Hey guys, here is chapter 6 of the amazing story of our two lovers. That last chapter was steamy wasn't it, but now we are diving into the attackers profile and figure out the future plans that are in the works. So without further to do lets get to it.

Clay and Peril entered the meeting room and in there was Starflight, Fatespeaker, Sunny, Glory, Deathbringer and Tsunami who was glaring at her. They sat next to each other waiting to here the news of the attack. Peril stared at Tsunami and everyone could feel there was tention in the room.

Clay then stood up. "Ok you said you had news about the dragon that attacked Peril, right?" Everyone but Peril and Tsunami looked at him.

"Yes." Said Deathbringer. "I was observing his body and I recognized him from a year ago."

"Who was he?" Starlight asked.

"His name was Darkness, and he was a very dangerous assassin, probably more so than me." He said tensed up.

Everyone looked at each other in confusion.

"Which is why I am surprised Clay was able to...deal with him." He continued. "He was highly skilled at hiding his presence. He had a lot of connections as well which is probably why he obtained those weapons."

"Do you know his connections by any chance, if you did know him you must have an idea." Glory asked.

Deathbringer looked at and then scratched the back of his head.

"If I had to guess, he probably was with the Night walkers." After saying that there was a pause in the room.

Fatespeaker then spoke. "Are you talking about that hidden group of dragons that kill for payment?"

Deathbringer nodded.

"Who are they?" Sunny asked with a concerned look.

"They are a secret group that is hard to find. There main thing is killing what they consider abominations." Hearing that word, Peril then looked at him. "However they have been known for getting involved in the war at times so a side could get an edge, but there main concern is hybrids, animus, etc. they are pure breed extremists."

"Ok, why attack Peril. She is pure Skywing." Clay was furious.

"My guess is because her firescales. We don't know how they come to be. They aren't natural just like be animus or a lot of cases hybrids, and its just as dangerous because nothing can touch her...or so we thought." Deathbringer exclaimed.

Peril then became pale 'Was this my fault? Are they now in danger because I'm around?' She thought to herself. Who would have known there were those kind of groups still out there. She couldn't really object to their view because she killed in Scarlet's arena, she had no say. Peril then grabbed clays paw in concern.

"Do we know where they are hiding?" Starflight then said.

"Unfortunately no, they are extremely cautious of their hideout and who knows if they only have one."

"Then how do we proceed?" Said Tsunami. Peril looked at her which Tsunami didn't.

"I don't know, but what I do know is they aren't the only one with connections. We have some too. We got the queens, the scorpion den as well as a lot others. So we need to be vigilant to protect what we have built and the students."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"We can't let them continue there acts. We need to strike them hard, no one attacks Peril and gets away scott-free." Clay said furiously, Peril looked at him smiling feeling all warm insides from his protectiveness. "I will not have this family we have built be destroyed by some extremist because of small mindedness. Do you know anyone who might have more insight on this group?"

"I might but he is a hidden oasis of the desert, and its almost impossible to find. Luckily I have been there before for... some jobs." He said with Glory glancing at him. "Who is willing to come with me?"

"I'll go!" Peril said everyone looking at her. "They were after me right? Its only fair if I go to deal with this."

Clay then stood up. "I'll go too, I won't let you do this alone. We are together and I will do anything to make sure your safe." She smiled at him and leaned into his shoulder.

"I will go as well." To everyone's surprise, Tsunami stepped up.

"Why do you want to go?" Peril asked.

"Don't get it confused. I am only doing this to help Clay, I have no intention on letting him lose what he cares about. Just remember what I said before."

Clay glared at her but Peril motioned him that it was ok.

"I can have my Great Aunt watch over things for me back at the rainforest. I will go too, this incident happened with me there so I am going to pay it forward fully." Glory said.

"Alright, its seems we have enough for this trip. We will leave in a few days, I need to plan the route and get us some gear and provisions." Deathbringer then walked out of the meeting.

One by one everyone else started to leave until it was only Peril. She was nervous, the fact that there were dragons after her with the actual means to kill kill her was unsettling. 'I have to protect Clay. Everyone is counting on me and I will never hear the end of it from Tsunami if something were to happen.' This mission was dangerous, more so than the twenty year war even. If they were going to have dragonets together, these guys need to be taken out and she will do whatever it takes to do it.

Walking back to Clay's room she was thinking of what their children would look like. A little more red with amber, Mudwing body with Skwings wings, and maybe even a cute Mudwing head with Skywing horns. They would look so adorable she thought. As time passes she was eager to find out. Finally arriving in Clay's room, she laid down on the slab to rest.

As she was lying down she rubbed her stomach, thinking if there was an egg by any chance however it was too soon to tell. 'What would we even name them?' She asked herself. 'Onyx? Hawk? Lily? Maybe even Heron?' It didn't really matter though as long as they were together. Her eyes were getting a little heavy, so she laid her head down on her arms. She starting to then dream and rest.

Perils dream

There was a little bit of light in front of her. She started walking toward it until she heard something. "Mommy." It sounded like a youngster. Looking around she tried to find the where the voice was coming from. Then she saw a little red dragonet. His cales were unusual with red but also amber on the under belly. His body had both Mudwing and Skywing features. "Mommy!" He started running toward her, she got lower and opened her arms. "Come here baby!" She said smiling at him. Then a darkness grabbed the dragonet, Peril roared and ran after the figure until she ran into something. Shaking her head she looked up and saw a large figure with red eyes grinning at her evilly. "NOO, BRING HIM BACK!" She yelled, then figured roared toward her and snapping his jaws around her.

"NOO!" She screamed. Terrified, she looked around her surroundings realizing it was just a dream. Noticing a wing over her she turned to see Clay sleeping next to her. Sighing in relief, she was glad it was only a dream however if she were to be expecting, the trip could prove dangerous. They would be a burden. She shook her head. 'No if that were to be the case, we have strong members with us. We will be fine.' Shen laid down again.

Peril snuggled closer to him, which he wrapped an arm around her. She licked his cheek and then laid her head on his neck. She slowly started to go asleep again.

"I promise Clay, if I am expecting during our expedition, I will protect them no matter what. Having a family with you is something I will die protecting." She said quietly. Closing her eyes, they were going to need a lot of preparation before they embark on their journey.
