Damachi/ Spellbreak
This was inspired by Is It Wrong To Crawl My Way Back Home, One Dungeon Floor At A Time? By Anco and I watched Damachi and played a few games.
Another ant was destroyed as a stone fist punched through its hard skull, destroying it instantly. As more and more killer ants start to gather around a choke point near the dungeon. Any wounded ant sends a signal to attach many more, leading it to be their swarming tactics and becoming known as an adventurer killer. But a smart person would turn that strength into a weakness.
I looked at the center of the room to see a bunch of ant heads still clicking for help, as more and more ants kept swarming the location, just as planned. The ants gather around me as I channel mana into my rune to turn me Invisibility.
Vanishing from their sight I jumped and used my magic to levitate over all the ants as they started to gather around the wounded ant heads. As I made a bit of distance away from the ant swarm I channel magic to my Fire Gauntlet and channel my sorcery.
"FLAMEWALL"
A large wall of fire circles around the swarm burning all the swarm. The ants screech and scrum as the fires burn them all to ashes leaving only the magic stones in place. A tired sign escaped my lips as I began the process of collecting the stones and the few ant teeth that the monsters dropped.
How long have I been here now, a few weeks, a month? There's no calendar that can show me but I know I have been in this world for quite some time now. A world where monsters attack people and god walks among mortals. I don't think that they are gods but at this point it doesn't matter what you call them.
They give power to mortals to bring their 'familia' and do everything for them; they just slave in all but name. Collecting all the stones I started to put it into my inventory.
"Inventory"
A blue screen pops up in front of me, the screen showed multiple boxes, few boxes were full. My Lightning Gauntlet, Toxic Gauntlet, Wind Gauntlet, Frost Gauntlet and Water Gauntlet. A bone like knife I got in the dungeon and some drop items from some monster I killed before, fangs, nails, horns, insect wing and legs too.
It had also had some lines of text at the top that read:

Don't know how I got here but whatever got me here also gave me the magic system from the game SpellBreak. A mobile game I used to play before I was sent here, but unlike the game I could do more than the game system limit and I'm technically all the classes, meaning I get all the benefits from each Gauntlet class. Put the magic stones and drop items in the inventory and swipe my hand to close the screen.
SCCCRRRRRRREECH
A roar got my attention as I looked forward to seeing a much bigger ant than before, bigger and a sturdier exo-skeleton with larger teeth.
"You're a new one" I say to the much larger killer ant, "guess you smarten up then" I remark thinking the monsters must be learning too to know how he normally wounds a monster just to set up a trap for them, so they send someone bigger to deal with it.
This new warrior ant as I'm calling it charge with its fangs ready to snap my neck as I start to run towards it. The warrior ant lifts its head to bite down as I use mana to increase my momentum and slide under the ant as it misses by an inch, sliding under the stronger creature I channel magic into my Stone Gauntlet.
"Shockwave"
A fist full of earth magic punches under the ant sending its body up into the air and momentum still sliding me forward as the warrior ant comes down easily shaken by the magic, stopping near the wall I get up quickly to recharging my mana. A glow envelopes me as mana starts to gather and I get ready for the coming Warrior ant. It screeches as it raises its fangs and swipes left as I dodged back into the wall. I use it to jump over the ant as it swipes right at the wall. Jumping back to get the distance between me and the ant the ant starts to charge as I use both of my Gauntlets.
"BOULDERFALL"
"Fireball"
Sent a huge Boulder at the ant and sending a fireball at it to ignite it, making it a flaming boulder as it explodes on impact of the warrior. The ant falling back from the boulder hit, it screeches in pain from the large flame puddle around it before it screeches in rage charging at me with rage in its eyes catching me by surprise at it fully charging into me hitting me with its full body before exploding in dust all over me.
I grunted in pain at the blow from the warrior ant, luckily the in game armour also works here too. While the armour protects my health it doesn't stop the pain from the attack. Looking around I see no more monsters around me as I sign in relief before hearing the sound of pebbles moving.
Looking up I see a small little rock doll with a big smile, it looks like Sackboy if he was made of pebbles and powered by a blue like fire. He comes up to me holding a larger than average magic rock from the Warrior ant. As I smile at him.
"Hey Pebble" I said to the little golem. This was Pebble my first attempt at making a golem. He is not very strong and his size doesn't scare anyone quite the opposite but I couldn't dismiss him as I came to like having someone around to talk to. Picking up the magic rock I put it into my inventory then looking at my screen.
"Time"

"6.00 Well I think that's enough for one day, don't you think?" I ask Pebble who nods before lifting his arms in the air and jumping. Knowing what he wants, I pick him up and put him on my shoulder as I start heading back up.
"Shit which way out again?"
I say looking around the weird cave like dungeon as Pebble taps my shoulder to get my attention as he points to a direction. Pebble always knows the direction to every dungeon I've been to so far.

