Thunder Hero: Baraquiel 8

"Again?" Shoto asked as he put Izuku onto the mat. Izuku, sat up and readied himself again and Todoroki sent a pulse of ice towards the green-haired boy. Izuku, saw it coming and launched a front kick at it; breaking it. The exercise was simple, it was a borderline torturous training exercise designed to toughen Midoriya Izuku and develop for him a fighting style that benefited his skinny form.

That fighting form happened to be more knee, kick and stomp based with his upper-body strength and arms more situated for blocks, grapples and painful subduing holds. It hadn't taken long into a mixed regime of self-defence conducted by Aizawa-sensei and Potter-sensei to swiftly break Midoriya of the idea of using All-Might's fighting style.

(Flashback)

"Why shouldn't I use All-Might as a role model?" Izuku had asked in a breather, of one of his intense training sessions with the Underground Hero.

"Midoriya, you've noticed how different heroes fight…Now, have you seen All Might's form and yours side by side?"

"I'm short, he's tall; he's bulky and I'm skinny, I don't quite get it."

Aizawa sighed deeply. He liked Midoriya, he really did. The boy had seen some improvements in his costume that he hadn't, in particular his goggles; whilst sound tactically they wouldn't help if someone possessed a quirk to slide through the thin protected bits of plastic and they didn't protect his eyes from gases. "I want you to hit the dummy with your arm and then with your leg."

Midoriya obliged and headed over to a metallic looking dummy. Baraquiel looked on, Baraquiel was close enough to read a paltry '75' recorded by Izuku's fist. But then when the kick connected it read '104'. "See, your kicks are naturally stronger than your arms…" Aizawa explained.

Midoriya's eyes widened "Since I didn't do any martial arts or anything to build a fighting style around my arms; it's much easier to develop something based on my natural strength and body type?"

Aizawa gave the boy one of his trademark grins "Understand now?" Midoriya nodded, eyes gleaming with excitement and happiness. He assumed his stance and he began again.

(End Flashback)

"End!" Harry called and the two boys stopped. There was a blast of heat and the frostbite and hypothermia, his youngest brother-in-law was about to be hindered by vanished.

Shoto was most definitely not fond of using his fire. That was fine in Harry's opinion; Todoroki Enji was an utter bastard for forcing Rei into that despicable marriage. It wasn't all bad as that marriage gave him his darling wife.

Izuku on the other hand, he was panting. His legs were red, pale and bruised; in the space of a month the progress had been remarkable. Midoriya was having a UA High School day to finish his Middle School Education with Hero Course style training afterwards. Inko Midoriya, had been offered the chance to move onto the school grounds to operate as UA's 'Attorney, Legal Advisor and other Legal Specialities Administrator'; in other words a job as a barrister and solicitor. Although, Harry and Nezu had slipped in a clause, UA would technically pay Inko's wage but in reality Inko was under the scrutiny of Andromeda Tonks.

If Andromeda liked what Inko brought to the table, Mother Midoriya would transfer fully into 'Thunderstruck Agency' working on the legal side of the law; when it came to sending villains to trial. Harry grinned, Izuku Midoriya…was going to change the world, now all he needed was a strong person to watch his back.

"Boys, both of you, shower. Soba and Katsudon are ready." Came the soft voice of Fuyumi.

Both young aspiring heroes had quickly learnt there were two people you didn't want angry at you; whilst on UA property. They were Recovery Girl and Todoroki-Potter Fuyumi. The first because it's Recovery Girl and the second one because Fuyumi could be scary. Shoto, knew that his sister could be extremely cold towards people to the point where her own ice trumped his own. "You, heard the lady."

As the boys headed into the apartment, Harry took a short ambling walk over towards a skinny, more emaciated, blonde with porcupine like hair and two drooping bangs "Can I help you friend?"

