On a dark and stormy night, lightening crackled on the huge, creepy castle on the hill. Inside, we see Shaggy and Scooby being chased by yet again, another scary monster. He was huge and green, similar to the Hulk, with red piercing eyes. The guys were running through the castle, down a hallway that could lead to anywhere. The monster was gaining on them, Scooby and Shaggy cranked up their speed to full, zooming across the elongated rug on the stone floor. As they were running so fast, the rug behind them began raising quickly, hitting the monster in his face giving them a temporary advantage. Shaggy flew into the air after tripping on the rug, luckily being caught by Scooby. Still running, with Shaggy on his back and holding onto his collar for dear life, Scooby turned a sharp corner. The monster was gaining on them, swiping them with his long and sharpened claws. Shaggy hopped off Scooby's back so that they could run faster, throwing anything that was in their path at the monster; armour, plates, you name it. They approached a series of doors and ran in and out of each one, the monster looking on with a confused expression on his face.

The monster gave up on Shaggy and Scooby and instead turned around to find Fred, Daphne and Velma. The gang froze in fear, Fred standing protectively in front of the girls. The monster sent them a wicked smile before picking up a shield that had been mounted on the wall, next to other knightly armour. He tossed it over as if it was a frisbee, heading straight for the three of them. The gang managed to jump out the way a split second before it smashed into the window. Fred, Daphne and Velma ran to the right, out of the double doors and onto an outdoor balcony. They didn't realise before it was too late that the balcony was old and crumbly. Daphne and Velma ploughed into it, causing the rocks to crumble and fall to the huge drop before them. Luckily, Fred caught each of them by his hands, holding Daphne by his left arm and Velma with his right. He winced as he tightly gripped each of them, panicking as he spotted the green fiend come up behind him. The monster swiped at Fred, leaving him no choice but to release his grip on Velma to block it. Velma slowly started falling, but managed to grab a hold of Daphne's ankle. Fred used his other hand to hold Daphne tight, especially now that Velma was dangling there too. Suddenly, Scooby dropped from a balcony above, landing directly into the monsters arms and causing them both to fall back inside of the doors. A large staircase was in front of them, Scooby decided to slide down the handrail, leaving the monster to rush down the stairs after him. Losing his balance by the end of the rail, Scooby crashed right into a selection of dummy-Knights in armour, causing the domino effect as they were all in a line. By this point, the monster had reached the end of the stairs, perfectly timed so that all of the armour landed on top of him, leaving him heaped on the ground…

"Like, it's Mr Beeman, the real estate agent!" Shaggy gasped from where he was standing behind Fred. Velma had just unmasked the monster after Scooby had trapped him, the gang all circling around. "Mr Reeman?" Scooby asked in his broken English, furrowing his eyebrows as he looked on.
"Yes, he was printing millions of counterfeit dollars in the basement and wanted to scare everyone off so that he didn't get caught." Velma explained, folding her arms.
"I would've gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for that big dog and you meddling kids!" Mr Beeman yelled before being carried off by the authorities.

"And that's how we solved The Case of the Moat Monster!" Daphne said, taking a sip of her tea on the beige sofa of the talk show she was on.
"Stories like that always give me the heebie-jeebies! No wonder you became a reporter. That monster almost sliced you up like a pepperoni pizza! Then we wouldn't have Coast to Coast with Daphne Blake, your very successful syndicated series om Americana. Going on its second season I might add, I never miss it!" The short haired, dark skinned woman said, gesturing towards Daphne who smiled. "Thanks Chris! You know, the real reason I changed jobs was because the monsters and ghosts always turned out to be bad guys in a mask."
"Got a little boring I imagine?"
"No kidding! In fact, that's why we all decided to go our separate ways. Well, except for Fred and me." Daphne explained, with a subtle hint of adoration in her voice.
"She means Fred Jones, the producer and one-man crew of Daphne's show! Let's get a shot of Fred guys." The camera panned to behind the scenes, revealing the blonde haired, ex-leader of Mystery Inc wearing a smart shirt and blazer, both shades of blue of course. "Is he cute or what!" Chris exclaimed gesturing towards Fred. "So Daphne, what can we expect for the new season?"
"A new series of segments called Haunted America."
"Sort of a Ghost to Ghost with Daphne Blake huh?" Chris joked, making Daphne and the rest of the team to giggle.
"Right. Only this time, I intend to find some real haunted houses for my viewers."
"Gee it's too bad the rest of the old gang won't be along for the ride." As soon as the words left Chris' lips, Daphne's expression saddened.
"Yeah… I really miss them."

Fred noticed how sad Daphne sounded. He also really missed the gang as it had been at least four months since they had unmasked the moat monster. They had almost never been apart until that moment, so four months felt like forever. Fred snapped his fingers and smiled, as he got an idea, like a lightbulb moment in his head.

A/N: So I've really been wanting to do a Scooby Doo on Zombie Island for a long time because its one of my favourites and I love it so much. But again this is one of those annoying movies where they make Fred and Daphne constantly jealous of each other but don't make them end up together! Which is super annoying so of course I'm going to remake that! Obviously this is a different universe to my previous rewrite. I'm thinking of doing a few in order, so if that goes to plan my next will be Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost and I'll make it follow on straight from this. Let me know if you would like to see that! And don't forget to review each chapter if you can! AJ