Walking through the dungeon is tiring, walking and running over a few monsters here and there and killing a few for extra stones can be tiring at worst. Still nearly finished, just one more floor until I reach the surface.
"What do you feel like eating?" I ask Pebble while walking to the start of the level two dungeons. As he just shrugs his shoulders, not knowing what to eat. Pebble can eat anything so mostly I just feed him my leftovers or others leftovers.
Before I could continue I felt a weird presence starting to surround us. Even since coming to the world I have been more sensitive to the magic here more than others, this gives me some form of six senses. My friend theories that due to me living in an environment without magic or gods my body has started to adapt to the changes. And right now I'm sensing four no five monsters laying a trap. I grab Pebble to put him down and change my gauntlets to Water Gauntlet and Lightning Gauntlet. The Water Gauntlet is the most useful with element interaction and lighting is the best with water.
Pebble watches as his best friend leaves to deal with the monsters. He knows he has to stay out of the way and always help pick up what was dropped as monsters barely notice him and only focus on his much bigger friend. He wishes he could be big too, and then he can hug everyone too. He can't wait for dinner as everyone always hugs him and feeds him. Pebble notices a magic stone nearby, walking up to get it knowing his friend loves magic stones. He grabs the stone to look at how shiny it is, no wonder everyone wants one there so shiny. Then something pecks the stone in his hand making him drop the stone, getting angry he looks up to see a bird with fluffy yellow and green feathers. The bird was pecking the stone as Pebble roared in anger changing at the bird.
As I walk closer and closer to the trap , my water magic is ready for anything. As the step forward closer five Dungeon Lizards put up holding makeshift swords and mace from other unfortunate adventurers that got caught. The lizards all jump at once, weapons ready to kill me with an instant but they never face me before, mana in gauntlets to unleash the sorcery.
"Tidal Barrier"
A barrier of water surrounds me, catching all the lizards in the water as they spiral all around in the barrier, holding their breath or attending to swim as they swirl around me. Pushing my hand out to break the barrier the lizard all burst out all over the ground. All the lizards are groaning and trying to get back up after a little swim, with the Lightning Gauntlet I channel a bit of mana of electricity to shock the water puddles, frying all the lizard men.
All of them span and shake after getting electrocuted and one by one they start to burst in dust leaving only their magic stones and weapons left. Taking a breath I started the process of gathering the stones and weapons, I got inventory to spare and I can always sell the weapons. After storing all the leftover stuff and looking over the weapons, picking up the sword I can see it is well-crafted and good quality metal, monsters are getting smarter now.
Picking it up and storing it I turn to see an amusing sight of Pebble riding a roster or wrestling a roster of some kind.
"Playing around" I ask as Pebble and the rooster both stop to look at me, a moment of silence passes until the rooster starts freaking out and running away at a surprising speed with Pebble shaking his little fist at it angrily yelling at it leaving only feathers behind.
"hahaha" I chuckled at Pebble as he crossed his arms not looking at me as I quickly picked up the feathers, maybe they were worth something. Looking down I picked him up and put him on my shoulder where he still wouldn't look at me, still pouting about the rooster.
"How about we have chicken tonight?" I ask the golem who turns to look at me before nodding as he points to the way out with me walking to the exit of this dungeon.

The sun turns orange as day turns to afternoon, the streets were busy with everyone working or finishing up. Walking through the busy street as I headed to the guild for the exchange of the magic stones, passing all the people and others as me and Pebble with a few or more people looking at me here and there.
Heading to the guild I open the door to see a few advancers exchanging stone or asking information. Going over to the coin exchange I head over with my hand in my pockets waiting in line, using my Inventory to get an amount of stones.

Putting 35 medium stones into my hand in my pocket I took 35 magic stones from my pocket as me and Pebble headed for the front after waiting in line for a bit before giving the guy at the counter the stones and a bag for the gold. The guy at the counter understood before counting the stones and putting the gold in the bag, it helps the people at the guild not give any more bags and help keep my magic a secret. Putting the bag into my pocket I put it into my pocket to hide my inventory ability.

"Magnus?" a voice said call me out as Pebble looked happy and turned around from my shoulders with his arms out.
"Ooo hello Pebble, it's always good to see you" the female voice said, grabbing Pebble from my shoulders and hugging him in her chest.
"Afternoon Eina" I greeted Eina Tulle my guild adviser as she turn to face me while still hugging Pebble
"How was your dungeon run?" She asks as she and I both walk into her area where we talk with two coaches and a table between.
"Quite good really although I had an interesting interaction with a monster" He said sitting down watching Eina play with Pebble as he jumped up and down as she tried to catch him.
"How so? Have you been going down deeper in the dungeon Magnus, What I tell you adventurers" I cut her off
"Don't adventure, I'm aware of it Eina, and no I just ran into a stronger variety of a monster" I said not telling her how deep I go or the monsters in question are.
"Stronger, you must have faced a strengthened species, a monster that is stronger than your average monster" Eina explained my monster encounter.
"So there are ways for monsters to grow stronger as well" I said in a grave tone as Pebble looked scared at the scarier monster which Eina noticed.
"Don't worry Pebble; these monsters occur only accidentally every now and then. So you won't see another one again" Eina said, calming down the little golem petting his head which he appreciates.
"Your concern for my well being brings me joy" I said sarcastically seeing my guild adviser more concerned with Pebble then her client.
"Please, the amount of crazy things you ask, I can only pray for Pebble's safety" Eina said with a teasing grin as I signed dramatically.
"You wounded me Eina" I said holding my heart as I started to leave after picking up Pebble who started to wave to Eina who waved back. Before I could get out
"Magnus wait up" Eina called out running over as I turned to face her.
"There's still the problem about your god not coming over or sending any message. Do you think Mr" Eina asks about my god not coming over as I wince but grit my teeth. Apparently you can't go into the dungeon without a familia and so far I have been pretending to be a-part of one but lately she has been asking about my 'god' to come over more and more.
"Yeah the Revelation is currently throne bound but I sent the message so he should get back soon" I said leaving quicker now with Eina looking down at the response I gave. Luckily I said my god was outside of Orario or not really a god at all.

Running out on the street wasn't the best thing to do but I panicked so here I am in the middle of the street, Jesus what I rush. Pebble looked at me strangely, seeing me like this confused him.
"Don't worry, well figure this out" talking about the lack of god problem as Pebble just nodded before to do one of my pockets.
Looking around I see it still noon so might as well sell some stuff good thing I know a guy. Walking through the street I think about me being here and why. Looking into my hand I channel magic into it, seeing and feeling the energy going through my chest too all over my arm. I can see my hand start to glow as I walk through the street.
"Status"
Just as soon as the word leaves my mouth, a blue screen like before pops up before my very eyes. With a big title that says Status and containing a set of names and numbers

