Are you ready for more? I said, ARE YOU READY FOR MORE?!
GOOD! Cause I sure as hell wasn't going to write the next chapter this soon. I was literally working on Wielder of Darkness and New Face of Death at the same time. Then, out of nowhere, when reading an old favorite Naruto x DxD story, I started thinking about this one and what to do with the next chapter. Then I started thinking about the beginning part, and it spiraled into me just writing right away when I just wanted to do the beginning.
So, now you have this. Enjoy it because I'm serious when I say I will upload WOD and NFoD next. I just know you guys will like the return of NFoD.
Now, let's get into the reviews!
Atengawchok: Yes :D
HyperA2019: He would have to be a devil to get one of those
Lost Dingo22: Nice to see someone knew the character! Also, no, that wasn't Kurama talking to Naruto.
The Storm Master 567: Yes, she is from Dragon's Rioting, and Naruto is no bitch
YuukiAsuna-Chan: I'm sorry, but we, normal people, don't like to read or write NTR since that seems to be your interest. We shall stick with good stories to be read and written here. Goodbye and good riddance :D
Zoran Dawn-Eclipse: Thank you! Thank you! I aim to please those who like to read GOOD content.
Yami Luna Kitsune: No, naruto definitely has a scent. She said she couldn't sense him.
Those are all the reviews I wish to address. Now, let me announce that Rias Gremory will not be with Naruto. She shall still end up with Issei. I have an idea of who all Issei will be with.
ON WITH THE SHOW!
A Clash of Rivals and Love!
It was an intense stare-down between the three of them. The young, provocative woman stood defiantly and boldly against Naruto—the young blonde man who looked exasperated by this woman's presence. And then there was Tsubaki, who switched between staring at Naruto and the dress code violator. Countless students enraptured by the drama were still outside or coming to the school.
Naruto released a sigh and ran a hand down his face. How the hell did she find him here?! How long had she been searching? He just knew her mother had to have been involved. That woman had connections that were almost as vast as his Godmother's.
"Kyōka. It's so good to see you. Just how exactly did you find me?" Naruto asked while trying to hold back the sarcasm that entered his voice. The now-named Kyōka grinned wildly like a predator as she took several steps closer to them.
"Heh, like you don't have an idea already. You, of all people, know how persistent I can be, especially with what's on the line." Her eyes narrowed, but the grin stayed. Her fists perched on her hips as she stared into Naruto's mismatched eyes. "Don't think I've forgotten that promise you made to me. No matter what you say, you aren't weaseling your way out of it."
"I guess I shouldn't have expected you to forget about that." He grimaced while she only chuckled. He wasn't a man who took his promises lightly, so the one he made with her was almost a delicate matter. He really had no idea why he even made it back then. Guess it was stress from needing to leave immediately.
"It was foolish of you." She wrapped her arms around her body, pushing her breasts together in a way that made many of the male students almost die from a nosebleed. "After all, you're the only person who can make my body feel so alive." Kyōka's eyes were half-lidded, and her grin became a smirk as many students took her words wrongfully. Whispers were spreading as those outside grew blushes from the supposed meaning. Naruto groaned with a blush coming to his face, knowing she had just said that to mess with him. At this point, Tsubaki was done being ignored and stepped forward.
"Whatever connection you have with Uzumaki-san can wait. I don't know who you are, but considering you are wearing our school's uniform, you must be another new transfer." Her eyes narrowed here as she did her best to let her brow twitch when looking at how she was dressed. "However, you completely violate the student body dress code. As such, you must come with me to handle this violation immediately."
"Ugh, you remind me of that weakling Rino too much." Kyōka rolled her eyes before her hands came up to run her fingers through her hair. She fluffed and flipped it back before grinning and staring directly at Naruto. "Besides, I have more important matters to deal with, and they can't wait for your dumb regulations." She raised her left hand and flexed it. Suddenly, everyone felt a pressure bearing down on them. Naruto knew what this was and took a step back, not believing she would do this here! This pressure only came from those who earned the title of:
⌈ DRAGON ⌋
"Whoa, hold up, Kyōka! You can't be serious right now?!"
