Virtuoso Redemption
Ravess! Once Cyclonia's high ranking military officer. A skilled archer. An impeccably dressed Femme Fatale, and a master of the strings. Her melodies would instill fear into the most battle-hardened of Sky Knights; but that is about to change.
Ravess had been dishonourably dismissed from the Cyclonian empire in the months leading to Cyclonia's fall. Seemingly disappearing from any kind of public view. This time had not been spent lazing around, however. Assembling her quintet of various bowed instrumentalists, Ravess has devoted herself to a path of redemption and possible forgiveness. Still under warrant for her arrest within the Free Atmos, Ravess has had to spend her time hiding in the various Unfederated Terras around the furthest reaches of the known Atmos.
Despite this difficulty, Ravess' quintet has seen an evergrowing audience who are willing to risk the journies to the Atmos' farthest reaches to hear her performances.
'She lacks the air-guitar that we insisted a while ago would improve her act, but ehh, she's okay other wise' , 'Yes. She has a developed skill with her music, but there's still more that could be done' -Staldorf and Walder, the giant tentacle talent scout.
'Back on my home Terra, I told her that she had her music to fall back on. I love it when I'm right' -Noob, Terra Nibius Pergamentum.
'My boys and I found her performance to be quite the gripping show!' -Captain Scabulous, Terra Deep
We have enjoyed exclusive and unfettered access to her and her quintet performing on the secluded and regal Terra Klockstoppia, and have even been granted the chance for an interview. Guy Skyly reports;
G.S: So, Ravess, how do you cope with performing in Atmos' outer reaches. Knowing you can't return to the Free Atmos?
Ravess: It's a deep and crying shame. Although, whilst I can protest my innocence in the fall of Cyclonia, nothing will be able to persuade a court against charging me with actions I have done within my time in the empire.
G.S: So you feel this change of career marks your redemption?
Ravess: Redemption is only the beginning, Guy. My main hope is that the people and the governments of Atmos are willing to forgive both me and my quintet for our crimes. We have accepted that what we have done was wrong, and are working to redeem ourselves in not only our own eyes, but the public's eye too.
G.S: This 'apology tour' of sorts seems to have been working well. We have heard, with confirmation, that Terra Aquinos has rescinded their warrant for you and your quintet's arrest in exchange for a performance. Will you stop by on your tour?
Ravess: (thousand yard stare) ...Terra... Aquinos...
Another Quintet Member: (grabs microphone after awkward silence) -We are grateful for Terra Aquinos' trust in our path to a better future and we would love to perform there.
G.S: Well there you have it, folks! Ravess seems to have shed her past and is moving on to bigger and better things! This is Guy Skyly, with Ravess' quintet, Terra Klockstoppia.
Air Rugby Finals
Terra Rex have faced a crushing defeat, losing the finals of the Air Rugby Championship to Terra Bogaton.
The first half seemed uneventful, with neither side managing to score a try. However, at the start of the second, an early scum saw Bogaton's hook, Adinos T.P, manage to rake the ball to Fesslin, who managed to go on and score a try, followed immediately by a failed conversion.
The rest of the game saw a tension building push from Rex. Slowly taking the ball further snd further down field. Yet this steady crawl was just not enough. The match time ran out. The victory was sealed. Bogaton wins 3 nil.
Terra Rex's fans would respond with respect, and Bogaton's fans with humble reverence. A pleasant, if fleeting, outcome to such a pivotal match.
Now it's time for the weather.
Blizzaris, Zartacla, and Wallop are all due a series of storms late in the nights, not clearing up for a couple of days, and seeming to be blue skies from there on. Sahar looks to be having a stream of low pressure rushing through, causing an end to their month long heatwave. Meanwhile, Atmosia, Gale, and Rex all seem to be warming up. A jet of high pressure air making its way up and through. Back down in the south, the once Polaris Point has closed up once again as the Merbian and the Amazonian storm systems re-merge for another month's stretch. That's your weather forecast, more accurate and current forecasts available on Atmos Pathe radio. Until then, bye for now.