Looking at the statues I can see it is pretty much the same as the game, but it also includes bonuses from my gear like my Amulet, Belt, and Boots. It doesn't show my strength or anything but it doesn't matter. I know I am stronger than a normal human from earth and can feel the mana in the air making me stronger, but I still need to work on increasing my strength though.
Walking through the alley I enter one of the shops, the shops in question hold many potions, spices, monster parts, plants and many other things I couldn't begin to understand. In the end of the store was a hooded figure mixing glasses together to make some kind of potion. The hood figure was completely covered in clothes top to bottom, gloves, boots all cover his body and the face was a bleak like mask with glass eyes. He looks exactly like a Plague doctor for history, or media at this point. The figure turned to see both me at the door and Pebble in my pocket.
"Did you get what I asked?" the voice was filtered as the plague doctor asked as I came in with Pebble on the counter. This was Paracelsus, a doctor, researcher and alchemist and the one who helped me out. He runs a potion shop with a variety of effects. He gives different medicine, antidotes and healing potions at a cheap price compared to the other places. The difference between his shop and others is his potions are not instant healed and meld wounds painlessly compared to more magic healing potions that heal injuries instantly and painlessly. Not to mention he is not in a familia and doesn't get sponsored by any gods, but everyone always goes to him for medicine and few advancers are aware of the long term benefit his potions give.
"Nice to see you too Para and yes I am alive and well thank you for asking" I said as I walked to the counter with Pebble putting him on the counter as he sat down looking around.
" Don't call me that, and you didn't answer my question Magnus" he said looking over to me as I signed before going into my pocket to reach my inventory to pull out the items the doc sent me to get from the dungeon.
"Mushrooms from the 4th floor, seaweed from the 6th floor, rare flowers from 2th floor, roots from the 3th, some monster fangs and I even got you a Purple Moth Wing from a purple moth" I put all the items in question on the counter as Paracelsus looked over the items in question as Pebble went to play with the moth wing.
"Yes this would do nicely and I would put in extra for the moth wing" Paracelsus said, putting some potions on the counter as I grabbed them. Picking one potion up to look it over.

[This potion was created by a skill alchemist after learning from a friend the secret of the human body, it can heal almost any injury with its high regeneration and cure all toxins in the body. Making the body more healthy and stronger than before]
[Heal injury in an instant, increase regeneration and increase the body nature healing and strength]
[Improve the overall health of the user]
[The potion cause great pain as the user feels the pain of all the injuries heal and body will burn in magic]
[Will cause great pain to any who drink it]
These potions have great benefits and are cheaper compared to other healing potions in other places. But while the potion heals better and cheaper to make, the problem is, the potion has side effects like most modern medicine. Now some side effects are mild like a headache or feel a little sick but that kind of side effect can lead to death in the dungeon. While you can use the potion if you take it right and follow the instructions, things in the dungeon are not easy to follow when you are in a life or death situation. That is why adventurers find the instant heal potion instead, it is more expensive but painless and easier to use.
"Here the potion I promises, anti-venom that can cure any toxin, painkiller that make you feel less pain and the Regeneration potion that will health you instantly and make you stronger naturally" Paracelsus said giving me a page of the potions and some money I pocket the potions and money in my inventory.
"By the way I'm going to need more water and toxics as well" Paracelsus asked me knowing about my unique magic, seeing that he was the one who found me here and helped me get settled into this world.
"Of course, still renting my bed?" I ask getting out my Water Gauntlet and Toxic Gauntlet as he gets a few empty containers, the Water Gauntlet Hydrobomb launches a orb of water that explodes when in contact with an enemy but another ability is the Hydrobomb also heals those I consider an ally. A Hydrobomb can heal up to 20 healths with each bomb and just the water has healing ability alone. Paracelsus makes use of the water with his patients and sells it to those who are aware of the water, he does the same with the poison from the toxic gauntlet. I really am the avatar at this point, Avatar Magnus as a nice ring to it.

FLASHBACK
I shot up with a gasp, spitting as I swiped the long grass away from my face. A gentle breeze flew overhead, and a wind echoed in the back of my mind. I paid it little attention as I start to look around in confusion, before looking at my hands
"What in the fuck?" I asked the air as I finally got up to see what I was wearing.
"What the fuck am I wearing" I scream looking at my costume; I look like a gender-bend vision of the poster character from Spellbreak. I look around in the landscape of large open field of grass and mountains
"Where am I? '' I asked myself looking through the costume I was in to see if I could find my phone.
"Who robbed me?" I yell in anger at not finding my phone, wallet or anything but stuff for my cosplays. I hold my head in pain. Feeling a big headache now, ok think the last thing I remember was a typical day at Uni, after finishing the day then I was on a Train heading home. It drove through the city, passed over a few rivers, and then…. shit what happened. I'm drawing a blank. I don't remember anything after that last river. I try to wrap my head around it to think but the headache was killing me, it doesn't matter I need to survive somehow.
Looking around I see a city across the field, good now I just need to get to it but I start to cough heavily. Jesus feels like I'm trying to swallow a huge pill and now I'm starting to feel drunk now. Looking up I see a weird screen in front of me, maybe I am drunk

I have to be on drugs or something; cause I don't know what I'm seeing, Danmachi? End of the Dungeon? Someone is fucking with me and someone getting a fist shoved up their ass, because I'm pissed. I start to walk a little faster even though I feel more drunk than ever before and smell something weird nearby.
Holding my hands on my head to try and stop this headache I let-out a scream in pain
"Aaaaaaaaaaa"
I fell on the ground too overwhelmed by everything, rolling around screaming in this place. Getting on my knees I started coughing up blood. Seeing my blood on the ground scared me, I tried to stand up but could get the energy falling on my back. I lay on the ground. Still overwhelmed and too tired to move, before I pass out I see a hooded figure come up in my vision looking down on me with a bird like mask then my eyes closed to the strange new world.

