Chapter 7: Sailing Across The Ocean
At the docks of Mount Aris, Roby has just finished welding the last adjustment on the metal of the speedboat before he stops.
"Is it all set, Roby?" Chen asked curiously as he, Celestia, Luna, Cadance, Shining Armor, Kon, Chikara, Juto, and the rest of the Mane Sixteen approached Roby.
"Don't worry, Chen. It's ready to set sail." Roby said as he showed the speedboat for the others to get to the Continent of Mu.
The boat was a little bigger than any fishing boat, but was still smaller than a sailing ship with three large skis and a motor engine in the back.
"The boat will be big enough for the others to get to the continent by nightfall." Roby explained to the group.
"I hope it will be enough, Roby." Cadance said with hope and concern in her voice. "Because if Talos has all of the crystals, he'll be invincible."
"All we can do right is hope Chase and his family will pull this off, honey." Shining Armor said to Cadance assuringly.
"But making it through the ocean will be impossible. I just spoke with Queen Novo that one of her soldiers were in a tussel with a group of Lurker Sharks and one of them took a bite out of their boat." Twilight said as she noticed Queen Novo speaking with her soldiers near a boat that had a huge bite mark on it.
"If Chase and his family get into a fight with one of those beasts, then they will not be able to make it in time." Rarity said with concern.
"Now don't worry, I'm sure that they will make it back in time to begin this journey." Applejack said with an assuring smile.
"Assuming that they've already found the Green Eco crystal." Rainbow said to her friends with concern when they heard hoofsteps approaching them and they turned to see the Elite Ninja approaching them.
"Chase, you made it!" Clay said as Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio smiled at. Twilight approached Chase as she hugged her husband, making him return the favor and they shared a loving kiss. "Roby has just finished the boat so it will get you guys to the Continent of Mu in no time."
"Well, that's good to hear." Chase said as Darius and Nyx came up to their father, hugging him as he returned the favor. "But we gotta hurry, Talos already knows what's going on."
"His Dark Eco has already begun to effect the Everfree Forest. If we don't hurry up and find the crystals soon, he's gonna come after us." Jade added with concern as the others were shocked by this.
That's when purple electricity surged through Chase again, making him grunt in pain as he put a hoof to his chest and knelt down a bit.
"Chase, what's wrong?" Twilight asked with concern for her husband.
"Daddy?" Darius asked his father worriedly as Chase panted heavily.
"I think this curse on me is almost starting to affect me." Chase said as he stood up.
"Then you must hurry before it takes control over you." Kon said to him. "There is not much time left."
Chase and his team nodded in reply.
"We won't fail you, Kon." Chase said as he and his family went up to the speedboat as the alicorn stallion gave Roby the Green Eco crystal.
Roby places the Green Eco crystal in the engine as it sparked up with a hum before it finally powered up.
"Looks like you guys are all set and ready to go." Roby said with a smile as the Mane Sixteen cheered while the rulers smiled at Roby's work.
"Then let's get ready to kick some demon tails." Antonio said with a determined look as he, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Chase jumped onto the boat.
"Right. We'll be right beside you guys every step of the way." Rainbow said with a confident smirk.
"Sorry, Rainbow. This job is for us to handle." Chase said with a firm look, surprising the six girls.
"What?! You guys need us!" Rainbow said with a glare.
"Come on, we wanna join you guys too!" Pinkie added with a grin. "It will be just like a road trip!"
"You don't get it, Pinkie! This isn't a game, it's the real deal." Chase said sternly. "If Talos catches you six with us, he will infect you with his Dark Eco."
Jade presses a few buttons on the control panel of the boat as the engine starts up.
"Alright, guys. It's time to go." Jade said with a smile.
"Go with care, Chase." Celestia said to Chase. "And return safely."
Chase bowed his head in reply before they turned to the south direction part of the ocean and the boat moved forward at full speed with the Elite Ninja riding it.
