"So, what do you say?"inquired Mew, wondering if this young man who was no more than a loser would agree to his suggestion.
"You can't just expect me to agree to something like this when I don't know one thing about it."argued Jaune, who had no idea what a Pokemon or a Pokemon trainer was.
So how in the name of the Brothers was he supposed to just agree to something without so much as looking into it! He would have to be a complete idiot for that to happen! Mew, on the other hand, appeared amused by this instead of annoyed like one would expect. It was as if he was expecting this kind of answer from the young man.
"Hmm... WellI guess an explanation is in order. Now allow me to explain Pokemon. Pokemon are these amazing creatures that can harness the powers of nature. Think of an animal that can shoot fire, blast out water, control vegetation, shoot out electricity, etc. Where I come from, there are over a thousand of these amazing creatures all over the world, with new ones being discovered every day. Anyway, a Pokemon trainer is a human who captures and trains Pokemon for the purpose of battle."said Mew, causing the natural blonde to have a shock look on his face.
"Wouldn't something like that normally be illegal!"pointed out Jaune, which made the new species pokémon laugh..
This laughter continued for one or two minutes before he stopped..
"The short answer is no. We Pokemon are totally cool with it. I should know, I happen to be a proud Pokemon myself."said Mew all nonchalantly.
"Why would you be cool with being forced to fight each other?"Jaune couldn't help but inquire.
"That's the thing. We're not forced to fight each other. We totally do it out of our own accord. You see, young man, Pokemon society is ruled by who is strongest, and the only way to get stronger is through battle! A very long time ago, in a land called Hisui, Pokemon discovered that by joining up with a human, the process of getting stronger happens at a faster rate. Most of the strongest pokémon in the pokémon world are owned by humans and have no problem finding each other if it means gaining more strength. So, at the end of the day, it is the Pokemon who decides everything. So it is not on coming for us to jump in front of a human to see if they are worthy of capturing and training us. We do it all the time."said Mew, figuring that he answered any question the young man might ask next.
"I guess different worlds operate by different rules..."said Jaune, who still had a million questions in his head, but it seems like his most important questions have been answered.
"So after a long time pondering where to send you, I decided to send you to a place called Unova. It's an amazing place filled with 150 known species of pokémon, with new ones being discovered. It's a thriving region filled with all kinds of people in Pokemon, although recently, I've heard there is some group trying to kick up trouble. But I'm not too worried about them. It wouldn't be the first time a group of humans with goals beyond their means would cause trouble."said Mew all nonchalantly, making the young man wonder who this group is.
"So you going to send me to the Pokemon world for a few hours, and then you're going to bring me back? How does any of that work?"Jaune couldn't help but inquire.
"That's actually an excellent question, so allow me to answer. Think of it like a video game. Only this video game has real-life consequences, and you'll have to deal with real-life damage should you get hurt. Basically, you make it to a certain point of Unova, and I'll treat it like a save file, so to speak. Then, when you come back, all the money and experience you acquired during your journey will be transformed into Lien and combat experience. At a certain time of the day, I'll send you back to the pokémon World from where you last left off, and everyone will think that nothing is out of the ordinary. Okay, are there any more questions you need to ask?"inquired the new species Pokemon, wondering if he had answered all the young man's questions.
"I don't have a choice in this, do I?"inquired the young man, figuring that he didn't really have a choice since he was pretty much... held by psychic energy at the moment.
"No... It's basically a sweet deal that will make sure you keep your mouth shut! I can't have you blabbing to Arceus or anyone else, but especially Arceus. He'll be really mad, and he'll punish both of us! Trust me when I say you do not want to get on his bad side. Anyway, do you want to go to the Pokemon world for several hours each day every day or not? Come on, I'm really busy."said Mew before crossing his arms over his chest to indicate that he was being annoyed at this point.
"Fine..."said Jaune."It's not like you'll give me the chance to say no. Plus, after everything I've been through, I could use a win."said Jaune, figuring he should agree to that since after everything he has been through, he needed something to go right for him for once.
"Great... Now, I want to send you to Professor Juniper, and she'll give you your starter Pokemon."said Mew, causing the natural blonde to look at him with a confused look once again.
"Starter Pokemon?"Jaune couldn't help but inquire.
"The Pokemon you start your journey off with. In Unova, it's either a Pokemon known as Tepig, a Pokemon known as Oshawott, or a Pokemon known as Snivy. The choice in which pokémon you get is yours, so I suggest you think carefully before you make a choice, since the starter Pokemon you choose at the beginning of your journey will decide everything from then on out."said Mew, warning the young man that he had a crucial choice to make, so he better not take it lightly.
Jaune merely nodded his head while gulping down a large lump down his throat. He had to make sure he didn't screw this up.
"Okay, now to send you to the Pokemon world, specifically Unova! I hope you choose a Pokemon that fits you the best, Jaune Arc! And remember, I will always be watching you from afar. When it's time for you to come back, I'll bring you back to this alley, and when it's time for you to go back, you will meet me back In this very alley, so I suggest you ingrain this location into your memory."said Mew before his eyes began glowing.
Jaune was about to ask another question before he suddenly found his whole body surrounded by light, causing him to quickly shield his eyes from the brightness of the lights surrounding his whole body!
A couple of moments later passed, and Jaune finally felt the light that surrounded his body dissipate. This gave him the chance to open his eyes, what he did a few seconds later. Once he opened his eyes, he saw that he was no longer in the Kingdom of Vale.
Instead, he was now in some kind of small town filled with houses you would see in the countryside. He quickly figure it out that he was not on Remnant anymore, mainly because the Moon that was starting to gave way to the sun was whole, instead of the shattered Moon he had known all his life.