Paracelsus was gathering some herbs for some medicine and found me screaming, he took me in and nursed me back to health. He and I talked about the world of Danmachi and I told him about my current problem. I thought he thought I was crazy but he believed me. He said my body was unnatural as it didn't have any mana since I got here but now I'm here my body is now absorbing mana at a fast pace which I why I was feel sick was due to my body trying to fight the mana but now is full accept it, making me a natural mage which according to Paracelsus was very rare for humans.
Yes, it turns out elves, dwarves and other fantasy creatures exist here. Luckily Paracelsus gave me a place to stay with the payment being to help him out and donate my blood. He says my blood has bigger antibodies than anyone bar the gods themselves. So I spent 2 weeks helping out Paracelsus with patients and potion making and other stuff. I even made friends that help me with my magic and sixth sense.
With my magic Water, Toxin and my basic knowledge of health and sanctions the place was making more money than it was before and Paracelsus gave me a bit of money every now and then for the help I provided. Now as an adventure I am closer to reaching the end of the dungeon.
"So how is the clinic going?" I ask Paracelsus as he looks at the stuff I brought him.
"Going good, your water saves many lives and the toxins create many anti-venoms" He said, still looking at the stuff "I even have enough to expand the area for my apprentices" he looks at Pebble playing with the moth wing.
"You're teaching others?" I ask to see one of the containers full. I moved to another one.
"Of course I teach more than how to bandage and apply medicine correctly" He said looking at me with I believe narrow eyes but you can't tell with the mask.
"Hey that one guy was an asshole and the drugs weren't working" recalling the one patient that got rather physical at this place and the drugs weren't working so I had to knock the bastard out.
"Causing head trauma is not the best way to heal someone" He remarks taking the wing away from Pebble who looks angry at him but stops when he gives him a tool to play with, easy to please that one.
"Whatever at least he didn't cause anymore problems with the other patients" I said to the Plague doctor as he disregarded me to look at the wing in question.
"By the way are there any beds available" I ask, seeing how every now and then I sleep here to not only save money but to relieve any pay Paracelsus feels he needs to give me.
"Unfortunately all the beds are full, a few adventurers manage to affect a few people with Rabies, now all the patients are now recovering in the beds" Paracelsus says in anger at adventures causing medical problems with the common people.
The Dungeon has worse things than monsters coming out, these monsters can affect the environment and people. Leading to new types of diseases and illness that were difficult to cure, while Adventures with a god's blessing are pretty much immune to illness of the dungeon not everyone has that luxury. This leads to many common people getting sick with any interactions with the adventurers, whether it's pasting by them or touching something they touch. While diseases are rare now a days is was deadly before. Nearly half the people of the city died before the problem was even solved. Now adventurers clean and try to stay away from everyone if they feel under the weather but not every system is perfect, there has been a few case every now and then.
Luckily my immune system is more advanced than everyone else, probably it's due to having been from a more healthy society with vaccines to stop illness before they prove fatal. This gives Paracelsus another reason to take my blood and make more cures for the common cold.
"Do not fear I will pay you the usual rate for your mana" Paracelsus said about his debt, he hates being in debt and tries to pay it as soon as possible.
"Don't worry about it mate, just pay back by giving those patients some of my water" I said to try to calm down the plague doctor who just nodded.
"I was going to do that anyway" He said, taking the stuff away with Pebble to his sadness, filling up the last of the containers I dismissed my Gauntlets before handing it to him.
"Excellent this will help many" He looks at the Water and Toxin in a creepy way as I start to leave
"Right, I 'm heading out for dinner, want to come?" I invite the doctor but he shook his head
"Sadly I must see to my patients, enjoy your dinner" He said leaving me as I started to head out grabbing Pebble on my way out.
"See ya Mate" I wave goodbye behind me as I close the door and start to head off.

Pebble and I head to the Hostess of Fertility for something to eat, Pebble and I currently live at the Hostess for about a week now. After I gathered enough money to rent a place after Paracelsus kicked me out and my teacher's place was too far to sleep but then I passed by a maid who ran up to me saying I dropped a stone.
Which was weird since my stuff is in my inventory but who says no to free money, taking the stone with a quick thank you I went on my way. Until the girl who introduced herself as Syr started walking beside me advertising her workplace was like those annoying door to door salesmen, I easily saw through it seeing how I study marketing and know all the tricks. It got even more annoying when she saw Pebble and the little guy loved attention. After her playing with Pebble I told her I'm not interested and to work on her sales pitch as I'm looking for a place to rent.
Which changed her style and now I rent a room at the Hostess of Fertility. After getting a lecture from a very intimidating woman after everyone played with Pebble, I was able to rent a place for 2,000 valis a month.
Normally it's 4,000 but after seeing Pebble get so much more attention to Mama Mia business then before I negotiate to have Pebble do a show every two tonight's to get more customers for cheaper rent.
Seeing how she was making more money with Pebble dancing losing 2,000 seemed like nothing. So Pebble would do something and everyone would gather around. He makes a good show especially when the girls dress him up.
Pulling down my hood, I walk up the wooden steps of the Hostess of Fertility and push open the large wooden doors. The yells from outside have risen to unbearable levels as everyone cheers, shouts and bangs their mugs. The overpowering smell of food and beer overwhelmed me from every direction and I couldn't help but cringe as both my sight, sound and smell were attacked from every direction. It sometimes hurts when all your 5 natural senses are more sensitive.
I take a second to catch my breath as Pebble looks concerned but a part of his head, letting him know I'm ok. I open the doors; an elf with light green hair that was standing by the door at that moment turns to me.
"Welcome to the Host" she stops mid-sentence after bowing to get a good look over before standing straight.
"Oh, Magnus, did you enjoy your walk?" This was Ryu, she was calm and collective a direct contrast to the rowdy atmosphere of the pub, Ryu gave me her usual stoic stare. But changed when she saw Pebble holding his hands.
"Hello Pebble, were you a good boy today?" She asks for a slip change in tone compared to before but Pebble has that effect on people as he nods excited.
"It is always Pebble that gets the good greeting, never anyone else" I mumble knowing Ryu only does that to Pebble and a few others, which is very few you know. As she leads us to a table away from the rowdy crowd as I hide Pebble since day wasn't his show day. As I follow after her, dodging and weaving through the crowds of drowsy, drunk and loud Adventurers
"Busy night tonight," I say to Ryu over the noise and she glances back to me,
"What's the occasion?" I asking her,
"One of the Adventurers in the Loki Familia recently levelled up so most of them came here to celebrate. Here's your table." Ryu explained by showing me a lonely little table with only one chair left, it was left empty next to a group of odd looking Adventurers, at least compared to the rest but just as rowdy.
I saw a red-headed girl downing a mug of alcohol while the elf with long jade hair was calmly sipping something. A woman with long blond hair and a blank look, a midget with messy blond hair and a furry with grey hair and dog ears, looks really drunk and is shouting something or other.
I pulled out the chair and sat down on it, looking up at Ryu with a raised brow as Pebble went to sit on the table I was on to look up at Ryu too.
"If you'll wait just a moment, I'm sure Syr will come by to take your order." She said turning around. Oh you bitch
"Ryu, don't you dare" I didn't see anything but I truly saw a glint in her eyes as she walked off.
"Bitching," I mutter under my breath and rub my forehead as Pebble looks confused at me not understanding my feelings of dealing with Syr.
Oh well. I have some time before Syr finds out I'm here and tries to market more income than normal.
Luckily everyone was drunk and distracted from noticing Pebble as he sat down waiting for Syr to come. I take the time to think about the dungeon, thinking about the monster growing stronger naturally scares me. I know there are much stronger and smarter monsters at the deeper floors but the fact that they can grow even stronger scares me, what next Pokémon like evolution. Looking into my inventory I stare at a bone like knife. Selecting it I reach for my pocket to pick it up.
I hold the knife in my right hand, looking at its sharp bone edge and the comfortable grip on the hilt with a bit of bone at the bottom of the blade for blunt hits as well.

