The gunners handling the puckle guns nodded and began tracking the Sting when it was on the port or starboard side of the Queen's Web as the battle continued, firing what seemed to be small cannonballs but that exploded on contact into sticky yet waterproof webbing the gummed up the gun ports, the canons sticking out with some backfiring and even pinned the Scorpion's crew on the top deck. And Peter's ship was much more maneuverable then their opponent's ship and with his quick reflexes and warnings from his Spider Sense Peter was able to avoid the shot fired back at them and soon the Sting was crippled. "Now's our time, let's board her." Ben said and Peter brought the Queen's Web to move along side their opponent starboard side which had the most webs blocking the Sting's guns. "Let's take them. For Our People!" Peter roared out and the crew gave their own roars as grappling hooks and web lines were thrown and fired and started pulling the Scorpion's ship to them. The gap between both ships were far apart that no ordinary person could make the gap yet those of people with Spider powers could. Especially since they could fired their own webs from their wrists that they used to swing across.
Before Peter even landed on the Sting's deck he already drew two of his pistols on his chest and fired web projectiles that pinned or disarm two opponents. And as he landed he dropped the two used pistols and quickly grabbed two more pistols that he aimed either side of him as two of Scorpion's crew members charged at him and fired. Then the Scorpion himself leaped at Peter who rolled away before rising to his feet and drawing his cutless in time to blocked the green mechanical scorpion's tail that stuck out from his foe's back, dripping with poison that hissed as it hit the deck.
"So Mac how you been?" Peter asked parrying another strike from the tail and from one of the daggers that Mac Gargan welded in each hand. While Peter's fellow spiders and crew quickly subdued the Stings crew. The Scorpion growled continuing to try to stick Peter as he dodge, parry and slashed with cutlass. "You know I should thank you for getting ride of Fisk, Spider Freak!" Mac said attempting to knock Peter's feet from under him. "Too long that asshole took every booty we earned leaving us with scraps!"
"Well you're welcome I guess. But taking from innocent people is real low Mac. Not much of a challenge since you hate to easy jobs." Peter said and the Scorpion smirked. "That's true but doing so brought you here didn't it?!" Mac stabbed his tail at Peter again who caught it. "You need to find a new line of work my friend." He said then with his strength swung the Scorpion into the Sting's main mast and he fell, out cold.
Peter looked around at his crew who had subdued The Sting's crew. They raised their weapons high and cheered in victory. Yet Esmeralda rushed over to him and at first he thought she was going to embrace him but instead she began attempting to remove his clothing partially his shirt. "Remove your shirt!" She ordered. "Now!" It was then Peter felt the pain in his side where he held the Scorpion's tail and realized that it must have gotten him. He removed his coat and shirt while Miles brought a barrel for him to sit on. Looking down at the grazed wound that was a sickly green color and Peter began to feel his strength began to fade.
That was until Esmeralda pulled a potion from her bag and poured the red liquid over the wound. It stung and flared with pain for a second before starting to fade. Peter saw the skin began to returned to normal and the wound started healing. "There's going to be a scar of course." Esmeralda said not putting a bandage on the injured area. Peter felt goosebumps on his skin as the gypsy's hands roamed over his chest. "And you need to take it easy for the rest of day. But you should be good."
He nodded and redress before looking at the Sting's crew. "We'll deliver these men to Jamaica to face trail as well return any loot they took from the people. The Scorpion we'll bring with us back to Queens. Tie them up and let's see what cargo they have." The crew nodded and got to work as the sun traveled across the sky. Ben came up to Peter smiling. "All in a days work for…" What he said next seem to be spoken at the same time yet separate words. "Privateers/Knights." Peter looked at his cousin. "Um yeah." He said remembering that he was a Privateer that sailed around protecting the people from Pirates/Bandits, like the HenchLords. Yet knight seemed to be the correct word as well though bringing Order. Though being a Privateer seems to give more Freedom. And an image popped in his head for a quick second.
Showing Captain Steve America Rogers dress in the red, white and blue clothes of a Privateer welding his shield facing off again Tony Stark who wore a knightly version of his Iron Plated Suit. "The spark is approaching." Said a voice in Peter's ear and he turned and for a moment didn't see anyone until he saw a cloaked figure standing on the nearest shore and Peter felt their eyes on him. But then a crew member moved across his line of vision and when he passed the mysterious figure was gone.
Peter wondered if he just wasn't feeling a slight effect from the poison that were making him see things. Even though there had been something familiar about that strange voice and cloaked figure. Then a crew member rushed over to Peter. "Captain we found something you need to see." He followed them down into the Sting's cargo hold where quite a Haul was stashed. Going to the end of the cabin they found a strange box engraved with markings. "Can't get open." Said the crew member that brought Peter. He laying a hand on the box which the symbols started to glow. He removed his hand and the glowing stopped yet he felt as strange connection with whatever might be inside.
"Take aboard the Queen's Web and place in my cabin." He order. "We'll attempt to open it once we return to Briarwood." The men obeyed and carried the box out. Soon they were done and Miles and Gwen managed to sail the Sting to the Jamaica port to drop off the booty stolen from the people who cheered and relieved that they wouldn't have to worry about being attacked by the HenchLord. They offered to make a feast with what little they had but the crew of Queen's Web refused saying that they need don't own them anything since they were preforming their duty.
Of course as they sailed towards Briarwood as night was falling the crew with their captain's permission had their own celebration for their victory. Peter was at the helm and watch the moon rise giving everything a silvery glow apart from the lights of towns on the coastlines and from the lamps aboard their and other ships on the sea. His crew were drinking med yet making sure not to drink too much since being drunk on a ship usually lead to disaster.
