Thunder Hero: Baraquiel 15

Everything went white

Bakugo Katsuki cackled, as he pulled the pin on his Blaster-Gauntlet. He'd been told repeatedly that his quirk was the most powerful quirk, his shitty teachers had ever seen. He wasn't dumb; he could see that his teachers were using him as a meal ticket to the top.

The other thing they had allowed him to do; casually assert his dominance over anyone he deemed beneath him. In this case everyone, and everyone else was dominant over Deku.

Nothing else mattered apart from showing Deku, he didn't belong at UA and no-one was going to prove him wrong.

As his explosion whited out everything in front of him and temporarily deafened him; he was unprepared to see Baraquiel standing in front of him. His jaw dropped, his Gauntlets were meant to be unstoppable!

"Heroes and Villains fail the exercise. All four of you back to the viewing room for a public dressing down." Baraquiel growled.

"You can't do that! I know my rights, you can't do this to me! You have no right to dismiss me! I AM THE STRONGEST STUDENT YOU HAVE!"

"Katsuki-can, shut your bloody mouth. I have half the mind to expel you, then have you on trial for hate crimes, Quirk Assisted Actual and Threatened Bodily Harm, Death Threats, Witness to Grievous Bodily Harm. Do you want me to even list the sixty witnessed illegal quirk usage. Yes, Katsuki-chan, I do know what you said to Midoriya at your Middle School; something I've heard about him in the street." What rattled the exceptionally irritable teen was how nonchalant and conversational his no-named none recorded Teacher was when it came to what he'd done.

The viewing room scattered as Baraquiel entered with the four combatants. "The villains acted irrationally and with ill-consideration of their goals, detonated the bomb under their own actions, which would have dropped the building killing both heroes, villains and civilians. The Heroes could have won this but failed to capitalise on the barely working partnership of the Villains. Thus both teams lose and fail. Next four."

"Sir." Yaoyorozu stated.

"Yes?"

"Yes they both lost but the most effective corpse and the one who should have won would have been Midoriya; apart from our inability to decipher his mumble-storm, I think he won this."

Baraquiel nodded "You make a good point. Anyway next four?"

The next four were Todoroki and Shoji as Heroes, against Ojiro and Hagakure as Villains. Todoroki immediately froze the building "Heroes win, although Todoroki will be fined immensely for potential frostbite and hypothermia on Hagakure oh and Todoroki, reign it in. I was half-tempted to declare it a failure and say the bomb activated."

"You can't…" Began Ashido, provoking Baraquiel's temper.

"I can't what Ashido?"

"Declaring losses and failures on stuff we don't know."

"Heroes never know what you're going up against. I lost three good friends because the Villains came with a kit that neutralised their quirks. I nearly lost my fucking leg to a bouncing betty mine tied to a trip-wire on the sixth floor staircase; where I had been concealed throwing coins at railgun speeds at our invaders. So, yes, Ashido...I can say if Heroes lose when they win; Heroics is a line of work where you're playing for keeps, that keep are your lives and civilians. If you don't like it, the door is right there. I'm being a dick and a hardass so you don't suffer like I did. You'll love to hate me and hate to love me, but you'll be bloody grateful when your heroic debut goes sideways. Next four."

Tokoyami Fumikage and Asui Tsuyu, Heroes vs Kirishima Eijiro and Sero Hanta.

"Heroes win, just about. Nice work Asui with a tongue bind on Kirishima; although really, really risky. Fumikage…tough luck about getting caught by Sero. Also Dark Shadow, well done on getting the bomb. Kirishima, Sero...I trust you know where you went wrong? Nice job. Everyone, that's what I'm talking about for decent examples of Heroic Initiative, you've got us in your ear, use us. Next."

Kaminari Denki and Jiro Kyoka, Heroes vs Yaoyorozu Momo and Mineta Minoru, villains. The viewers watched as All Might had to physically restrain Baraquiel from headbutting the wall "Heroes fail. Villains win." All Might stated "Jiro-shounen, get your partner to Recovery Girl." The Number One turned to the class "Denki was an idiot, unleashing his quirk like that, is Baraquiel-sensei alright?"

Baraquiel sighed "I'll be fine, I'm just...flabbergasted at how impulsive some of you are."

Bakugo for all of the trials had been sulking in the corner. What no-one had noticed thankfully was from Baraquiels position, the lightning hero could zap the explosive teen with jolts of electricity should he act up.