This dagger will kill anything; the blade is so sharp that it cuts through steel with little effort. And the blood, it works like Zabuza's sword the Executioner's Blade from Naruto but it also grows stronger with each kill. It is a very dangerous blade and I don't want to see the monster this bone came from.
When I first entered the dungeon both my overconfidence and curiosity nearly killed me. I thought I could take on the dungeon with my magic and sixth sense. After killing the monster I got curious about where they came from and looked at the wall the monster came out of. I was a fucking idiot when I put my hand into the flesh wall, next thing I know it sucked me in I the landed into a giant area like floor with a monster crowd cheers and monster with weapons fighting.
Without my magic and sixth sense I would have died down there if it wasn't for the crazy bitch that was spending time playing with me instead of killing me, and not playing in a good way. Somehow I took this dagger from her and stabbed her, giving me enough time to escape. The same way I came in and luckily it led me to the 9 floor which I ran straight out before anyone else could stop me.
I still have nightmares of her catching me, luckily my teachers help train me to face my fear to one day fight her when she will eventually come for the dagger and I will be ready. Looking at Pebble I saw he looked bored so I quickly went to my inventory to pick a rabbit horn from a monster for him to play with.
Pebble looked bored as everyone was too busy drinking to notice him just when he was about to yawn. His best friend gave him a horn. The horn from the rabbit he rides on, shame it had to be put down but the horn is always fun as he jumps on it and pretends he was riding the bunnies like before.
"Magnus" A chirping voice said, catching both individuals' attention to turn to see a warm smile maid head over with a parchment and pencil in her hand. This was Syr, the maid that advertised this place poorly.
"Syr," I give the smiling grey-haired waitress a nod, "Having fun tonight?"
"You bet!" Syr taps her pencil on the paper, she grins as she look at the cute little golem,
"Look at you Pebble have you been keeping an eye on Magnus here" She asks as the little golem nods before going a little chicken imprecation. Folding his arms and shaking his head back and forward, Syr and a few adventurers laugh and coo at the sight as I put together what he wants.
"Just give him any chicken bones you have and me a chicken leg with beer" Pebble nodded as Syr wrote it down on her notepad looking confused at the request.
"Ok coming up?" She writes down in an odd order before heading to the kitchen. It shouldn't cost much due to Pebble turning anything into energy and me not needing to eat much thanks to magic bullshit.

