Stitched Kitsune: Chapter 39
In Oto: With Naruto, Tsunade and the others
Naruto led Tsunade, Sasori, Sakura, Kurenai, Tayuya, Shizune and Tonton down a corridor in Oto; Tsunade was looking around at the Oto ninja walking around and the multiple dark hallways.
"Dark, dim, empty; yep Orochimaru definitely designed this place" Tsunade said and Naruto chuckled.
"He's just a little further; keep on following me" Naruto said; Tonton whined and Shizune held her.
"Don't worry, we'll be fine" Shizune said reassuringly; as they continued walking they reached a pair of large double doors.
"Here we are" Naruto said with a sigh of relief "please don't piss him off until after we get paid"; Tsunade nodded and Naruto opened the doors and everyone walked in. Orochimaru was sitting on his throne with both Kabuto and Kakuzu standing next to him.
Orochimaru looked at Naruto and the approaching group with a smile on his face "Naruto… you made it back; how are you doing" he asked.
"Oh I'm doing wonderful" Naruto said sarcastically "Zabuza died, I got ambushed by your former teammate and I got a seal on my stomach"; Naruto lifted his shirt and revealed the seal on his stomach. Orochimaru looked at it and nodded.
"Ah the 'Five Pronged Seal'" Orochimaru said immediately knowing what it was "I can remove that easily; but I'll need my arms healed first". Orochimaru turned his attention to Tsunade and spoke "how are you Tsunade; it's so nice to see an old friend again" he said.
"Cut the shit; what do you want" Tsunade asked and Orochimaru chuckled.
"As crass as ever" Orochimaru said "simple; you heal my arms and my subordinate Kimimaru"; Orochimaru looked at Tsunade's face and continued. "And if you do I'll let you talk to your Nawaki and Dan again as payment" Orochimaru said and Tsunade went wide eyed.
"You're lying" Tsunade said in disbelief.
"He's not" Kakuzu said "he used the Edo Tensei to bring back someone earlier during the invasion of Konoha; trust me… he can".
Tsunade clenched her fists and nodded "ok fine" she said "it'll take me a few days to do it; so we better get started soon". Shizune walked up and spoke.
"Umm… I was told that two girls named Fu and Karin require medical attention" Shizune said "I'm a medic as well; where can I find them". Kabuto walked up with a smile.
"Please follow me miss" Kabuto said and Shizune felt a chill go down her spine.
"N-Naruto, can you come with me" Shizune asked and Naruto nodded.
"Yeah sure" Naruto said understanding why she didn't want to be alone.
"Can I come too" Sakura asked "I'm curious about medical ninjutsu; I want to see it first hand".
"Sure thing" Shizune said and Sakura nodded; Naruto, Shizune and Sakura all walked off leaving Tsunade and the others with Orochimaru.
"Ok then" Tsunade said walking up to Orochimaru "lets see the damage".
Meanwhile in Konoha; Sarutobi compound: With Konohamaru, Moegi and Udon
Konohamaru, Moegi and Udon were in Hiruzen's old clan office searching for anything of importance; ever since Niku or Naruto or whatever his name was saved them and told Konohamaru 'don't be like your grandpa' he's been curious.
'Was he leaving me a clue to something' Konohamaru thought as he dug through another set of files 'what was he walking about'. "Did you guys find anything" Konohamaru asked and Moegi spoke up.
"Nothing yet" Moegi said as she looked through a scroll "what are we looking for".
"Anything to explain why Naruto attacked the village" Konohamaru said "there has to be a reason; why would he do it".
"Hey look at this" Udon said pulling out a file "this one looks interesting"; Udon walked over and laid out a folder on a table and everyone read the contents.
"What is this" Moegi asked and Udon spoke.
"It's a report" Udon said as he began to read it out loud "July sixteenth: at Nine PM the nine tails container was attacked by the Hyuga clan in his home"; both Konohamaru and Moegi's jaws dropped at this. "According to Hiashi Hyuga the Hyuga were going to take Naruto outside the village and…" Udon stopped as he went wide eyed.
"What… they were gonna what" Konohamaru said and Udon swallowed and continued.
"Flay his skin and castrate him for associating with Hinata; the Heiress of the Hyuga clan" Udon said and both Konohamaru and Moegi paled "upon find out about this an anbu team was dispatched to the scene where there laid multiple dead Hyuga but no nine tails". "Due to the extent of the injuries he could've walked away but would've succumbed to his wounds" Udon continued "there have been no traces of his body nor of the nine tails being free; so he's most likely still alive". "The search will continue until positive body identification" Udon finished.