"Ya damn right I am. I haven't seen you in well over a year. It took me and Ka-san way. Too. DAMN. LONG! To find you." Her grin became feral before she began walking-nay-stalking towards him. "Let's see if you've been slacking off, eh, Naru-koi~."
Before Tsubaki could intervene, since the pressure had momentarily frozen her, Kyōka was already past her. Her right leg was high, ready to crush Naruto where he stood. Luckily, the blonde has been part of this song and dance before. He jumped back as many flinched and had wide eyes as Kyōka's heel crushed and cracked the ground where Naruto had stood. Debris was flying, and many could see Kyōka's grin grow. Naruto grimaced briefly before tossing his bag to the side just as the provocative woman was upon him.
She pivoted, snapping a high roundhouse kick toward his temple, her form perfect. He ducked just in time, the rush of air from her kick brushing past his ear and ruffling his hair. Not missing a beat, he spun low, sweeping his leg at her ankles in a counterattack. She flipped back when her leg was taken from under her and landed on her feet in a crouch. No time was wasted as she came at him quickly with a knee aimed at his ribs. Naruto blocked this with his forearm and twisted his body, using her momentum to pivot and deliver a spinning back fist toward her face. She leaned back just in time, the punch grazing her cheek as she countered with a lightning-fast elbow to his jaw.
Naruto grunted as he backed away, rubbing his jaw from that last hit. She definitely improved since the last time they fought, but he wasn't taking this seriously. Mainly because he didn't think this was the right time to do this. Kuoh Academy was not Nangokuren.
"Come on, Naru-koi," Kyōka practically purred her nickname for him. He will deny to everyone that he felt a shiver went down his spine when she spoke like that. "I know you are better than that. Stop hiding like some whipped dog and fight me for real!" She released a flurry of kicks, each one aimed with deadly precision. Naruto narrowed his eyes before dodging or blocking each strike. His movements were fluid, and he was visibly moving faster. Stopping her flurry, she dashed forward and threw a feint, pretending to aim for his head but shifting at the last second to strike low. He recognized the move and quickly grabbed her by the wrist and spun her around so that he held her in a lock. She grunted in annoyance more than pain before jumping and flipping over Naruto, landing on his shoulders. Kyōka locked the arm attached to the hand that grabbed her between her legs. Pulling at it, she forced him to fall over as she continued to lock his arm in place and pulled. It felt like she was trying to dislocate it.
Naruto growled before showing some impressive strength and lifted her before slamming her back to the concrete several times before she finally let go. They both rolled away from each other and panted lightly. The break didn't last long; the two new students became blue in arms and legs as the fight continued. There were students and teachers now watching the battle between the two from the windows, with those outside gathering around to watch and a few recording the interaction with their phones. Tsubaki didn't know what she should do in this situation. They were both fighting on par with each other, proving her theory about one of them. She felt that Uzumaki was supernatural or at least had a sacred gear inside him. And now there was possibly another here that, from what she could see, would make a fine addition to her Kaichou's peerage if they were willing to have her join.
It wasn't helping that they were doing this right in front of the entire student body!
'We really need to stop this… but I can't help this excitement!' Naruto thought to himself, a grin now on his face to match his opponent. The fight continued. Kyōka came at him with a front kick that he caught, which led her to use her other leg to kick his chin. He let go of her foot and leaned back from the kick. Now, in a handstand, Kyōka flipped forward with a fist careening to his head. Naruto stepped to the side before kicking at her ribs. She went flying but righted herself only to slide back. She rubbed her side but didn't look too affected by the attack. Suddenly, she got into a side stance with her left fist curled into a tight fist. Her right was in front of her like a claw, and many students would swear upon everything they thought they saw a dragon manifest behind her. Quite possibly, it was just the morning sun playing tricks on them.
