Unexpected Discovery of Friendly Penny!
Team RWBY and JNPR are sitting in the classroom as they listen to Professor Port telling the students of one his tales with a little Grimm lesson, the lecture was boring that Yang and Nora almost fell asleep from them until finally the bell rang as class has ended.
"Finally! I didn't think I was going to make it through the whole class." Nora exclaimed.
"I normally don't like talking bad about the teachers, but Professor Port needs to take his lessons seriously." Ren said.
"Well, at least we won't have to hear of his babbling words for the rest of the day." Yang pointed out.
"Yeah, today is the day we go on our own mission!" Ruby cheered.
(RWBY's Room)
KNOCK KNOCK!
"Ruby, it's us." Jaune called out from outside the room.
"Come in!" Ruby said.
Jaune and his team enters the room.
"Hey guys, you ready go out and bust some-whoa!" Jaune surprised of seeing team RWBY in completely different outfits.
Ruby's outfit is a long-sleeve, light gray shirt with black belted cuffs near the ends of the sleeves. Over top of the gray shirt is a black pinafore with two vertical lines of red stitching that resemble the lacing on a corset. She wears a red skirt with a large black print of her emblem on the side and matching black tulle underneath. Her stockings and shoes remain the same as her original outfit, though the boots lack the red trim that decorated the top. A few pieces of metal arranged in the shape of a rose are attached to the shoulder of her left sleeve, and her cloak's hood has been wrapped around her neck in a scarf-like fashion, while the rest hangs down like normal.
Weiss's new look is a white, double-breasted pea coat with black piping, cuffs, and buttons over a white, pleated full skirt with black lace trim. She also wears a pair of white, thigh-high boots with black heels and lace-topped black stockings.
Blake is now wearing a white, v-neck, zip-up crop shirt with a black hem and three-quarter sleeves. Her emblem is printed in off-white on the left side of the shirt. She wears black pants that have a vertical gray stripe on the outer side of each leg and a black belt. Attached to the rear of the belt is a black piece of fabric that covers her from hip to hip. Underneath this is a longer, translucent, purple piece of fabric. She also wears black high-heel boots with two straps and buckles and purple underoles, reaching to mid-calf. She retains the black ribbons on her forearms and her black bow.
Yang's new look is a deep-collared cream vest worn over a low cut black shirt; both are covered by a dark gray shrug with a raised collar, three-quarter sleeves adorned with a single black stripe down the outside of each sleeve, and gold cuffs. A black mini skirt is worn under the cream vest. A pair of crooked black belts with gold accents are slung around her hip, with a purple piece of fabric attached to the left-rear section of the lower belt. She wears thigh high stockings attached to her miniskirt by garter-belts on the front and back of each thigh, decorated with four golden studs above her knee and her emblem on the outside of each thigh in gold. She also wears black ankle boots with multiple buckles and white ribbons on the back tied in a bow. Around her neck is a purple pendant set in silver.
"I didn't think a dress code would be needed for the investigation." Pyrrha joked a little.
"Sorry, we didn't expect you guys to join us and we only had enough time for just us." Ruby explained.
"You guys look damn cool in them!" Nora complimented.
"Thanks, now let's rock the streets of Vale!" Yang excited.
"I'm glad to see we're taking this so seriously." Weiss said sarcastically.
"Hey, we've got a plan! That's... moderately serious." Yang said.
"Right. Everyone remember their roles?" Ruby asked.
"You, Jaune, Pyrrha, and I will head to the CCT and check the Schnee records for any other Dust robberies or inconsistencies. Seeing as I'm in the family, it shouldn't be a problem." Weiss explained her part.
"The White Fang has regular faction meetings to hand out orders and recruit new members. If I can get in, I can hopefully find out what they're planning." Blake mentioned.
"And I'll be with you to help." Ren said walking up to Blake.
"I have an old friend on the shady side of town that typically knows everything going on in Vale. Getting information out of him shouldn't be too hard..." Yang smirked.
"Does it involve breaking legs?" Nora asked smirking.
"If he doesn't talk." Yang said.
"Okay, we meet up with Yang and Nora later tonight to go over what we found and see if we can piece together their plan." Jaune said.
"Let's do this, team!" Ruby cheered.
"Yeah!"
Both teams are surprise of the new voice and turn their sight to the window shock to see Sun hanging upside-down by his tail.
"Sun!" Blake gasped.
"How did you get up there?" Yang asked.
"Ah, it's easy; I do it all the time." Sun answered.
"You do what?" Weiss asked a little angry.
"I climb trees all the time!" Sun said more specifically as he flips himself into the room.
"That makes sense." Nora said.
"So, are we finally getting back at that Torchwick guy?" Sun asked as he want in on their investigation.
"Sorry Sun, but we're going as we are, and we don't want anyone else coming." Blake said.
"Yes, we do not wish to put our friends in danger." Pyrrha added.
