Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. You're all very welcome to the Mystical Universe, the new universe of the Korra-verse. I know I've written some Korra Book 2 stories, but I'd thought I like to retell them in different universes, and I just feel like it.

This universe is based on one of my artworks on DeviantArt. And there's gonna be some songs if you wouldn't mind.

Now, just sit back, relax, fast in your seat belt, and enjoy the fanfic.

WARNING: I DO NOT OWN LEGEND OF KORRA OR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS.

Earth. Fire. Air. Water.

Once upon a time, Avatar Aang heroically ended the Hundred Year War, and defeated the mad Fire Lord Ozai. Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Zuko transformed the Fire Nation colonies into the United Republic of Nations, a society where benders and nonbenders from all over the world could live and thrive together in peace and harmony.

They named the capital of this great land, Republic City. Avatar Aang accomplished many remarkable things in his life.

Sometime later, in the Northern Water Tribe, the young waterbender Tonraq was born in there to the chief of the Water Tribes, hailing from a long line of chiefs. He later became the older brother of twins, Unalaq and Sarlaq. As the chief's firstborn, Tonraq was next in line to become chief of the tribe. He grew up to be a powerful waterbending master and became the general of the Northern troops.

Tonraq was alerted that the tribe's capital of Agna Qel'a was under attack by marauding barbarians, and he immediately led his warriors into battle, chasing the invaders out of the city and into an isolated forest.

The barbarians believed that they would not be attacked on what many perceived to be holy ground, but Tonraq ordered his troops to attack anyway.

They managed to capture the barbarians, though had destroyed the forest in the process, and by doing so, unknowingly set loose angry spirits. That night, Tonraq awoke to the sounds of Agna Qel'a being attacked by the vengeful spirits.

He immediately sprung to action, though he was proved to be futile against the hostile entities. Although Unalaq managed to calm the spirits down and guided them back to the forest with his spritbending.

Tonraq was banished from the North by the chief, his father, as he was the cause of much destruction. He lived in exile to the South.

His birthright as heir to the throne was revoked and passed to Unalaq. But that was not the opportunity for his twin brother… Sarlaq.

He was not born a waterbender, but was born with great magic powers, as a warlock. Sarlaq's only love was his powers, and he was filled with such evil in his soul. He plans to take over the entire nations, by means of dark magic. He attempted to assassinate his own father, but Unalaq stopped him. And exposed his plans to overthrow the world rulers.

For that, Sarlaq was forever banished as well. But he vows to return to have revenge, and rule the world.

Sadly, Avatar Aang's time in this world came to an end. And like the cycle of the seasons, the cycle of the Avatar began anew.

In the Southern Water Tribe, Tonraq married Senna, and they have a daughter, who is none other than the next Avatar after Aang. The one who can master all elements, and bring balance to the world. Korra.

In the Northern Water Tribe, in the palace, where Unalaq was entering his chambers. He was thinking about something. His wife Malina walked to him.

"Unalaq, are you gonna come to bed?" she asked.

"I'll be in a moment, dear." Unalaq said. "I have to finish something."

"You've said that every night." Malina said. "Are you still worried about your brother?"

Unalaq sighed. "Tonraq is still…"

"I meant Sarlaq." Malina corrected her husband. "He's no threat to us, Unalaq."

"He's filled with dark magic, Malina. He tried to murder our father. He cannot be trusted." Unalaq said. "What I have to do with Vaatu is the only way to make sure he will not take away everything important to me."

"Even me, Eska and Desna?" Malina said.

Unalaq walked to his wife and hugged her. "I cannot lose you, my love. What I do to bring balance to spirits and humans, I do it for them, us. Please try to understand."

Malina knew that Unalaq was very devoted to all spirits. He dreamed to unite the Northern and Southern Water Tribes as one. And his vision to bring balance to spirits and humans.

"All right, Unalaq. I trust you." Malina said.

"I know you do." Unalaq said before kissing Malina's cheek. "I'll be in bed in a minute."

Malina walked back to the bedchambers. Unalaq meditates himself to enter his spirit to the Spirit World.

Then, in a dark unknown location, Unalaq was in a crystal ball. And a shadowy figure with a hat was watching through the crystal ball. This warlock was Unalaq's twin brother Sarlaq.

He chuckled at his brother. "Now, what is my brother up to?" he wondered. "Meditating to the Spirit World? Well, let's see what he's looking for, so I could use it against him."

He walked to his book cupboard where his spellbooks were. He was trying to find the one he was looking for.

"Blast. I'm such a pudding-head." Sarlaq said. "Where did I put that book?"

He searched until he found it.

"Oh, there's the one."

He flipped the pages to look for a spell that can transfer him to the Spirit World.