Naruto knew what this was and was ready to respond in kind. He got into his own wide stance with his right fist at his side and his left in an open palm. Once again, students would claim to see a giant fox with big fangs manifest behind Naruto. They ran at each other before skidding on their opposite foot. Everyone watched as their fist flew through the air. Naruto's slammed into her stomach while Kyōka's slammed into his cheek. Both were mildly launched from the force of the attack and rolled on the ground. They both got to their feet quickly enough and were panting from the exchange. Grins mirroring each other. Before the two could even think about continuing.
"THE HELL DO YOU TWO THINK YOU'RE DOING?!"
(TF)
"The both of you have shown inexcusable behavior!" A random no-name teacher stated. Both Naruto and Kyōka were in the school's infirmary, having their bruises checked by the nurse. Both ignored the teacher's ramblings as they ranted on and on about the school's etiquette, the reputation and standards meant to be upheld, and whatever else they were trying to spew out to them.
"-and as new students, even with you being here for a month, Uzumaki-san, you are expected to take pride in these new values as students of this glorious academy." They finished before turning to stare at the two students…
…who fell asleep and leaned on each other's shoulders to stay up as the nurse continued to work.
"DID YOU EVEN HEAR A WORD I SAID?!" the teacher shrieked, and the two woke up and covered their ears.
"Yeah, yeah, we heard you. Now scram and leave us alone. Don't cha' got papers to grade or some other poor sap to bore." Kyōka said with the teacher fuming before stomping off out of the infirmary. The nurse finished her checkup on the two before writing down everything.
"Alright, you two. You should be fine by the end of the day. Those bruises seemed more superficial than expected. Just please don't try to fight again while recovering. You're not the only one tired of hearing that woman screech like a banshee." The nurse said, referring to her coworker who just left. The nurse bowed to both of them before handling some business in her office. The two were quiet as they sat together before Naruto finally decided to speak up.
"Kyōka, it is nice to see you again, but did you have to fight me in front of everyone? This place isn't like Nangokuren, where you can freely fight whoever you want."
She just scoffed and leaned back on the bed they were both sitting on. Her cleavage was on full display for his viewing pleasure. She knew he glanced at them before focusing back on her. It just made her smirk before looking at him. "So, what? If you think because we are in some new school and that'll stop me, you must have forgotten who I am. No matter where you go, only the strongest stand on top. I doubt anyone at this school even has the guts to go all out in their little clubs."
Naruto sighed but soon let out a chuckle. This was typical of her and just about everyone else at Nangokuren High School. "I shouldn't expect less from the Kōgōryū (Dragon of Power)."
"Heh, of course not. And glad to see the Sakuryakuryū (Dragon of Trickery) hasn't lost his touch." They both released light chuckles as they enjoyed each other's company again. Kyōka sat up and flicked her hair to the side before placing her left leg over the other. She propped her elbow on her thigh and held her head in her palm. She stared at him for some time, and Naruto stared back. She gave one of her rare secret smiles that wasn't filled with confidence or arrogance.
"I'm delighted to see you again. I still remember that day you left." Her eyes narrowed as she remembered the past. It was chaotic, as was what happened back then. "Did you take care of those men after you?" She asked seriously while Naruto lost his smile and nodded before sighing again. "Good, but I'm guessing you're still not gonna tell me what they wanted, huh?"
"I can't. I've told you before that I don't want to involve you or anyone else in my problems. The good thing is that I haven't encountered any others after that group."
"Hn, you should just tell me all the details. You claim these people have connections everywhere, yet you won't tell me who they are or what you did to piss them off. And despite what you may think, I'm the strongest woman you've ever met, so don't think I can't handle it." Kyōka stood from the bed and stretched her body. Naruto shook his head before watching as she grabbed the bags brought with them when they were guided here. She walked to the door before turning her head to look him in the eyes, a serious look on her face.
