When you have turned thirty, the inner urge for company begins to grow. At least that's what happened to Kyle. You wonder where the last few years have gone and your mother didn't make things any better by asking about a girlfriend or, worse, about grandchildren. Well, humans couldn't reproduce on their own, because he had been single again for two months. To make matters worse, there was still a class reunion that Stan had invited him to. He said that if he could manage to move his ass there this year, then they would be complete for the first time in six meetings. As if it was his fault, that he had a busy life. He sure did not go there infrequently because the others were doing better on social media in that time. No matter if work or private. Well, there wasn't much to complain about his job now, because he received a good salary that he could afford a nice apartment. Still, he always felt that he hadn't achieved anything great so far. Having a partner by your side who would understand you a little more wouldn't be so bad. Then his relationships would not always break up after a while. Oh, what was he kidding himself? He was just pretending it was never up to him that ... Hm, why did it smell so flowery here now?

"Oh, sorry." Suddenly he heard someone next to him, in the aisle in the supermarket, which was really the most inopportune place to sink into pity. After all, other people wanted the pasta he was hanging around in front of. He sighed and turned his head to the person next to him.

"No. I'm sorry that I'm the .." The redhead broke off when his eyes fell on a chubby and sweet brown-haired woman. Which eyed him questioningly. Surely because he was still standing around stupidly. So he pulled himself together, stopped staring at her and pushed his cart on. After all, he still had to do the shopping for his mother today, because once he's here, he can do that. He didn't feel like doing it and yet he was strolling around here in the shop. In the corner of his eye, Kyle noticed that the woman was still watching him. Inside he was a little pleased because maybe she thought he was handsome. She was also more than good looking. No, don't look directly, he said to himself and ran on to search for canned peaches. He should forget that now, because he wasn't here to meet anyone, after all.

A few minutes later, however, he saw her again by the freezers. Like a shy teenager, he hid behind a cardboard display when he thought she was looking in his direction. He pretended to be interested in this ad. Then he looked past it again and saw her leaning down to pick up frozen fish. From his point of view, he could now check her beautiful face better, because somehow she looked familiar to him. But he would remember someone like that. The thought quickly passed as his eyes wandered further down and into her luscious cleavage. A pendant glittered between her breasts. When Kyle realized what he was doing, he shook his head quickly and turned away. What was he? A pervert? Surely the beauty was already in firm hands. With his luck lately, she also thought he was a creepy gawker. So he decided to finally work through the shopping list properly so he could get out of here before making a fool of himself.

Unfortunately he caught the young woman again in the parking lot, because her car was not far from his. At least he'd think she was younger in the sunlight. But he was really bad at that too. With one ex he only noticed shortly before breaking up that she was six years older than him. Not that it bothered him, but he would have liked to have known it sooner.

Almost gracefully, the brown-haired woman packed her things in the trunk of her car and he always tried to look briefly, but she seemed too busy to notice him. As she bent down, this time he tried not to stare at her neckline. Unfortunately, he didn't see much from the side either. But in the end he just wanted to find out who she was now. At least that's what he told himself internally. Of course he could go over and ask, but firstly, he didn't want to bother her and secondly, not to drag himself down any more if she was already taken or found him annoying. Still, he wondered whether she's here for the school meeting as well. The thought that she looked familiar just couldn't get out of his head. But actually he rarely forgot a beautiful face. Maybe she's someone who only moved to South Park in the past few years. He should also stow away his purchases.

"Kyle!" Suddenly called a voice and he slammed the back of his head against the trunk because he jumped up so quickly. As he rubbed the spot, a car that drove past behind him also honked at him. Hmm, nobody was looking at him here. So who had called? He hurriedly closed his car at the back and got in, because he didn't need to be embarrassed any more. So he drove out of the parking space and saw the pretty lady again in the rearview mirror, because she looked questioningly in his direction. But he shook it off, because that was surely just a coincidence.

Even if he tried, the beauty would not disappear from his thoughts. Well, it wasn't made any easier for him, because he saw her more often in South Park. So she really lived in the village, but it still didn't occur to him where he had seen her before. Kenny and Stan weren't much help to him either, because describing didn't help and every time he saw her again, the others weren't there. Although he thought of taking a picture in secret, he was never good at this without getting caught and he didn't want to look stupid in front of her, even if there was no chance to chat with her. His buddies always said it wouldn't be bad if it didn't work out just because he lived further away. He didn't think so about it himself, because he always felt uncomfortable when he met his exes. With one he was almost certain that she would gossip about him. Maybe he was already so internally controlled that he always picked the wrong women. Sometimes he wondered how the others did it that way.

And now Kyle was standing here at the class reunion, sipping his wine spritzer from time to time. So yeah, it was kind of great to see everyone again, but somehow not either. He either felt sick from the drink or from hearing too much, that everyone else was better off. Either with jobs, families, trips, houses and so on. Although he tried to sound normal when he said that he was now a sports teacher at a university, he never pursued that goal. Well, once landing stupid while playing basketball and the dream of the great player is now gone, sounded too sad so he just mentioned that he had changed his mind.

Next to him were Kenny and Stan now. Opposite was Heidi, whom he accidentally bumped into when he came in earlier. At first the redhead thought she was the beautiful girl at the grocery store. But only in his memories did the woman seem rounder, because Heidi had lost quite a bit since he last saw her. Even in high school, she wasn't that fat anymore. She explained something to him about sports and vegan lifestyle, while his black-haired friend rolled his eyes. Probably because he has heard it before. Kenny was on the phone with someone who appeared to be coming. He didn't really get it about the music and the chatter next to him. Wendy also said a while ago that some of them will arrive later, which the planner didn't like. To which he just said it wasn't compulsory to show up to the event and then get a quick poisonous look for it. Punctuality is probably everything, she replied and disappeared back into the anteroom to greet other guests and their souvenirs. Probably because of that, his buddy held back ask for her hand, because wedding planning can be quite stressful and Stan always got problems with things like that. In the past he could not understand the negativity of his depression and today it was no different with him on some days. But actually there wasn't really a reason to complain and yet you sometimes just felt lousy and tired.

