Guest: Thank you for the review. Yes he is! Actually, Mimir didn't, sorry about that. I like to imagine Mimir has some sort of happy ending in Valhalla. And I really love the guy, but I really couldn't think of any use for him here, same as Naminé and Botan. Regarding May, her body is not here, and Castiel didn't exactly talk a lot about his abilities. Plus I do believe May's death is basically Spider-Man's true origin story in the MCU. Yeah she does. Glad you understand that, thanks. And yep, won't make sense. For the DMC timeline, this is right after the first game, and even before the anime. Vergil is back to his normal form only because Sephiroth restored him and increased his power. Right now, Dante does not know about Nero, and even if a future Nero comes, the exposition would be a bit too much. Yes, this is a catch-up, and then the final fight.
Chapter 9- Preparations
Sephiroth now stood in front of all the people he'd gathered, the group now including a tall man in a suit.
"What the fuck is going on here?" Max asked, looking between everyone here and there, confused completely.
"I was wondering the same thing", Flint muttered to himself.
"This is….so crazy…." Kate trailed off.
"I believe our host will make it all clear", the suited man said to them, making them jump. "I am Marcus Hamilton, liaison of the Senior Partners. Nice to meet you all."
"All of us have been brought here from different times and places, and in other circumstances, I'd kill you all in a heartbeat", Sephiroth said, making Vergil nearly take a fighting stance as Zeus and Thor growled, lightning coming off of them, while Master Xehanort and the members of his Real Organization XIII summoned their Keyblades, Lucifer clutching his fist as well, Zod prepared to fly at Sephiroth, and Sensui looked ready to fight too. "But these circumstances are unique. As long as you help me in getting what I want, I will help you too, and we never need to see each other again."
The ones who were ready to fight quickly lowered their weapons or relaxed their stances while Sephiroth continued. "All of you want different things." He looked between Vergil, Zeus, Thor, Master Xehanort, Lucifer and Sensui. "I have already discussed it with you all, as well as", he looked at The Rani, "you, and the rest", he looked at Glory, "you want your Key", he turned to Lindsey, "you want that Vampire beaten", he turned to Marcus Hamilton, "you too want your boss' plans fulfilled", he then looked at Sabretooth, "you want to kill Wolverine", he turned to Zod, "you want to take over your world", he turned to Max, "you want to stay in this world due to the power it has."
He looked at everyone again. "And so forth. Well, I can offer you all that, by rewriting the Multiverse with the corrupted Lifestream that I now wield."
"Why has it not already been done?" Barbas inquired, only to shut up when Sephiroth gave him a look that had the Demon of Fear feeling fear.
"This can only be done when the Multiverse begins to collapse", Sephiroth revealed at that point. "But our new friends will try to fight us. While I can defeat them, it will take away the time I can use to create this new Multiverse."
"What do you say, guys, feel like making a new world?" Void Stiles asked the rest with a smirk.
"We got a deal, my powers are so great here", Electro said, spouting electricity from within him.
"They are pathetic compared to the King of Olympus!" Zeus declared, lightning spouting from him once more. "The God of Lightning!"
Max shook in fear at the sight.
"You dare say that when the God of Thunder stands in the room?!" Thor roared as he pointed his hammer at Zeus, who prepared to fight back, only for Master Xehanort to stand between them once more.
"We are not each other's enemies", Master Xehanort said, then looked between both with a smirk. "Kratos is."
Zeus growled at the name as Master Xehanort turned to Thor. "He means to hurt your daughter, and your wife, everyone you care about."
"And that monster will never stop until he gets to them", Xemnas added with a raised eyebrow, while gesturing to Zeus. "Just like he did not stop in his fight against the Olympians."
"Kratos has to be stopped! I must protect those I love!" Thor declared with a roar as he lifted up his hammer.
"Indeed, he shall pay for what he did to my fellow Gods, who shall be brought back at the end of this", Zeus agreed as well.
"Damn! This is scary!" Max muttered to himself.
"I hate waiting!" Glory said angrily, then stomped her foot.
"You are a bigger brat than humans", Lucifer had to say to her.
"Don't you dare compare me to those good-for-nothing creatures!" Glory screamed. "Otherwise I'll-"
Lucifer pointed his hand at her and she gasped, falling to her knees. "You'll what?!" He let go, as she panted, while he walked closer to her, kneeling to her level. "You are a powerful Goddess from a Hell Dimension, but you do not have your entire power with you. And I am the Devil that humanity fears, they say my name to scare everyone from the path of wrong!" His eyes glowed red, and even Glory was unnerved.
