we just…" Nya was cut off when Harumi took out her brush and quickly apply some white powder on Nya's face, causing the Samurai to cough before Harumi added some red paint before she then quickly went to the cabinets and took out some a blue kimono and black leggings, then put them on Nya as she yelped. "Hey! Easy there!" She said before Harumi finished.
"There. Say hello to Ms. Kabuki." Harumi said with a smile as Nya looked at herself.
"What?" Nya asked in surprise as she looked at her new disguise. "How did you get so good in fashion?" She asked Harumi in wonder as the princess began applying her own makeup.
"Well when you're the Princess of Ninjago, you tend to pick up a thing or two." Harumi answered with a smile and her face was similar to Nya's and her hair dyed black. Harumi then grabbed a jade kabuki dress and put it on. "Okay, now we can infiltrate the palace. But keep a low profile. When we see the Ninja, we'll make a move."
"Well, if you say so." Nya said with a shrug before she crossed her arms. "But you definitely owe me one."
"Fair deal," Harumi said with a shrug and a sly smile.
Inside of Chen's palace in the arena room, the Kabukis are all serving dinner to the remaining competitors, but they were all weirded out by how the food looks and a bit disgusted as Lloyd was looking at a bowl of weird-shaped food. "Try the horned wasp eggs. Delicious!" Chen insisted with a smile.
Lloyd poked the wasp eggs as it laughed uneasily. "Uh, I think I'll pass." He said with a disgusted look.
"Oh, lighting up, Golden Ninja." Chen said while Clouse looked on in amusement. "This isn't a trick. This is a feast to celebrate the eight of you making it to the second round." He assured as the kabukis laughed and started clapping. "And I must congratulate the Master of Shadows defeat over the Master of Invisibility." He added while looking at Shade, who is enjoying his meal with a smile. "That was quite the sight between two who can stay out of sight, am I right?" He joked as the kabuki laughed again and clapped. "Laugh harder!" He ordered as he gave a laugh, which made the kabuki give nervous looks as they did as they were told.
"You can relax, Lloyd." Lydie said to her brother. "Even if it was a fight, now that we told the other Elemental Masters about Chen's dirty plot to steal our powers, we're safe in our secret alliance." She said as she turned to the other competitors.
"I tried to enlist Shade, but that dudes throwing some serious shade." Griffin Turner whispered before chuckling. "Hehe get it? 'Shade' and his name is Shade?" He joked as Shade ate an eyeball from a bowl.
"Yeah, we got it. Not funny." Kai said with a bored expression.
"Well, if you plan to stop Chen, you'll need everyone on board," Misako said to them.
"Each fighters that loses, gives him strength." Garmadon continued. "Soon he'll be too powerful for even all of you combined to overcome." He added as Lydie and Lloyd looked at Shade, who was still eating his weird food, with a suspicious look.
The guard holding the tray of fortune cookies went up to the door of the main room. As a Kabuki opened the door, the guard gave her the tray as she entered the room.
"Oh, fortune cookies!" Chen cheered excitedly when they saw the cookies. "Bring them to me,"
"But they are for your captured-I mean honored guests," Clouse corrected as the Kabuki brought Chen the cookies.
"I'm not gonna eat them, Clousy Clouse, just read the fortunes," Chen said as he held the cookie that Cole put their message in. "They're my favorite part." He added before Clouse took the cookie from him.
"Might we warn you, our guests are fond of whispering, and we don't think it's about your food," Clouse said as they looked at the remaining fighters. "We heard word they have allied themselves. The Ninja have told them about our secret ceremony."
"Do they know about the spell?" Chen asked.
"Not yet, but we must get ahead of this," Clouse said as he gave Chen back the cookie and he put it back in the tray as the Kabuki walked up to the competitors.
Chen then spoke to the competitors, "It has come to my attention that there are rumors floating about that I am stealing everyone's power and magic." He spoke as the kabuki offered the cookies, Lloyd grabbed one, but not the one with Cole's message. "I am." He admitted to them.