"So... this is the Pokemon world. I'm literally the first person in my history of Remnant to go to another world. Wow, I'm not sure what to feel at this moment... But I guess I better find this Professor Juniper lady, and get me my starter Pokemon. I have a feeling Mew won't let me off the hook unless I do what he wants... So I might as well play his game... For now!"said Jaune to himself before he began walking into town to see if he could find Professor Juniper.
As he was making his way through town, he noticed that no one seemed to be giving him strange looks despite the fact he was a stranger to this town. He figured a small town like this would be skeptical of outsiders, but in his case, they acted like they had known him all his life. It was a weird feeling as he wasn't used to seeing such kind people, but he figured that the Pokemon world was different from Remnant, meaning the people must be different as well.
"Look out! I can't stop!"shouted a female voice.
Jaune quickly looks to see a girl about his age running towards him at a fast pace. She had short blonde hair, green eyes, and fair skin. She was wearing what could be described as a outfit consisting mainly of a white shirt under an orange tank top, a tight fitting shin-length white skirt which gives her bottom half a wider shape, and a green beret with a white stripe running along the rim. To complete her outfit, she also wears a white bracelet on her left arm, along with orange tights and yellow flats with white bows. She is also carrying around what looks like a green fringed shoulder bag for storage, which she wears on her right hip and slings over her left shoulder.
Jaune was about to say something before realizing that this girl was running right towards him, and before he could do anything, he was tackled to the ground!
"Ow..."said the girl, as both she and Jaune got up.
"I'm super sorry! I'm really clumsy, ever since I was a little girl. So when I start running, I just can't stop until I hit something."said the girl, quickly apologizing and explaining why she hit Jaune.
"It's okay... Things like this happen."said Jaune before getting up and dusting himself off.
He then extends his hand to the girl, who quickly accepts his gesture and gets up with his help.
"Thank you. My name is Bianca. What's your name?"inquire the girl called Bianca.
"I'm Jaune, Jaune Arc...Its... It's just Jaune."said the natural blonde, who was about to say that lame line his dad taught him before stopping himself last minute, since he didn't want this girl to think he was weird.
After all, he did want to make a good first impression since he was a stranger to this place.
"It's nice to meet you, Jaune. Wait, are you the young man that Professor Juniper told me to find? I remember saying that I should look for a blonde like me, and you're the only blonde that spotted sonfar."said Bianca, who began looking Jaune up and down.
"Umm... Yes, that's me. I'm supposed to get a starter Pokemon from the professor."said Jaune, figuring that this was Mew's work.
He he figured that mischievous Pokemon must have altered everyone's memories to make them believe that he was supposed to get a Pokemon from them without asking too many questions. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing in that moment... He would just have to wait and see.
"Well then, let's go. I'll take you to the Nuvema Town Pokemon lab."said Bianca before grabbing Jaune's arm and began pulling him along.
"Hey, I can walk."said Jaune, but his argument fell on deaf years.
Since Bianca kept pulling him for about 5 minutes before they arrived at the largest building in time. Jaune had a feeling that this was the pokémon lab he was supposed to get his starter Pokemon from. And that is what he spotted another person waiting in front of the building.
It was a young man with very pale skin, black eyes, and jet-black hair with a small tuft that sticks up from the top of his head. He was wearing a blue coat and a white shirt with an orange Y-shaped pattern, a black belt with a silver clasp, black dress pants, and blue shoes. He also sports spectacles with orange rims.
"Hey, Cheren!"said Bianca, identifying the young man as they approached them.
"There you are, Bianca."said Cheren with an annoyed expression before he noticed Jaune.
"I'm assuming this is the young man Professor Juniper told you to find."said Cheren, causing Bianca to nod her head.
"Yup! This is Jaune!"said Bianca before turning to the young man in question so she could introduce them to each other.
"Jaune, this is my childhood friend Cheren. Cheren, this is Jaune. Now don't worry, Jaune. Cheren might look unfriendly, but he's actually a very kind guy."said Bianca with a smile on her face.
"It's nice to meet you."said Jaune, who quickly extended his hand in friendship.
"It's nice to meet you as well."said Cheren before the two young men shook hands.
They firmly shook their hands for a few more seconds before breaking it upon the door to the Pokemon lab opening. Out of the doorway came out a woman who looked like she was fairly young. She is a tall woman with fair skin, green eyes, and poofy honey-colored hair. She wears a pale greenish-blue lab coat and a white blouse, along with a short green skirt and athletic white shoes with red stripes. She also has red rectangular earrings in both of her ears.
"Hi, I'm Professor Juniper. You three must be the new trainers I'm supposed to give pokémon to today. Come on inside, and let's get down to business."said Professor Juniper before she took a step to the side so that everyone could go in through the door she just came out of.
Jaune, Bianca, and Cheren just quietly went into the Pokemon lab, each of them wondering which Pokemon they were going to get for their journey. Jaune was the most nervous out of everyone, which was understandable considering the fact that he was from another world, and he had just arrived minutes ago. Now, he was supposed to choose a Pokemon that would help him out on his journey through this unknown man.
The only question on the young man's mind now was, which Pokemon was he going to choose?
There is only one way to find out!
I decided to go with Unova because it is rarely used.
Jaune Arc's starter Pokemon will be decided through a vote system. That way, everyone will be satisfied with the results.

The starter Pokemon with the most votes will end up being the starter Pokemon for the entire story and will ultimately decide which of the legendary dragon Pokemon Jaune will receive.