Aoyama Yuga and Ashido Mina, Heroes vs Sato Rikido and Koda Koji "Villains win, nice job villains in running down the clock. Rikido, gotta ask, do you lift?" Baraquiel curiously asked, getting a jaw drop in response. "That's going to be a no. Anyway, homework, I want 4000 words in two essays; one is a report on how you feel your battle exercise went and another on another duo. However, for those who were Heroes; you must analyse another pair who were villains, not the people you went against. You all have my staff email address, should you need to contact me."

"Class dismissed." And with that All Might rushed out of the classroom.

"Bakugo, we have a chat with Aizawa, the Principle and your Parents." Nezu, who had been watching through cameras had already summoned Bakugo's parents.

"Principle Nezu, thank you for inviting us. Now what has my hard-headed brat of a son done now?" Growled Bakugo Mitsuki as her husband sighed.

"Same as always, opened his mouth with some vulgar or ill-thought, only this time it appears someone is in the process of bringing him back to earth, with us as well."

Nezu fought to keep a grin off his face. Mitsuki Masaru was right, Nezu's musings were cut off when there was a sharp knock at the door. "Come in."

"Now Bakugo, are you going to grow up and walk in or do I need to ruin your dignity and carry you in like I do my children? That's what I thought, now hold still, don't start snarling at me; I don't get paid enough to deal temper tantrum teenoddlers." The speaker revealed himself to be a very young man, early twenties and he was carrying her son like a toddler.

Mitsuki had her phone out to take some pictures. "Hero-san, thank you for this opportunity."

"Bakugo-san, you're quickly going to find this discussion very, very painful. I tried to resolve it with your son, but, our discussion wasn't very fruitful and as a result, this is the next step."

Mitsuki and Masaru stiffened, they didn't like the sound of this. The hero removed his mask "Thunder Hero: Baraquiel at your service. I'm a TA for Homeroom Hero Class 1-A which has your son in. I have had Bakugo under my tuition for a week; and quite frankly Ma'am, unless I get some serious answers about your son, I am going to be putting him on serious criminal charges as an adult for his by far the closest thing to an animal in my class. I have students with mutant quirks who are much more pleasantly mannered than him."

"What happened?"

"Today, was Class 1-A's Battle Trial. Battle Trial Classes by name chaotic and can require overnight stays in the medical wing; as per paperwork you'd have been informed. I'd use that as a sounding board on how to do my job effectively. Your son, Iida Tenya, Uraraka Ochako and Midoriya Izuku…" Baraquiel stopped, he'd seen a physical shift in the Matriarch to pause.

"Is, Midoriya okay?"

"My stepson-to-be, is in fine health due to the timely intervention of Baraquiel…Aizawa Shota, Erasure Hero: Eraserhead, I'm 1-A's Homeroom Teacher. Baraquiel, you made this your problem."

"Yes, yes, Senpai. The Janitorial Hero: Baraquiel is on the case."

"Janitor Hero?"

"I'm the hero who either cleans up, or is used to clean, other peoples messes. Anyway, I read your sons psychological report, the one given from Aldera...it is so full of shit and tampered with, if this were a batch of spice, I'd not be selling it. Your son at best, from a weeks supervision has an inferiority-superiority complex, narcissistic tendencies oh and psychopathic, sociopathic and general all out murderous intentions towards Midoriya Izuku." Baraquiel pulled out a tape recording.

"I've recorded the entire battle trial in both audio, visual and audio-visual. I used my post as a hero to gain more information on your son and I came across this, poorly hidden, recording." With that he clicked the first recording.

"If you want to do me favour, you'll take a swandive off the roof and hope for a quirk in your next life, Deku. Don't you dare apply to UA; you quirkless, pathetic loser. I feel sorry for Aunty Inko for having quirkless, quirk-enthusiastic dork for a son."

Mitsuki looked like she wanted to explode "I want to hear the battle trial transcript, Baraquiel. Judging by your face and that jagged grin of yours, you're going to take satisfaction in shattering my illusions around my son."

"Yes and no. Do I want to shatter illusions of parents and their children; no, I'm a new father; I do know my children are going to be doing inherent stupid stunts. Heroes for family members, stupid is in the blood...honestly I'd be happy if they got caught underage drinking and spent a night in the cells. But digression."

The evidence against Katsuki was tremendous. Masaru looked at his son, disappointment evident, "What do we have to do, to keep him in the School? I fear he'd become a vigilante and end up dead if he can't be a hero."

Baraquiel sighed "The one thing your son has that I, applaud is his boneheaded determination to become a hero. He has potential, I'd rather not see that potential squandered." Bakugo perked up.

"Katsuki-chan, UA is prepared to offer you one last chance...a chance to become a hero, otherwise I'm spending my weekend grinding up the General Education students trying to find two worthy candidates as opposed to one." Bakugo gulped, it was no secret who the first student to leave would be.