"He is such a drama queen", Zankou muttered, but Lucifer heard him, and turned to him, making Zankou fall to his knees and cough blood too.
"You are needed in the upcoming battle, otherwise you'd be dead right now", Lucifer snarled at him, before Zankou recovered, staggering back up.
"We will be by your side", Azazel said to Lucifer as he, Alastair and Lilith all bowed to him.
"Yes, it shall be an honor to serve you with my life now", Lilith spoke as well.
"We all fight for you", Alastair told him too.
Lucifer just smirked, knowing all of them would serve him and fight those insolent fools who stood up against him.
"Your bosses imprisoned and tortured me", Lindsey snarled at Hamilton. "Cut my heart out every day, and I knew it in the back of my mind, and I couldn't do a thing!"
"I know", Marcus said unapologetically. "However, I believe we can make a deal…you and Angel as co-CEOs."
"Seriously?" Lindsey asked in surprise.
"Indeed, before you left, you were considered the one with the most potential alongside Lilah, regardless of some screw-ups", Hamilton told him. "But we still need to corrupt the Vampire first. Perhaps with you by his side, it can happen easier. You get the power you want, and we can still corrupt Angel."
Lindsey looked to be in consideration, then finally sighed and held out his hand. "You've a deal."
Hamilton shook his hand. "Pleasure doing business with you."
"But I'm still gonna beat him up badly first and show him who the real power is", Lindsey added with a little smirk.
Zod walked to Davis. "Hello Davis Bloome."
Davis looked up at Zod from where he was sitting. "I heard…..that you are my father."
"You heard right, my son", Zod said, putting emotion into his voice as he held out his hand, and actually patted Davis' head. Davis seemed to relish the affection for a moment, before pulling his head back.
"Don't cozy up, father!" Davis snarled at him. "We both know what kind of guy you really are."
"And we both know what kind of man you are, son", Zod said in response, as Davis opened and closed his mouth a few times, but no sound came out. "I do not expect you to accept me as your father after all this time."
"Damn right!"
"But I was hoping we could move past that and work together", Zod said as he knelt to Davis, looking him in the eye. "Take over the world."
"Why do you think I want to take over the world?" Davis inquired.
"Well, if we take over, no one will ever stop you from becoming who you truly are, and killing the scum you want to kill", Zod assured him, grasping Davis by the shoulders. "Under my rule, you shall always get what you want, without people like Kal-El telling you what to do and what not to do. Tell me, what do you say?"
Davis looked into his father's for a whole minute.
Then, he nodded.
"I accept."
Zod smiled as he said. "Kal-El shall soon be killed."
"Yes, I look forward to doing that", Davis agreed.
"So many humans here", Sensui noted as he looked between them all. "And aliens. And Demons." He looked at Lucifer briefly. "And beyond."
"What do you make of this, Sensui?" Itsuki asked him.
"As long as the hole is opened in our world, this does not matter", Sensui said, clutching his fists. "If I have to work with some human vermin briefly, so be it." And he did not mean Sephiroth or Master Xehanort, as they were beyond humans and everyone and everything else he knew.
Suddenly, Sensui's expression faltered, and he began to cry, Itsuki realizing this was Naru.
"Itsuki, I killed that old lady!" Naru started crying, Itsuki hugging her for comfort. "I mean, humans are bad, but I punched her so hard she died. It felt awful!" Naru's crying got worse, Itsuki kissing his head for comfort.
"Its all right, Naru, I'm here with you now", Itsuki said in reassurance, when Goblin laughed maniacally from a corner.
"What's so funny?!" Itsuki asked him with a snarl.
"So strong, yet he lets weakness take over", Goblin commented, causing Naru to look at him with fearful, tear-strained eyes.
"Itsuki, I don't like the look he is giving me", Naru said, hugging Itsuki tighter.
"Your weakness is...your basic morality", Goblin replied, getting into Naru's face, Itsuki glaring at him. "It cannot handle what you do, and that is why, you become so weak."
"Coming from the petty and insane murderer", Itsuki snarled at Goblin, who just laughed in their faces, before walking off, and Itsuki continued to comfort Naru.
"Finally, I can do all the experiments I want without The Doctor or anyone else getting in the way", The Rani said as she looked between the robot-Troll-Orc mix creatures she'd made. "This….this is just the beginning."
Sabretooth was looking at the Sentinels strangely as Ansem Seeker of Darkness asked him out of curiosity. "Why are you looking at them like that?"
"Those things are designed to kill Mutants", Sabretooth told him. "But Sephiroth did something to them, so they target all Mutants except me."