All the fighters gasped in shock and whispered frighteningly at Chen's confession as they spoke. "But it's all for this staff!" He continued as he clapped his hooves as the Kabuki all waved their fans as Chen sighed, "No, no. Not you, staff." He said to them as the Kabuki stopped waving their fans, "I mean my real staff." He corrected.
The doors opened to reveal Chen's staff and the competitors all gasped at it as one of the kabuki gave the staff to Chen.
"The Staff of Elements." Chen called as he raised his staff as Kai, Jay, and Lydie got their cookies but none was the one with Cole's message, "It holds the power of your fallen foes, and soon it'll hold all but one. For the last standing in my tournament will win this prize and be the greatest Elemental Master ever in the history of Ninjago!" He declared as the fighters whispered to themselves in interest from that.
"You lie!" Lloyd called out as he looked at Chen. "What about the spell?"
"Spell? What spell?" Clouse asked with a small smirk.
"Don't believe them, it's just another trick," Lydie said to the others. "Neuro read Clouse's mind and saw it." He said as they all turned to Neuro, who felt nervous, "Tell them what you saw, Neuro."
Neuro grew more nervous as Clouse glared at him, "I- I don't remember." He lied as the Ninja looked shocked at him. "Truthfully, I'm a bit more interested in knowing more about that staff." He said with a smile.
Turner and Skylor then grabbed their cookies while Skylor got the one with Cole's message, "And why should we be so quick to believe everything you say?" Turner questioned them while pointing to Lydie. "How do we know you're not lying to get the staff for yourself?"
Soon, the other fighters started whispering to themselves while Skylor opened up her cookie and saw the message as she gasped. "It worked." Clouse said with a smirk. "Their alliance is crumbling."
"So much for the alliance." Garmadon sighed to them.
"They believe him over us." Lloyd whispered as a fan was fanning near him.
"If we're gonna convince anyone, we need proof." Jay said to them as Lloyd tried to bat the fan awat.
"If we could just get that page from Clouse's book we could-" Lloyd tried to say as the fan kept coming back before turning to the Kabuki fanning him, "Would you cut that out?!" He asked irritably.
"Lloyd, it's me," Harumi whispered as she revealed herself to him and the others.
"Harumi?!" They all asked in complete surprise.
"Keep it down!" Harumi whispered while having her fan close to her face. "Nya and I are undercover in the palace."
"And a bit out of my element thanks to the Princess." Nya whispered through Harumi's bracelet while Harumi gave a quiet snicker, "And I heard what happened between you and Cole, Jay. That was big of you both," She said to Jay proudly.
"Love is like war, Nya. Everybody gets hurt." Jay spoke through the bracelet with a smile.
"Is it just you two?" Lydie asked Harumi and Nya.
"Dareth's also on the island," Harumi said while still holding up her bracelet.
"What up, Ninja?" Dareth asked with a smirk.
"And he's in contact with Wu via a mobile base," Nya spoke up again. "Harumi thought I should search around the palace for any clues while she makes contact with you guys."
"If you two are undercover, that means one of you can get close to Clouse's spell book." Kai whispered.
"Spellbook?" Harumi asked in wonder. "What kind of spell?"
"We don't know. All we know is that it's on page 149." Lydie whispered. "We think it might be in Clouse's quarters."
"I'll look into it, but it sounds like you have your work cut out for you too," Nya told them.
"What do you mean?" Lloyd asked.
"On my way here I overheard the guards mention someone they called 'Chen's Little Helper', who apparently told them about your little Alliance," Harumi explained hushly, "So you better look over your shoulders, cause it sounds like there's a traitor among you," she warned.
"A traitor?" The Ninja all asked before Harumi noticed Clouse looking at her before Harumi quickly put the fan over her face and walked backwards as the Ninja quickly acted normal as Skylor went up to Kai.
"Do you know that servant girl?" Skylor asked with a small smile.
"Uh- Know that girl? Of course not. Why, jealous?" Kai asked with a smirk, trying to act it out.