As they watched the five leave, Twilight gave a determined look as Shining Armor went up to his sister with a smirk.
"I know that look anywhere." Shining Armor said as Twilight turned to her older brother. "What are you thinking about, Twily?"
"Twilight, you know that this is dangerous." Cadance said with concern as she joined Shining Armor before she smiled. "But you know that he needs you and your friends, right?"
"Yeah. What do you girls say?" Twilight asked Rarity, Rainbow, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Applejack. "You up for this?"
"Are you kidding? I was born ready for something dangerous like this." Rainbow Dash said with a confident boost.
"Oh, I don't know." Fluttershy said with concern. "I've never faced a Demodragon before. And I don't wanna be infected by Talos' Dark Eco."
"Don't worry, honey." Sokka said as he wrapped a leg around Fluttershy with a smile as his wife smiled back at him. "We'll be joining you and the others."
"And this time, Chase won't be doing this alone with his family." Clay added as he and Applejack smiled with each other.
Kon saw their determined looks ready to face this threat more than ever and smiled.
"Then you must be wise to follow Chase all the way." Kon said as the others turned to him. "We have no idea how long he will be infected."
Twilight then turns to Darius and Nyx as they look at their mother with concern for their father as well.
"You guys know that this will be dangerous too, right?" Twilight asked, knowing that her children nodded in reply as she sighed. "Then stay close to us at all times."
"Be careful out there with them. All of you." Luna said as the group turned to her. "There will be many more challenges for you all to deal with, and this time it's not anything related to the Quinkan."
"We promise not to let you all down." Twilight said as she and the others bowed to the rulers.
With the girls, Spike, Darius, Nyx, Clay, and Sokka joining Twilight, the alicorn mare lights up her horn before they teleported to join the Elite Ninja.
(Scene changes)
At the White Lotus clan training ground, Pakku, Bumi, and Iroh were supervising the clan as they were training hard for the incoming threat.
With his focus on the soldiers, Pakku thought about what Chase and his family were getting themselves into.
"Thinking about what the Elite Ninja are about to do?" Iroh asked Pakku with a knowing look.
"If Chase can pull this off, then I know he will." Bumi added with a grin, but Pakku wouldn't hear them.
"It's not just Chase that I'm worried about. Talos is more dangerous than he can possibly imagine." Pakku said with a firm yet concerned look. "If he doesn't get himself cured, then he will be under Talos' control."
"He will succeed in this, Pakku." Iroh said assuringly to Pakku while watching the ninjas training hard. "They all will."
Pakku turned to Iroh and nodded as the three continued to observe their clan.
All of a sudden, a large flaming boulder lands on the dojo house, making the whole clan turn to it in surprise. Surprised by this, Pakku turned to see more flaming boulders coming in at the clan.
"Oh no!" Pakku said in shock as he and the clan were about to retreat when the boulders landed in front of them, knocking them to the ground as they grunted in pain.
The whole training ground was sent into a blaze of flames as the White Lotus clan ponies laid on the ground unconscious.
As Pakku laid on the ground unconscious with Bumi and Iroh, a whole group of Gorilla Lurkers approached them with growls.
"Orders from King Talos, bring them to his lair. The rest of the White Lotus clan, leave them be. They are of no use to us." One of the Gorilla Lurker's instructed as they dragged the three leaders with them.
"Then we take the Royal Sisters and then Crystal Empire rulers." A second Gorilla soldier added as they walked away from the training ground with the White Lotus clan leaders.
(Scene changes)
Back with Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio, they were still sailing across the ocean to the Continent of Mu.
As they continued to sail across, Jade was looking through a pair of binoculars for any sign of the continent as well as keeping an eye out for Lurker Sharks.
"Do you see anything, Jade?" Trini asked her cousin with concern.
"Nothing. But if there are Lurker Sharks out here somewhere, they'll be sure to catch us." Jade replied back with concern while putting her binoculars away. "We should be approaching the continent soon enough."