"Well, I'd call that a good thing", Xigbar commented. "Otherwise we'd be down one man. As if."
"Soon, it will begin", Vergil said, looking down. "And then, we will get what we want, and never see each other again."
Sephiroth had summoned two more versions of himself to him, and they looked at him in awe after he'd shown what he planned to them.
"Can all that truly be accomplished?" One version asked, who looked almost exactly like he did when he'd returned via Kadaj, asked him.
"It can", he said, then turned to his other version, who looked like he did when he worked for SOLDIER. "No more getting caught up in the battle between Cosmos and Chaos. We all shall defeat Cloud….as one!"
"Yes", the other two versions said at the same time, as they grasped Sephiroth's hand, and then all of them were one.
"Now….the time shall soon come."
At the high school, the Peters, The Doctor, Clark, Kara, J'onn, Jack, River and Logan turned on the lights in the science lab and watched as Peter emptied the bag of damaged cures onto a table.
"Okay, so Connors, Marko, Dillion, and uh…" Peter set every cure down until coming to the one for the Goblin and set it down with a bit more force than the others, which they all noticed. "Uh, look, I think that I can repair the devices for Dillon and Marko, but the others…"
"Well, I've got Connors," Peter-3, wearing a lab coat, said as he picked up said cure. "I've already cured him once, it's no big deal." He noticed the looks they were all giving him. "What? It's no big deal."
"Now that's just showing off," Jack said and River smirked.
"Exactly how I like it", River told him, shooting The Doctor a sultry look that he, to her shock, ignored as he looked away.
"I think I can make an antiserum for Dr. Osborn. Been thinking about it a long time," Peter-2 said as he picked up the Goblin cure, giving Peter a look. "We gotta cure all of them, right? It's what we do."
"Right," Peter said softly, the feelings of conflict welling up in him as he remembered May.
"If we can save lives, we should," The Doctor agreed, nodding at Peter-2.
"Guess you always wanted to help him", Clark noted to Peter-2 about Norman. "You just never got the chance."
"Unfortunately, no. But now I might have it", Peter-2 assured Clark.
"Yeah, I think about that all the time", Clark sighed as he thought of Lex. "Unfortunately, the guy I'm thinking about just has delusions of grandeur where he is the savior and I am not."
"And that, unfortunately, cannot be cured", Jones said with a sigh, Peter-2 nodding in sympathy.
"All right, let's get started, we're here to help", Kara said immediately.
As The Doctor was working, away from River, who looked hurt, Jack and Logan walked to him, and Clark too.
"You seem to be ignoring her", Jack noted to his friend while discreetly gesturing to River with his head.
"Well, I don't think you want to share the lots of things you mentioned either", The Doctor pointed out to Jack, who sighed sadly, but got his point.
"Difference is, he ain't letting that get in the way", Logan pointed out, causing The Doctor to look up at him. "River is right here, and she can see you're pulling away from her."
"So what do I do?" The Doctor almost snapped, suddenly looking emotional, a far cry from his jovial self they'd seen so far. "She is supposed to be dead!"
"Well, others like Carter, Tara and Zack are supposed to be dead too", Clark pointed out. "But they're here, and things can change so they'll remain. Why are you not happy to see her?"
"Because its different!" The Doctor said, confusing them. "When I first met her, she knew all about me, and I had no idea who she was."
"Wait…." Logan trailed off. "You're saying…"
"Yes."
"Well, I'll be damned!" Logan muttered, Clark shooting The Doctor a look of sympathy.
"She sacrificed herself to save us all. Then I met her again, and again, and again, which for her was before, but for me, it was after", The Doctor continued to tell them. "Now I know more about her, and she knows less about me. We keep coming together, but I know it will not last." He took a deep breath, composing himself. "And this is her just before she died. So tell me….what am I supposed to say to her?"
"I'm sorry, Doctor", Jack said sadly, The Doctor nodding in appreciation.
"I don't know what you're supposed to say to her", Clark said, then put a hand to The Doctor's shoulder. "But she is here, and I know in spite of your grief, you're glad that you two got to see each other. Doesn't that matter?"
"I'd say it does", Logan of all people said. "She knows you now, and you know her. There is no better moment."
Clark and Logan walked off, leaving The Doctor to his thoughts, as he looked at River again, and she was working as well, clearly hurt.
"What about Ned and MJ? They're still in trouble," Peter pointed out.
"Scott, Strange, Tara and the Charmed Ones are working on that. We need to focus on this. So let's get to work!" The Doctor said as he clapped his hands together. "We have a bunch of lives to save, along with a Multiverse."