"Psh! That's dumb! We should always get friends involved! That's why I brought Neptune!" Sun pointed at the window.
Everyone poked their heads out the window and saw Neptune leaning his back on the side with his feet on the narrow edge.
"Sup." Neptune greeted.
"How did you get up here?" Ruby and Nora asked.
"I have my ways. Seriously, though, can I come in? We're like, really high up right now." Neptune said looking a little scared.
"Alright, I'll go with Weiss, Jaune, and Pyrrha; Sun, you can go with Blake and Ren. And Neptune, you can go with Yang and Nora." Ruby adjusted the team plan.
"Actually Ruby, I was thinking Neptune can come with us and Jaune can go Yang and Nora." Weiss suggested.
"Why?" Ruby asked.
"Does it really matter who goes with whom?" Nora asked too.
"Well, I just thought…" Weiss tried to think of a reason to explain without revealing her crush on Neptune.
"Come on guys, we better get going while we still can." Jaune said as everyone start leaving the room as Weiss winces like a sad puppy.
(Vale CCT)
Ruby, Jaune, Weiss, and Pyrrha have made their way to the tower in Vale as they admire the tall and cool-looking structure.
"Woooow! I forget how big the Transmit tower looks up close!" Ruby admired.
"You should see the one in Atlas." Weiss said.
"I believe that is the first commutation tower built to make contact throughout Remnant." Pyrrha recalled reading about this in the history book.
"Correct. Atlas developed the Cross Continental Transmit System to allow the four kingdoms to communicate with one another. It was their gift to the world after the Great War." Weiss explained.
"I just know they have good wifi." Jaune said.
"Oooh, look at me! My name's Weiss! I know facts! I'm rich!" Ruby mimicked Weiss silly.
"Would the lady like some sugar on her tea?" Jaune acted as a butler making Ruby and Pyrrha giggles.
"Don't be a pest! Besides, the only reason we're here is because you like the tower so much! We could have just as easily made a call from the library!" Weiss reminded.
"I know, but it's so coool! Ooh, I'm going to take a picture!" Ruby grabbed her Scroll, but from her excitement it launches from her hand and bounce on the ground until it stop at the foot of a familiar face.
"Oh, you drop this." Penny said holding Ruby's Scroll.
"Penny?!" Ruby surprised and runs to the confuse Penny.
"Where have you been? We haven't seen you since that night at the docks!" Ruby asked.
"S-Sorry. I think you're confused. Uh... I've got to go!" Penny hiccupped before leaving.
"That's odd, it's almost like Penny was trying to forget about us." Jaune stated.
"But why?" Pyrrha asked.
"I don't know, but I'm going to find out." Ruby determined to see what is wrong with her friend as she walks to Penny's direction.
"I'm going with Ruby; you and Weiss make the call in the tower." Jaune instructed.
"Be careful." Pyrrha said before kissing him on the lips for a second.
"You too." Jaune smiled and ran after Ruby to find Penny.
"Wait! What about the mission?" Weiss asked and gets angry.
"Come on." Pyrrha helped Weiss go into the tower.
Jaune and Ruby caught up to Penny in a street.
"Penny, wait! We were really worry about you, we haven't seen you around for weeks." Jaune said.
"There seems to be a... misunderstanding." Penny continued to walk away from Jaune and Ruby.
"Penny, stop! Why are you ignoring us?" Jaune asked, but Penny didn't answer as she looks away and continue walking then Ruby grab her arm.
"Look, I don't know what's wrong, but you have to listen to me! Those guys we fought at the docks, we think they're up to something big, something bad! I need you to tell me what happened to you that night! Please... As a friend." Ruby pleaded.
Seeing Ruby with those innocent eyes, Penny knew she could not continue lying to her first friend since becoming to Vale.
"It isn't safe to talk here." Penny whispered as she looks around making sure no one listening to them.
(With Weiss and Pyrrha)
Weiss and Pyrrha are inside the elevator of the tower.
"Hello. Welcome to the CCT. How may I help you?" CCT AI asked.
"We'd like to go to the communications room, please." Weiss requested.
"Absolutely. Could you please place your Scroll on the terminal to verify your identity?" CCT AI asked, Weiss and Pyrrha show their ID.
"Perfect! Thank you, Miss Schnee, Miss Nikos." CCT AI said.
Soon, Weiss and Pyrrha made their way to the communication room and Weiss has started calling the SCD until a Schnee Corp Operator answer.
"Thank you for calling the Atlas- Oh! Miss Schnee! Good afternoon! Would you like me to patch you through to your father? I think your sister Winter might be here as well." The SCD Operator mentioned.
"No, thank you! I was actually wondering if you could find some files for me. I've compiled a short list." Weiss placed her Scroll in the slot on the keyboard.
"I see. If you don't mind... what may I ask is this for?" The operator asked.
"School project." Weiss answered.
"Um... There are some sensitive documents on this list, ma'am." The operator said.
