Lilianna
I asked Lu to go get Atem so I could thank him for helping to rescue me from those two men. I am still confused as to how I know his name. I'm pretty sure someone said his name before I passed out.
I said it. Through you, apparently.
Kamilah. So, what else do you remember? You know who you are. You know Atem.
It's bits and pieces. When you saw Atem, I remembered the day we met, and how he was so protective of me that day. I started falling for him. He made me feel like a person, not a piece of property. I felt Kamilah's emotions as she told me about that day. I felt the fear-but she did not elaborate and I did not ask- the love, and the sense of security he provided. Before I could ask anything more, Lucy knocked on the door and entered with Atem in tow. Kamilah gasped at the sight of him and I gasped too. He is quite handsome, with a dark, but gentle aura that says "Mess with me or those I care for and I will make you regret it."
"Hello, Lillianna. How are you feeling?" That deep baritone voice that sounds so angelic took me by surprise. It should not belong to a man who could potentially be very dangerous.
That is what I thought too, our first meeting. Kamilah spoke to me.
"I've been better. Ask my family." I gave a small chuckle, then grimaced and Lucy handed me the cup of water Natsu had gotten and was still holding. I took a drink. "I guess my throat is still more sore than I thought. Can Wendy do anything more?" I looked at my siblings. Both of them shook their heads. My shoulders dropped.
"Hey, Wendy healed you as much as she could hon. She even felt bad that she couldn't heal your throat anymore."
"I know, it just really hurts." Then someone knocked on the door.
"Come in." Lucy replied for me. The door opened and revealed Wendy and Porlyusica.
"I got Porlyusica to see if she had a salve or potion I didn't know. Lili, Can she look?" I nodded my head and Porlyuscia walked to my side and started to look at my neck and inside my mouth at my throat.
"Wendy, you did a good job healing her. Go see if Mira can whip up some hot tea. I have a powder that will help and is most potent in hot tea."
"Of course, Grandeeney."
"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" Porlyusica yelled as Wendy bolted out the infirmary door and Lucy, Natsu and I snickered at the comment, but quickly stopped when she glared at us.
"Why is that funny?"
"Because, like you, Porlyusica is not from this world. Grandeeney is her name in her home world, and Wendy's mom's name was Grandeeney. The same person from two different worlds." Lucy explained for Atem, who only looked slightly less confused, and I had to giggle at his face. He Looked at me.
"I'm sorry, Atem. You look like an innocent child when you look confused." I gathered my wits and got serious. "Anyway, thanks for helping the others to rescue me."
"You're welcome." Wendy returned at that moment with the hot tea. Porlyusica put two pinches of the powder in the tea and handed me the cup.
"Drink," she said sternly. "With all this talking and giggling, you are not doing yourself any good. No talking for two days and use this four times a day. I will return in two days." Porlyusica handed the bag of powder to Wendy and left.
"Well, crap."
"I SAID 'NO TALKING!'"
"I swear the old bat's hearing is as good as a dragon slayers. She knows when we talk about her even when she's not here." I nodded, agreeing with Lucy.
This is gonna be a long two days.
Yes it is. You like to talk, and the only person you can talk to is me.
That's true. Do you want to tell Atem you're awake?
Not yet. Right now. I'm just a voice in your head. Soon, with some training, we might be able to switch consciousnesses.
That would mean what exactly?
I would be able to interact physically through you.
Would you be able to get a physical body?
I don't know. And we left it at that. Two very uneventful days passed and Porlyusica is supposed to see me today about my throat. Wendy has been diligent in making sure I got my medicine. Kamilah has talked to me about a training regime to get stronger so we could switch consciousnesses and she could talk to Atem herself. I have to tell Lucy and Natsu and Atem that she is awake and wants to be able to communicate and help fight in this battle. I have elemental magic and she has Siren Song magic, but doesn't remember how to use it.
Porlyusica arrived on the third day and gave me the all clear to start talking again.
"Thanks, Porlyusica." I turn and look for Lucy, Natsu, and Atem. I found them at our usual table. I walk over and sit down next to Atem. The first time we sat next to each other, it felt right.
"Well?"
"I have to tell you something."
"Porlyusica gave you the all clear."
"Yes, and there's something else. Atem is right. I am Kamilah reincarnated. Currently, we are two separate souls inhabiting one body. She thinks if I can train my body and mind, we can switch consciousness and she can have control." I look at Atem in the eyes. "She really missed you."
"Can she see what you see? I could while my descendant and I were in the same situation." I nodded. Atem pulled a small package out of his pocket and set it on the table. "This was yours when we were married. I bought it as an engagement present but you refused to wear it until our wedding day." I picked up the package and opened it. Kamilah gasped at the same time I did.
My hairpin! I remember! I wore it the night I died. I used Siren Song to kill Gahiji, but it also took my life because of my wording of the spell. I was wearing this. Then a bright light shone from the hairpin and I saw flashes of memories- me and Atem walking through a garden that I tended to, him holding me protectively behind him, our last assignment in battle strategy, the engagement party, the wedding, our first couple days locked in our chambers, the day we both died. When the memories stopped, I looked around at my family. When I looked at Atem, my heart fluttered in my chest.
Kamilah/Lillianna
"Atem, dear. How I have missed you." I spoke, but my voice was more angelic and slightly deeper. That's when I realized it was Kamilah speaking.
"Kamilah dear." Atem kissed the back of my hand, then released it to place the hair pin where I always wore it after he bought it for me. "Do you remember that the pin is part of a set?" I nodded.
"Lucy, may I have the set Mama bought me?" Lucy nodded.
"Open Gate of the Maiden, Virgo!" A loud doorbell sounded and Virgo appeared, slightly tattered, like she had been fighting. "Are you okay?"
"Is it Punishment Time, Hime?"
"No."
"I'm sorry, but I can't bring the set. It's been stolen."
"Nobody can enter the celestial spirit world without the proper clothes and a -" Lucy did not finish the sentence as her eyes grew wide and she dug out her lacrima.
"Lucy, what's wrong?" Nutsu put his arm around Lucy as she frantically tried to call someone.
"Yukino is the only other celestial wizard besides the princess." Lucy started panicking even more when Yukino did not answer. Then she tried Hime Hisui.
"Hi Lucy! What are you doing? How are you?"
"Right now, I'm worried. So you know that set that Lilli wears to the palace parties? Well, Virgo was guarding it in the spirit world and it got stolen."
"But, nobody can enter the celestial spirit world without proper clothing and- Did you call Yukino?"
"Just before I called you, and no answer."
"I will visit Sabertooth and see what I can gather."
"Thank you, Your Highness."
"Lucy, we are friends. You can call 'Hisui.'"
"I know. It just feels awkward to me."
"Still? After all these years?"
"Yeah."
"You are silly. I will call you back when I can."
"Okay, and thanks again." Lucy and Hisui ended their call. "Why would someone steal the set?"
"Because the set is imbued with a lot of light magic, but only one person can control it." Atem looked at me when he said the last part.
"It explains why I always felt better when wearing the set."
"It does. Even when Mama first brought it home, you were happier and more content-like you had found a part of yourself that was missing or a friend that you needed. I guess that is exactly what happened."
"But, I could also be controlled. Like Atem said, 'The magic can only be controlled by one person,' but in the wrong hands-" I never finished because we all knew where I was heading.
"We need Master." So we all got up and waved Mira to tag along since she knows about all of this. We went up the stairs to Master's office and knocked on the door.