"Here it is." Sarlaq said. "Now, let's go to the Spirit World."

He sat down in his fancy chair to perform the spell.

"By the essence of the Ancient Witches, make thy powers glow, transfer me to where I wish to go."

The spell had transferred Sarlaq to the Spirit World. He hides behind the sharp boulder, and he saw his brother standing near the Tree of Time.

Sarlaq did not believe what he had saw. "I do not believe it. It's him."

Inside the tree was Vaatu, the Spirit of Darkness and Chaos. He has been imprisoned by the first and original Avatar ten, thousand years ago.

"You called, Vaatu?" Unalaq asked.

"The time is coming. I can feel the Harmonic Convergence coming soon." Vaatu said.

"Truly?" Unalaq asked.

"Yes." Vaatu answered.

"Then we have to prepare for the Convergence." Unalaq said.

"Yes, make sure your niece opens the two spirit portals, and with them opened, Harmonic Convergence shall come, and I will be free at last." Vaatu said.

"And we will become one as a Dark Avatar." Unalaq said evilly.

"If that's your wish, very well." Vaatu said. "As long as I finally get my revenge on Raava for imprisoning me."

"We will change the world." Unalaq said.

"Yes, once I destroy Raava, ten, thousand years of darkness shall begin in the entire world." Vaatu said.

Vaatu laughed evilly in the tree, Sarlaq was still hidden behind the rock, and he was amazed with his brother's diabolical plan. He had no idea that his brother wanted to be a new Avatar like Aang and any Avatar before him.

"Dark Avatar? Two Avatars? Two Avatar Spirits. That's interesting." Sarlaq said to himself.

"I'll go to the South in one day." Unalaq said.

"Good. Make sure the Avatar does not know what me, or Harmonic Convergence.' Vaatu ordered.

"As you wish, Vaatu." Unalaq said before he disappeared to return to his physical body.

"You, a Dark Avatar, Unnie? Well, we'll see about that." Sarlaq said before magical smoke appeared around him.

The smoke transferred Sarlaq back to his lair.

"He'll regret the day he stole my throne from me. Banishing me here." Sarlaq said. "Very soon, I shall take my revenge on him, or my name isn't Sarlaq. King of the world."

The warlock looked into the ancient history books he stole from Wan Shi Tong's library, even the spirit Wan Shi Tong was afraid to fight against the devious warlock himself. He flipped the pages to find the information of Raava and Vaatu until he found it.

"Ah, here they are." Sarlaq said. "Let's see."

He read everything about Raava and Vaatu. He was fascinated about what they do with the balance of good and evil.

"Powerful and ancient, they are." Sarlaq said amused. "So, Raava is the one who started the Avatar Cycle. How remarkable."

Then he looked into his crystal ball and sees the image of his niece Korra, the current Avatar after Aang.

"If I knew my spiritual twin, he'll manipulate our beloved niece to do his dirty work to free Vaatu." Sarlaq said crossly. "And he can be a new Avatar and bring eternal darkness to both worlds."

The evil warlock had a thought in his dark mind to dethrone Unalaq. A plan to take over the world. He placed his hands on his crystal ball, staring at the image of Korra.

"Hmm. These two ancient spirits, and the Avatar gives me a great idea to beat Unalaq… Hm-hm-hm-hm… An idea that has a sting to it. Once I get the best of my brothers, everything they own, everything they love… will be mine."

Sarlaq chuckled softly, then he laughed evilly in his own humour of evil, and his laugh went loudly in his lair.

Meanwhile, at the ocean, a boat was sailing in rough waters, its horn blaring in the darkness. Two sailors were looking out over the water from the top of their boat.

"This your first watch?" the old salt asked.

"Mm-hmm." the greenhorn said.

"Well then, better keep your eyes peeled, laddie. Ya never know what creatures lurk in the murky depths." Old Salt said with a scary tone. The younger sailor gasps and looks overboard, while the older one chuckles as he walks off, smiling eerily.

High above the ship, as a large, squid-like spirit swims beneath the boat, its many tentacles trailing behind it.

"Uh, sir!" the greenhorn fearfully shouts.

"What?" the old salt askes.

A tentacle appears and snatches the older sailor from the boat.

"Man overboard! Man overboard!" greenhorn shouts.

The older sailor was dragged into the water, as several more tentacles appear and begin grabbing the boat, slowly dragging it into the water.

The sky was illuminating with the laughing Vaatu's form in the sky.

"I'll get you, Raava, and you're little Avatar, too."

He laughed evilly as his plan would be complete. His image vanished from the sky while his laugh faded.

That was only the start. I thought it was a good idea giving Unalaq a twin brother who is more eviller than he is in this new universe.

Chapter 2 will be coming.
