AN-The song at the end of this chapter is Don't look back by Kotomi and Ryan Elder.

...

Smoke. It was the only thing the four year old girl was able to smell. She could barely breathe and she could barely see. It was all so sudden. One moment, she was in her room, trying to go to sleep. Then boom. When she came to, she found that her home was burning down. "Mommy! Daddy!" The girl cried out, only to receive no answer.

She saw two strange silhouettes within the smoke. As they approached her, she gasped at what looked to her like bug monsters. As she backed away in fear, one of them raised a claw as if to alleviate her fear. "Do not be afraid, child. We were not the ones that caused this. But we know who did."

"W-Who?" The girl asked nervously.

The bug monster let out what sounded like a low growling sound. "The man who did this was the rebel known as Rick Sanchez!"

...

From the Galactic Federation mothership, Tammy stared at footage from her drones of the town of Royal Woods, now currently bathed in the orange glow of the evening sun. A town that she once called her home. She remembered that alternate Lincoln's warnings about underestimating Rick. While she did plan on conquering the Earth, there was something else that took higher priority. Her plan to deal with Rick was simple. While he was gone, she would capture one of his family members. Rick would of course attempt to rescue them and once she'd get him in the right spot, she would have him teleported to the citadel where he would hopefully be out of the Federation's way for good. She wondered what she'd do once this was all over. She'd probably step down from being the current leader and let someone else lead. Maybe go back to her old position, serving the Federation. She had brought quite a sizeable army for this mission. If this failed somehow, the Federation would probably be finished. It was a risk but luckily, she had enlisted some strong soldiers whose task would be to specifically hunt down Rick's family members. She turned to face these soldiers, which consisted of her new generals, Mr. Needful, Risotto Groupon, Krombopulos Amy and that strange goose. Along with them also was the brainwashed Crocubot, Noob-Noob and of course, Squanchy.

Risotto Groupon had some mixed feelings about his current position. He never thought he would have ended up working for the Galactic Federation. From what he had heard about what the Federation did, if they had ended up controlling his planet, his people would've suffered worse than they did from losing the war. Still, it has given him another shot at getting revenge on Rick. Plus, he shuddered to think of what would have happened if he refused her offer as he glanced over at the three brainwashed soldiers, all standing with blank expressions. "Remember." Tammy started. "All of you are to track down Rick's family members. I need at least one of them alive. Am I clear?" He and the other six all nodded in response. Tammy seemed pleased by this. "Good." Risotto tried to hide his disapproval. It was Rick he wanted revenge on. He didn't want to be part of another war or involve innocents in this. Though he didn't exactly have much of a choice.

...

As Rick and the others found themselves surrounded, he turned to Lynn. "Alright, we really don't have time to fuck around here. Can you turn into that super form and deal with these guys?"

"You sure?" Lynn asked.

"Just do it already!" Rick snapped impatiently.

Lynn concentrated for a moment before transforming into her super-powered form in a white flash. She gripped her bat and within a blink of an eye, the entire army was knocked unconscious. Lynn returned to the group before turning back to normal, completely exhausted. "Good work, Lynn." Rick complimented. Lynn gave a thumbs up in response as she tried to catch her breath.

Wilbur and the rest of the Defiance all stared at what happened in disbelief. "What in the world have I missed since I've been gone?" Wilbur asked.

"It's a long ass story." Rick replied. "Look, the Earth's fucked if we don't get there quick! Please tell me you've a way to get there."

Wilbur began typing something on the device on his wrist. "I had a ship on standby ready for our escape. It should be here soon." Not long after this, a ship flew down and parked in front of them as its rear entrance opened up.

...

Leni, Luna, Luan, Lucy, Lana, Lola and Lisa all stood outside of the Loud house, staring up at the sky as the Galactic Federation mothership began beaming gromflomite soldiers into Royal Woods. They were the only ones at home at the moment as Rita and Lynn Sr. were currently having a therapy session while Lily was being babysat by the McBrides. "This ain't looking good, dudes..." Luna said as she slowly shook her head.

"We're doomed..." Lucy bemoaned.

"Where's Grandpa Rick?!" Lola asked, trying not to panic.

"I believe he went off on an adventure with Lori, Lincoln and Lynn." Lisa answered. There was a slight hint of disdain in her voice.

"We gotta, like, do something!" Leni stated.

Luan laughed nervously. "Uh, Leni, dunno if you noticed but even with our Full House costumes, we might just be a tad outnumbered."

"How are we supposed to fight all of them?" Lana asked.

"Oooooh..." Leni began pacing on the spot and started flapping her hands as she tried to think of something. As she looked over at Rick's garage, something suddenly came to her. "Ooh, ooh! I think I just got one of those, you know, lightbulb thingies!"

"An idea?" Luan asked.

Leni nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! One of those!"

...

Rick and the other Loud siblings were on the ship as they were each dealing with the wait to get home in their own ways. "Goddamn, fucking bitch! When I see Tammy again I'm gonna fucking..." Rick was currently pacing back and forth, muttering profanities to himself.

Lori was stood aside, arms folded and with a far away look in her eyes as she tried not to think about what the Federation could do to her family. Lincoln, meanwhile, was trying to comfort and reassure her. Which was helping to take his own mind off of his worries. "I'm sure they'll be fine. They can use our Full House costumes to defend themselves if they end up in trouble."

"Yeah..." Lori replied, not entirely convinced.

Meanwhile, Lynn was sat next to a table that Birddaughter had been strapped to. She was currently being checked on by the Defiance's doctor. A short, elderly looking alien with blue skin, patches of white fur on his head and a red, cybernetic eye. He was inside an orange, bean shaped, robotic exoskeleton with five arms. "You sure you're okay?" He asked.

"I'm fine." Lynn assured him. "Just...feeling a little tired."

"You know, I actually have something for that." The doctor said as he got out some pills. "You want some? They're nonaddictive. That's not true. They're totally addictive. I'm a terrible doctor. I actually have something for that, too." He got out another vial of pills. "These are actually nonaddictive." He swallowed some. "Mmm. I'm a great doctor. Say, you want any upgrades or modifications for that eye of yours?"