"My fortune tells me Cole and your friend Zane will be breaking out." Skylor said as she gave the fortune to Kai, who read it. "You're lucky this didn't end up in the wrong hands." She said as she walked off as Kai read the fortune as his eyes widened.
"Guys, Cole found Zane!" Kai whispered to the others as they looked surprised by this. "I can't believe it. Thanks, Skylor." He said to her as Skylor sat back down. "It's good to know there are some people here we can trust."
"A Traitor?" Jay whispered. "Who do you think it is?"
"I have my suspicions," Lloyd said glaring at Shade.
"Same here little brother," Lydie said while looking at Skylor, as she noted that Zane's name wasn't on Cole's message, making her wonder how Skylor knew it was Zane Cole was talking about.
Outside the palace, the DBX was parked at a cave in a waterfall close to the palace while Dareth passed the time to do a little air guitar with music playing along. "Yeah! Heh, heh!" He cheered while having some fun.
"Dareth. Dareth, are you there?" Nya spoke up at the communicators as Dareth heard her and quickly turned off the music and rushed to the microphone.
"Loud and proud, Nya. Talk to me." Dareth said to her with a smile.
"I just got word from Harumi. Tell Sensei our objectives are set: I'm gonna find the spell and get proof Chen's up to no good, while the Ninja sniff out the spy in their alliance, Harumi will do her best to spy closely on Chen." Nya instructed while Dareth combed his hair.
"Aye, aye, Samurai X. Brown Ninja out." Dareth said as he ended the communication and started trying to get in contact with Wu back in Ninjago. "Breaker, breaker. Come in, Wu. The falcon has landed." He said.
Back in the underground factory, a guard was enjoying a tray of food while Cole eyed the keys. "It's time," Cole said with a smirk.
"But shift not over for hours." Karlof pointed out in confusion.
"It is for me," Cole smirked, "I've been waiting to do this for a long time."
Cole rushed to the noodle machine and he started eating them as the losers and prisoners all cheered for them.
"Get him!" The guard ordered the others as they all rushed to the two ninjas.
Cole laughed and jumped away from a strike from the guards as Cole pushed a wagon of flour at them, which knocked a guard down before the other kicked it back at them.
"Ooh. Aah! Unh." The Earth Ninja jumped and dodged the throws as he rolled across the floor to the fortune cookies he ate some and tossed the rest at the guards. He jumped on a rolling table and rolled across the room as he flipped over the noodle belt and dodged each strike before two guards grabbed him.
But Cole pushed them off before he were kicked to the ground as they stood up. "Let there be food!" Cole called as he threw a crate at the guards, knocking them down as the prisoners cheered again.
Cole then jumped onto a crake as they dodged the weapons before they flipped to the roll's belt, "Ha! All you can eat. Eat it, guards!" He quipped as he kicked the rolls at the guards before he dodged their weapons again and ran to a table. Cole laughed as he ate some more cookies on a tray and the latter used a broom on the floor to trip the guards down.
Cole quickly threw the empty tray at them before He ran to another conveyor belt with noodles. Cole grabbed the noodles and used them like rope as he threw it towards the scaffolding above and started swinging, "Whoo-hoo!" he cheered.
"Go, Cole, go!" Karlof cheered to them.
But then, the noodle rope snapped, which caused the Master of Earth to fall. "Whoa!" Shouted before he landed in the guard with the keys clutches.
"Got you!" He declared before he started to squeeze Cole tight, only for him to belch out a loud burp in his face.
"Okay, now I feel better." Cole mentioned with a smile before looking at the guard. "You got any cake?" He asked the guard as he snarled at him.
It wasn't long before Cole was thrown back into his cell. "Ha, it was all worth it!" Cole called out before he brought out the keys he snatched. "For these."
Meanwhile, Zane was dreaming of the titanium ice dragon in the ice cavern as he managed to get the chains off him as he stealthy walked past the sleeping dragon and tried to climb out, but the ice dragon woke up and gave a roar, causing Zane to yelp and fell back down as the ice dragon got close to him.