"I don't care what happens; you and I have unfinished business. That promise and our deal are still in place. Don't think I'll let you out of my sight again." Her face relaxed, and she smirked once again. "Now, I gotta go. I still need my stupid schedule for my classes here. See you around, Naruto." She opened the door to the infirmary, and Akeno Himejima was right there. Both buxom women stared at each other for a moment before Kyōka walked past. Akeno turned her head and narrowed her eyes on the brash woman before turning to focus on her childhood friend.
"Akeno? What brings you here?" Naruto asked as he stood up to grab his bag before he turned around and spotted his long-time friend.
"Well, I was with Rias as we had been coming from our club room. That's when we saw you and that new girl fighting in the school's courtyard. I wanted to follow up after you two were taken away, but classes were in session." She stood before and began doing her own checkup of his person. She turned his head from side to side and poked at his sides.
"Hey, easy there. I'm fine, nothing broken or too bruised." He chuckled as she continued to poke at his sides before she stepped back.
"That's good. I didn't know you could fight like that. Yuuto said could you were skilled with a blade, but I didn't think you had also taken up martial arts." Akeno placed a hand on her cheek and turned to the side. "Ara, there's so much we've missed since we were kids. There are so many things we don't know about each other."
'You have no idea, Akeno.' Naruto thought to himself with a sad smile on his face. He knew for a fact that Akeno didn't know precisely who or what he was. Knowledge like that was dangerous; if others found out, it would bring old problems back. He doubted he would have the strength to leave again, though, not after reconnecting with Akeno and finding Shirone, or Koneko as she likes to be called now, alive. He hadn't found time to speak with Koneko after their first encounter a month ago. Akeno was lucky to be in some of his classes, but they still hadn't had much time outside school to hang out. Something he should change.
"Yeah, though I have an idea of how to change that. Why don't we hang out tonight? You can stop by my bakery, and then I can show you my home."
Akeno blinked, and she turned her gaze to Naruto. "You have a bakery?"
"Yeah, I guess I forgot to mention that, huh?" He chuckled while scratching the back of his head. They left the infirmary and began making their way to class. "You remember how my mom got both of us into baking, right? Well, I had decided to keep up with it, and thanks to someone I met while in the UK, they helped set it up after she found out I would be coming back to Japan."
"Oh, wow! That sounds amazing. Maybe you'd let me work under you, Naruto-kun~." She said with a purr. Naruto felt his cheeks burn and his heart pound against his chest. He swallowed deeply and looked away so that he didn't see the half-lidded look she was giving him. Since when did she get so sultry?
"U-uh, ye-yeah, I wouldn't mind if you w-w-worked with me."
"Great!" She chirped with a smile that made him smile back. "Though I probably won't be a permanent employee. Just come in here and there whenever you need the help. You also mentioned your home. I didn't think you thought me like that, Naruto. You would try to take this poor maiden's innocence so suddenly?"
"What?! N-n-n-no! That's not what I meant by that! I just wanted you to stop by, is all!" Akeno giggled behind a hand as she enjoyed making her foxy-kun so flustered.
"Relax before you start blowing steam from your ears. It will be nice to come over and see your new home. I'll make sure to bring something as a homecoming gift." Naruto breathed out a sigh of relief before smiling and giving her a nod. They both entered their class and took their seats. It was time for another round of Algebra.
Oh, the joy…
[Shinobu Shoots 4:20 pm]
"Alright, that's a wrap for this set! Let's get the next one started." A woman said as she checked her phone to answer a few messages. "Next is the casual summer beach picnic. You! Get those props replaced with the new ones! You! Get the girls' bikinis ready! And you! Head down to the coffee shop and get me another iced latte with oat milk. Make sure they add double-no, triple espresso shots, and some caramel for flavor." She ordered out with everyone quickly moving to handle their jobs before she got angry with them.