Ryu Lion rolled up sleeves as she scrubs the dirty plates before grabbing another dirty plate to scrub. Rinse and repeat, monotonous work that lets her thoughts wander while her body works. And those thoughts wander to Magnus, the only renter and rookie Adventurer.
She finds him strange in her eyes.
She thought Syr was insane when she somehow convinced Mama Mia to take a male occupant of all people. When she first met him she didn't see much. He wore strange robes and a weird aura around him. He carried no weapon but a bit of armour on his chest, shoulder, knees and belt. The only good thing that came about the meet was seeing Pebble, the cute little golem. Even she found him to be cute as everyone does.
Magnus himself didn't seem into her, only having a glance at her ears, a good show of character to see he wasn't inserted in her or her co-worker bodies.
The first day he woke up early, giving everyone a quick greeting before running out to the dungeon with Pebble waving goodbye on his back, much to everyone's surprise.
They didn't see him until it was time to close when he showed up when they were about to lock up for the night causing few of them to scream when he opened the door, he apologised to Mama Mia for arriving so late before heading to bed with Pebble in his pocket.
The next day, Magnus got up at the same exact time and didn't come back until the next day which Mama Mia admonished him for as he apologised again saying a friend works at an apothecary and needed an extra hand for an all-nighter. Surprise everyone that he helps out with healing of others.
Looking up she sees a vase with little flowers in it, making her smile a bit at the memory of Pebble holding a bunch of flowers for everyone with Magnus saying he was apologising for making them worry. The entire girls gave Pebble hugs and kissed him for being so thoughtful.
She wondered if he even entered the Dungeon at all, seeing how his clothes always looked clean with no marks or signs of battle, until she heard some of the others mutter about 'some guy in weird clothes throwing fire rocks in the Dungeon'."
So, he is spell caster then, which should have been obvious he had a hood on his clothes but that leads to more concern as Spellcasters need a group to use their full power without getting instantly killed when they're casting a spell. She approached him about his familia and this god but the answer make Magnus situation more desperate
"Let's just say my god doesn't see me as a person"
It was terrible to her knowing that not only is his god uncaring but possibly very cruel to not see their familia as family and only a tool to play with. To send single Familia member alone in the Dungeon with no one to back them up, especially a spellcaster, is beyond cruel where a single bad encounter or an Ignis Fatuus would easily lead to his death
After this, she and the others tried to at least get him to eat something otherwise he would die from malnutrition before the Dungeon could finish him off. At first he was surprised about the sudden forwardness of them in starting to eat but fortunately Pebble being such a saint somehow convinced him to eat much to the relief of everyone trying.
When he ordered something simple and something odd they gave him extra food which he tried to send back until they said it was for free. They gave Magnus fresh food but he asks for old rotter salad food for Pebble. They thought he was joking until Pebble started jumping up and down and giving a begging look, going down on his knees and all which everyone instantly fell in love with, herself included.
He eats the food fine but Pebble was more playing and burning the food with this magic energy to the enjoyment of others when asked Magnus said.
"That's how he 'eats'" he explained with everyone watching Pebble fight with people giving some of their food for Pebble to eat and play with. Pebble bought so much attention the pub made four times more money than normal and Magnus talked to Mama Mia about getting a discount for Pebble to 'perform' and after some negotiation Mama Mia got Magnus a discount as long as Pebble gained attention.
"This is disgusting" a voice draws her thoughts as she turns to see Syl going through the rubbish to pick up chicken bones to put on a plate, another odd request from Magnus.
"What did he order now?" she asks putting the last dish away to turn and face her friend.
"Ryu!" she said at her with dirty fingers "he wants one chicken leg and left over bones with a beer" pulling another bone for the pile of rubbish "I think her doing this to annoy me"
"I see" she said before grabbing a cup to fill the beer as she grabs the food for their strange tenant.
"Ryu?" Syl asks why she took the order before looking at her.
"Don't worry I will make sure he pays and you get cleaned up" She said coolly pointing at her hands which she saw were filthy.
"Oh dear" She said, looking at her hand as she saw Ryu walking through the Bar with the food and rubbish on plate, Ryu easily walked through the crowd as she found Magnus and Pebble near Loki and her Familia. His back was turn and seems to be playing with something with Pebble.
She wonders if Magnus cares about him sitting close to the famous Loki familia. She walks behind him to see what he was playing with and stopped in shock.
She sees Magnus playing tug of war with Pebble using a Needle horn of a Needle rabbit. Magnus made it to floor 7 alone in 4 days, instead of feeling impressed she felt worry and a sense of dread in her stomach.
Was he trying to kill himself in the dungeon, she beyond worried and Pebble looked up and dropped the horn and started waving at her causing Magnus to turn to see her and hid the horn in his pocket.
"Hello Ryu, I see you brought our food" Pebble looks really happy and starts bowing his little head to herin thanks making her smile a bit.
"Yes Magnus, that'll be eight thousand valis" she said, placing the chicken and drink to him and the bones to Pebble as he pulls out sixteen gold coins.
"Thank you and keep the change" He said turning his back to her as he started eating the chicken leg and waving her off while Pebble grabs the bones on his plates and starts making something out of it.
She felt her ears twitch a little at being casually dismissed, turning to her boss.
"Mama Mia, I'm taking my break."
"The hell?" Magnus said as both looked at Mama Mia who gave Ryu a grin and a nod.
"Ya got 5 minutes, don't waste 'em." Mama Mia turns back to cooking
Ryu nods before going to the other side of Magnus's table and snatches out an empty chair that one of the other Adventurers had left, sitting it near Pebble who just watches her with a tilt of his head in confusion.