New York Sanctum, same time
"I fear this time we are in battle against powers greater than even Sauron", Gandalf said to Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli. "And unlike the Dark Lord, he will not sit in the shadows, for he nearly has the power he covets."
"Battling him and his forces will be a daunting task", Aragorn agreed, before raising his sword. "But as I said before, this is not the day when our courage fails. This day we fight!"
"We fight", Legolas said with a nod.
"We fight", Gimli agreed as well, Gandalf smiling.
"Besides", Legolas noted as he looked at the others who were gathered. "We have powers greater than the Dark Lord on our side too."
"And this dark spirit? The Nogitsune?" Strange asked curiously and Scott grimaced.
"I know how to beat it. The problem is we need something to contain it. Something strong," Scott explained.
"Oh, not a problem," Strange said, holding his hand out and a wooden box, no bigger than a glass jar, appeared in his hand. "Ever hear the myth about Pandora's Box? Well, this would have made sure none of the omens would have gotten out."
"That should work then," Scott said although they noticed he was still tense.
"It's not gonna be easy though," Angel noted.
"No," Scott said with a sigh. "We need a Divine Move."
"A what?" Sora asked as they all looked at Scott in bewilderment.
"In Go, a Divine Move is what you'd call truly inspired or out of the box. A move that takes your opponent off guard. That's what we need," Scott said grimly.
"This isn't a game Scott," Tara said gently.
"It is to the Nogitsune," Derek pointed out. "He's doing it exactly like what he did when we fought him, he's got our backs against the wall and taking over all the territories: May and Genkai are dead, MJ and Ned are dying. And they've taken out our ability to set things right."
"Derek's right, things couldn't be much worse. We need a Divine Move of some kind," Scott with a sigh.
"This Nogitsune is a trickster fox spirit, right?" Kurama inquired, and Scott gave a nod.
Kurama had a firm look in his eyes. "I am a fox spirit too. Let us see how he and I compare."
"The Nogitsune is too dangerous", Scott warned him. "You haven't met him yet."
"Well", Yusuke spoke up, managing to grin a little. "I say the Nogitsune hasn't met Kurama yet."
Kurama smirked once more. "I will fight him, and you can end him."
"Got it", Scott noted, before Strange handed two arrows with silver arrow-heads to Legolas.
"The only thing that can kill the Oni", Scott told Legolas.
"I shall end them", Legolas assured him, putting the arrows in his quiver.
"We've beaten Zankou before", Piper then told the rest. "The circumstances are different but we should do it again."
"Its him and Barbas together that can be a problem", Phoebe noted.
"As long as we don't let him control our fear, we can get him", Paige assured her sisters, shuddering once more as she thought of Henry dying.
"That Glory gal is back too, eh? What'll we do now about her?" Spike wondered.
"Well, since B loves the scythe too much, I got this", Faith said as she lifted up the Troll Hammer. "Last I heard, it worked against her."
"Right, so that's that", Spike noted. "But how do we put her down completely?"
"I was reading up on some spells here", Tara said at that point. "The magic here is more powerful than in our world. While I haven't tried any spells yet, I think I can do this one. It shall be enough for her."
"Lindsey is mine", Angel said with a growl that left no room for argument.
"These Sentinels sound bad, but Gambit will slow them down", Gambit assured the rest of them.
"Sounds like fun", Faith said, giving him a wink and smirk, as he smirked back, Angel groaning while Spike and Tara chuckled.
"Leaves the more powerful ones", Dean realized. "So, Superman has to fight Zod and Doomsday both? Yeah, that'll be a pain."
"Last time, he was alone", Carter pointed out as he held up his mace. "This time he is not." His face turned grim. "But Doomsday is a powerful monster from what I've heard. And it is near impossible to kill him. We don't have the Phantom Zone Crystal to send him to the Phantom Zone either."
"Maybe…..I can help with that", Strange told him. "Do you know anyone who has been there?"
"Clark has, and Kara too", Carter informed him. "And Zod was sent in there as well."
"I just need one hair now", Strange assured Carter.
"What about Sensui?" Sam asked, looking at Yusuke sadly.
"I will deal with him", Yusuke snarled, clutching his fist, as Kurama, Kuwabara and Koenma looked at him in concern again. "He is mine." Kratos noted the anger within him over the loss of his mentor, and had a feeling on what he intended to do. He just hoped that Yusuke could deal with Sensui in a way that did not send him down a dark path.
He knew what that was like, and he did not want the same for anyone else.
"We have all fought Master Xehanort and his real Organization XIII before", Sora told the rest of them. "We will fight them again. This time, we have as much knowledge of what will happen as they do."