"Alright, girls. You all have a fifteen-minute break before we hit the next shots. Rest up and be ready to switch clothes and visit the hairstylist." The obvious studio/photo manager said before walking off and calling someone. All the models there sighed in relief before walking off to eat something, find a seat, or mingle with each other. One of the girls ran a hand through her platinum blonde hair and sighed. Pulling her phone out, she found a spot on a wall to lean back on and began scrolling through her notifications. She continued to look through her phone before checking her messages. Besides the standard messages from her friends, her dad, a couple of "admirers," and her agent, none of these were messages she was looking for. She bit her lip and frowned as there was still no message from the boy she met at the airport.
'Did he lose interest in me before we even had a chance to talk? Or has he just been too busy? Should I send the first message?' She went to his contact information and hesitated. Would it seem desperate for her to be the first to contact him? And why was she so nervous about talking to him? She's messaged with other boys plenty of times before.
Granted, other boys never saved her from being harassed or worse.
"Whatcha doing, Ino?"
"AAAH!" She gave a small shout of surprise and had to catch her phone after it almost dropped to the ground. She glared at the woman who was laughing at her. "Not cool, Yumi."
"Sorry, I just saw you looking gloomily down while staring at your phone. What's the matter?" She took a peek at her fellow model's phone and saw Naruto's information. "Oh, having guy troubles?"
"That's none of your business." Ino held her phone close to her chest with narrowed eyes. Yumi just smirked, her eyes narrowing at her. She looked like a Cheshire cat. "Ugh, fine. If you just have to know, I met this guy back at the airport when I came in last month. He helped me out with some thugs that were harassing me. We exchanged numbers, but I haven't heard from him at all."
"Oh, jeez, I'm sorry to hear you had troubles when you arrived. Though, you shouldn't think too hard about this. If he hasn't messaged you yet, message him yourself. Remember that there are always missed opportunities in this life, especially in our field. No matter what anyone else tries to tell you."
Ino sighed and looked at her phone before turning back to Yumi. "I guess you're right. I shouldn't be overthinking this. Thanks, Yumi."
"You're welcome, Ino. You should hurry and message him, though. We only have about eleven minutes left for our break." The woman walked off to grab a snack from the food table. Ino stared at her phone and deeply breathed to relax her nerves before tapping Naruto's number.
" Hey, Naruto. It's me, Ino, from the airport." She hit send and walked off to find a place to sit. When she found a spot, her phone's notifications went off, and she saw a return message. This caused her to smile and open it up quickly.
" Yo, Ino! It's good to hear from you. I would have messaged you sooner, but I was busy getting used to my new school and settling in. What's up?" Ino released her held breath, which she didn't know was held.
" Nothing much, just on a job right now. I don't know if you recognize me, but I'm a model. I've been on a few magazine covers, but nothing too big yet. What school do you go to?"
" Oh, that's pretty awesome. You're beautiful, so I bet they feel lucky to have you on the team. Unfortunately, I've been out of the country for most of my recent years, so I probably wouldn't have seen any of the magazines. I attend Kuoh Academy. What about you?"
Ino blushed lightly at his compliment, and a broad smile grew on her face. " Thank you! :) You'll have to tell me about where you've all been. And I'm in an online private school. Dad says if I want to keep being a model, I must keep up with my schooling." Ino stopped typing when she heard their manager start calling them to get changed. She sighed before going back to her message. " I got to go now. They're calling us for the next shoot. Maybe we can talk again after I'm done?"
" Yeah, no worries. I'm going to be handling some business on my end, too, so I'll talk to you later. Take care! :)"
" You too!" Ino smiled and put her phone away to charge. As she went to the dressing rooms, she got an idea and smirked. She would need to get copies of all their shoots for the day. She was sure he would appreciate some samples of her work.