"Zane!" Cole shouted as Zane woke up from his dream as he noticed Cole next to him, removing the chains from him.
"Cole? You've returned." Zane said with a smile as he rubbed his wrist as Cole helped him up.
"Of course I did. I made a promise." Cole reminded him with a smile. "Now come here, you shiny new tin can." He said as he pulled Zane into a hug while Zane was unsure what to make of it, "Ah, there, you feel the love?" He joked.
"No. But the longer we stand here, the shorter time we have to escape." Zane said as he separated from the hug and the two Ninjas walked out the cell while Cole just smiled.
"Ha! You know you were always the smart one." Cole said with a smile before he looked out to see the coast was clear. "Let's go." He said as they rushed out.
Back at the factory, the guard then realizes that his keys were gone, making him realizes where they were as he quickly pressed a button that sounded the alarm.
At Clouse's quarters, Nya managed to find Clouse's room as she entered as she saw many books and scrolls before she saw the spell book at the center of the room as she rushed towards it and opened it. "Page 102, 122… Aha, page 149." She said as she found the right page before she gasped at what she saw. "Oh, this could change everything." She said in dread.
"Nya, did you find the spell?" Harumi asked through Nya's bracelet.
"Yeah, Harumi. I found it. And trust me when I say, it won't be good." Nya said as she then heard someone coming, which made her gasp.
At the door, Clouse was about to enter before the lead guard rushed in. "There's been a breach in the factory. Master Cole has gone missing." He informed, which made Nya worried before she quickly ripped the spell page out and closed the book before hiding behind the shelves.
"Release my pet. She'll make sure he doesn't escape." Clouse ordered as he entered his room and walked up to his spell book, noticing something off as he looked around before looking at his book, which had a white makeup mark from Nya's hand on it. "Hmm." He hummed before he pick up his book and walked off, which made Nya sigh in relief.
Inside the underground tunnels, Cole and Zane were running through them. "Not that way. That will only take us back to where we started." Zane stated.
"Then maybe you should be leading." Cole said before he and Zane stopped in their tracks when they heard a hissing sound.
"I am not familiar with that sound." Zane said nervously.
"I am." Cole said grimly, knowing that sound very well as he turned around. "We need to move!" He said as he rushed off.
"I thought I was leading." Zane said in confusion.
"Trust me, you'll wanna keep up!" Cole called out before Zane turned and saw the Serpent slithering up with a roar as Zane ran off and caught up to Zane as they ran as fast as they could before they saw the way was blocked.
Zane inspected it as he felt the scales. "This isn't a wall, but the body of a large serpent," He said.
"Come on, we have to find another way." Cole said as he and Zane rushed off again as the serpent slithered around their way. "Argh. Another dead end." He said as they ran before they were at some sort of interest as they saw the Serpent circling them at each entrance.
"The Serpent's strategy appears to surround us and coil inward." Zane summarized. "Very clever."
"Yeah, well, my strategy is not to be eaten." Cole said in a panic as the Serpent charged at them as the two Ninjas jumped out to avoid the chomp as they ran down a tunnel, but a wall was in front of them as the Serpent advanced towards them. "It was nice knowing you, Zane. I think this really is our dead end,"
The Serpent then lunged at the two ninjas as they dodged it and it slammed its head against the wall, stunning it, "Uh, I don't suppose you could freeze this?" Cole asked Zane.
"Chen took my powers like everyone else." Zane said to him as he stood up with a determined look. "Pixal, calculate escape scenarios." He instructed as Pixal then started doing that in his head.
"Pixal? You got your girl stuck in your head?" Cole asked in surprise and confusion.
"Calculating escape routes. Activating explosive shurikens." Pixal said as Zane held his hand and shot out some shurikens on the floor around them before they beeped and exploded, creating a hole for the two ninjas to fall in as they yelped before they entered another tunnel below them.
"Heh. I'm gonna like the new you." Cole commented, finding Zane's upgrades impressive.
"We must move quickly." Zane said as the Serpent gave a roar.