"All of us need to coordinate well, and make sure all of them are occupied", Riku added from his end.
"Yes, that can be done", Terra assured him.
"So, we will have them handled", Aqua agreed as well.
"And like before, you are not doing this without us, Sora", Donald said to Sora, who smiled and chuckled.
"Yes, this will be the three of us again", Goofy added, Sora putting his arms around them with a smile.
"Well….we got Azazel, Alastair, Lilith….and Lucifer", Sam then said, the others still getting used to the fact that the Devil was a thing. "How do we beat them?"
"I can take down Azazel, Alastair and Lilith with my new power", Castiel said to the brothers. "But Lucifer…he is beyond me."
"Maybe you can hold him off till one of us", Dante gestured to himself, Kratos, Cloud, Zack and Sora and his friends, "gets free, and we can help you out."
Castiel considered, then nodded, as Gandalf assured him. "I shall aid you in this task, my friend."
"You have my thanks", Castiel replied.
"If only we had the Colt", Dean said with a sigh.
"The what?" Strange asked him.
"It was a weapon that could kill almost anything", Dean revealed to Strange. "But it can't kill Lucifer, and he said it can't kill four more things. Would have been useful against the other three though."
"I think I have something that can work", Strange said as he went off, and in a minute, returned with what looked like a gun, and it resembled the Colt quite a bit. "It is a magical weapon that looks like a gun, it can fire a magical shot based on the emotions of its wielder."
"Meaning?" Sam inquired.
"The angrier you are, the more powerful it gets", Strange said, handing it to Dean. "Usually, those who are not Mystics can't use it, but I sense you and Sam are more than normal. With enough power behind it, I believe it can even take out Lucifer, or at least wound him grievously."
"Well, works for us", Dean said with a shrug.
"Of course", Strange added cryptically. "Calmness is the greatest emotion."
"We shall battle the Orcs and any other creatures that are part of their forces", Aragorn then told the rest of them while gesturing to himself, Legolas and Gimli. "They will not get past us."
"Oh no", Gimli smirked before looking at Legolas. "Ready for more, pointy-ear?"
Legolas simply smirked at that, as Paige asked. "What about Zeus and Thor?"
"I shall deal with Zeus", Kratos said, his voice heavy as he thought of the man he used to be. "I am not the man he fought before, but he shall know me once more."
"The Zeus in my world is not the greatest, but he is not this bad", Diana had to say, Kratos looking at her. "I shall aid you in fighting your Zeus when the time comes."
"You have my thanks for that", Kratos said, the two warriors, who were both children of Zeus in different Universes, sharing a nod. "Together, we shall defeat him."
"Together."
"And Thor?" Tara inquired.
"Like we said before, Thor can be reasoned with", Atreus assured the rest of them. "We will try to talk him down as we fight him. Let us hope he listens."
"Hope…is our greatest weapon", Kratos declared to them all. "Hope…shall guide us in our battle."
"What about Vergil?" Trish asked Dante, whose face was stoic.
"I've dealt with my brother before", Dante said, then shook his head. "I'll do it again." In spite of her reservations against Vergil, Lady put a hand on Dante's shoulder to offer comfort, and he appreciated it.
"And that leaves…." Tifa trailed off. "Sephiroth."
"More powerful than ever", Vincent said grimly. "We could take the others out, but Sephiroth is leagues above most of them."
"Well, what do we got to do about that?" Barret wondered.
"Yeah, even all of us together might struggle", Zack agreed as well, then turned to Cloud. "Cloud?"
Cloud suddenly gasped and held his head as he heard her once more.
"Cloud, you're not alone in this. Sephiroth has help, but you can have help too. Not just against him….but to fix the barriers. Come….come to me."
"Cloud, what's the matter?" Zack asked him.
"It was….it was her", Cloud revealed, and even Tifa, Vincent and Barret knew what that meant.
"Can she help us?" Tifa inquired with a smile.
"I think so", Cloud said to her. "Against Sephiroth and the collapsing Multiverse. But I'm not sure how to get to her."
"Let me see how", Strange then spoke, walking up to Cloud and raising his hands as they glowed with Eldritch magic. He put them around Cloud's head, closing his eyes as Cloud gritted his teeth while Strange gasped. Then, Strange opened his eyes while removing his hands. "I know where to go."
He walked ahead, and opened a portal with his magic. "I shall be back soon. Cloud, come on."
Cloud looked at Zack, who gave him a thumbs-up. "Go Cloud, be a hero."
"If anyone can do it, you can", Barret added.