[Tengoku Tanoshimi]
Naruto smiled at his phone before putting it in his pocket. He was at the back of the shop in the manager's office looking over paperwork. The current manager, Haruka, handled most of this stuff, but she called out today, which was OK with him. He didn't need an explanation for why she was required elsewhere; he just wished her well and told her he would see her next time.
Stretching his arms above his head, he stood back up and walked out of the office to check on the rest of the crew. He could see two of his bakers already working on a new batch of dough, and the third one should be handling the register upfront. Walking past them, he came to the front to check what needed to be stocked on the shelves when the door's bell rang as a small group of familiar faces came in.
"Wow, it smells delicious in here. You should have told us about this place sooner." The redhead, Rias if he was correct, said. Naruto smiled and waved at Akeno, who smiled and walked to the counter while her clubmates took a look at everything. He could see Koneko already drooling as she looked at all the different treats they had in stock.
"Glad to see you could make it, Akeno."
"Same, and I hope you don't mind that I brought my club along. After I mentioned I was coming here, Koneko was the first to demand to come along practically. I don't know if I should feel jealous about her craving your treats this much compared to mine." Akeno smirked while Naruto just chuckled with a shrug.
"What can I say? Mom's talents rubbed off on me." That was when Rias stepped forward with a smile, and he nodded to her. "Hey, you must be Rias Gremory. I've heard about you from Akeno and all the different ridiculous rumors our classmates like to spout out." He said with a roll of his eyes while she smirked and chuckled. It humored her to hear all the rumors the kids had about her.
"And I have heard quite a bit about you from Akeno. I'm happy that you two managed to reconnect." She sighed and held a hand to her cheek. "It's like one of my romance mangas." She mumbled, but Naruto heard her well. He raised a brow with a slowly growing smirk.
"What was that?"
"N-nothing! It was nothing." She said quickly while Akeno held a hand over her mouth to giggle, and Naruto chuckled. It seems that she was a secret otaku.
"Okay, then. Let me know what I can do for you guys. Oh, and here you go, Akeno." He grabbed a purple apron with white lilies. She took it with a smile and quickly put it on. "You can go in the back and meet the others. They'll guide you in whatever it is they are currently making. Help out however you can."
She nodded and walked to the back before greeting the two working. They quickly started making the Danishes and other bread dishes for the day. Naruto began talking with Rias and Yuuto about the school. They discussed how he was finding the school, and he replied quickly enough. While different from the schools he attended before in a different part of Japan and the few he attended in the UK, he had to say he was enjoying his time here.
Then, the discussion about clubs came up.
"So, Naruto-senpai, have you decided on any club to join?" Yuuto asked while he and Koneko sat at a table snacking on some of the chocolates and other sweets they ordered. "I know you said you don't have much time after school, and seeing this place, it makes sense, but I'm sure you don't work here all the time, right?"
Rias was snacking on some samples at the counter while also going through the bakery's catalog to see what they did. She may have to see if the school could use this place to cater to its special events. She stopped flipping through the pages to glance at Naruto, who was handling another customer, before giving them his attention.
"Yeah, you're right. I don't need to be here all the time, but I want to come in to help them whenever I can. As for clubs, I haven't honestly given it much thought. Though, it seems the student council president is interested in me joining them." He said off-handly. Unknown to him, Akeno heard this, and her hands clenched at the tray she held. Dents appeared in it, and she calmed down before transferring the cookies she was baking to another one.
Rias narrowed her eyes when hearing this before standing tall. She didn't think Sona would be interested in him, given how close he was to Akeno. It was common knowledge by now that the two were close.
"Why not join our club?" She said with a smile. "You don't seem like the stuffy type who is all about regulations. So, why not think about joining the Occult Research Club!" she ended dramatically with her arms crossed and head held high. Naruto raised a brow and looked between her, Kiba, and Koneko. Kiba chuckled with a shrug while Koneko was busy stuffing her face with the treats. Akeno came behind him with the fresh cookies and began putting them in their displays.