"Lead the way." Cole said as the two Ninjas rushed off.
In Kai's Room, the remaining Competitors were gathered, "I told you, I ain't joining your little Alliance, I'm gunning for that staff," Shade told the Ninja.
"This isn't about an Alliance, it's figuring out who among us is spying for Chen," Lloyd told them as his parents stood guard at the door, "No leaves this room until we find out who passing this information to Chen," He said firmly each of the fighters looked amongst each other before Shade noticed Lloyd was glaring at him.
"Why are you looking at me, Goldilocks?" Shade questioned with a look, "I'm not your spy."
"Perhaps I can help." Neuro said as he then used his powers on everyone in the room before he stopped. "I don't know who, but someone here isn't who they say they are."
"What are you saying? Can't you pinpoint who it is?" Jay asked him.
"I'm not sure, there seems to be something blocking my power from delving any deeper into anyone's mind," Neuro explained, looking just as confused.
"Then how do we know we can trust you?" Skylor questioned as she pointed at Neuro. "Maybe I should use your power and see inside your head." She suggested with a grin.
Lydie's eyes widened slightly when Skylor said that, "Wait, a minute," She muttered to herself, having a thought, remembering what Neuro said about something blocking his power.
"I like to see you try, power hoarder." Neuro challenged as he stood up while Skylor growled but before she and Neuro were about to fight before Kai split them up.
"This is what Chen wants, for us to fight." Kai said to them. "But we don't have to. There has to be a more civilized way around this."
"There is." Garmadon spoke up. "Everyone who has ever worked for Chen has the Anacondrai tattoo on their flesh." He said while gesturing to the tattoo on his back.
"So find the tattoo, find the traitor," Misako said to them.
"Anyone object?" Lydie asked with a brow as Neuro stepped forward and lower his robe a big for his back to be shown, showing that he was clear.
"Can I go now?" Neuro questioned.
"Not until we check everyone," Lloyd said to them. "Who's next?"
"Let's get it on!" Turner cheered as everyone lined up as he showed his back.
In the main room, Chen is watching the Kabuki dancing around as Clouse comes to him with the spellbook. "You're harshing my vibe." Chen said to the two in annoyance as Harumi and Nya sneaked through the door as Nya hid the spell page. "You better tell me they've caught the escaped prisoners."
"Sadly Master, not yet." Clouse answered as He gave a bow. "But we have far worse news to report."He continued seriously. "Someone has stolen the page for the spell."
"Do you need the page to do the spell?" Chen questioned Clouse.
"Of course not! We memorized it, the page is useless to us," Clouse answered quickly. "But it gets into the hooves of the Ninja and the council, the fighters will know we've lied to them. Then they'll rise up against us." He informed as Harumi and Nya listened in on every word.
"Then we must find that page!" Chen demanded before he noticed a white stain on his clothes. "Argh! Kabuki powder, uh, it gets everywhere." He complained and gave Clouse an idea on finding the page. Clouse gave one last look at the cover and noticed that the white Kabuki paint was still on it.
A Kabuki walked over to Harumi and Nya, thinking that they were part of the staff, and pulled them over to dance for Chen.
"Master, we have a feeling our spy may well be in our midst." Clouse said, gesturing to the Kabuki.
Chen looked at the kabuki staff, getting what Clouse was saying. "A kabuki servant?" He asked in surprise before he gave a smirk. "Well, well."
"The spy may have the page still on them." Clouse whispered to them as she turned to the guards. "Guards! Search every servant in this room!" She ordered.
The guards then started forcefully searching every Kabuki staff for the spell as Harumi and Nya looked worried as they stood back a bit.
Meanwhile outside, Dareth was still in the D.B. Express as they were listening to classic rock yet again while doing air guitars. "They call me Dareth the Man~ With the big bad guitar sound~" Dareth sang as he followed the music. "Oh, I said spin~ Spin like a record~ Come on~" He continued as he hopped around. "Yeah, spin~ Spine like a recond~ Come on~" As he danced, Dareth accidentally hit a switch that turned the speakers of the outside on, which played very loudly.