Vincent just gave him a nod, and then Tifa smiled at him, as she and Cloud shared a kiss, before he shared looks with all four of them, and followed Strange into the portal.
Midtown School of Science and Technology
"Impressive," The Doctor noted, watching as Peter-3 worked on the cure for Connors. "You would have done well on Gallifrey."
"I will take that as a compliment," Peter-3 said with a slight chuckle.
"Well, I think you should", Clark shrugged to him. "I know people who'd be impressed too."
The Doctor glanced at Peter-3, seeing much of himself after the Time War in the other man. A wounded warrior, carrying regret like a coat on his skin. Remembering Peter-3's tale about Gwen, The Doctor couldn't help but remember his own loss of Rose and his upcoming parting with River, which was close to him now, he thought as he looked at River.
They were on borrowed time, as they had always been.
"Do you…have someone in your life?" The Doctor asked cautiously.
"No, I got no time for Peter Parker stuff. Do you have anyone?" Peter-3 asked curiously.
"That's…complicated," The Doctor said with a heavy sigh, looking at River, which Peter-3 noticed too. "I suppose you could say we're taking time apart...in a manner of speaking, right now. But I...lost someone I love too."
He hadn't lost her yet, but he had.
"I'm sorry," Peter-3 said and The Doctor smiled weakly.
"Thank you. But I keep being told that I should never be alone. And neither should you," The Doctor said and Peter-3 smiled weakly.
"I just don't think it's in the cards for me," Peter-3 sighed.
"Well, I wouldn't give up," Peter-2 said from where he had been working nearby. "It took a while, but we made it work."
"See? It's not impossible," The Doctor added with a gesture at Peter-2.
"I never thought it would work, especially not with someone who wasn't different like me", Clark then added, as Peter-3 looked at him. "One woman with whom I was in love for a long time…..I did not tell her who I was, and she didn't like that. While there were many other issues, I always thought I wouldn't find anyone." His face darkened as he thought of Alicia. "There was another woman I loved who was different like me….but I lost her."
"I'm sorry", Peter-3 said, remembering Clark had spoken of her earlier.
"But me and Lois…..there were issues, and Lois even thought for a bit that if I was with her, I won't be able to help others", Clark said, then smiled at Peter-3. "But we made it work. And I'm sure you can too."
"Thanks", Peter-3 nodded in appreciation.
Kara called out. "Peter!"
All three Peters turned at once.
"Yeah? Oh, sorry. Did you mean—" All three pointed at each other. "Him?"
That brought some chuckles as Jack said. "I needed this."
Kara continued. "Peter, Peter—"
"We're all called Peter—" They continued pointing.
"Peter Parker?"
"Same again—"
Peter-3 shrugged. "We're all Peter Parker."
Kara gave up. "It's uh... the computer!"
"Oh!" Peter moved to his laptop, spotting the diagnostic results. "Oh, I'm ready."
"Yeah. Me too", Peter-3 said, looking at his cure. "Okay, so now all we gotta do is lure these guys some place, right? Try to cure them while they try to kill us, and then send them home."
Peter-2 added. "Using magic." A look between them. This was crazy, but we're doing it.
Peter sighed. "Well, that's the plan."
"I will handle Sabretooth", Logan assured them. "Me and Gambit can also take on the Sentinels."
"What about The Rani's creations?" Jack asked The Doctor.
"They stopped when she asked them to", The Doctor remembered. "Meaning they have a chip each that can control them. And those have to be connected." He took out his Sonic Screwdriver. "A pulse from this could fry one chip, and due to the connection, fry all."
"Problem is getting close enough", Jack noted, The Doctor nodding.
"Yeah."
"We will help with that", River said, The Doctor turning to her. "Won't we, honey?"
Remembering all that Clark and Logan had said to him, The Doctor walked to River, and held her chin, making her look into his eyes.
"We will, honey."
Peter-3 asked Peter-2. "So, wait, are you gonna go into battle dressed as a cool youth pastor, or... do you got your suit?" Peter-2 lowered his T-shirt collar to reveal he was wearing his Spider-Man suit underneath. "Good."
"Nice work wearing it there", Logan told Peter. "Though….red spandex?"
"What did you expect, black leather?" Spider-Man asked with a raised eyebrow, and even Logan had to chuckle at that.
Jones slid over cartridges of web fluid to Peter. "Here are your web cartridges that you'd asked for. "
"Thank you."
Peter-2 was confused. "What's that for?"
Peter explained. "Uh, it's my web fluid, it's for my web shooters. Why?"