"Occult Research, huh? So, you guys talk about ghosts and whatnot." He asked, feigning his ignorance of the supernatural world. While interesting, it was too on the nose for him.
"Yes, but we also dive deeper into other concepts. Yokai, Angels, and Devils are the major ones we've been doing recently." She smirked, and he could tell she was trying to get a read on him and his reaction to this information. He hummed, trying to show minor interest when Akeno spoke up.
"Trust me, Naruto-kun. You'll like how we operate." The busty young woman smirked and pushed her chest into his arm while wrapping him into a hug. He blushed and stared into her eyes. "Plus, we can spend a lot more time together~."
"I-I'll think about it!" He will deny with his entire being that his voice cracked. It didn't stop the fact those there were laughing at his expense. Even his employees!
No respect, man.
[Naruto's House Evening]
"So, this is where you live." Naruto and Akeno were standing outside Naruto's home while in Kuoh. She was taking a complete look appreciatively at the place. "It's nice; how did you afford it alone, though?"
"Well, I guess it's alright to tell you." He walked her to the door and let her inside. She looked around the place with an awed expression. It was excellent, and sparkles in her eyes as she looked at the kitchen area.
"Tell me what?" She asked as she placed her bag next to the couch and sat down. Naruto smiled and sat next to her before opening a drawer that was part of his coffee table. He pulled out a disk and showed it to her. She read the title that was marked on it.
" Kazesei (Wind Sage): The Arrival. What's this?" she tilted her head with the question. Naruto smiled at her and pulled a disk player with headphones from the same drawer.
"It's how I could afford the bakery and what helped fund this place. I had gotten into music as a way to cope. It was a good distraction from what happened." He sighed, and she could see sadness in his eyes. "About two years after that incident at our old home, we had a… home invasion at our new place." She looked at him with wide eyes. This wouldn't be the whole truth of what happened that night, but it would be close enough for her to know. His eyes were unfocused and staring at nothing.
"They came during the middle of the night. We returned from a family picnic early in the day since it was a weekend. We watched a movie and got settled for the night."
Naruto could practically see how the night happened as he retold it.
"There were five of them. They had scoped out the place beforehand. They got past the security system Dad had in place."
Magical Runes. A powerful type of magic that many didn't know how to master. His dad was an expert after learning from his mother, a bountied master at them. Even the best security has its weak spots.
"I remember waking up after hearing a loud bang. Mom ran into the room and grabbed me out of my bed. I wanted to know what was happening, but she said nothing. Just that we had to leave immediately."
The bang was from his father's, Minato, trap that activated when the invaders broke through the runes. He made it so that if anyone deactivated them without using the magic key, then they would explode. The invaders were mildly injured, but it was enough for them to get moving.
"Dad was injured. He had taken down one of the invaders when he was shot."
A silver bullet enhanced by alchemy and magic. It burned his father's side from where it was shot into. But he was stronger than most and managed to decapitate one of the invaders with his blade.
"We took an emergency exit built into the home and got a good distance on them running away."
A transportation circle. Once Minato had caught up to them, worrying both of them as they saw his wound, he activated the circle, and they were transported to one of the few safehouses he owned in the area. They gathered supplies and began to run as both Minato and Kushina knew who was after them. Naruto would not find out until after their death.
"I don't know how or why, but they found and chased us down. I was scared for my life as they kept coming. Mom had managed to get her phone out to contact my aunt. She didn't live that far from where we were and would meet with us." His eyes darkened, and Akeno could see tears forming in the corner of his eyes.
"But it was too late. They had caught up to us. My aunt did find us and managed to grab me. Dad stood against them as he fought them off the best he could."
He could hear the sounds of screams as he remembered watching his father become a monster like no other. He was moving fast and tore them apart quickly. He took several shots from the special silver bullets and was slowing down. However, he wasn't giving up, as Naruto remembered seeing him summon his magic to destroy them. Then, one of them showed his true form, and Minato was in danger.