"So what do we do now with the Green Eco crystal in our possession?" Antonio asked curiously while looking ahead. "I know that we still have three more to go, how do we find the other ones?"
"Kon said that Gol scattered them across the world, which means he sent the Blue Eco crystal somewhere in the ocean. The rest might be unknown." Chase answered while keeping operating the control panel.
"As long as we can handle what Talos throws at us, we might be able to pull this one off." Sunray said with a determined look.
"I hope that this is our last destiny to end this for good." Trini said with a firm yet concerned expression as Chase looked at his family and smiled.
"If it is, there are no more family members I'd rather have at my side." Chase said as Jade, Trini, and Antonio smiled at him in reply while Sunray just looked away from him with a glare.
Suddenly, there was a slight groan, making the five perk up in surprise.
"Looks like we got ourselves an uninvited guest on the boat." Jade said as she and her family looked around for any sign of where it came from.
One of the crates that were gifted to the five moved a bit, making Chase turn and walk to it.
Using his magic, he opens the crate to see Twilight, Pinkie, Rainbow, Clay, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Spike, Sokka, Nyx, and Darius climbing out of it with groans of uncomfortableness.
"Oh, that was uncomfortable." Rarity said while stretching a bit with the others.
"Twilight? Guys?!" Chase said in surprise as his family looked at their friends with stunned looks.
"Uh, hi, honey." Twilight greeted her husband with a sheepish smile.
"Surprised?" Pinkie asked the Elite Ninja nervously with a grin.
"What the?! How did you all get on board?!" Sunray asked in surprise. "We just saw you on the docks of Mount Aris!"
"What are you guys doing?!" Jade asked in surprise as Rainbow glared at her.
"What are we doing? Getting a back ache!" Rainbow snapped while readjusting her back and popped it into position. "Did you guys have to crash through every wave?!"
"No! We mean what are you guys doing here?" Chase said firmly. "You should've waited back at home!"
"We didn't have another choice, Chase." Applejack said. "You all need us more than ever. We can't just let you do this alone with your family."
"We've missed you so much, Chase. We need you as well." Fluttershy added as Chase turned to her and turns to Twilight.
"Twilight, while I do appreciate you guys coming, did you have to bring the kids with you?" Chase asked while giving Twilight a firm look as Darius and Nyx stood with their mother.
"Daddy, we missed you so much." Nyx said as Darius nodded in agreement with his sister. "We can't lose you more than ever."
"And there's no point in going back now. You need us." Darius added with a glare.
Chase looked at his children and Twilight for a moment before he sighed.
"Alright, then let's all do it together." Chase said with a determined smile as the others cheered for them.
In the deepest part of the ocean, there was a shadowy figure rushing by while the boat above the water continued to move forward.
As the group continued to ride on the speedboat, Chase and Twilight looked in the direction to the Continent of Mu. There was a few seconds of silence before Chase turned to his wife.
"You okay, honey?" Chase asked Twilight as she nodded while resting her head on her husband's neck as he held her with a single foreleg.
"I'm worried about you, Chase." Twilight said as a few tears left her eyes and turned to see Nyx and Darius playing with each other while the others were keeping a lookout. "I can't lose you again and leave me to take care of our kids."
Chase sighed as he nuzzled her mane gently, making her smile at that.
"Don't worry, we'll find a way to bring the crystals back so I can get back to normal." Chase said with a smile. "Then we'll defeat this threat soon enough."
Twilight smiled back at her husband when there was a loud splash, making the group jump at that.
"What was that?" Sunray asked in surprise as he and the others looked around.
"I don't know, but I don't like it." Sokka said with a grave tone when there was another splash sound.
"Guys, something tells me that we're not alone out here." Spike said with concern.
Suddenly, a large tail fin whacks the speedboat aside as the Mane Sixteen screams in fright just as the tail whacks it again just as Spike falls into the water.
"SPIKE!" The others yelled out in concern as Jade stops the boat and they all looked for any sign of the baby dragon.