"Baraquiel speaks truly but bluntly and a little too direct. Your son will undergo mandatory counselling with our Counsellor Inui Ryo, Hound Dog, for the foreseeable future and we'll be meeting you on a bi-monthly basis. You have six months, Bakugo to demonstrate a remarkable improvement. On Top of Counselling, Bakugo you will be recording any and all emotional triggers that might upset you. I also expect you to be civil with ALL of your peers, including Midoriya Izuku." Nezu explained grinning madly.

Baraquiel decided to give the big stick to Nezu's bitter carrot "I don't give a shit if you act like an animal bringing villains down but being a feral beast to your peers, I will put you and your dreams down like a dog with rabies."

Bakugo gulped but he made eye-contact with his Homeroom Teacher "Bakugo Katsuki, do we have a deal?" There was the open hand and in Bakugo's eyes the only lifeline for his dream. Bakugo took it only to find his body lockdown as the electricity rushed through him.

He watched as Baraquiel grinned madly "Sorry about the electricity, not sorry about the deal."

Bakugo wanted to grunt "It's fine. Your assignment is 4000 words, 2000 on my view of the event and 2000 word analysis of another Hero pair. Anyone writing about Electricity and the Heartbeat."

"Denki and Jiro...not that I know. Anyway you have until Monday to do it."

"Baraquiel, we tend for assignments to be done for the next day." Nezu commented.

"They've got enough to do already. It'll give them practise in…" Baraquiel stopped as the familiar opening wail of 'Immigrant Song' began to play. Baraquiel stiffened, Immigrant Song meant, Knowledge Heroine: Athena, better known as Hermione Granger was calling.

"Baraquiel?"

Baraquiel answered his phone and answered it 'Athena, I understand this is very important but I'm in the middle of something…super. Call me in 10minutes.'

"My apologies, my old friend just rang. It's not good news. Nothing requiring Hero advice, just a little bit of a shock."

The meeting was swiftly taken over by Nezu, who promptly dismissed Aizawa and Baraquiel; as the duo headed to the teachers residential area, Baraquiel powered down. "That was...extraordinarily shitty. I don't regret it though."

Aizawa grunted "Remember to send me copies of your evaluations of the Battle Trials."

"I won't. All the best to Inko." With that Harry spun away and headed into his apartment.

Fuyumi, was at the kitchen table, cup of tea next to her as she was finishing up her marking. "Afternoon. How was your day?"

Harry wrapped his arms around hers, trapping her to him and to the chair. He pressed his face into her hair "All the better, for seeing you." Fuyumi watched as her husband loosened his hero costume, pulled out a bottle of pineapple juice, grabbed his laptop and loaded it up.

"Got twenty initial Heroics briefings to type up…Battle Trials."

"And? Something's set you off, I know you Harry, the fact you buried your face into my hair; you don't do that unless something awful happened; so spill."

"Threatened a student with flat out immediate expulsion unless his antics completely change; unfortunately he has a natural countenance of a rabid animal. Thankfully, Hound Dog will be dealing with it. It also doesn't help that Athena's called me."

Fuyumi stilled, she had no idea why but the name of Athena; still filled her with worry "Fuyumi, my love, Athena is like my sister; besides I've got the most amazing woman as my wife in my life. Athena ensured we all came out of our scenarios alive. The fact she's called me, is not good at all."

By now, his in depth analysis were about 25% done. Where Aizawa would have given lengthy, five page analyses on everyone's shortcomings and weaknesses; Harry's were bullet pointed and clearly stated, they were accompanied by titles of books, journals and even media file references. As he finished, immigrant song played again.

'Athena?'
'Baraquiel, Project Troll is back. Eight to Nine feet tall, grey skin, exposed skull.'
Fuyumi watched as her Husband paled 'And? I've not seen anything like that here. If this is a heads up; brilliant, will keep a look-out. If however this is a plee to get me to go home then tough shit.'
'It's not. You know me better than that. But speaking of back here, Malkav, Banshee and Broadside are planning on making a trip to Japan.'
'Myself, Neville, Dean and Seamus teaching kids…'
Hermione couldn't help but let out a giggle 'You, teaching...You're a brilliant one, just not what I'd expected.'
'With how overbearing the political conformity is here, I'm teaching if only to flip off the government. I've already quoted Jefferson at them.' Hermione sighed 'I'm going to be on my way, once I persuade the rest of the team. Stay, bloody safe.' With that she hung up.

Little did they know, how wrong Hermione was going to be.