Peter-2 raised his hand and FIRED A WEB FROM HIS BARE WRIST! The others all reacted in shock or disgust.
"Did that…." Logan trailed off.
"Yeah….." Clark muttered.
"Wow!" Kara had to say.
Jones simply nodded.
Peter and Peter-3 said together. "Whoa...!"
Jack gasped. "That came out of you!"
"Yeah", Peter-2 turned to Peter with a smirk. "You can't do that, huh?"
"No!"
"What an ability", River muttered.
"It is quite fascinating, this process, I have to wonder on it", The Doctor noted, but noticed Peter-2's uncomfortable look. "Sorry."
"Anyway, we're getting sidetracked", Peter said. "We just need to draw them somewhere and do the job." He looked at them. "Um, all right. Here goes nothing."
Strange and Cloud arrived at the same place where Thor had been possessed by the Norns years earlier after he'd come here with Selvig due to the vision granted to him by Wanda.
"Why are we here?" Cloud asked Strange.
"The Lifestream…..it is flowing underneath these waters", Strange revealed to Cloud. "The pure, uncorrupted form of it."
"You sure about this?" Cloud inquired.
"I am", Strange assured him. "I won't say this but…..it has to be a leap of faith."
Nodding, Cloud took a deep breath, then ran forth and leapt into the pool, finding himself going deeper down and down.
Later, New York Sanctum
Strange portaled back in with the Peters, Clark, Kara, Jones, Logan, The Doctor, Jack and River, the rest noting Cloud wasn't with him.
"Where is Cloud?" Zack asked before Tifa could.
"Someone called to him. He will come", Strange assured all of them. "And he will come with what we truly need….against both Sephiroth and the Multiverse's collapse."
"If he doesn't, I will make you pay", Vincent snarled at Strange, who simply nodded.
"Fair."
Tifa looked concerned, but Barret put gave her a nod of encouragement, and she smiled.
Peter did a double take on seeing Mickey, Donald and Goofy. "Whoa! You lot are real?!"
"What does that even mean?" Mickey asked in confusion.
"Peter, these are my friends", Sora made the introductions. "Donald, Goofy and King Mickey." He then gestured to Riku and Kairi. "And those are Riku and Kairi."
"...Right. Hey guys", Peter waved, looking weirded out as he turned to the other two Peters and Strange. "You didn't mention this."
"Wanted to see you reaction", Peter-3 shrugged.
Carter asked Clark. "You were...acting strangely when you first saw me, why was that?"
Clark decided there was no point in hiding it. "Carter, you died in the fight against Slade to protect Lois." Carter looked stricken, Clark walking to him, looking at him sadly. "I'm sorry, I wanted to tell you but...I just didn't know how to." He gave Carter a bittersweet smile. "But you have my thanks for protecting her, always."
"I'll always protect those I care about", Carter assured Clark, recovering himself, before rubbing his head. "I have died so many times, but...knowing this life of mine is going to end, and coming to the future before that..." He shook his head. "Now that is new."
Peter walked to Yusuke. "I heard...about Genkai. I'm so sorry."
"I'm sorry about your aunt", Yusuke said to Peter too, both empathizing with each other as they put their hands on the other's shoulders. "But we will make them all pay for what they did."
"We will", Peter agreed with a snarl, causing the other two Peters and Kratos to look at the two in concern.
"So...you're a God, eh?" Dante asked Kratos, causing Kratos to look at him.
"I am, yes. And you're a Demon?"
"Half-Demon."
"I sense there is great power within you", Kratos noted to Dante. "Greater than any I've felt."
"Yours is not too bad either", Dante shrugged, before telling him. "As bad as the situation is, its gonna be fun fighting alongside you."
Kratos nodded. "I look forward to it. It shall be an honor to fight alongside you."
Sora was next to the two of them now. "Oh yeah, I will be honored too."
Kratos smiled at him, happy to see that even though he was a warrior as a young kid, he was a happy, go-lucky boy too. "Indeed, young one." His face turned serious. "But this will be the greatest battle we shall face."
"Which just makes it even more exciting", Dante said, cracking his knuckles, trying not to think of Vergil.
"Either way, its gonna be the fight of our lives", Zack noted to the three of them. "But we all have each other to help out."
Sora nodded. "Yes, and we are each other's powers."
Suddenly, Tara gasped, feeling something. "We have a problem."
"Aren't all our problems already bad enough?" Dean groaned.
"They seem to be gathering", Hiei said, sharing a look with Yusuke, Kurama, Kuwabara and Koenma. "All of them."
"Meaning we have to fight!" Kuwabara said. "Well, I will show them how a true man fights."