"Well, then, I'll be sure to treat them with care." Weiss smiled innocently.
"Right... Very well. The data is being transferred to your Scroll now." The operator informed.
"Wonderful! That will be all, then." Weiss nodded.
"Are you sure you wouldn't like me to patch you through to your father before you go?" The operator asked.
"Yes, I'm sure." Weiss said, Pyrrha notices how Weiss was hesitated to answer.
"Well then, have a nice day." The operator said before hanging up.
"I take it you and your father don't have a nice history growing up." Pyrrha guessed.
Weiss didn't say anything as she looks at her reflection in the computer screen.
(With Jaune, Ruby, and Penny)
Jaune and Ruby are walking together with Penny.
"I wish I could help you, Ruby, but I don't know anything about those men." Penny said.
"Well, what happened to you that night? We were all together, and then you just disappeared! Were you kidnapped?" Ruby asked worry.
"Oh no, nothing like that." Penny assured.
"Then what happened to you?" Jaune asked.
"I've never been to another kingdom before. My father asked me not to venture out too far, but... You have to understand, my father loves me very much; he just worries a lot." Penny explained.
"I know the feeling with overprotective parents." Jaune chuckled.
"Me too. But why didn't you let us know you were okay?" Ruby wondered.
"I... was asked not to talk to you. Or Weiss. Or Blake. Or Yang. Anybody, really." Penny answered.
"Something tells me it wasn't your father." Jaune said.
"You are correct." Penny nodded.
Then the three saw a crowd of people in front of a stage with a hologram of General Ironwood giving a presentation.
"The AK-130 has been a standard security model of Remnant for several years, and they have done a fine job. Wouldn't you agree? Wouldn't you agree?" James asked and the people claps.
"But... the kingdom of Atlas is a kingdom of innovation, and 'fine'... Well, that's just not good enough, is it? Presenting... the Atlesian Knight-200!" James showed the new Atlas robot soldiers.
"They look cool." Jaune impressed as Ruby is, but Penny is actually being scared seeing the soldiers.
"Smarter, sleeker, and admittedly, a little less scary. These models will become active later this year, but they won't be alone! Now, the Atlesian Military has always supported the idea of removing men from the dangers of the battlefield. However, there are still many situations that will undoubtedly require... a human touch." James explained.
"Ruby. Jaune." Penny scared.
"So, our kingdom's greatest minds, in cooperation with the Schnee Dust Company, are proud to introduce... the Atlesian Paladin! Now, we couldn't have them here for you today, but these mechanized battle suits will be seen defending the borders of our kingdom within the year!" James introduced the new giant Atlas mech.
"Guys. Maybe we should go somewhere else." Penny suggested nervous as she saw the two Atlas soldiers spotted her than she ran away.
"Penny! Wait! Where are you going?" Ruby ran after her with Jaune behind.
Jaune look back at the soldiers and getting an idea that can get them off their tail for a while.
"Chaos Control" Jaune teleported the Atlas soldiers to the dock where they fell into the water.
The soldiers swam back up and look at each other confuse of what just happened.
Back with Jaune and Ruby, they chase after the run away Penny though Ruby trip and fell in the middle of the street as a truck is coming at her. Jaune saw this and was about to use his Chaos power, but Penny ran pass him fast and stood in front of Ruby and stop the truck with her two hands as the ground beneath Penny's feet crack and crumble.
"Whoa!" Jaune shocked.
"Penny?" Ruby surprised.
"Are you okay?" Penny asked the driver who nodded in response.
Then the bystanders started gathering around as they are surprise that this girl was able to stop the truck by herself like she's superhero or something one, Penny became scared and ran away again as Jaune and Ruby chase after her again.
Penny stop inside an alleyway as Jaune and Ruby caught up to her.
"Penny! Please! What is going on?! Why are you running? How did you do that?!" Ruby asked shock.
"I-I can't! Everything's fine! I-I don't want to talk about it!" Penny hiccupped and hide her hands under her armpits.
"Penny, if you can just tell me what's wrong, we can help you!" Ruby said.
"No! No, no! You wouldn't understand..." Penny tried to retreat, but Jaune was already behind her.
"Please Penny, we're your friends and we're not going to stop helping you until you're better." Jaune said strongly.
Penny felt touch by Jaune's words and look to Ruby.
"You two are my friend, right? You promise you're my friend?!" Penny asked.
"We promise." Ruby determined.
"Ruby, Jaune… I'm not a real girl." Penny revealed her hands that under her skin is pure metal shocking Jaune and Ruby.

Jaune and Ruby have met Penny again after so long and now they have learned her biggest secret that she has been hiding, they're in for a big surprise of what Penny has to tell them about herself while the others are doing their investigation. Hope you like how I made team JNPR part of the investigation team, and that it was funny of how Jaune made the two Atlas soldiers fell in the ocean at the dock.