"Dareth the Man~ And the big, bad~ Guitar band~" Dareth sang as the music is played really loudly all over the island as he a yell.
At Chen's palace, before the guards were about to search Nya and Harumi, they all heard the music playing as they looked around in confusion. "What is that racket?!" Chen questioned as they looked out the open window.
"It's coming from the island." Clouse said to him.
"It's coming from the spy." Chen concluded with a look. "Find the signal, find the spy."
"You heard him. Search the island." Clouse ordered the guards as they rushed off, Harumi and Nya were about to leave, but Close stopped them. "As for you two, stay put." He said firmly to the two girls as he walked off.
"Dareth, what have you done now?" Nya whispered to her bracelet.
"How are we gonna get out of this one?" Harumi whispered.
Clouse stopped as he turned around, only to see Harumi and Nya dancing with the rest of the Kabukis as he exited the room.
Back in Kai's room, everyone, except for Skylor and Shade, had shown that they were not the spy as Skylor and Shade were the last ones to check. "Well, only two left." Lloyd said.
"So if either of you want to admit it, last chance," Lydie warned but Skylor and Shade said nothing, "Fine, Skylor your first," She said.
"What? How can you not trust me?" Skylor questioned her. "I came to Kai with the fortune cookie?"
"Yeah, you did. And what's weirder, is that you said that Cole found Zane, which is strange, since Cole never put Zane's name on that message." Lydie said with a look, which made Skylor flinch. "So tell me, how did you know it was Zane?"
"Uh, well, Kai told me you came here to find your friend," Skylor said with a shrug. "So I figured it had to be this Zane guy."
"But I never told you his name," Kai told her.
"So, Skylor, we need to know. Show us your back." Lydie said firmly as Skylor shook her head and was about to reveal her back.
"Wait, where's Shade?" Lloyd questioned as everyone noticed that Shade was gone.
"He disappeared through his own shadow!" Jay exclaimed in panic.
"There he is!" Griffin said as he pointed to a shadow area as Shade appeared. "Get him!"
"I ain't your spy, and I ain't your friend either." Shade said with a look. "That staff will be mine." He finished as Lloyd then activated his powers and fired at Shade, who vanished before he was hit as the Kai portrait fell on Jay.
"Ah! My leg! Ugh! Get Kai off of me!" Jay yelled as he hurt his leg as Shade tried to get to the door as Misako and Garmadon tried to hold him back.
"You both cast a long shadow, old ones!" Shade remarked as he vanished and then went through the door and out of the room.
"It was Shade. He must be the Traitor." Neuro said as Lloyd and Lydie got the portrait off Jay and helped him up as he clutched his leg.
"Easy, Jay, I think it's broken," Lloyd told Jay as he whimpered in pain.
Skylor then turned to leave but Kai stopped her. "Hey, sorry about Lydie. She can be a bit protective." He apologized.
"Well, she's the leader. And in case she still thinks I'm the spy, watch me walk out that door." Skylor said as she was at the door before she lowered her suit to show her back as Kai sighed as Skylor walked off.
"What happened to our alliance?" Jay asked in surprise by this outcome.
"What alliance?" Lydie questioned, seeing that their alliance had all but fallen apart.
With Chen, the Kabuki staff were giving him treatment as Nya and Harumi were fanning him with a couple of palm leaves. "Kabuki are always pleased to serve me." Chen bragged. "Isn't that right, Kabuki?" He questioned as the Kabukis giggled while Harumi and Nya gave a scowl before they joined in. "Now harder! Really get into it!" He demanded the two, who gave him a glare as they fanned harder.
Clouse then went up to him. "Our spy tells me the Master of Lightning has a broken leg." He informed, which made Nya gasp in concern before she accidentally hit Chen with her leaf.
"Ow! Too hard!" Chen yelled before he went back to Clouse.
"The Ninja are weakening, Master." Clouse said to him.
"What about their spy? Have you found where the signal's coming from?" Chen whispered to him.