The man yelped, spat out blood and almost fell over. Harry, had always been naturally fast but since his quirk activated and nearly destroyed his residence (although he had thoroughly trashed his uncles car, who knew fuel tanks and lightning could be so…combustive). "Er…er, not exactly. Sorry, where are my manners, my name is Yagi Toshinori."

Harry's eyes glittered "It's a pleasure to meet you, Yagi Toshinori, All Might." Toshinori's eyes widened and hardened.

"Peace, I come in the name of relative peace. I have to ask All-Might; do you have business on UA Grounds? If so, who with and would you mind accompanying me to verify that? Also, if not…care to explain why you're scouting out my home; again I'm going to need verification."

Toshinori sighed "I have business here. I had been…"

"In a meeting with me, the Principle!" Announced Nezu as he jumped up onto Harry's shoulder.

Harry's muscled slackened "That…satisfies the majority of my questions. I take it All Might is here to teach for the year? Or is that some sort of cover as he looks for a successor?"

Nezu stiffened, as did All Might "How…did you come to this conclusion?"

Harry chuckled "Gentlemen…how about we sweep this under the rug and I invite you for Soba and Katsudon as an apology for this…impolite and confrontational conversation. My reasons will be self-explanatory."

Nezu grinned "To try your beloved wife's cooking is something, I cannot afford to pass up. Especially; as her and your connections are instrumental in my future ideas."

Toshinori grinned slightly, he remembered the young Midoriya "I, want to see young Midoriya's face. He's the only one outside of you, the Principle and three other people I can count as friends who know the truth."

Harry grinned "I, do appreciate a well-executed practical gag. All Might, be warned, my brother-in-law and Midoriya are…reverential All Might fans."

"And you're not?"

"Yagi-san, I can't think of a Hero that aspiring heroes wanted to be compared to. Unfortunately, for me, I can't see myself being compared to you. The amount of people you've saved, is probably the amount of people I've turned to a corpse. Granted they were villains trying to kill me and I wasn't even eighteen. I've resigned myself to being a hero with a reputation for killing villains."

Yagi looked at the young man in front of him "Surely…"

"Some Villains are just to dangerous to apprehend. All Might; I know…As does Endeavour. It's not hard to put the pieces together, we need to know what we're against; we're about to send young adults out into a storm. We need to know just what sort of climate we're throwing ourselves into."

Toshinori nodded "Shall we discuss this after dinner?"

Dinner was to everyone who sat down; shocked stares and stammers from both teens, and the soft babbling of babies. Yagi couldn't help but feel happiness for the Thunder Hero; he'd managed to get everything he could want, it reminded him of the Zipline Hero: Lariat.

Lariat, he'd managed to have a family but due to his status of bearer of One For All, he'd had to leave them all behind. Yagi wasn't sure if there were any of Lariat's bloodline left, here he was…needing to transfer OFA to a successor. Eventually, Midoriya left with Todoroki to play videogames, the adults were left alone. Harry turned to Yagi "I'll start with what I know." With that he explained his theory that All Might had met his match in a hero five years ago; leaving the Number One hero in this emaciated state.

"You need a successor. You're holding onto your remaining power until you inevitably throwdown with the man who killed your master."

Yagi nodded "And you're scouting Midoriya Izuku as a potential successor?"

"I am. He inspired me to assist him in dealing with…"

"Sludge Monster, I know. I was fifteen minutes out; I watched the live fallout. Mountain Lady, Death Grip and Wood God were completely out of line praising that blonde Pomeranian and bashing Midoriya. People actually vote for them?" Harry let out a sigh.

"You jealous?"

"Not really. I'm just tired of seeing idiots poorly using their abilities and bitching about bad quirk matchups. You, All Might, require someone with a nullification and or absorption quirk and you're fucked…unless you can hit the little shit-nugget at close Mach speed then you're chancing that they're gonna die. If Kamui woods was able to make a box or a battering ram; Pomeranian would have been freed. There's no such thing as a bad matchup, yes, I will agree and admit that there are quirks that make your quirk a hindrance. A pro-hero needs to be able to work around that, a RANKED Hero needs to go beyond 'working around' quirk disadvantages."

