9 Lives, 6 wives, 1 Heart

He already had 6 wives, what did he need her? Kikyo blames Kagome for her lack of respect to the mikohood and this is her punishment. For him, it is because he has not bred anyone of his wives. He refuses to consummate their marriage and she is just fine with that. He doesn't really want any of his wives but slowly she finds herself by his side and under his watchful eyes.

31. Home

Something was happening and Kagome was sick of waiting. People were running, dragons were changing while others were taking off on horses and here she was watching it all from behind a window. She was feeling totally forgotten. Was this what he wanted? Just leave here there, abandon her?

To hell with Kagura and Sesshomaru. Kagome moved and fled from the room and out into the street. None of the dragon people are looking at her, much less worried about her. She was not sure if this was a good or bad thing. Her senses were tingling though and that was never good.

Suddenly she sees Kaugra "Kaugra!" She calls over the loud sound of shots and calls to the horses. Dust and dirt are flying all around.

Kaugra, hearing Kagome turns and narrows her eyes. Kugra takes flight on her feather and drops close to Kagome "Go back inside!"

"What is going on, why didn't you come back!"

"I must go now, wait for Lord Sesshomaru,"

"Go, where are you going?"

Kaugra looks off.

"He is sending you?"

Kagura looks down at her "Go back,"

"I won't!"

Kagura growls, "Foolish woman!"

"Take me with you!"

Kagura pushes her back slightly and then takes off. She is not going to waste any more time on her.

Kagome looks around and sees a horse that hasn't been taken. She runs for it but within all the dust and people she see him. She hopes for a second he doesn't see her, but his senses are strong and his gold eyes land on her and she can tell he isn't happy that she's there. She refuses to stand now.

Forgetting the horse she goes towards him and he marches towards her till they meet in the middle of the street.

"Miko," He growls,

"No! Take me with you!"

"No,"

"Why not! I can help!"

"We have been through this woman,"

"Stop being stupid Sesshomaru, you can teach me a lesson later I want to fight for the West too!"

"I am not taking you, woman, you will return home,"

"I won't!"

"Then dont, but know it does not matter where you go, I will find you,"

"Then im going to fight, either take me or I'll go alone,"

He grabs her "Enough Kagome,"

"No, why cant I go."

"Because I will not take my mate to war with me!" He snaps,

"But the other two can go!"

He grabs her jaw and looks at her. He is beyond angry. On edge. "They aren't carrying my child in them woman,"

She looks at him slightly confused at first and then he can see it in her eyes, "Carrying," Her hands drop to her flat tummy.

He pulls her close and covers her mouth with his in a heavy, fast, angry kiss, and then just when she thinks she's going to forget to breathe he releases her and tears fall from her face.

"Go home Kagome," He lets her go and walks away toward war.

"But my home is with you," She choked up, shaking. He hears her. He turns and looks at her and though she cant hear him he speak.

"I know,"
