Two days later, Mufasa walks over to Runju and ask "can you watch over Simba today? I don't trust Scar around my son anymore."

Runju nods his head "of course, Mufasa."

Mufasa leaves with Zazu to go patrol around the Pride lands.

Runju curious ask "what did Scar try doing?"

Sarabi, Sarafina and the lioness left to go hunt for breakfast.

Simba and Nala were playing tag with their friends.

Scar walked upto Simba and says "your dad has a surprise for you."

Simba curious says "he never told me. He said that he was going to patrol the Pride lands today."

Nala tag Simba and says "your it."

Scar says "your dad wants to meet you at the gorge and give you a surprise."

Nala comments "the gorge?"

Scar comments "come on, Simba. Don't want to keep your father waiting."

Simba cautious follows after Scar.

The cubs watch as Scar and Simba leave heading to the gorge.

Nala comments "you guys play. I'm going to tell my father because something doesn't feel right about Scar taking Simba to the gorge."

She runs off to find her father.

She finds him at sunbathing rocks and says "dad? Something is wrong."

Runju looks at the cubs playing, but no Simba with them and ask "daughter? Where is Simba?"

Nala answers "Scar took him to the gorge and said Mufasa had a surprise for him there."

Runju gasped in fear and panics "go find Sarabi and your mother and tell them to get to the gorge fast!"

He ran off towards the gorge.

(At the gorge)

Simba ask "will I like the surprise?"

Scar answers "Simba, it's to die for."

He leaves to go meet up with his Hyenas.

Simba sat down pouting "little roar."

Runju ran along the gorge until he spotted Simba and ran down to grab him "Simba! Where's Scar?!"

Simba answers "he lefted and told me to pratice my little roar."

Runju takes Simba to a ledge above the ground some and jumps on and hides.

(With Scar)

Scar arrives where the hyenas are at and nods his head to start a stampede.

The hyenas ran the wildebeest down into the gorge.

(With Mufasa and Zazu)

Mufasa was walking around when Zazu pointed out "oh look, sire. The herd of wildebeest are on the move again."

Mufasa comments "odd."

Scar found them and says "Mufasa! Quick, stampede in the gorge! Simba's down there!"

Mufasa ask in fear "Simba?!"

Scar and Mufasa ran to the gorge to save Simba.

They arrive at the gorge to see stampede going on.

Zazu flew over the stampede looking for Simba.

He finds Simba with Runju safe on a ledge.

Runju looks to Simba and says "when they are gone, I want you to leave to a jungle pasted the outlands desert. I have to save your father. Don't come back until your fully grown."

Simba scared ask "what's going to happen to Nala?"

Runju answers "I'll protect her while your gone."

Simba nods his head in understanding.

Runju runs up the rock cliffs.

Zazu flies back to Mufasa and Scar and says "Simba's safe!"

Scar shoves Mufasa over the ledge and wracks Zazu unconscious against a rock wall and waits until the Stampede is over.

Simba ran away to the outlands to get to the jungle.

Runju prays "may the past kings watch over you Simba."

He heard a roar of fear and ran up the cliff to find no Mufasa or Scar.

After the dust settled, Scar found Mufasa laying on the ground.

The hyenas arrived.

Scar commands "go find and kill him."

Runju heard Scar command a kill order to his hyenas and hides "Scar. You murdering piece of crap. You don't deserve to live anymore."

The lioness arrived at the gorge to Mufasa dead.

Scar hides his happiness in front of Sarabi and Sarafina.

Rafiki check his pulse to find it weak and dying.

Runju pulls Rafiki aside and whispers "you must hide Mufasa if he's alive still."

Rafiki nods his head.

Sarabi cries "oh Mufasa. Where's Simba?"

Scar answers "he was killed in the Stampede."

Sarabi and the lioness arrive back at Pride Rock to address the pridemates.

Runju helps carry Mufasa to Rafiki tree to heal him.

Nala cried over her love for Simba.

Once Runju arrived back at Pride Rock to see the lioness moved to the lower den.

Sarafina tries to comfort her daughter the best she could.

Runju walked over to them and says "daughter? You can't tell anyone but there's a chance that Simba survive the hyenas attack."

Sarafina ask "what do you mean?"

Runju whispers "I told Simba to leave to save himself and don't come back until he's fully grown."

Nala cheers up some.

Sarabi cries "I'm pregnant and Mufasa is dead.

Sarafina comfort her best friend.

(With Simba)

Simba made it in the outlands desert and walked on until he passed out from heat and dehydration.

(At Pride Rock)

Shenzi, Banzai and Ed returned to Pride Rock.

Scar ask "did you kill him?"

Shenzi answers "yes and ate the body."

Scar grins "good. Now no one will take my reign as new king of Pride lands."

(In the desert)

Timon and Pumbaa find Simba and save him from vultures and take him to a shade pond to save him.

Pumbaa splash water on Simba to wake him up.

Simba opens his eyes and ask "who are you two?"

Timon answers "I'm Timon and this is Pumbaa. Who are you?"

Simba sighs "I'm Simba and I was looking for a jungle to hide until I was grown up. But I think I caused something bad to happen and I think it was my fault."

Timon comments "you need to learn a new lesson, Hakuna Matata. It means no worries."

Simba sighs "if it will help me cope with my past then I'm all for it."

Timon and Pumbaa lead Simba to their jungle home to live.
