The dimly lit study was filled with the scent of old parchment and ink. Orion Black sat across from Abraxas Malfoy, both looking flustered as their discussion about the upcoming school year had turned more personal. Their earlier laughter had faded, and their faces were close together.

Suddenly, the door burst open, and Sirius Black, Orion's father, stormed in. His face was a storm of shock and anger.

"What in Merlin's name is going on here?" Sirius's voice was low but fierce.

Orion's heart raced as he tried to find his composure. "Father, I—"

"Don't you 'Father' me!" Sirius interrupted, his voice rising. "I leave you with a trusted friend, and this is what happens?"

Abraxas quickly stood, his face pale. "Mr. Black, I assure you—"

"I'm not interested in your assurances," Sirius cut him off. "I expected you both to behave properly, but clearly that wasn't the case. Do you have no sense of responsibility?"

Orion stepped between his father and Abraxas, trying to steady his voice. "Father, it was a momentary lapse in judgment. It won't happen again."

Sirius's expression softened slightly as he looked at his son. "A lapse in judgment? Orion, you need to understand the impact of your actions. This isn't just about you; it affects both our families."

Orion lowered his gaze, feeling the weight of the situation. "I understand, Father. I'm sorry."

Sirius sighed deeply, his anger shifting to a weary resignation. "We'll discuss this more later. For now, Abraxas, I think it's best if you leave."

Abraxas nodded quickly, casting a regretful look at Orion before leaving the room.

As the door closed behind Abraxas, Sirius turned to Orion with a mix of disappointment and concern. "Orion, I expect better from you. This behavior is unacceptable. You need to be more mindful of the consequences."

Orion nodded, feeling the gravity of his father's words. "I will do better, Father. I promise."

Sirius sighed and placed a hand on Orion's shoulder. "I hope so. For both our sakes."