Lynn gave him a disturbed look. "Uhh, no thanks."

"Ok, well, you can always contact me if you change your mind!" With that, the doctor left Lynn alone.

After that, Birddaughter began to stir. As she woke up and realised that she had been restrained, she began to struggle. "Let me go!"

Lynn frowned. "No way! Why would you want to stay in a prison any way?"

"Why do you care?!"

"I'm just trying to help you!"

"Help me?" Birddaughter gave her a confused look.

Lynn sighed. This girl had spent her whole life in a prison. There was a lot she likely didn't understand and she was probably scared of the idea and of being taken to an unfamiliar environment. "Look, we don't want to hurt you. That place you were living in sucked! We just want to take you somewhere better."

Birddaughter gave Lynn a confused look. "Why?"

"Because a kid shouldn't be living in a prison. Look, just please trust me. If you give us a chance, you'll never wanna go back to that place."

Birddaughter thought about it for a moment. "Fine." She narrowed her eyes at Lynn. "But if this is a trick, you're dead meat. Got it?"

Lynn gulped. "G-Got it."

...

The citizens of Royal Woods fled in fear as the gromflomite soldiers were beamed down to Earth. As they began to open fire on them, they paused as the ground began to shake. "Is this a normal thing on Earth?" A gromflomite soldier asked another before they began to hear what sounded like people chanting 'look at me' and 'I'm Mr. Meeseeks'.

To the surprise of the Federation soldiers, they found themselves under attack by an army of Meeseeks.

...

"Mommy? What's happening?" A frightened Darcy asked her mother as they ran through the streets with a bunch of other people. Her mother was holding her hand tightly.

"It's okay, Darcy. Everything will be fine. Just keep running." Darcy's mother tried to assure her while attempting to hide the fear in her voice. She then gasped as their group was stopped by a group of winged gromflomite landed in front of them. They chuckled sinisterly. "Trying to run away, huh?" One of them taunted.

The group of humans backed away in fear as Darcy's mother tried to hide Darcy behind her. She was breathing heavily. "Oh God..."

Darcy started to fear as the gromflomites began to aim their guns at them. However, she also started to feel something else. Something telling that she needed to do something. Like something sparking inside her. Despite being terrified, she ran forward. "DARCY!" Her mother screamed.

The gromflomites opened fire on them.

"What the hell?!" One of them exclaimed as their shots were blocked by a magical barrier. The girl that ran forward was now floating behind this barrier, having transformed into some kind of fairy princess. She then waved her wand and casted a spell that turned a couple of the gromflomites into frogs. This caused the rest of them to scream in terror and retreat.

"D-Darcy?" Darcy's mother stuttered in shock.

...

Once Arturo had gotten over his shock, he brought his arms around Ronnie Anne, Clyde and Sid. "We need to go home. Now!" Unfortunately, the taxi he had came in had already drove off, the driver having also noticed the spaceship in the sky. The four ran down the street, however, upon turning a corner, they halted at the sight of a large, hulking cat with some kind of device around his neck. For some reason, this cat almost seemed familiar to Ronnie Anne. Unfortunately for the four of them, the cat quickly noticed them. Somehow it seemed as if it recognised them too. "You!" Squanchy bellowed. "Where are the Louds?!"

Arturo got in front of the kids in an effort to protect them. "I-I-I'm sorry, what?"

The monster cat didn't seem to have the patience to explain himself as he growled and began to pull back his fist.

Ronnie Anne's eyes widened in horror. This couldn't be happening. She just got her dad back. She couldn't lose him like this. Without even thinking, she moved in front of her father, spreading her arms as she closed her eyes. "RONALDA!" Arturo screamed as Squanchy threw his fist towards her.

Only for Squanchy to scream in pain and nurse his fist. Ronnie Anne opened her eyes upon realising that she was completely unharmed. "Huh?"

Arturo, as well as Clyde and Sid, stared at Ronnie Anne in shock. "Ronnie Anne?"

...

"Double Repukken!" As people fled the park in fear, two Meeseeks could also be seen as they were sent flying.

Lisa, now wearing her Card Counter outfit, entered the park and soon came across that mutant goose that terrorised her family not too long ago. Upon noticing Lisa, the goose made a 'bring it' gesture. "Bring it on! I'll destroy all of you!" The goose taunted.

Lisa let out a sigh. "Another one of Rick's mistakes. One that I'll have to deal with this time." She glared at the goose as she brought out her taser. "Rest assured, you will be dealt with properly this time."

...

"Hi-yah!" Lola delivered a kick to the side of a gromflomite's head, knocking him out. Luckily, it didn't seem like there were any gromflomites that needed her attention as the Meeseeks were doing a good job of keeping them all busy.

However, she then heard a voice that sent a chill down her spine. "Well, well." She turned to see that she was once again face to face with Mr. Needful. "How ironic. The demon child is now pretending to be a superhero."

Lola growled with fury. "Shut up!" She ran towards the demon intending to attack him, only to pause before she got burned by the pillar of fire he summoned to teleport away.

"It must be so exhausting putting on this facade of a normal girl." Mr. Needful taunted from somewhere behind her. "Trying to suppress the demon inside that you truly are. Why even try to fight it?"

"Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!" Lola shouted. Mr. Needful chuckled maliciously in response.

...

Lana scowled upon noticing a familiar figure. She could see Krombopulos Amy trying to shoot down some Meeseeks. There wasn't anything she could do against her before but now that she was the Royal Flush, she had a plan.

As Krombopulos Amy fended off a couple Meeseeks, she suddenly felt a sharp pain on the back of her head, as if someone threw a hammer at her. "Argh!" She fell down to one knee.

"Hey, you big jerk!" Lana taunted, causing Krombopulos Amy to look over at her. "If you wanna hurt me so bad then come and get me!" She then dashed.

Krombopulos Amy growled as she stood back up and began to give chase. Which was exactly what Lana wanted as she ran off in the direction of the Royal Woods zoo.