"As my aunt took me from my mother, she went to help. Despite how she looked, my mom was a competent combatant who was an expert at using a sword and was skilled at hand-to-hand combat."
Kushina had blitzed the transformed man, who was a werewolf. He remembered being afraid for his parents as the giant wolf man easily fought both his parents. Kushina had summoned her sword, clashing it against the monster's claws.
"They fought them off well, but…" he gritted his teeth, and Akeno held his hand in hers. She had tears in the corners of her eyes as well. "...one of them got dad."
Naruto watched as one of the other men, a devil, came from the side and stabbed his father with his blade. A black katana with a dark crimson edge. He knew something was wrong as Minato looked to grow weaker as the blade was in him. The wounds that were healing slowly from all the silver bullets in him began to stop healing.
"My mother screamed louder than I have ever heard. I had screamed too but couldn't do anything as my aunt kept running away. My mother went to avenge him, but she couldn't."
Kushina had let out a blood-curdling scream, and crimson and turquoise flames spread around her. Naruto saw her transform and fight back against the attackers. His aunt finally got far enough to teleport away, but he didn't want to leave.
"KA-SAN! TOU-SAN! NOOOOOOOOOOO!"
"I know she died that day. Even if I didn't see it, she never returned. I cried every night after that." He closed his eyes with the tears he was trying to hold back falling now. Akeno, who was crying beside him, placed her hands on his cheeks and wiped them away. Naruto smiled at her and put his hands on hers.
"My godmother, who took over as my guardian for the remainder of my life, did a lot to help me move on. I was in a shell and refused to speak to anyone. She was the one who introduced me to making music. She gifted me a violin on my birthday and told me to try it. I didn't think much about it but began using it to distract myself. I was terrible at it." he chuckled, which made her smile.
"But I kept playing with it. I began to learn to hear the notes I was playing, and my Godmother got me a teacher to learn to read musical notes properly. As I kept practicing, the quicker I got better. It came to the point that I broke down one day when I was practicing on a piano she had. She was there to comfort me. Soon, my grandfather on my dad's side found me and began to comfort me. He was broken at the loss of his son since it reminded him of his wife he lost long ago."
"They both helped me get through my depression, and I slowly started to get better and better at playing instruments. Once I was old enough and knew what I was doing, I created this little playlist of songs. They found someone to release it for me, and ever since then, that person has been my manager when it came to music."
Naruto grabbed the headphones and placed them over Akeno's head. He then put the disk in and let her listen. She removed her hands from his face and let the music play in her ears.
(play "Cold" - Jorge Méndez (Sad Piano & Violin Instrumental))
As the first song started, Akeno couldn't help but let more tears fall from her eyes. The emotions put into both instruments were overwhelming her. She felt a hand wipe the tears away and smiled up at Naruto. As the song continued to play, she grabbed Naruto and hugged him, her head on his chest. Naruto hugged back immediately and ran his hand down her back.
To think that he had gone through a similar pain that she had. Now she knew he needed to be with them. To be with her! It would be good for him to be with people he could count on. He would always have his old family but needed a new one closer to him. One that can understand his pain. She would be damned if she let anything happen to him after all he's been through.
She swore never to lose him again.
AND SCENE! That's my wrap! I hope you enjoyed this, as it was unexpected to write. Sometimes, inspiration flows, and it just takes over. I will say that Naruto being into music will be a side thing. I won't focus on that too much, or his baking, only as casual slice-of-life stuff. It was just made to get him money and as a hobby.
Now, there are enough hints to tell you what Naruto is. I don't want to say it since it is supposed to be a hidden fact about him for everyone else. Some of you have guessed correctly, but only partially.
Also, the stuff with the pressure and the DRAGON is my own thing. Think of it like how, in anime, fighters have strong auras.
That should be everything. Take care, everyone, and be on the lookout for more updates. Also, please look at my profile and vote on the current poll.