An air of silence fell over the room as Konohamaru walked back until his back hit the wall 'Kami above' Konohamaru thought; he got back to his feet and looked around 'what else have they done'. Konohamaru began to look around again.
"Keep on looking guys; who knows what else they did to him" Konohamaru said and both Udon and Moegi nodded as they began to search again.
Hyuga compound: With Hiashi
Hiashi Hyuga opened his single remaining eyes as a bright lightbulb overhead shined down light on him.
"You're awake lord Hiashi" Neji said sitting beside Hiashi who turned his head to the side to see him.
"H-how long" Hiashi asked hoarsely and Neji spoke.
"Almost two weeks" Neji said "you woke up a few times but I don't think you'd remember it"; Hiashi looked to his opposite side and saw his what was left of his right arm. His right arm was severed above the elbow and wrapped in bandages; Hiashi felt both anger and sadness as he lost his limb and he began to growl.
"The arm was cauterized well and there was not much bleeding" Neji said speaking up "when it cut off your… uh…"; Neji was about to explain about Haishi's severed genitalia but couldn't find the words so he just skipped it. "You're eye was damaged to a point where it could not be saved along with the optical nerve; so there's no chance of getting a transplant" Neji continued "the doctors said it'll take a few months but you should make a full recovery; and with some training you should be able to fight again".
"What about our casualties" Hiashi asked and Neji clenched his fists.
"Thirty-seven in total" Neji said "twenty five were killed defending the compound against the Kyuubi and another twelve were killed in other parts of the village". "So about a third of the total amount on Hyuga trained for combat were killed" Neji said and Hiashi clenched his single fist.
"Leave me" Hiashi said and Neji nodded as he walked out; as Neji walked down a corridor back to his room he began to think.
'Lord Hiashi is crippled, Hinata is gone and Hanabi is but a child' Neji thought as he walked 'the Hyuga clan has never been this weak before; not to mention…'. Neji's mind drifted to the scroll from his father that he found; when Tsume Inuzuka found Hiashi they also found his cloths and in them were a scroll explaining why he sacrificed his life for the Hyuga clan.
When Neji read the scroll it opened his eyes to both the naivety of his father and the hypocrisy of the Hyuga clan; in his eyes Neji believed his father sacrifice was for nothing.
'What should I do now' Neji thought as he walked away.
As Neji's footsteps faded from Hiashi's ears he looked up at the ceiling and went into deep thought as he remembered what the Kyuubi said.
'Although, I guess the boy's other female could restart the clan; but I doubt that' The Kyuubi's voice echoed in Haishi's mind.
'Other female' Hiashi thought until his single eyed widened as the answer just popped into his mind 'Hinata; she's alive… and with that boy'. Hiashi's heart rate began to beat faster and faster until he calmed down 'I should keep this to myself, until the time is right' he thought.
2 weeks later; Land of Snow: With Naruto and the others
Naruto and the others were walking down a road towards his and Sasori's house; Naruto was carrying Fu on his back and Sasori was carrying Karin on his back due to them being too injured to walk for long periods of time.
"Are you ok Fu" Naruto asked as he carried his injured girlfriend.
"I'm fine; still hurting but I'm fine" Fu said and Shizune spoke up.
"You did tear your abdominal muscles; it'll take some time to heal" Shizune said before looking to Karin "same with you're back; I'll have to help you both with physical therapy".
"Thank you Shizune; we appreciate it" Karin said with a smile "I just can't wait until I see mom and Toka again; I missed them both".
As they walked down the road Sasori's house came into view and in a patch of flowers Toka popped her head up with her red hair sticking out like a beacon; Toka got up and turned around and shouted.
"Mommy, mommy; daddy, sister and Naruto are back" Toka shouted before running towards the group; Mie, Haku, Hinata and Anko all popped their heads out and saw Naruto and the group walking down the road. "Daddy, sister" Toka shouted as she ran up and hugged Sasori around the waist "I missed you so much".
"I missed you too darling" Sasori said with a smile.
"Hey Toka" Karin said looking down to her little sister "I'm a little hurt so I won't be able to play for a while; sorry".
"It's ok sister" Toka said "do you both want to see the puppet I made"; both Karin and Sasori nodded and smiled.