...

Near the currently empty Loud House, Noob-Noob had just shot down a couple Meeseeks before approaching the Louds' home. "Alright, if any of Rick's family is in there, you better come out now, God dang it!"

Meanwhile next door, Mr. Grouse was peeking out of the window at what was happening outside. He groaned. "Shoulda known we'd be invaded by aliens the way this town was going." He bemoaned to himself.

"Ooh wee, w-what's happening out there?" Mr. Poopybutthole asked as stumbled towards the window, slightly drunk. He was currently crashing at Mr. Grouse's house due to certain issues he was having with his wife.

"Shh." Mr. Grouse replied.

Noob-Noob got out a grenade. "You better come out right now or I'm blowing this house up! God dang!"

Mr. Grouse's eyes widened as he knew that there wasn't anyone in the house. "That dang alien's gonna blow up the whole neighbourhood at this rate!" He then noticed that Mr. Poopybutthole had disappeared. "Huh?!"

"H-Hey you!" Mr. Grouse's mouth was agape upon realising that Mr. Poopybutthole had left his house and was trying to confront Noob-Noob. "Yeah I'm talking to you you p-piece of shit!"

"What the Sam heck is he thinking?! That little idiot's gonna get himself killed!" Mr. Grouse muttered to himself. He didn't exactly want to get himself killed but despite all logic, a part of him was telling him to do something.

"Y-You better put those weapons away or I'm gonna get real mad, ooh wee!" Mr. Poopybutthole threatened.

"God dang!" Was Noob-Noob's reply.

"OOH WEE!"

"GOD DANG!" Just as Noob-Noob was about to fire, Mr. Poopybutthole was suddenly tackled out of the way as his saviour rolled to hide behind a car.

Once they were out of the way, Mr. Poopybutthole looked up at his saviour in confusion. "Huh? W-When did you change clothes, Bud?"

Mr. Grouse looked down at the suit he was now wearing before groaning. "Well, so much for having a quiet evening."

...

Maggie was running in fear from the invading gromflomites only to find herself face to face with two of them. Before they could attack her however, a stink bomb suddenly went off, creating a small gas cloud. "Bug off!" As the two gromflomites were coughing, they were suddenly both smacked aside by a giant mallet. Maggie's eyes widened upon realising that Luan had saved. "Mags! Are you okay?!"

"I'm fine. I...forget your family has those outfits sometimes." Maggie admitted.

Luan smirked upon noticing there was a small blush on Maggie's face. "You like it? Heh, maybe I should dress up like a crazed weirdo more often then."

"Don't you mean a superhero?"

Luan shrugged. "Eh. Superhero. Crazed weirdo. What's the difference?"

Maggie let out a snort of amusement. "Whatever."

Luan's expression suddenly went serious as she tackled Maggie to the floor. "Get down!" The two narrowly missed a laser shot that blew up the wall of a nearby building.

The two looked over to see that the one who fired at them was Crocubot. "Surrender Luan Loud, or I will have to take you in by force!"

Luan noticed the device around his neck. "Is that guy being brainwashed?" She stood up, pulling Maggie up with her. "As much as I'd love to sit around and make self depreciating jokes, you gotta get out of here. Don't worry about me, I've got this."

"Ok, just...stay safe, Luan." Maggie said.

"I'll be fine. Physically at least. Just go!" Luan told her urgently.

Maggie did as Luan said and ran off. However, after making some distance, she couldn't help but look back as her girlfriend was about to go into battle against an alien cyborg crocodile. She couldn't help but wonder if there was something she could do.

...

At Reininger's, Risotto Groupon was currently holding the worker's inside hostage as Miguel and Fiona were currently hugging each other in fear. "This is NOT how I pictured the way I'd die!" Miguel cried out.

"I do NOT get paid enough for this!" Fiona bemoaned.

"Now, now. As long as you to do as I say, no one needs to get hurt." Risotto assured them. "I know that Leni Loud works here. I simply need you to contact her and tell her to come here."

"Y-You want us to sell out Leni?" Fiona asked.

"A harsh way of putting it but essentially, yes."

However, it didn't seem like contacting Leni was necessary. The Royal Woods Mall was Leni's first priority anyway as she soon ended up running into Reininger's. She gasped upon seeing Risotto. "It's you!"

Risotto turned to her. "Well, that's convenient."

"You're that guy that tricked me at that resort!"

Risotto raised an eyebrow at her. "Dear, you tricked yourself into somehow thinking you worked there."

Leni frowned. "W-Whatever! Just, like, leave my family alone!"

"I'm afraid I can't do that. Why don't you make this easy for both of us and come with me? I promise you will not be harmed as long as you're with me. It's your grandfather's fault all of this is happening. He needs to pay."

"I am not gonna let you hurt my grandpa!" Leni shot out one of her ribbons which wrapped around Risotto's large ballistic shield. She attempted to pull it away, only for it to be too heavy for her. Risotto then pulled Leni towards him, causing her to lunge forward and slam her face into his shield, which was like getting slammed into a wall. She then stumbled back as her ribbon automatically retracted. "Owie..."

"Poor girl, you don't even know the kind of man you're fighting for. You're not going to beat me. Do everyone a favour and surrender."

...

Tammy's patience was wearing thin as she watched footage of what was happening in Royal Woods through the drones. She had not expected that there would be an army ready to take on her invasion nor had she expected that Lori's siblings would be able to defend themselves so well against her strongest soldiers. She couldn't wait. Even if one of Rick's family was eventually captured, she couldn't risk the chance that he might return before that could happen. She didn't want to involve herself in this but she didn't have much choice. She wasn't going to let this plan fall apart. Luckily, there was still Rick's son and his wife that were currently unaccounted for. And she was fairly certain neither of them had superhero outfits.

...

Lynn Sr. and Rita were currently in therapy. Both them and Dr. Lopez were currently unaware of the invasion currently happening. "So, Lynn, what makes you think you might be neglecting your children?" Dr. Lopez asked.