"What's this about Ryu?" Magnus asks, looking at her with Pebble going back to his bone making without another word as few adventurers turn to see the little golem making something.
Without answering, Ryu quickly grabs one cup on the table and fills it with a mug of water on the table and takes a drink from it.
Magnus simply looks at her with a raised brow.
"You looked pathetic and sad sitting here by yourself with only Pebble, so I thought I would give Pebble better company." She said looking at a happy Pebble putting the bones in a shape as Magnus just chuckled, she looked surprised.
"You and everyone else love using Pebble as an excuse to have a chat with me" Magnus stared at her as he took another bite of this chicken.
"It reassures us to see you eating after the past few days" She said on not seeing him eat breakfast or dinner since they seem in until yesterday now.
"A group of women gang up on me to eat there food, I thought you were trying to poison me or something, you should thank Pebble though for wanting to eat that day" Pebble was nearly finish with his creations with now is looking like a bird as he gives it a look over with more adventurers looking over, even a few of Loki famila are looking at the little golem now.
"You must be terrible with women if they feel the need to kill you" She said looking at the bird Pebble made.
"hhhhhh" he chuckled "seem I just naturally attract dangerous people" He looked at Ryu "but that makes life interesting"
"mmmhmm" She hums, nodding in understanding as Pebble went up to Mangus. He looked at Magnus and started flapping his arms like he was flying, everyone started laughing at Pebble but Magnus seemed to understand and went for this pocket to pull out a bunch of feathers.
"He you go Pebble" He hand Pebble the feather who has a grin on his face nodding before taking the feathers to his bone food. Magnus looked over to see few more people were watching Pebble and grabbed the plate Pebble was on with his bone food and moving it on the empty table on the other side of him. Pebble nods his head before going back on his work with more people watching Pebble.
"That should keep everyone entertained" Magnus said as Ryu noticed a quarter of the bar is now watching Pebble even more Loki familia are watching.
"Rumours are you use magic, is this true?" She asks, trying to get more information which he chuckles while iterating her.
"hihihihi that should be obvious no" he said looking at Pebble adding feathers to the bird-like bone meal.
"And you lack a staff" she pointed out "mages need staff to use magic"
"And who decided that?" He looked at her with curiosity "why this sudden interest?"
"Because I want to know how you made it to the seventh floor when you adventure only for four days" She said quietly but noticed the goddess suddenly looked very interested in Magnus after seeing Pebble and hearing this.
"Any proof of this?" He said with dismissal but she sees the narrow eyes and tightening of his fist.
"You were playing with a Needle horn of a Needle rabbit, their only spawn in the seventh floor" Magnus narrowing this eyes at her "I saw you playing with Pebble with it"
Magnus stares straight at her, either of them blinking as most of the bar look at Pebble in awe as he finished this model of a bird with bones and the feathers add to it makes it more lifelike. Those adventurers with more experience could notice the bone bird resembles the Jack Bird a rare monster that drop item it worth more valies than any item found in the dungeon, those veterans in the Loki familia were definitely seeing it.
Magnus takes a deep breath before going into his pocket to pull out said horn.
"Congratulations you solve the mystery" Magnus said being mischievous showing the horn to her "found it after a bunch of Rabbits trying to ambush me, Pebble managed to ride one before I had to kill it" he puts the horn down.
"So really this is the horn Pebble was riding on, so it is his property which I hold on too for him" Magnus said, turning to hear everyone shout in surprise at Pebble destroying the art work and eating it.
"You care about him, don't you?" Ryu said, looking at Magnus as he watched Pebble laughing with a few adventurers giving their left over to Pebble to crush and eat.
"I made him with my magic, thought I could make a body guard or something but instead I made him, I thought about dismissing him but I couldn't do it" Magnus looks sad "I brought him to this world and I should be responsible from him" Magnus looked sad as Ryu look at him with understanding.
Feeling responsible to someone under your care, he reminds him of her when she was under the care of her Familia, before they were taken and she doesn't want Magnus to feel that pain of losing a dear friend.
"Then let me give you some advice" Ryu said to Magnus getting his attention
"Join a better familia" she said bluntly while Magnus stared at her in shock.
"And why would I do that" He ask looking right at Ryu
Ryu can think of many reasons, but knows one that would impact Magnus the most since she got to know him.
"You have many responsibilities, taking care of Pebble, going to the dungeon and helping the sick, that's a lot of work for one man" her eyes going right through him "Whatever familia you have? Is not only holding you back but not giving you the support you obviously need." She stressed this out to him, knowing that doing so much will take a toll on anyone, even gods.
Magnus was silent about this, taking in the facts she is giving. Looking over at Pebble who was eating the food some adventurers gave him with Mama Mia and a few maids keep things from getting out of hand.
"Can you even change Familia? Don't gods need to talk about it or something?" He ask she
"I can answer that!"
"Holy fuck!"
Ryu tries not to smirk as Magnus jumps scared, he nearly falls out of his chair as he snaps his head towards the third person that had suddenly barged in on their conversation and had swung a chair down to sit at their side.
This one with bright red hair tied up into a small ponytail and closed eyes, Ryu knew who this Goddess was, a mischievous smile seemingly plastered permanently onto her face.
"You scared the shit out of me, what do you want? '' Magnus Loki, Goddess of trickery and mischief, a frown on his face meeting her permanent grin.
"Sorry for buttin' in, but I couldn't help but overhear ya conversation and got really curious! Hey, can I just see that horn? Just for a teensy tiny bit?" she gets closer to Magnus.
"Ryu, yer break over!" Mama Mia suddenly shouts over the din of Adventurers, cooking numerous meals for Adventurers starting to order food for Pebble to play and eat in.
Ryu felt like there was some sort of joke at work. But she had no choice.
Getting up and saying her goodbyes, she left Magnus alone with Loki with the hopes that he knows who he's dealing with.