Underwater, Spike gurgled as he looked around with a worried look. He then saw something emerging from the blue.
It was a large Lurker Shark with a yellow body, orange patterns, appendages along the jaw line, and large yellow eyes.
The giant monster gaped its mouth open as Spike saw a clear terrifying view of its teeth as his eyes widened in fear.
Then Spike shot out of the water with a terrifying scream as the others turned to him and he clamps onto Nyx while shaking like crazy.
"What's the matter, Spike?" Nyx asked with concern.
"S-Shark!" Spike shouted with fear in his voice as the Lurker Shark's fin whacks the side of the boat as it was enough to send Nyx flying through the air while screaming loudly and hits the water.
"Nyx!" Chase and Twilight shouted in unison with fear.
Nyx then resurfaces as she coughs a bit when she was suddenly lifted out of the water and she realizes that she was on top of a sea monster. Nyx saw the Lurker Shark's head as it growled while it bared its teeth.
"LURKER SHARK!" Nyx yelled out in fear and horror.
Then the Lurker Shark thrashed its head violently trying to snatch her, but Nyx was tossed in the air from the move as she screamed loudly and hit the water. She immediately resurfaces before swimming back to the boat as Chase quickly pulled his daughter out of the water and onto the boat.
"Jade, hurry! Power up the boat!" Twilight shouted as Jade presses the button to activate the engine as it turns on.
Then she quickly pulled a level forward as the speedboat zooms faster as the Lurker Shark follows it.
"Guys, we won't be able to make it to the continent in time! We're shark bait!" Applejack said in concern and fear.
"Hurry, Jade! The shark is gaining on us!" Sunray said to his sister in concern as the Lurker Shark was gaining on them.
"I am, but this is as fast as she can go!" Jade replied back while operating the control panel.
The shark continued to chase after the group before diving down in the water and swam at full speed in an attempt to take a huge bite out of the boat.
Suddenly, the shark erupted from beneath the boat and took a bite out of the legs as the Mane Sixteen screamed loudly while heading towards an unknown sandy beach. They soon landed face first onto dry land with the Green Eco crystal landing next to Chase as the speedboat crashed on the other side.
Groaning painfully, the group shook themselves and spat out some sand from their mouths as Chase turned to see the Lurker Shark disappearing underwater again.
"That was close." Clay said with a pant.
"Yeah, too close." Spike added while shaking up a bit as Chase turned to the wreck of the speedboat and sighed.
"Well, looks like the boat's sailing days are over." Chase said.
"At least we're safe from that shark." Pinkie said with a smile as they turned to her.
"And so is the Green Eco crystal." Twilight said as she picked the crystal up with her magic.
"Uh, guys? Where are we?" Darius said, gaining their attention as they saw the beach.
But what caught sight of it was that there were bones everywhere and dragon skeletons as well as mist flowing in the air.
"This doesn't look like the Continent of Mu." Rarity said with a shocked look.
"I guess our problem just got a whole lot bigger." Chase said as Twilight nodded in agreement.
Jade taps on her medallion as the magic projection screen appears as they all notice the island image they were currently standing on.
"Where are we, Aunt Jade?" Nyx asked with a scared look.
"I... I think we're on an island a few borders away from the Continent of Mu." Jade said as she taps on her medallion again and the projection screen fades into magical. "Looks like this is named Misty Island."
"Ooh, Misty Island!" Pinkie said with a giggle as she saw the fog floating in the air around them. "Get it? Misty!"
"Not now, Pinkie." Chase said with an annoyed look before looking back at the area around him and the others.
They continued to look at the bones as the screen showed the island that a few skeletons lying around in some areas with the sound of a crow cawing in the background.

Here's the seventh chapter of this story. I've added a few new twists and an unkown island named Misty Island as well. Sorry I ran a little late, but I was busy taking care of my home, job, and my family. I did my best on this one and it's the least I can. Hope you like this one. I'll be back in time to begin chapter eight.
