"Velma! Are we glad to see you." Daphne said when she and Fred sighed with relief that it wasn't a bunch of zombies finding them in the bushes.
"What were you doing in there?" Velma asked after she and Beau helped them climb out.
"We were running from zombies and we had to find somewhere to hide until we caught our breath. Then you found us." Velma's jaw dropped in disbelief at Daphne's words. "Zombies?"
"Real Zombies Velma. Really real." Fred commented, finally backing Daphne up.
"Jinkies! We ought to head back to the house right away." Velma commented, beginning to lead the others away using a lantern that Beau had given her.
"Where are your friends?" Beau asked, scratching his head whilst walking, he was trying to figure out what the hell was going on, being as much as a sceptic as Fred was previously. "We found them, but we got separated again when the zombies came after us. I hope they're okay…" Daphne trailed off remembering their fear-stricken faces when the zombies had emerged from the bayou.
Shaggy and Scooby tumbled down the hill after being spooked by the zombies, collecting dirt and dust as they did. The zombies didn't follow them, probably the only positive of the experience. After a few seconds, they rolled straight through a huge bush and into a darkened area. "Rhere are we?" Scooby asked, after spitting bits of mud and rock out of his mouth. "It looks like some kind of hidden cave." Shaggy responded, taking in his surroundings after cracking his back and stretching. The cave was lit by a couple of candles resting on what seemed to be a table carved out of the rocks in the cave. "Rook! Rits Reddie." Scooby picked up a wax figure that was just to the right of the candles. It had a piece of orange fabric around the neck, mimicking Fred's old ascot. "Like wow! And this one is Velms." Shaggy responded, picking up the one with tiny glasses and a piece of blue material around the neck. Scooby picked up the final one which had red hairs coming from the top. He was now holding both wax figures resembling Daphne and Fred, one in each of his front paws. "Aw man, looks like there's none of us old buddy." Shaggy joked, moving the limbs of the Velma figure.
"AHH!" Velma, Daphne and Fred yelled in unison. Beau dropped his lantern to the ground in disbelief as all three of them had began levitating. For Velma, the second time that day. "Oh great, this again!" She groaned, still holding the lantern. Fred was in the middle, Daphne to his left and Velma to his right. Beau was looking up at them all, being the closest to Daphne he tried to pull her leg in an effort to get her down. "It's no use!" he said, giving up and scratching his head once more. Out of nowhere, Daphne smacked Fred right in the face. "Hey! What did you do that for?"
"Sorry! I didn't mean to. It feels like I have no control." Daphne pleaded, trying her best to stop her limbs from rapidly hitting anyone. "Ouch!" Fred yelled after being kicked in the leg by Velma.
"She's right! Something is controlling us!"
"Well why am I the one getting all the hits!" Fred remarked, wincing with pain.
"Rehehehe!" Scooby chuckled, as Shaggy used the leg on the Velma figure to punch him.
"Raggy rook!" He said, holding both the Fred and Daphne figures close together and making kissing noises. Shaggy began roaring with laughter at Scooby's actions. The two of them had always joked that it was only a matter of time before Fred and Daphne realised they had feelings for each other and this only fuelled their joke more. "Ri rove you Reddie. Ri rove you roo Raphne." Scooby continued, mimicking their voices as he held each one in turn as he spoke.
Fred, Daphne and Velma were still levitating, but now Beau was trying to pull Velma down. Without hesitation, Velma's fist swung out to make contact with his nose. "GAH!" he yelled, letting go of her arm and holding onto his sore nose. "Beau I am so sorry!"
"Don't worry." He responded, trying to mask how much Velma's punch had actually hurt.
Meanwhile, at the side of them, Fred and Daphne were now levitating right beside each other so much so that their lips were practically touching. Fred looked down unsure of what to do, his cheeks turning a shade of crimson. "I-uh I'm sorry I c-can't move." He managed to mumble, completely avoiding Daphne's gaze. She opened her mouth slightly to respond but just before her words would come out, whatever force was controlling their bodies closed the gap between their lips. Both of them were completely taken aback, Fred's eyes widened as he saw his lips against Daphne's for the first time. Daphne didn't know what to do, even if she wanted to pull away she had no control. The thing that surprised her the most was even though it wasn't their actions causing this, it felt right. Both of them eased into it and stayed there in the moment, Fred deepening the kiss after a few moments of awkwardness. The thing that they didn't realise was that their bodies were being controlled yes, their lips were pressed together but what they did with them couldn't be controlled by the wax figures. The kissing was all on them.