Jesus where did she come from, I have spider-sense you think I warn me with some bitch pops out of nowhere. Wait, wasn't she with that old group, looking over I see said group either drinking or watching Pebble now but that blonde girl looked at me blankly though.

I turn to the grinning red head with closed eye sitting in front of me now
"No you can't because it belongs to Pebble" I point at the little golem who is currently dancing to everyone taping or singing
"That little guy is adorable, you made it?" She asks laughing as Pebble dances with few people mimicking him, even two dark girls in bikinis.
"Yes and he would be very mad if I let anyone steal this horn" I said, holding on to the horn as Loki took a thinking pose for a second before snapping her finger.
"How about this I borrow the horn and I will tell you some important information" She lean in "don't worry I won't break it" smiling "I promise"
I really shouldn't be doing this and I never hear the end of it from Pebble but against my better judgement I put the horn on the table and slide it across to the weird woman and she eagerly picks it up with childlike glee and holds it up to the light.
She attempts to pull and bend it to show that it is real before looking at me.
"Just one last test! Don't worry, I'll be right back!" She said standing up before I could respond; the woman stood up and went back to her table, waving the thing around.
Oh god Pebble going to kill me
Keeping an eye on the horn, the redhead gives it to the blond midget to give it a look over before glancing at me. He gives the woman a nod and says some words I can't make out.
The redhead then turns back and walks over to my table, throwing my horn back to me with an even bigger grin.
"Is the horn that valuable?" I ask the redhead only to laugh at my face as she drops back down onto the chair and takes the horn back.
"Hahaha! No, it's just a rabbit horn, not worth much" The woman waves me off with a grin, "My children find more valuable stuff daily than that thing, but I have to give ya props. Heading to the seventh floor in a few days. Well...That's pretty impressive." She grins looking like she found something juicy to eat.
"And you are?" I ask now, sensing the strange aura around her.
"Name's Loki," The woman grins at me like there was nothing wrong, "Nice to meetcha Magnus."
I started laughing my throat, Loki the god of Mischief was a woman in this world, I know he can shapeshift but still.
"What's so funny" Loki narrows her close eyes at me as I wave her off
"Sorry, just a joke" still chuckle to myself
"Can I hear this joke?" She ask looking at me with a stare
"You wouldn't get it, and you were saying" Trying to get back on topic and Loki just takes a drink before sitting back on her seat.
"As I was saying, there are three ways for a person to switch Familias: The first one is a mutual agreement between the Adventurers and Gods in question, second is a War Game between Familias with the Adventurers in question on the line." She shows with her fingers, the war games must be fun to watch if they call it a game.
"And what's the third?"
"Well, ya see, that's a bit more interestin" The trickster Goddess grins at me, "If an Adventurer wants to jump ship to another Familia, for whatever reason, all that's really needed is consent, ya see. Not by the God, but by the person with the Falna. So, if a certain Adventurer that's been thrown away by their God wants to join another Familia well" she stops with that as start to think.
"Interesting," I said looking at her, "And what was the other thing you said you would tell me?"
Loki's grin may have gone wider.
"How do ya plan on paying the Familia Tax without ya God?"
"Excuse me?" I said aloud to confirm my hearing was acting. What did she say about tax?
"The Familia Tax is what a Familia pays to the Guild for their services," Loki's grin stretches with every word, "If ya don't pay it, ya gonna get blacklisted by the Guild and ya won't be allowed in the Dungeon anymore." Loki looks really happy as I hold my head to think on this, even going to another world you can't escape taxes.
"And I can't somehow pay it myself" I had to ask but know I'm not that lucky
"Bingo," Loki nodded " Ya God has to sort out this stuff. I mean, the God runs the Familia, ya know? the God that runs it and handles the administrative side. If they can't handle that much, what's the point of them even having a Familia in the first place?" she said as I nodded of course I can't pay for it myself, it also complicated.
No wonder Eina is asking for my god, goanna loves taxes to pay your bills, am I right.
I'm so fucked.
"So," Loki gets my attention on her fucking grin, "What's the name of ya God?"
"Why do you want to know?" I said in an exhausted voice
"Because I wanna shit talk the fool for wasting someone like you," Loki tells me, her ever-present grin stretching, "and teach them how to run a Familia properly. Ya know, I've heard rumours about you"
"Exaggeration," I mutter dismally to the grinning trickster Goddess.
"Now, rumours are ya use rock into dungeon then set it on fire, not to mention how you work with an apothecary, is this tru" you can just hear the amount of greed and desire in her voice
"I help out at an apothecary and I use magic, what of it?" I question the goddess.
"Ya don't have any idea how valuable you are, do ya?" Loki chuckles and leans back on her chair, "So what's their name?" looking at me expectably.
I just glare at her with my eyes; everyone around us may not exist to us. As everyone just drinks and watches a Pebble amaze everyone with his show, while I'm put in a hard position about lying to a goddess. I've already made it this far with making shit up to why stop now.
"Revelation" I bluntly said to Loki in confusion.
"That not a god" She said in a knowing tone
"And you know all god-like being" I counter her as she still grins at me
"I know all from the heavens and you not anyone of theirs" her grin gets predatory
"And how would you know that?" I started getting irritated at her digging as she narrowed her eyes.
"Because I don't see a familia mark over you" She said grinning as I looked confused.
"Mark?" I questioned Loki looking very happy all of a sudden.
"Gods can tell when someone in another familia with our eyes and they can also tell ya lying" pointing a finger at me. This surprised me can gods really tell familia apart, I mean I can sense a unique aura around Loki but can Loki see the same with my aura.
"How do I know if you're lying?" I challenge as she starts to grit her teeth.
"ya want an example will we both know that Magnus isn't yer true name." She said anger as my mind just stopped, the adventurers cheer fades around me as I just stare straight at her, hearing only my heartbeat.
"Now, don't get me wrong," Loki step back from me as I manage to catch my breath
"Everyone has their secrets and that's fine, but~ Ya need to do better if you want to go into the Dungeon. It's kinda lucky that ya met me first and not someone like Freya. Trust me; she would've torn you apart." She was fucking with me at this point.
"What the fuck do you want, Loki" I spat at her though her grin remained unchanged.
"How about ya join my Familia?" She said what she wanted.
"Is this how you get your members? blackmail? threats? I'm surprised your members still follow you?"
"hey, now that's uncalled for," Loki waves off my accusation, "I wouldn't ever stoop that low and I get people begging to join my familia and I told them they don't have guts but ya for guts then most of them combine and trust me when I say that yer secrets are safe with me. Can't vouch for the other Gods though."
That's so reassuring.
"Why would a god even care? That it only took me a few days to reach the seventh floor" I try to ask only for her to chucky.
"'a few days' he says. Ya really don't get why that's so insane and I mean that in every sense of the word. It should've taken you months to reach those floors alone. But ya didn't with the horn proving it. Ya been deep in the dungeon, made a functioning golem and ya have healer's training which is more valuable than ya think. But whether ya believe it or not, ya reached your perk" She reason my skills and point out my faults.
Fuck me both she and Ryu are right, I need to get stronger to survive in the deeper dungeon and the only way to do that is to join a familia or risk getting blacklisted by the guild.
I was deep in thought. I didn't notice something tap my leg, I looked down to see Pebble looking up at me.
"Oh hey Pebble '' I greeted, lifting him up on the table as I looked around to see everyone calm down and some are even leaving now, those of Loki familia are still eating but few are watching Loki with me.
Pebble starts to yawn as he rubs his eyes looking tied.
"Ohhh that thing is too cute, and so is life-like too" Loki said to Pebble who didn't notice it as he just lay on my hand slowly drifting to sleep.
"Everyone's gonna love this thing, when we get home, Hey can I snuggle with it?" Loki reached out to Pebble, and for me everything just stopped.
She thinks I'm already joining her, thinking she owns not just me but Pebble as well. Time slowed down as I glared at that infuriating grin, looking like she hit the jackpot with on just getting me but Pebble as well.
Her hand goes across the table reaching for Pebble and something in me snapped.
And I pull out my Knife.

Silent was heard as Loki's eyes fully opened, revealing her red pupils to see a bone-like knife in-between her two fingers. Both she and those in her familia are beyond shocked that anyone would raise a knife at a god.
Magnus just stared at her with unblinking eyes with nothing but controlled rage. Loki's grin dropped quickly and for a moment looked afraid.
'hhhhhh' A chuckle escapes her lips as she sees the knife in-between her fingers "Ya just get more and more interesting and dangerous too, I like it" She grins at Magnus who is still glaring at her.
"No"
Loki's grin drops fast.
"If I join a Familia," I spat out every word like bile at the God, "It will be my choice, and not you and any other god will take that choice away just cause you learn my secret." Pulling my knife out of the table to pocket it.
"At the rate ya goin', you'll die," Loki states flatly, no grin but a serious frown, "Do ya-"
"My life isn't your concern and don't you ever call Pebble a thing again" I spat out towards the Goddess whose eyes open slightly at my malice and wrath, I stood up from my chair and sent it hurtling back.
"Farewell Goddess of Mischief." Without waiting for her answer, I headed back upstairs with Pebble sleeping in my arms.
In a daze, I make my way to my room. It took me a while to take the key out of my inventory and open the door. Walking through the door, I close it shut and lock it, I take a deep breath to calm me down. The look at Pebble tuck within my arms as he snuggles into me.
I smile at him, and I put him into his little bed in my bed. And put a little cloth over him to cover him.
I am so mentally exhausted, dealing with a god is annoying. But that's not the worst of it.
"Oh, I am so fucked." I put my hands on my head and sit on the bed. I need to think of something.

Still she is right about one thing: I need to get stronger if I want to survive deeper in the dungeon. My Magic and shield can make me take a hit but give it back but I haven't levelled up at all.

I use my other hand to try and shape it. feeling it move and turn as I start to spin the ball of energy spin faster and faster.
Anime and manga can give anyone ideas, trying to make a Rasengan is more difficult than they show. While I can use it when I concentrate it takes about 30-60 seconds to take it. And in the dungeon seconds could be a death so I need more power and control. I have my Gauntlets and runes but I need more.