"Lead the way honey" Sasori said as he began to follow his daughter; as he did Mie walked up to Sasori and planted a kiss on his lips "hello my love".
"I'm glad you both are ok" Mie said showing some worry "Karin honey; how's your back".
"Nothing to worry about; Shizune fixed me up pretty good" Karin said "although it's going to be a while before I get back on my feet"; Mie nodded and she along with Karin and Sasori followed Toka into the wood shop.
Haku was running up straight to Naruto with tears in her eyes "Naruto" Haku said as she ran up and wrapped her arms around him and gave him a kiss "I was so worried about you"; Haku began to sob into his jacket and Naruto began to feel bad.
Tsunade seeing this walked up and took Fu off of Naruto's back in order to let him hold Haku 'poor girl' Tsunade thought as she looked on with everyone else.
"Haku… I'm sorry about Zabuza" Naruto said as he held his sobbing girlfriend "I wish I could've saved him".
"It's ok Naruto; I don't blame you" Haku said as she broke the hug and wiped her tears "but there is something we have to do; it's what Zabuza would've wanted as his funeral arrangement".
"Anything for you Haku" Naruto said and she nodded.
Hinata walked up to Naruto and Naruto felt his hearts begin to race "H-hello Naruto; I'm glad you're back" she said "how have you been".
"I-I've been fine Hinata" Naruto said blushing slightly and making Kurenai, Sakura and Tsunade chuckle "oh by the way"; Naruto walked over to Tsunade and spoke. "This is Tsunade; she's my relative" Naruto said shocking both Hinata and Haku "yeah crazy right; we are like very distance cousins or something like that".
"Wait, you're the Tsunade; the legendary Sanin" Hinata asked and Tsunade nodded.
"The one and only" Tsunade said with a smile "I joined Naruto because he's family, but also because he told me what Konoha did to him". Tsunade scowled at this and spoke "if I knew what they did to my grandfathers village I would've went back and killed them all; and believe me… I am more than capable".
Anko hearing this walked up to Kurenai "'sup Kurenai; looks like you had one hell of an adventure" she said and Kurenai sighed.
"You wouldn't believe it" Kurenai said.
"How about we head inside and we can tell you all about it" Naruto said and they nodded; Naruto and his group began to walk to Mie's house in order to tell his tale of what's been going on since they separated.
The next morning; Naruto's house: With Naruto, Haku and Hinata
Naruto, Haku and Hinata were all getting ready to go to that garden to gather ingredients for breakfast while, Tsunade, Shizune, Fu and Sakura all slept in the house.
"Ok so what you girls thinking for breakfast" Naruto asked and Hinata spoke up.
"I'm thinking some omelettes and potatoes would be nice" Hinata said and Haku nodded.
"Sounds good to me" Haku said and Naruto smiled as he reached the door.
"Ok girls" Naruto said as he opened the door "lets go and-" Naruto paused when he looked outside and saw Gato standing there with his 2 body guards with an angry look on his face. "Oh shit" Naruto said.
"Oh shit is right you little bastard" Gato said "you wreck my hotel and casino; I give you a free room and this is the thanks I get" he shouted.
"Hey man it wasn't me" Naruto said "blame the two psycho's who attacked me and my group".
"That doesn't pay for the damage you done you little shit" Gato shouted and Naruto groaned.
"Come in Gato; lets hash this out" Naruto said before looking at Hinata and Haku "Girls, can you go and get the ingredients"; both Haku and Hinata nodded as they walked out and Naruto led Gato to the table. "Ok then; how much are we talking" Naruto said; Naruto had a lot of money saved up from being a mercenary so he thought he could afford it.
"With a destroyed hotel and Casino, the loss of business and a tarnished reputation" Gato said looking at Naruto "I'm looking at sixteen billion Ryo (about one hundred million dollars)".
Naruto's jaw dropped at this and Naruto spoke "What the fuck Gato; I barely have a tenth of that" he shouted "how the hell can I make that much money".
"You better figure it out you little shit" Gato said "you're lucky I came and asked nicely instead of coming here and killing your ass". Naruto grit his teeth in anger but took a deep breath.
"I-I" Naruto said before calming down "I have a proposition"; Gato raised and eyebrow at this and Naruto spoke. "Something came up and I think I can find a way to at least pay half of it off" Naruto said.
"How so" Gato said and Naruto began to think about what Haku told him about.
Flashback; yesterday: With Naruto and Haku
"You want to take Zabuza back to Kiri for burial" Naruto said and Haku nodded.