"Would you consider yourself a ranked hero?" Nezu asked.

"I've got the skill, the training and the power to definitely be recognized as a high-ranking hero; unfortunately, I've told the HSPC to go fuck themselves a few too many times… So, I doubt, I'd be welcomed. Besides my agency is just me and my legal staff. Then there are my beliefs that I refuse to shift on. I don't know what makes a hero, I think I know what does but if being a hero means shifting on my beliefs and stances then I'd rather watch the hero profession burn to the ground."

"Not assist in burning it to the ground?" Fuyumi asked, a grin on her face.

"Nope, burning it myself means I get locked up. If I get locked up, I can't be around for Nozomi, Hiro, Ted and You."

"At least you've got your priorities."

"I've always got my priorities, just not the means…all the time. Anyway, Midoriya isn't ready…besides I've got plans for Midoriya, plans, Yanagi that you making him your successor will scupper. Heroes only bond with 80% of the worlds population; leaving 20% out in the cold. I hope to make Midoriya into a hero that the other 20% can turn to and go 'I can do that. It'll be hard, but I can do it'."

Toshinori's eyes widened "You want to make Midoriya Izuku, a quirkless hero? You realise that's a bad idea."

"So is Britain, for brainwashing, conditioning and experimenting on me to become the British version of you. They turned me into a weapon, then what do you expect would happen if the weapon looked at its wielders and realised 'hang on, the people I'm arresting aren't the problem…you…the establishment are.'"

"They didn't…You didn't…" Trailed the Number One Hero.

"They did and I did. In fact, if any of them come here I'm returning them in body-bags. Although, I hope Squad Six comes over here."

"These are the no-brains all power people you worked with?" Fuyumi asked.

Harry nodded "We're assholes, morons, idiots to the highest degree and because we're so stupid we're durable to the point of absurdity…but we're the best at what we do, and that's a crisis. We'll probably burn a few cities to the ground in our machinations but we'd put our boot down."

Nezu smiled at his youngest member of staff "I shall keep that in mind. I fear, you might be right." Then the Chimera turned to Toshinori.

"You, rest and conserve your strength…Trust in UA, to find your replacement."

Toshinori nodded "I trust you and Nighteye's judgement." The pair bowed, to Fuyumi and Harry showed them out.

"Harry…try not to break young Midoriya. Togata-kun…explained some of your training methods…My masters friend, would be envious of them."

Harry smiled at the Number One Hero "He wanted training to hone his quirk, once I figured it out…I adapted my training plan to accommodate him. It's a watered down style from the style I was taught, and Togata-kun received the privilege of a personalised training manual."

"You're making him do 100 Push Ups, 100 Sit Ups, 100 Squats and a 10KM Run; every day."

"I supply him protein…Not my fault he said 'he wanted to be the best' and to 'be able to put a smile on peoples faces'. So I'm playing to what I know…Besides, he's not complaining." Nezu and Yagi both nodded at that, before they headed into the evening.

Harry turned to the table and cleared the table, then washed up as Fuyumi slumped on to the couch; turning on the tv. Harry finished washing up, before climbing over the back and wrapping himself to Fuyumi's back. His hands wrapping around her waist. The kids were asleep, the two teens had head-sets in and playing videogames.

Harry had no problem in indulging Shoto. In fact, he'd be the doting father but also the encouraging one. If there was one thing that Harry wanted to be remembered for it was for his children to remember him, even if he was a bad father he wanted to be remembered and accepted.

Midoriya had nine months, nine months to improve and show that he was worthy of being on the Hero Course. Harry chuckled as the family of four, went onto Netflix and began watching Fate. "You think they'll be able to do it?" Fuyumi asked.

"They'll be fine."
