1A Classroom (Day)

"And that's it for today." Aizawa said to his students. "Don't forget that there's only one more week to the finals, so I assume you'll all be studying for them. Remember that the written portion is only half of it, you also have the practical to worry about. Keep training and Plus Ultra." With that, the man left the room.

"Agh, I've barely taken any notes this semester!" Ashido said in a laughing fit.

"Ugh, I've barely taken any notes this semester!" Kaminari said in despair. "With the Sports Festival and the internships, I never had a chance to even open the textbook!"

"True, we haven't had much free time lately." Tokoyami noted. "But that's to be expected of the most rigorous Hero Course in the world."

"Well, we barely knew anything for the midterms, and we did pretty decently on them." Sato said. "But I have a bad feeling that the finals will be a lot worse."

"Makes sense since most of us almost died at the USJ." Dominic said. "Their reasoning is probably 'if they can survive that, we'll need to ramp up the difficulty' or something."

"As someone in the top 10, I'm not worried." Mineta said, a smug look on his face. "I did get 10th in the midterms, after all."

"Wait, you were 10th!?" Ashido shouted. "And here I thought you were one of us! "You've been deceiving us this entire time, you perverted little gremlin!"

"Don't you know that people only like little weirdos like you if they're a bit dumb!?" Kaminari yelled. "Who's going to love you now?"

'So that's why everyone hates me.' Dominic thought to himself. 'Curse my awesome intelligence!'

"Ashido, Kaminari, we still have time to study." Midoriya said, trying to encourage his classmates. "That way we can go to the training camp together."

'Training camp. Now that sounds like my kind of shindig.' Dominic said to himself. The training camp was something that he and his classmates could attend in order to increase the utility of their Quirks. However, only students with a high enough score on the final exams could go. Since he was 3rd in the midterms, he was confident in his performance on the written portion. For the practical however, he had no clue what was coming.

"As class rep, I have high hopes that we'll make UA proud." Iida said. "And as future heroes, we must assist our classmates when they fall behind."

"Though, we wouldn't have to if some of us actually paid attention in class." Todoroki said.

"Why do you have to cut me down like that?" Kaminari said dejectedly.

"Iida is right, though." Yaoyorozu said. "If you'd like, I'm willing to assist you if you need extra tutoring."

"Thanks, Yaomomo!" Kaminari and Ashido cried out, tears of relief pouring from their eyes.

Cafeteria (Day)

Dominic stared into his rice bowl, contemplating the future. 'If my hunch is right, then the Villains corrupted by Petrified Darkness will just get stronger. I have to be stronger than them if I want to survive."

"Xiao-Long, are you okay?" Midoriya asked. "I don't think you've said a word since we left homeroom. Are you feeling sick or something?"

"No, just thinking." the blonde answered. "I've had a lot on my mind lately." Sighing, he leaned back, unknowingly causing another student to walk into him. Turning around, he saw Monoma from Class 1B.

"Sorry, I guess I accidentally walked into your big head." Monoma said.

"I should be mad, but this isn't the first time this has happened." Dominic said, rubbing the back of his head. "My doctor says I might have an inflated ego, whatever that means."

"Hmm." Monoma said, unsure of how to take that statement. "I heard you met the Hero Killer. Just like the Sports Festival, Class 1A isn't happy unless they're the center of attention. You do realize that you're not here because people think you're good heroes, but because you keep getting into trouble. Think about this: If Class 1A keeps getting involved with villains, how long will it be before we're caught in the crossfire? How many innocent people wil-" He was stopped when an enlarged hand struck the back of his head, causing him to faint.

"Sorry about him. I'm pretty sure there's a hole where his heart should be." Kendo said. "Also, don't worry about the practical of the final. I hear it's going to just be fighting robots."

"How do you know this?" Midoriya asked.

"One of my upperclassman friends told me." the girl explained. "I know it's cheating but, I thought it was appropriate after how Monoma treated you."

"No, I don't think it's cheating." Midoriya said, mumbling to himself.

"Look what you've done now." Dominic said to Kendo. "He'll be like this for the rest of the day."

Robots again? He could work with that. His unique set of abilities made him especially good at fighting off mechanical enemies. But something told him he wasn't getting the full picture. Regardless, he at least had an idea of what was coming.

'And on the off chance I'll be fighting a real person instead...' He looked down at his hand, flickering green embers sparking from his fingertips. 'Looks like my weekend plans just went out the window.'

Color Magic

In certain circumstances, the color of a spell used has a great effect on how it works. While Color Magic has to be something a person is born with, there are cases where someone does not realize they can use it until much later in life.