Lynn Sr. sighed. "It's just...hard to give them all the attention they deserve and I'm wondering if this might be giving them issues. Like, I'm starting to wonder if it's really a coincidence that half of them want careers that involve performing in front of audiences."

Before this conversation could continue, the wall suddenly exploded, throwing the three back somewhat. Tammy then came inside, alongside some winged gromflomite soldiers. "Tammy?" Lynn Sr. and Rita exclaimed.

"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Loud." Tammy greeted in a fake friendly tone. "It's been a while."

Rita glared at Tammy while Lynn Sr. cowered in fear. "You stabbed Lori in the back. I always had a bad feeling about you." Rita spat.

Tammy rolled her eyes. "Oh, boo hoo. Unfortunately, I need a hostage right about now so unless you both want to die, you'll be coming with me."

Tammy then heard an automated voice. "Federation soldiers detected."

"Huh?" Tammy then screamed as she suddenly felt a hot burning pain all across her back. As she screamed, she could just barely make out Lynn Sr., Rita and Dr. Lopez running out of the building.

...

After being careful to avoid detection from the Federation mothership, the Defiance's ship was now flying down to Earth. Rick whistled as he looked out of the window. "Gotta admit, clever move using an army of Meeseeks to fight back."

The ship landed in front of the Loud house. As everyone got out, Rick noticed the current shoot out that was happening nearby. "Oh shit, it's, uh, whatshisface!"

"Noob-Noob." Lincoln reminded him with an annoyed expression.

It didn't take long for Mr. Grouse to notice Rick as he gave an annoyed look. "Sanchez! This is all your fault somehow, isn't it?"

"Oh, so he does have powers like Lynn." Rick remarked. "Yeah, don't worry, I got this." He then got out some kind of laser gun and fired at Noob-Noob.

The laser directly hit the device around Noob-Noob's neck, causing it to short circuit and fall off. "Huh?" Noob-Noob looked at his surroundings in confusion before looking disappointed in himself. "God dang..."

"We'll go help out the citizens." Wilbur stated as he and the other defiance members ran off.

"Yeah, you do that." Rick curtly replied before turning his attention onto his grandkids. "As for you guys, Lynn, you take Birddaughter into the house and try to make sure she doesn't run away or something."

Considering Lynn was still rather tired, she was fine with this. "You're cool with that, right?" Lynn asked Birddaughter.

"I was hoping to kill the gromflomites myself but...fine." Birddaughter replied.

As Lynn and Birddaughter ran into the house, Rick turned to Lincoln and Lori. "As for you two, suit up. We're gonna make sure your sisters are all okay."

"What about that?" Lincoln asked, pointing towards the mothership in the sky.

Rick waved it off. "We'll deal with 'that' later. Let's just focus on your sisters for now."

...

Although the gromflomites hadn't spread out far enough to reach Ronnie Anne's group, due to being held up by Meeseeks, they still had the threat of a brainwashed Squanchy to deal with. "How did I do that?" Ronnie Anne asked herself.

She didn't have long to dwell on this as Squanchy roared and threw another punch at her, only for the same thing to happen again as he roared in pain.

Ronnie Anne then decided to take a risk. She clenched her fists and ran forward, punching Squanchy in the gut. "RAAAARRGGH!" This not only hurt Squanchy, it actually sent him flying a short distance away, as he rolled across the street.

Clyde clasped his head in shock. "WHAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW?!"

"I know you said she was the toughest kid in class...BUT YOU NEVER TOLD ME SHE WAS THIS TOUGH!" Sid exclaimed.

Meanwhile, Lucy noticed Squanchy, along with the device around his neck as she ran down the street, quickly realising that Ronnie Anne was in danger. "That can't be good." She then dashed towards Squanchy. She pressed a button on her shovel, transforming it into a scythe before jumping up and cleanly slicing through the device around Squanchy's neck.

The device fell off. "Huh?" Squanchy returned back into his normal form as he looked around in confusion. "Ah squanch, how long was I out for?"

"Are you guys okay?" Lucy asked as she approached the others.

Clyde and Sid suddenly wrapped her into a hug. "You saved us!!" Clyde sobbed.

"How can we ever repay you?!" Sid cried.

"Need...space..." Lucy choked out.

Meanwhile, Ronnie Anne was staring down at her hands before Arturo clasped her shoulders and knelt down. "Ronalda, I need you to be honest with me." His expression was a mix of concern and fear. "What just happened was not normal. Has someone done something to you?"

Ronnie Anne didn't know how to answer that.

...

Lisa was starting to get rather frustrated with how this goose shrugged off any kind of attack by simply 'blocking' as if its wings could just absorb any and all kinds of damage. This goose truly was an affront to science.

As if sensing her annoyance, the goose laughed at her. "Pathetic. Repukken!"

Lisa easily dodged the attack by simply sidestepping out of the way. She needed to think outside of the box for this one. She took out her taser again and let out a yell as she charged towards the goose. The goose prepared to block her attack again except once Lisa had gotten up close, she instead placed some kind of sticker on its wing instead before backing off. When the goose stopped blocking, Lisa remote activated the sticker as the goose became paralysed. The goose could only let out some angry honks as Lisa had completely restrained it.

Lisa wiped her forehead in relief. "As irritating as this was, it appears that brains defeat brawn once again."

And then to Lisa's complete surprise, the goose was suddenly blown up.

As Lisa stared in shock at the goose's remains, Rick then ran over to her. "Lisa! You okay?" Once it was clear that she was alright, Rick couldn't help but smile. "God, you have no idea how happy I was to finally do that. I am so fucking glad that goose is dead."

Lisa frowned. "That seemed rather unnecessary. I had it restrained."

"Look, you don't understand, Lisa. I had to kill it. I-I-It just had to die. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't make sure it wasn't alive. Anyway, I'm gonna make sure your others sisters are okay. Stay safe!"

Lisa watched as Rick flew off with his rocket shoes. Once he left, she said. "Because your pride wouldn't allow it to live. Would it?"

...