"We haven't found anything on the island yet, but we will," Clouse assured as Harmui and Nya gulped nervously.
Back outside, two guards were banging their heads to the music before their boss walked up to them. "What are you doing?" He asked the two.
"I was, uh… I was headbanging." One of them answered sheepishly.
"Taking a break." The other told him.
"Have you checked out the waterfall?" Their boss asked with a brow.
"Uh, yeah, it's beautiful." The first guard said with a smile as they turned to the waterfall.
"Yeah. So serene." The second guard added.
"I meant for spies, you idiots!" The boss yelled at them, which startled them.
"Yes, sir!/Right away, sir!" The guards cried out in panic as they ran to the waterfall with their boss chasing them.
"Now come on!" The boss ordered.
"Whoo! Yeah! The Brown Ninja!" Dareth called out as he lay on his back and moved on it, not hearing the comms speaking.
"Dareth! Do you read us?" Nyaspoke.
"Hello? They're coming! Do you read us?" Harumi spoke next.
"They're coming for you!" Both girls cried, which got Dareth's attention as he gasped in shock.
"Savage!" Dareth cried out as he looked through the console. "Uh, where is that cloak button?" He asked, forgetting where the cloak button was as Cultists came into the waterfall with two buggies. Dareth then pressed as many buttons as they could, which activated the cloaking tech, but the D.B. Express turned into a noodle truck, a circus wagon, a boulder, and then a bus.
The cultists saw this as they gave amusing looks. "Check it out." The boss said as they all laughed at Dareth as they walked up towards them as the bus turned back into the D.P. Express as the engine turned on.
Dareth smirked at that as he turned to the cultists. "Now let's test what's under the hood!" Dareth called as he revved up the vehicle before he drove off in it. Chen's men quickly jumped out of the way as it started to drive away from them.
Dareth screamed in panic as they drove the vehicle to the side of the mountain and pressed more buttons to try and control it. "Somebody get me out of here!" He cried out as he pressed a red button, which caused the back seats to eject and moved Dareth to the back as a robot appeared at the controls.
"Autopilot initiated." The robot said.
Dareth smiled from this. "Ha! About time you showed up, little dude." He said as he put on his Ninja mask as he saw the jets flying in, as well as a few choppers and bikes chasing him down. A rocket launcher was then set up on top of the D.B. Express as it aimed at the enemy.
"All right, boneheads! I got a bone to pick with-" Dareth was cut off as the vehicle hit a rock, which caused it to get bumped, "Ow! Ooh, aah!" He cried out while accidentally firing lasers at a huge rock on the wall.
The cultists laughed at this, but then the rock fell and caused the buggies on the back to serve and fall over the ledge as the boss growled at this.
"Score one for the Brown Ninja!" Dareth cheered. But that victory was short-lived as he saw they were coming to a dead end of the cliff. This had him scared even the autopilot as it covered its eyes.
"Bad autopilot. Bad autopilot!" Dareth shouted at it as he quickly slammed the brakes and the vehicle tipped over and landed on its side before it could go over the cliff.
Dareth panted as he opened his eyes and saw that the D.B. Express was tilting over the edge and screamed as he was surrounded by the Cultists. "I've been taken hostage by the savages!" He yelled out through the comms.
"You're on your own! Go on without me!" Dareth yelled out through both Nya and Harumi's bracelets, which made them look in horror and got Chen's attention as he grabbed them.
"So you two are the spies." Chen said with a glare before he saw the spell on Nya's back pocket. "The spell!" He shouted before Nya managed to kick him away from them.
"Oh, and by the way, your feet stink!" Nya shouted with a glare.
"Now if you'll excuse us, we have friends waiting for us!" Harumi said as they turned to run, jumping and ducking under Clouse and another guard while dodging an ice blast from Chen.
"Get them! And get that spell!" Chen ordered as Clouse and the guard rushed off after them.
Back in the underground tunnels, a couple of guards were walking by. "They've ordered everyone after a couple of Kabuki girls." One of them said to his partner.
