CHAPTER I ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Teacher: Morning everyone, before we start with today's lesson we have a new student joining us today.
Teacher: So young man would you like to introduce yourself to the rest of the class?
The class turns their head to see the new student their teacher spoke of.
He had somewhat unkempt black hair with a fair amount of hair gel and golden eyes, he stood at about five feet and had a half smile on his face. He was also wearing part of the school's uniform, a pair of black shoes with navy pants and a blue blazer. The blazer was open revealing an orange hoodie with the words "Jupiter of the Monkey" in bold white letters in a black box on the chest area of the hoodie.
???: Thanks, I'll do it myself.
The young man stepped forward and introduced himself.
???: Hi my name is John Doe. I live in New Bostin. I like movies, games and boba tea.
Half the class was still looking at their new classmate, others weren't paying any attention at all.
Those that were still listening were thinking various things about John. Some were wondering what sort of ability he had and how strong he was. Some were thinking they could beat him or that he was some loser. Some thought his face looked nice and a few others were wondering what the hell "Jupiter of the Monkey" means.
Teacher: Excellent, now take the empty seat over there.
John: Sure, okay
John takes his seat
Now at the end of the first period. John is approached by a girl with pale skin, aqua blue hair and green eyes.
John: ( In Thought ) So many next class is…
Blue haired girl: Hi John! I'm Elaine, Welcome to Wellston!
The girl now named Elaina said in a friendly tone.
John looked at Elaine for a second then two then several. A look of suspicion on his face
Elaine: John? … John, are you okay?
Elaine asks with a look of confusion now on her face.
John: Oh yeah… I-I'm good, sorry I zoned out for a little there.
He says fixing his face.
Elaine: Oh don't worry, I get it first day jitters. Happens to everyone.
Elaine: So you said you're from New Bostin right? That's pretty far away from here, what made you come all the way here.
John responded in a friendly tone and a smile.
John: No real reason, just wanted to be away from things you know.
Elaine: I guess so.
Elaine: So, John. What kind of ability do you have?
If it wasn't for John fixing his face into his poker face, he would be obviously wincing but right now no one could tell. But John could tell that everyone in the classroom had stopped what they were doing and just stared at him waiting to see what he'd say.
John decided to say…
John: Well actually I don't have an ability.
Elaine's face twisted into that of disgust when she heard that but decided to ask again.
Elaine: What did you say?
John: I said I don't have one is that a problem or-
John was cut off by Elaine when she yelled.
Elaine: I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!
John: Okay I can see you're upset but-
John was cut off once more by Elaine
Elaine: SHUT UP! can't believe I wasn't my time on a weakling like you.
John: Wait I-
John Was cut off a third time
Elaine: Get out of my way yo-
Now Elaine was speechless with what she saw when she looked at John again. His eyes were glowing.
Elaine: What!? But you just said-
John: I know what I said. I was just playing a little joke. You see it's like this.
John then proceeded to explain himself.
John: For reasons that were outside of my control for the last year 'n' a half I ended up getting homeschooled. So I'm a little out of touch with people my age group say for a few others and I thought I'd just open up with a little joke. Maybe that one was a little bit too far. Sorry about that.
The others in the classroom were muttering to each other about John's "Joke". Most were not too happy, others were confused.
John: As for you question-
John was cut off by the sound of the bell warning the students that they don't have long to get to their next class. With the sound of that bell everyone just forgot about John and began to run for their next class. John caught up to Elaine to apologize again for his bad joke.
John: Hey I'm really sorry about that. I just thought I'd give it a try, I didn't mean to upset you. I'll tell you about my ability some other time. So are we cool
Elaine looks at him real quick before speaking.
Elaine: Whatever, just don't go around making jokes like that one.
John: Don't worry about that, I learned my lesson.
They both went to their next class.
Later in the day. In an alleyway behind the main school building. John got cornered by two male low-tier students. One with green spiky hair and the other with tanish purple hair both with cocky looks on their faces.
John: Hey guys, I'm not looking for a fight.
He said with a calm tone of voice.
Purple hair student: Neither are we, we're just here to help you out.
Green hair student: You see in this school, there's a hierarchy that everyone follows. You're at the bottom right now so just do whatever we say and maybe you'll survive long enough to see lunch.
John notices someone at the corner of his eye, a girl he seen in his class with lavender color hair. He decides to ask her for help.
John: HEY! EXCUSE ME! OVER HERE! CAN YOU HELP ME OUT PLEASE!
The girl looked his way sipping on a juice box and then proceeded to walk away. John sucked his teeth at that.
Green hair student: You thought SHE was gonna help YOU.
The two low-tier students began to laugh.
Purple hair student: that's the school's ace, the strongest. Seraphina Queen here, why would she help you?
John just continued to look at the Queen walk away in disbelief.
Green hair student: HEY, NEW KID! WE'RE TALKING TO YOU SO PAY ATTENTION!
The green hair student begins to throw a punch with his ability activated. One that John dodges easily. The fist makes a small hole in the wall behind him. The other begins to attack as well but this one shoots small energy needles from his hands that manage to hit John but do like to no damage. The green student goes for another attack but misses once more and is given a knee to the gut and is then grabbed by John who proceeds to throw the green one into his purple friend both go crashing to the ground after that.
John: Why are you guys doing shit like this!? You're both low-tiers!?
The green one jumps back up to attack but before he could finish John punches him back to the ground. With a look of anger John speaks.
John: STAY DOWN.
The duo flinch. A chill goes down their spines. Seraphina, who has been watching the fight from behind the wall, flinches as well when John spoke.
Seraphina: (Inner monologue) What was that just now? When he said that I couldn't help but feel afraid. Why did I just feel fear? I'm not the one fighting and he's not even using his ability.
John then proceeded to walk away leaving the duo on the ground afraid but stopped to say.
John: Oh and one more thing, quit using your powers to hurt others or I will find you and next time I WILL be using my ability.
He then sees Seraphina behind the wall and says to her in a sarcastic voice.
John: Thanks for nothing.
He walks away.
John: Damn it, school years starting off shitty.
He then takes a deep breath and exhales. John stairs at his right hand and a black and purple flash of darkness forms a key shaped sword. The hilt of the blade looks like a round set of horns, the blade of the sword is long black blade with orange teeth edges, the keychain at the bottom of the hilt has a black chain with a jester cap at the end of the chain.
Staring at his Keyblade he calls "Foolish Regalia" with sadness in his eyes he takes another breath and starts to smile.
John: Well no one said coming back and trying to live a somewhat normal life would be easy. This is just the first of many days and I'm sure we'll all meet again soon.
He left the Keyblade high and said to himself.
John: May My Heart Be My Guiding Key!
Elsewhere staring at John from just a window above John was a young pink haired girl with copper color eyes who saw John with his Keyblade in hand.
???: Uh, what a weird looking ability.