"Yeah, you tell them!" Dean cheered him.
"And they are all very close", Castiel said.
"It seems they want us to go and battle them", Gandalf realized.
"Yeah, its clearly a trap, on the Statue of Liberty", Strange said, sensing where they all were coming. "And the Multiverse is collapsing. Cloud will come, but we need to do something before that. I alone can't hold it", he looked to Tara and the Charmed Ones. "And no offense but you aren't powerful enough to help me."
"When I'm done with the Rani's creations, I can help out with the TARDIS", The Doctor said, causing the rest to look at him. "It can help in sealing it all up, at least briefly."
"My mafuukan", Koenma suddenly said.
"Your what?" Piper asked him.
"I don't just keep this pacifier in my mouth because I like it", Koenma told everyone present. "My Spirit Energy has been focused into it for a long time. It is still not strong enough right now, since I'm recovering from failing to use it against Sensui, but it can slow the collapse down."
"How are you that powerful?" Peter asked, confused on how a teenager would have such power.
"I am the Prince of the Spirit World."
That surprised some of them.
"Oh!"
"We can help too", Roxas offered Strange, holding up both his Keyblades. "We have these."
"And with them, we can shut some pathways", Xion agreed as well. "Won't seal everything, but it will help."
"Better than nothing at least", Ven had to say.
"We just need to deal with Master Xehanort and the others first", Kairi pointed out the barrier in their way. "Then we can help out."
"Easier said than done", Lea sighed, holding out his hand. "Still don't have my-" His Keyblade suddenly appeared in his hand again. "Oh!"
"A connection to the Keyblade cannot easily be broken", Mickey said to Lea. "When Xemnas shattered it, it weakened you briefly, and you needed to strengthen yourself again to be able to summon it."
"And now I got it", Lea realized with a smirk.
"Well, let us go", Logan said to the rest of them. "We don't have much time."
"And we're gonna have to be prepared", Clark added as well.
"They must have made preparations to counter us too", Diana pointed out. "So we need to make sure that our plans are better than theirs, and that we work in tandem to defeat each of them one by one."
"Then we must began our journey towards this Statue of Liberty," Legolas said as he gripped his bow tightly.
"Legolas is right. We have a small window of opportunity to face this threat," Aragorn said as he grabbed his sword, looking around at all of them. "We have only recently met, but I know you all to be of noble character. We come from different worlds, but we all have the same goal: to save the Multiverse and stop Sephiroth and his allies before they can hurt anyone else. In such a battle, it is not likely that we all return alive. You are all Champions of your own worlds, and it will be an honor to fight alongside each and every one of you."
"Nice speech," Angel said impressed with Aragorn.
"Yeah, even I felt something at that", Dante had to say, Hiei of all people looking inspired too.
"Like I said, Hope shall guide us", Kratos reminded them of what he'd said earlier, Aragorn, Legolas and Gandalf smiling as they thought of a certain other name Aragorn had in Elvish.
"Alright, let's go. Like Aragorn said, we have a Multiverse to save," Peter-2 said as the group began heading out.
Cloud looked around, walking through what was an old church, the roof of it having caved in, a bed of flowers in the middle of it. The sky was not covered here, and the flowers were having all the sunlight they needed.
A woman in red and pink was tending to the flowers, smiling and humming to herself, before she sensed the footsteps coming closer.
She looked up at Cloud with a smile, and stood up, her eyes not looking away from Cloud's for even a moment.
"Good to see you, Cloud."
And another one is over as plans are all made on how to defeat the bad guys. Since I couldn't sensibly bring in the Colt or the Phantom Zone Crystal, Strange's 'Colt' and portal opening are the best bet.
Well, The Doctor finally spoke to River, good for him.
The interactions between the three Spider-Men are always gold, and just too amazing whenever I see them.
The entire thing with The Doctor frying the chips on the cyborg Orc/Troll fusions is inspired by something in Stand with Ward and Queen's story 'The Doctor: War of The Force', so thanks a lot to him.
Hope the interactions between the villains were all enjoyed and made sense too. I only really focused on the more powerful ones for the most part since the weaker ones would be too scared shitless to even speak in the presence of people like Sephiroth, Vergil, Master Xehanort, Zeus, Thor, Lucifer and Sensui for the most part.
The other two Sephiroths that Sephiroth (who is already a fusion between the FFVII and KH versions) fused with were the versions from 'Dissidia Final Fantasy' and 'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate'.
And now, Cloud has gone into the Lifestream to gain power to defeat Sephiroth, and met Aerith.