"What about the escaped factory worker?" The second one asked.
"Forget him." The first one said. "Chen will make sure the other workers pay for his actions. Argh. Poor saps." He said as he didn't see Zane and Cole watching from behind.
"Poor saps?" Cole asked in concern.
"Hurry, the exit is just around the bend." Zane said as he pointed to one of the tunnels.
"You go, I can't." Cole said to him, which made Zane turned to him in surprise. "A ninja doesn't save himself. He protects those who can't protect themselves." He said as he turned back to the way they came in. "I have to go back. I have to go back and save them all." He declared as he walked ahead, and then Zane came up to him.
"And a ninja never leaves another ninja's side." Zane said with a smile.
Cole smiled from his friend's support. "We'll get off this island one day, Zane. But it's either all of us or none of us." He said as he and Zane walked back down the tunnel back to the factory.
Outside of the palace at night, Clouse are searching around for Nya and Harumi as they hide behind the door, but as the twins are about to check beside the doors, they are kicked back by the mares as they try to attack. But Nya swung over a lamp and knocked Clouse down as Harumi blasted Clouse down the stairs with the other guards.
Harumi and Nya then jumped on the twins as they jumped up into the roof as they started throwing roof tiles on them, which hit Clouse in the heads as Harumi and Nya ran out of sight.
"Don't just stand there! Find them!" Clouse ordered the guards as the cultists then started searching the palace for any signs of Nya and Harumi.
Clouse then started climbing onto the roof as he followed after the two girl as they ran across the roof and jumped to the next one with the dark sorcerer still chasing them. Clouse soon followed the two to the top of the Temple and chased them down as they jumped across a large gap over the next Temple. Clouse soon grabbed hold of Nya before the two got into a fight while Harumi tried to help.
Harumi managed to break Nya free and started fighting Clouse briefly before they rolled down the roof and made it to the wall of the palace as Clouse tried to throw punches at the girls, before Harumi jumped over the edge but before Nya could follow, Clouse caught her by the collar.
Nya struggled to break free before getting an idea, 'Sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do,' She thought as she reached for her dress clip, unclipped and slipped out of the dress and Clouse's grip, falling over the way.
Clouse looked in shock as he looked over the edge and saw Nya and Harumi rushing into the forest. "Get them! And get that spell!" He ordered the cultists.
Once the two girls made it some distance away from the palace, the two girls stopped as they took a breather once they were out of sight. "That was a close one. And wow, that Clouse is tough." Harumi commented while taking a breather.
"No kidding." Nya agreed before she looked at herself only in her bra and underwear. "At least I'm out of that disguise."
"You really don't like being a Kabuki to the point you do anything to get out of that dress, huh, Nya?" Harumi asked in amusement.
"Hey, I just hate dresses and makeup." Nya said with a look as she sighed. "Though, now I need some new clothes which unfortunately are in the D.B Express that Chen's goons just took along with Dareth."
"Well, we know we can't ask Chen for spare clothes without being caught. But we can make something out in this jungle." Harmui said as she looked around at the jungle they were in. "Maybe there's materials around to make you new clothing or armor."
"I hope so." Nya said as she looked down at her undressed form. "Ugh, why do these things keep happening to me?" She questioned tiredly as Harumi giggled at her karma.
At Chen's palace, he was sitting alone on his throne as one of his cultists walked up to him. "My spy, have they found the girls?" He questioned.
"No but you may have bigger problems to deal with." The cultist said before morphing into Skylor. "Cole's got the metal man father and what's worse, I think the Purple Ninja is onto me."
"It's okay, my child." Chen said with a smirk as Skylor with a smile. "The Master of Form's power has proved to be useful to you at this point." He said as he hugged Skylor, who gave a chuckle. "But the Ninja's time here is done. Tomorrow, we will end this charade. Tomorrow, we will break up the ninja forever!" He declared as he and Skylor all gave sinister laughter.
The Ninja and the remaining competitors are about to be in for the most trick Chen pulls at them yet.