Crocubot was surrounded by quite a bit of smoke due to some smoke bombs that Luan had set off. Upon detecting what looked like Luan's silhouette within the fog, he fired a laser at it. Unfortunately for him, it was just a cardboard cutout replica of Luan. "What?" He then found himself slugged in the face by an extendable boxing glove.

As the smoke cleared up, Crocobot could now see Luan. "Hey, tell you what, I'll surrender if you take that thing off of your neck. Whaddya say? Deal?" Luan grinned.

Crocubot glared at Luan in response. However, as he was about to fire another laser at her, he was suddenly attacked by two black magic orbs.

Luan looked over in surprise to see Maggie, who was now wearing a gothic dress again. "No, I don't know how this happened." Maggie answered preemptively.

Luan started to look worried. "W-Wait, I don't want you to-"

"Don't worry, I called someone else for help too. He should be here soon."

"Is it Lincler?"

"Yeah, it's Lincler."

"Did you tell him he was brainwashed?"

"...yeah."

Luan let out a sigh of relief. "Well thank goodness for that."

Crocubot let out some kind of metalic roar he ran towards Maggie, gnashing his teeth as he looked he was about to bite her. "Maggie, look out!" Before he could get to Maggie, he was hit by the extendable boxing gloves again. He turned his attention back to Luan, only to get hit by Maggie's magic orbs again. His eyes darted between the two until a third enemy entered the fray as he soon found himself tackled to the floor by Lincler.

With a roar, Lincler used his bare hands to rip the device off of Crocubot's neck. Crocubot stared into space for a brief moment as he regained control of his self. "Well...this is embarrassing." Once it became clear that Crocubot was no longer brainwashed, Lincler got off of him.

Luan whistled. "Nice call, Mags."

"I'm just glad you weren't hurt." Maggie admitted. She then noticed that Luan was staring at her, her face slightly red. "What's up?"

Luan was smiling awkwardly. "Oh you know, just... you look really pretty in that dress is all."

"Oh..." Maggie looked away with a small blush on her face. "...thanks."

Lincler suddenly felt very awkward. "I'm just...going to leave now."

...

Mr. Needful threw a fireball towards Lola which she deflected back at him with her cape. Mr. Needful simply absorbed the fireball before teleporting away. Upon hearing fire behind her, Lola turned around to face Mr. Needful, only for him to backhand her, sending her to her knees. "Do you honestly think you're fooling anyone?" He asked before kicking her in the gut, causing her to cry out in pain. "That curse I gave you revealed to the world who you truly are. A horrible little demon child!" He kicked her again. There were tears in her eyes as she stared up at him. "Your siblings feared you! If anyone got in the way of what you wanted, you wouldn't spare them your wrath." He tried to kick her again, only for Lola to try and use her cape to blind him. "Grr!" He grunted. It only worked for a moment but it gave Lola an opportunity to crawl away. He chuckled maliciously. "The whole world knows what kind of monster you are. Why even try to deny it?"

"I...I'm not a meanie!" Lola sobbed.

Mr. Needful cackled. "Come now. You really don't believe that's true, do you?"

Lola wondered if it was. She'd been wondering this ever since her family silently admitted that they got scared of her whenever she got angry. Was it true? Was she nothing more than a horrible child?

She then remembered some things. She remembered what Lincoln said to her. About how she wasn't as bad as she thought she was. About how she was only a six year old.

She remembered her friends. How much they cared for her and worried about her after her dance performance.

But most of all, she remembered something Rick and Lori once said to her. Something very important. Something that filled her with righteous fury.

If Mr. Needful wanted her to be a demon so badly then she may as well give him what he wants.

"W-What's this?" Mr. Needful asked as Lola had transformed into her demonic form again. He then tried to grin, even as he took a nervous step back. "See? Can't deny it now, can you?" Lola responded by slashing his face with her claws. "GAH!"

"Shut up!" Lola bellowed. "I don't care what you think! So what if people think I'm bad? My family and my friends still like me! Besides, why should I care what you think? You're only picking on me because you're too scared to face my grandpa!"

Mr. Needful growled with fury as Lola had touched a nerve. "You little brat!"

Before he could attack back however, he was suddenly shot in the forehead with a laser. He fell to the ground, dead.

Lola gave Mr. Needful's body a disturbed look as Rick ran up to her. "Lola! Jesus, I thought I fixed that curse. Don't worry, once this is all over, I'll have it fixed for good."

Lola proceeded to try and ignore the body as she shook her head while returning back to normal. "It's okay. I don't mind it."

This took Rick by surprise. "Really? You're cool with this?"

"You remember what Lori said to me? About how anger isn't a bad thing and that I should control it?"

"Uhh..." Rick narrowed his eyes as he tried to recall this. "Maybe?"

"Well maybe this curse isn't so bad." Lola put on a devious grin. "I bet it could really useful."

Rick raised an eyebrow. "Ok, well, good luck with that then." He backed off. "I'm, uh...just gonna make sure your other sisters are good." He then took off.

...

"Ah!" Leni yelped as she fell back into a clothes rack.

"Leni!" Fiona and Miguel both cried out in concern.

"You're only wasting both of our time." Risotto stated. "Your grandfather isn't worth defending. It's his fault my kingdom was usurped!"

"Y-Your kingdom was turned into soup?" Leni asked nervously.

Risotto gave Leni an annoyed look. "You're not very bright are you? I'll explain this to you simply then. We were in a war. Your father sold advanced weapons to our enemies causing us to lose. Understand why I want him dead now?"

Leni realised she really needed to rack her brain for this one. She really did not want to fight this guy. Maybe she could talk him out of it. "So like, he didn't start the war or fight in it?"

"He may as well have gotten involved. It was his actions that caused me to lose everything. If you're trying to talk me out of this, it won't work. Rick is a scourge on this universe. It would be better off without him!"

"He's not all bad! He stopped selling weapons now!"

"And that changes the past?"

"He's done good things too! Like take down that space...federal...thing..." Leni then scowled at Risotto. "The ones you're working with now!"