"Zabuza wanted to be buried in the seven swordsman cemetery" Haku said "Kiri's civil war ended about a month ago and a new government has been installed". "So my plan is we take Zabuza and his sword back to Kiri and ask for a burial" Haku said "Zabuza is a rogue ninja with a half a billion Ryo bounty; if we turn in the sword we will get another billion as well". "So it'll be a double win; Zabuza will get a proper resting place and we will get a little money for our troubles" Haku said "but mostly it's for Zabuza; I want him to be at peace".
Naruto nodded at this and spoke "we can do that" Naruto said "I'll ask Doto if we can get passage there; I'm sure he'd also like to get a trade agreement and a peace treaty so it'll sweeten the pot and make him do it". Haku smiled and hugged Naruto.
"Thank you Naruto; you don't know how much this means to me" Haku said and Naruto hugged her back.
Flashback end
"If we do that then we can get you some of the money" Naruto said and Gato nodded "but along with that I can see if Kiri will allow you to build some businesses there". "A new port; maybe a few hotels" Naruto said and Gato looked even more interested "it'll line your pockets and give Kiri some revenue to help rebuild helping out it's economy".
"Ok that could cover half of the cost; but what about the other half" Gato asked and Naruto looked around to see if the coast was clear.
"I have something planned for the future" Naruto said in a low voice "I can't tell you yet, but Doto and Orochimaru are willing to help me out; and when I do it I can cut you in and you'll have two more places to set up shop". "All I ask… is for a little time" Naruto said and Gato leaned back.
"How much time" Gato said and Naruto spoke.
"Six months" Naruto said and Gato nodded.
"Ok brat; six months" Gato said as he got back up "we worked together for years so I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt". Gato began to walk to the door and stopped before turning around "just remember; I am a powerful man… don't fuck me" he said before exiting the room with his guards.
Naruto sat back and sighed while rubbing his face "six month huh" came a voice and Naruto looked over; Tsunade came around the corner and walked up "what do you have planned in that little blonde head of yours".
Naruto sighed and spoke "remember when your grandfather told me to 'reignite the will of fire'" he said and Tsunade nodded "well I have a plan to do that". Tsunade walked over and sat down in front of Naruto.
"Ok, I'll bite" Tsunade said "what is the plan". Naruto leaned forward and spoke.
"It's a two part plan; and when it succeeds… the world will become a better place" Naruto said and Tsunade raised and eyebrow "here it goes…".
A few days later; Snow country port: With Naruto, Kakuzu, Tsunade, Hinata, Haku and Fubuki
Naruto, Kakuzu, Tsunade, Hinata, Haku and Fubuki were all standing in front of a ship looking at Doto, Roga and Mizure.
"Good luck on your trip Naruto" Doto said and Naruto nodded "Fubuki, make sure that the Mizukage gets that scroll; we could always use more allies in this unstable world".
"Yes Lord Doto" Fubuki said "besides I could always use more time with Naruto; since I've been sidelined for too long"; Fubuki wrapped her arm around Naruto and he blushed making Hinata, Haku and Tsunade chuckle.
"We'll be back in a few weeks" Naruto said to Doto "keep Fu and the others under constant guard; I doubt it but if the Akatsuki or Konoha come here I want to be ready". "Fu and Karin are not able to fight and with only Sasori, Kurenai, Anko and Sakura to defend them I'll feel a lot better if you watch them" he said and Doto nodded.
"I'll keep several ninja posted by" Doto said and Roga stepped forward.
"Me and Mizure will watch them like hawks" Roga said and Naruto nodded.
"Thanks I appreciate it" Naruto said before he and the others all boarded the ship; a few minutes later the ship took off towards Kiri and Naruto was on the top deck with everyone else and Kakuzu spoke.
"You're taking a big gamble brat" Kakuzu said and Naruto nodded "you better hope Kiri won't try and kill us for coming with the body of Zabuza".
"Oh trust me; I'm well aware" Naruto said with a sigh "because if this doesn't work I'm fucked". "And I seriously don't want to piss off Gato… again" Naruto said before Hinata put her hand on his shoulder.
"It will work Naruto" Hinata said with a smile "I can feel it; you just need to stay positive"; Naruto smiled and patted Hinata's hand.
"Thanks Hinata" Naruto said before turning around "lets get settled in; we have a few days until we get to Kiri"; Naruto and the others all went inside as the ships sailed towards an unknown future.