New guests stepped in the door and brought his attention back elsewhere. He was able to recognize some people right away. With others it took a moment. He then became a little more awake when he saw her again. The woman from the supermarket. This time a little more spruced up than last time. Immediately he looked down at himself and thought that maybe he should have made a little more effort to get dressed. At least as far as the shirt was concerned. Hell, his mother was right about seeing nice girls again. But he talked it down because he hadn't actually come here for dates. Actually. And yet he was interested in this woman, who came here today in a lilac-colored dress that so beautifully played around her curves. Open and slightly wavy hair that you would like to run your fingers through. A little jewelry on the ears, neck and arms. Make-up not too over the top. Apparently she knew exactly what to use to attract looks, because he couldn't turn away. A moment later, he did when Kenny nudged him with his elbow. Only then did he notice his not exactly pure thoughts and blinked into his mug. Most likely he should only drink soda or water from now on. In addition, the nice-looking lady was already holding onto a male arm, so she was surely taken. Nevertheless, he checked the guy next to her again cursory. Blond and almost as tall as him, but only because of the shoes. The scar on his eye, which after years still seemed very obvious, told him who it was.

"Is that Butters?" He asked the blond guy, a little disappointed and then realized that Heidi had already stepped over to greet the new people warmly.

"Yes, you can still see that after years, right? He's still kept that childish face a bit." It was answered him in a tone of fascination. Had he missed something, but he put things like that on later.

"Hm. And who is that next to him? His wife?" Because he wanted to know much more about her now.

"Yes, he would like to have… Wait? You really don't know who that is?" Kenny pointed to the woman in lilac and he pushed the guy's arm down again, because the whole thing should be less obviously. Even if it probably didn't turn to something, he wanted to make a good first impression on the beautiful stranger.

"How? He's hardly been here in the last few years and he probably hasn't seen him .. her in ages." Stan commented on the matter and he got even more question marks over his head. Apparently everyone knew who it was, except he didn't.

"Hey Ca .." The black-haired man apparently wanted to call her, but his mouth was closed.

"Let me do it. That could be funny." Kenny grinned at the statement and he almost thought he didn't get it right.

"Oh, you with your foolishness. I'll get something to eat." Kyle disappeared from the two with a roll of his eyes and walked over to the cold plate. Well, it didn't look too good, but you weren't here to eat either, but to chat about the old days. Unfortunately, this spritzer felt still so strange in his stomach. But he didn't want to think about what was being mixed up in there, so he took a grain roll. Maybe that soaks up the alcohol enough. He almost bumped into someone as he turned around.

"Sorry, I .. Oh!" And then she just stood there and looked at him. Nothing happened for a few seconds. Well, except that they both looked at each other. Was she checking him out too? No. Or? He was about to clear his throat and say something nice, but someone got ahead of him.

"I whispered to you what to say." Kenny suddenly interfered and put an arm around the woman, which irritated him a little. As if the two were old friends. But that made it easier for him to look at her face, because she wasn't looking back now. Long, curved eyelashes. Some rouge. Eyeshadow applied discreetly and matches the dress.

"Dude, how old are we? Twelve? I'm not in the mood for these childish games." She explained in a certain tone that he had to think about earlier times again. What or who did that remind him of?

Then the penny, or rather stone, fell, because he suddenly felt as if he had been slain and frozen in place at the same time. This person's hair used to be much shorter and they never wore make-up or feminine clothes. Yes, actually, but just for fun. At least until the moment of change.

"Car .. Cartman?" Kyle stuttered to himself, because he somehow didn't dare to speak out.

"Hm?" With that he drew the attention of both of them, especially of the woman to him again. His suspicion was thus confirmed and he could only continue to stare at her in shock, because his brain could not deal with the picture in front of him and the one from before. Suddenly other memories came up of him that he had actually buried. His stomach didn't take it anymore, because now he was getting really nauseous.

"That must really run him over." Kenny said with a laugh, which he didn't really get. He didn't find the situation amusing at all and just wanted to get away.

"What are you talking about? He looks pale as a sheet. Are you not well?" Everything was taken from his hands because they were certainly trembling. He couldn't answer the question that was asked of him and quickly went to the toilet with his hand up.

After the redhead vomited, he stood unsteadily in front of the sink and looked in the mirror. He didn't feel like going out there again. But if he wanted to go, he'd have to do it. Unfortunately, the room was so divided that one would notice his disappearance.

Why was he even doing this to himself? He shouldn't have come here at all.

"Are you ok?" Stan suddenly stepped in and when the door slowly closed again, he could still see this purple dress outside.

"I probably shouldn't have just been drinking this alcoholic stuff." He uttered monotonously and continued to look at the sink. He threw water on his face again, because somehow he got warm.

"Probably. What was it?" It was agreed with him and then asked something he didn't quite understand.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, you were fine earlier and then you bump into Cartman and throw up. Did she say anything?" The black-haired man sounded like he did when they were teenagers. Worried that someone might say something stupid about him. Inwardly, however, he was still thinking of other things.

"Still Cartman, huh?" He was talking to himself and drying his hands before slowly walking towards the door. In the end it didn't help to hide in the toilet forever.