Risotto faltered. "I...confess that the Federation doesn't hold much of a moral high ground. But this alliance is simply a means to an end. That end being revenge."

"But, like, you say grandpa Rick's bad but how is this any better? Also, the...Federation took over a bunch of ground! High and low!"

Risotto growled in annoyance. "Enough! This insipid conversation won't get you anywhere!"

It looked like Risotto was about to charge at her again. A rarity for it to happen twice in one day, Leni had another idea. As he charged, she wrapped her ribbons around his foot, causing him to trip up. He dropped his shield which he then fell on top of. "Rrgh!" While he was down, Leni wrapped her ribbon around his body, restraining him.

"I know Rick did a bad thing but hurting others isn't going to fix it." Leni continued. "I know he's not perfect but he doesn't deserve to die."

"So what, I'm supposed to just forgive and forget?!" Risotto shouted, having lost his cool. "After how he ruined everything? What did I ever do to him?!"

"What did we ever do to you?!" Leni shot back.

This gave Risotto pause as he now found himself reevaluating what he was doing. Upon doing so, he realised just how much he had fallen. In his quest for vengeance, he had allied himself not only with questionable people but also a corrupt government bent on conquest. Now here he was, terrorising teenagers at a clothes store. He truly was no better than Rick. "Perhaps you are correct." He confessed. "I've been so consumed by thoughts of vengeance, I never stepped back and considered my own actions. My mistakes and failures. I sought to make a legacy built upon the foundation of blood. I never considered to build one from compromise."

Leni only understood about half of what he said. "I'm confused. Does this mean you don't want to fight any more?"

Risotto sighed. "Yes, I surrender. You have my word."

Leni clapped her hands with joy. "Yay!"

...

"Get back here, you little bitch!" Krombopulos Amy shouted as she ran through the streets, dodging and weaving past both Meeseeks and gromflomites until she followed Lana into the Royal Woods zoo.

To her annoyance, Krombopulos Amy had lost sight of her target. She looked around, unsure of what kind of place Lana had led her to. If she were to guess, it seemed to be some kind of prison. But if that were so then why were all the cages empty?

Suddenly, a group of monkeys came out of hiding and ran towards her. Before she had any time to react, they were all climbing all over her. "Ah! Hey! Get off me!" Then as quick as they arrived, they left. "What the?"

She then heard a growling sound. She looked around and realised that she was surrounded by lions and tigers, all slowly approaching her. She reached for a weapon, only for her eyes to widen in horror as she realised that those other creatures had stolen all of her weapons and gadgets. She was completely helpless.

"Hey."

Krombopulos Amy looked up to the top of one of the cages. Lana stood atop it, staring down at her with a cold look in her eyes. Krombopulos Amy then realised that Lana had led her into a trap. "Wait, please!" She pleaded.

"This is what you get for being a bad guy!" Lana then snapped her fingers.

"NO!" The lions and tigers and tigers lunged at her.

However, before they could attack, she was saved just in time by Lincoln, who flew in and carried her off. Krombopulos Amy stared at Lincoln in shock. "You...saved me?"

"Of course I did." Lincoln responded. He carried her out of the zoo before letting her down.

"I don't understand. Why?"

"It was the right thing to do." Lincoln answered before looking apologetic. "Listen. I'm so sorry about what happened to your husband. We thought we were just trying to do the right thing. We thought we were trying to save someone."

Krombopulos Amy scowled. "Do you really think saying sorry is going to bring him back?!"

"Amy!" Rick shouted as he ran over to her and Lincoln. "Look, before you do anything rash, just listen to me. Do you think killing a couple kids is going to make you feel better? Michael was a professional killer who was going to inevitably die the same way he lived. And he did, Amy. He died doing what he loved. Could you honestly imagine a better death for him?"

"I-I..." Krombopulos Amy couldn't deny that Rick may be right, as much as she didn't want to.

Rick continued. "Nothing matters in this universe, Amy. B-But for a moment, you got to love in a way that made two lives worth living. D-Don't sully that rare pearl in this filthy clam of a universe, or your memory of Michael with hate and ugliness. M-Michael wouldn't want that."

Krombopulos Amy was now trembling with tears in her eyes. "B-But he loved killing. H-He loved it so much."

"Yeah, HE loved killing. But you don't, Amy. You loved Michael."

At this, Krombopulos Amy let it all out as she cried into Rick's chest. "I-I just miss him so bad, Rick. I just...

Rick comforted her. "I know. I do too."

At that moment, Lana ran out of the zoo. She stared in shock at the sight before her. "What are you guys doing?!"

Lincoln then turned to Lana. She couldn't help but flinch at the angry look he was giving her. "Lana, what the heck were you thinking?! That was WAY too far!"

"B-But...I just..." Lana stammered.

"You shouldn't have tried to kill her. Also, you need to get those animals back in their cages before they hurt someone. Got it?"

Lana couldn't help but look downcast. "Fine." However, as she walked back into the zoo, she couldn't help but mutter to herself. "I don't get it..."

Lincoln sighed. At some point, he needed to have a serious discussion with her about this. He just didn't know how he should approach her about it.

...

Lori ran through the streets, punching out any gromflomite she came across. That was until she found herself surrounded by a group of them, all aiming their guns at her. "Freeze!"

"Get down!"

"On the ground!"

"Everybody, shut up! You're all saying different shit." Tammy emerged from the group of gromflomites, aiming her own gun at Lori. Lori noticed that the back of her neck was now burned. She opened her mouth. "Say anything and you die. I know how your power works." Lori quickly shut her mouth. Tammy's expression softened. "I'm sorry things had to be this way, Lori. If it's any consolation, the universe will be a much better place once Rick is gone."

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Tammy found herself getting punched in the face by none other than Carol. "Carol!" Both she and Lori exclaimed. Before the gromflomites could attack Carol in retaliation, they found themselves under attack as the Defiance had snuck up on them.

Carol, now in her superpowered form, glared at Tammy. "You backstabbing bitch!" She punched Tammy again, sending her to the floor. "You invited me to your fake wedding just to try and kill me?! Why?!"

Tammy spat out some blood. "I had no choice! When you asked about it, I had no choice but to invite you. If I didn't, it could've jeopardised the mission by causing suspicion. I didn't want to kill you but I wasn't going to risk the mission over you."

Carol clearly wasn't happy with this answer as she readied another punch. This time though, Tammy readied her gun to fire back, only for Lori to kick it aside.

It slid across the road where it stopped at Rick's feet. Tammy gasped as her eyes widened. "Well, well." Rick said as he picked up the gun. "Gotta admit, smart of you to attack Earth when I wasn't around. But you really underestimated me."

Tammy began breathing heavily, trying to stop herself from having a panic attack. She looked around, realising she was surrounded by enemies. This couldn't be happening. All of her plans were falling apart. She was so sure she was prepared for this. She didn't heed President Lincoln's warnings enough. Now the Federation was doomed and it was all because of her.

But this couldn't be it. She couldn't let Rick get away with this. This wasn't over yet. As long as she didn't die. As Rick was monologuing, she reached for her portal gun.

"Unfortunately, your first mistake was fucking with me to begin with. Your second mistake was-hey, wait!" Rick attempted to fire at Tammy but it was too late as she had managed to escape through a portal. "God fucking damn it! I should've just said something short and snappy like 'you made me go to a wedding'. That would've been better. No wait, 'you killed my best friend' would've been better. You know what? No more long speeches. I-I probably just sound like a self righteous asshole most of the time anyway. Just short and to the point from now on. No more speeches. After this one that is."

"Carol, are you okay?" Lori asked.

"I'm fine. I think." Carol said as she turned back to normal. Unlike Lynn, she didn't seem tired at all. "Least I know the kind of person Tammy really is now. That's the last time I ever think about her."

"Yeah..." Lori said, not exactly feeling the same. Especially knowing that Tammy was still out there.

"Don't worry about her, Lori." Rick assured her. "There's not much she'll be able to do anyway once the Federation's finished. Speaking of which..." Rick looked at the Federation mothership before sighing. "Guess we're gonna have to go do a fucking piece of shit 'Star Wars'."

It was that moment that Luna ran up to the group. "Dudes! Where've you guys been?" Her eyes then widened upon noticing Wilbur. "Principal Huggins?!"

Carol also gave Wilbur a surprised look. "Oh wow, that is Principal Huggins! I didn't even recognise him!"

"Yeah, yeah, a lot's happened lately, I'll explain after we deal with the giant mothership in the sky. You wanna help me take out the Federation for good?" Rick asked Luna.

Luna had a look of determination. "After what they did to Birdperson? Sure. I'm in."

"Let me come as well." Wilbur said.

"Me too." Lori added before turning to Carol. "You stay safe, ok?"

"Got it." Carol replied before running off, though she was hoping she would get an explanation of her powers later.

...

Rick, Luna, Lori and Wilbur were in Rick's cruiser as it flew out to space where the smaller ships surrounding the mothership began firing at them. Though, they couldn't do anything to the force field that Rick put up. Rick fired off a bunch of mini portals before firing lasers into them, killing the pilots of all of the ships, which all ended up crashing into each other and exploding.

Rick then flew his cruiser towards an opening in the mothership that three gromflomites were guarding. "Hey, you are not cleared to land. We will open fire." One of them warned Rick as he aimed his gun at the cruiser.

"Hold your ground, men. You'll be heroes." Another one said before all three were squashed by Rick's cruiser landing.

...

The four came across a large door that Luna simply blasted open with her guitar. "Subtle." Rick remarked. "Ok, this place is pretty big so let's split up into two teams, find the control room and shut this place down. Luna, you're with me." Luna nodded.

"Wait, why didn't we just blow this place up from Earth?" Lori asked.

"With how close this ship is to Earth, doing that might cause a lot of debris to fall down there." Wilbur deduced. "Who knows how much damage that may cause."

Rick grinned. "Yep, that's totally the reason and not because I completely forgot that was an option."

...

After the team split into two, Rick and Luna soon found themselves in a very large room that neither could really deduce the purpose of. Everything started to glow red. "Oh, I do not like the looks of this giant fight chamber." Rick remarked.

There was a large black container that resembled an egg on what looked like black, metallic branches. The door to it opened up as Phoenixperson stepped out of it before looking down at Rick and Luna. Luna's mouth was agape with shock. "Birdperson?! You're alive?"

"It is now Phoenixperson." Phoenixperson responded.

"You're working for them? What did they do to you, BP?" Rick asked.

"It is now PP. Where is Tammy?"

"She, uh..." Rick thought about what to answer. "She's dead. Does that mean you're free from her?" He asked, hopeful.

Phoenixperson stared at Rick blankly for a moment. The sound of something glitching could be heard. "I loved her."

"Dude, snap out of it! She's brainwashed you!" Luna pleaded.

"Yeah, for how long now?" Rick couldn't help but snark. "At this point, he might as well be called Crazy Pussy Whipped Person."

Phoenixperson let out a screech and flew up, firing lasers from his wings. "Ah!" Both Rick and Luna jumped in opposite directions to avoid the attack.

Rick wiped some blood off from his chest as one of the shots hit him before using his rocket shoes to fly towards Phoenixperson and punch him in the face. As Phoenixperson fell to the ground, Rick landed on top of him to deliver another punch. However, Phoenixperson's nose turned into a drill which he used to drill into Rick's chest to attack his heart. Luckily, his heart encased itself in a metal shell once it detected a threat.

Luna then used her guitar to blast Phoenixperson off of Rick. Phoenixperson quickly recovered in the air before firing lasers at her. "Oh crap!" She strummed her guitar again, deflecting the lasers into random directions. Phoenixperson easily avoided the ones that went his way.

He was then tackled in the air by Rick, who slammed him into a wall. "It's funny. I always wondered who would win if we ever fought."

"Then you were always a bad friend." Phoenixperson replied before grabbing Rick's shoulders and reversing their positions. He then grabbed Rick's head and grinded it against the wall as he flew across the room.

"Rick!" Luna shouted out.

...

Lori and Wilbur walked through the hallways of the mothership before they ran into a winged gromflomite with a gun. Both of them put their hands in the air though Wilbur tossed a grenade at the gromflomite as he did it. The gromflomite let out a short scream before the grenade blew him up. "My elementary school self would literally have never believed this would've ever happened." Lori remarked.

Wilbur let out a chuckle. "I never would have believed I'd ever be doing this myself!"

The two then came across the control room, being guarded by two gromflomites, who were in the middle of a conversation. "Wonder when we'll get to fire off this giant laser. Seems kind of a waste if we don't fire it, right?"

"Not until President Tammy gives the orders." The other gromflomite responded.

"Stop." Lori shouted, causing the two gromflomites to freeze. She and Wilbur then ran in.

After they both took out the guards, Wilbur began typing something into the computer. "There we go. In about ten minutes, this ship will fly off into space before self destructing. That should give us enough time to find the others and get out of here."

"We'd better find them quick then." Lori responded.

...

Luna fired a blast of energy at Phoenixperson, causing him to drop Rick onto the ground. Phoenixperson responded by opening his mouth to fire a giant laser at Luna. Luna fired back her own purple laser which was powered by continually strumming at her guitar. The two lasers clashed for a moment before Rick flew up as he delivered a dive kick onto Phoenixperson, sending them both towards the floor. Phoenixperson reversed this and slammed Rick's head to the floor. Rick then let out a burst of energy, short circuiting Phoenixperson for a moment as he let out a screech.

Rick wasn't looking so good as his head and chest were covered in blood. As Phoenixperson short circuited for a moment, Rick took the opportunity to make a forcefield around himself and Luna. "Luna, turn your guitar up to the max volume. It should be able to take him down."

"Uh, ok." Luna then turned up the volume on the guitar's built in amp while Phoenixperson fired lasers at the forcefield. Once it was at max, she strummed the guitar. While the high frequency didn't affect Luna at all, it caused Rick to scream in pain as he covered his ears while Phoenixperson began glitching and short circuiting as he fell to the floor. Luna took this opportunity to run over to Phoenixperson. Luckily, there was a convenient on and off switch on his back. Luna simply turned Phoenixperson off as he shut down. Luna fell to her knees and let out a sigh of relief.

...

After the two groups reunited, the four escaped the Federation mothership, along with Phoenixperson's body, before it warp speeded away to blow up somewhere far away from Earth. As this was happening, the U.S. military had finally arrived in Royal Woods as the remaining gromflomites were either killed or arrested. The battle was finally finished. Once it was clear that it was, all of the Meeseeks collectively disappeared. Their job now done.

While Lynn and Birddaughter were still upstairs, Rick and the Loud siblings were in the garage as Rick had treated his injuries while the siblings were back in their regular outfits. Rick grinned. "Well, at least we can say for sure that the Galactic Federation are gone for good this time. Am I right, kids?"

The Loud siblings all gave Rick a tired look in response. They were all completely physically and mentally exhausted from what they had just gone through. "Sure, Rick. Whatever you say." Lori said apathetically. As if she couldn't be bothered arguing any more.

Rick's smile disappeared as the Loud siblings all shambled out of the garage.

I know you tried

I know you tried your best

However, Lisa decided to stay behind. "Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you claim that you were going to track Tammy down after the incident with Lynn?"

Rick gave Lisa a confused look. "Uh...yeah?"

And now is time to put this all to rest

"And yet it seemed like you failed to do so. Was she that elusive? Though considering your track record with Lynn, I'm beginning to suspect that you're just bad at tracking people down."

"Hey, I can track people down just fine!" An offended Rick argued.

Minutes pass and those days seem long ago

Oh, oh

"Really? Then I suppose the issue was you didn't care enough to do it. Did you? What was it? Did you find the idea of it boring? Was it too much work for you?" Rick struggled to answer this. Lisa then made her way out of the garage though not before looking back at Rick one more time. "You never change. Do you, Rick?"

A distant voice

One that I used to know

After Lisa left Rick let out a long sigh before taking a seat. He couldn't deny what Lisa had said. If he had taken more action and actually tracked down Tammy, he could've prevented this whole incident from happening. "God, I fucking suck." Rick bemoaned to himself.

There's a force and it's tryin' to drag me down

Down...

He then got out a remote and pressed a button. "At least I've got you back." The shelves turned around, revealing Birdperson's body, or what was left of it at least as all the dangerous weaponry had been removed, leaving just his head, chest and an arm. "Looks like it's just you and me, buddy." Rick pressed a button on the panel Birdperson was attached to, turning him on. He immediately began screeching and trying to claw at Rick before Rick turned him back off. "Ok, all right, we'll give you a little more time." Rick pressed the button on his remote, hiding him again. He decided he should probably just go to bed. With everything that had happened today, there was going to be a lot of shit to deal with tomorrow.

If you go then I'm goin' with you now

...

Tammy was on her knees, hunched over as she breathed heavily. She was still in pain from the burns and the punches she suffered. In front of her was President Lincoln, who had his back to her. "I'll admit. The way you dealt with Rick early on was pretty clever."

Don't look back

"Unfortunately, you failed to account for his grandchildren and what he might've done to help them protect themselves. You were sloppy there."

Nothin' left to see

Just leave the shadows in the past

"Still, I'll give you credit. At least you're still alive. That's more than I can say for most Tammys." He turned to her with a sinister smirk. "Don't worry. Your Federation might be gone but I'll find a use for you."

If I let it go

Can I shake this feelin'?

Oh oh oh

...

Tammy was led to her new room as she would now be living in the citadel. Her mouth went agape as she saw her room. It looked exactly like her home when she lived on Earth. She wasn't sure if President Lincoln did this to accommodate her or to mock her.

Just like that

Tomorrow's one day that I'm never getting back

She couldn't hold it in anymore. Once she was left alone, she dropped to her knees and screamed as she began punching the floor.

I can feel you, though

Wake me from this dreamin'
