Saying Goodbye for Separate Hunter Missions
"Say Ruby, is something different about you today?" Yang asked as team RWBY are making their way to the dock where they'll meet the Huntsman, they'll meet for their first mission.
"What makes you say that?" Ruby asked back.
"I don't know, you just seem… happier than usual and you have a scent that you experience something great." Yang guessed with a grin.
This causes Ruby to flinch with her face turning a little red fearing that her older sister may have already figured out she just had sex with Jaune earlier, and she would hear no end from the teasing and awful puns of Yang know how she is when gets in the mood for that.
However, what she doesn't know is that Yang is already getting the idea they had sex and decided to keep quiet to make it fun. And hoping Jaune will go for her too.
"Well, maybe but I'm not telling you anything!" Ruby said looking away with her eyes close.
"Really, then I wonder if Jaune will let me in on whatever you were helping him with." Yang smirked as she turns her head to Jaune along with the rest of Team JNPR.
"I could tell you, but I think Ruby wants it to be quiet for a while until after the mission for us to see each other again." Jaune said causing Ruby to silently gasp.
"(Jaune, you better not tell Yang!)" Ruby mentally begged.
Jaune let out a soft chuckle seeing how cute Ruby is being when being embarrassed and shy of letting others know about how they just up their love relationship, and he has been planning to tell Yang about it later, after he starts to make that girl fall for him that is.
"So, you guys excited for your first mission?" Nora asked smirking.
"You bet we are! We're going to blow those Grimms away!" Yang excited pumping up her fists.
"Will you please try to be cautious? The Huntsman we're shadowing is in charge of the mission and we can't do anything to screw this up." Weiss advised.
"She's right, he'll sent us back here if we do something that would unpleased him." Blake nodded.
"I know, we're gonna do our best on this mission while trying to search for the bad guy's secret hideout!" Ruby determined.
"Just because with the Huntsman, he might not like one of you guys going off without permission and doing something behind his back." Jaune warned.
"I'm sure the guy will be all relax and cool." Yang smirked.
"It would be best to behave around him as well." Weiss said.
"Hello, girls!" A voice said.
"Oh, hey there—What?!" Ruby gasped of seeing the Huntsman.
In fact, the rest of her team and JNPR all stop to look shock upon seeing the Huntsman team RWBY will be going with on their first mission for the southeast area, but they had really hoped this guy isn't the Huntsman and probably just waiting for the real one to come for them.
"Who's ready to fight for their lives?" Bartholomew Oobleck asked with a greeting smile.
"Guys, what am I looking at right now?" Nora asked.
Bartholomew Ooblecka man with messy green hair and brown eyes. His attire is disheveled: his white shirt partially tucked into his dark-green pants and its collar raised, showing a slack yellow tie, along with mismatched brown and black shoes. He also has round glasses that appear to be opaque. He also wears a long brown great coat, a khaki buttoned safari shirt and a pith helmet along with a rather large backpack.
"Professor Oobleck?" Weiss wanted to make sure this is real.
"You're the Huntsman assigned for team RWBY?" Jaune asked.
"Indeed, I am, and I'm afraid those bags won't be necessary, girls, seeing as you've opted to shadow a Huntsman on what is now essentially a reconnaissance mission. I can assure you; we will not be establishing a single base of operations; rather, we will be traversing several miles of hazardous wasteland and making camp in any defendable locations we may stumble upon. I packed all of our essentials myself, plotted our air course, and readied the airship. And... It's Doctor Oobleck. I didn't earn the PhD for fun, thank you very much!" Bartholomew explained, zooming at Weiss's face and zooms away.
"Ren, is this really okay?" Jaune asked.
"Well, I believe Doctor Oobleck may have some experience as a Huntsman that got him the love for history and such." Ren guessed though a little worried.
"Team JNPR, are you expecting to meet your Huntsman or Huntress for your mission at this moment?" Bartholomew asked.
"Oh no, we're just here to wish team RWBY good luck on their mission while we wait for ours tomorrow." Pyrrha answered.
"I see, then be sure to get yourself ready and plenty of rest until then." Bartholomew nodded and turned his attention to RWBY.
"Come now, children; according to my schedule, we are already three minutes behind!" Bartholomew said before zooming to the Bullhead.
"Well, alright, then! Looks like we're going to save the world with Doctor Oooobleck- okay yeah when you say it out loud it sounds worse." Ruby sighed.
"I know our history teacher doesn't look like it, but I'm sure he got more than the brains in that head of his. He's a Huntsman for a reason." Jaune pointed out.
"It's true, you cannot truly judge something until you see that one is capable of with your own eyes than what you may already know." Ren stated.
"True, maybe Oobleck could help us with our own mission, without letting him know, of course." Blake agreed.
"Of course, you guys get to go now while we have to wait until tomorrow for our mission to start." Nora sighed.
"Then you can party with us tonight!" Neptune said as he and Sun walks up to them.
"Got a mission for your team already?" Jaune asked.
"Totally! We're shadowing a crime specialist. All inner-city detectives stuff. We get junior badges." Neptune explained.
"Cool! I always wanted my own junior badges!" Jaune said awestruck.
"Maybe the sheriff we'll be shadowing will give us badges too!" Nora excited.
"We normally go to the city with you guys, which means stuff's always exploding and junk, so we thought this might be a better way to check out the kingdom when it's, you know... normal." Sun stated a little making Ruby chuckle nervously.
"Four minutes, ladies!" Bartholomew shouted.
"You girls better get going." Jaune said.
"We sure will, wish us luck!" Ruby placed her hand outward, and everyone places their hands on top of hers for an awesome farewell.
Ruby looks up at Jaune with her cute smile with a thought of something she should do right now before getting on the Bullhead with her team and Oobleck.
She walks up to Jaune getting on the tips of her toes to reach him for the kiss on the lips which the Ultimate Arc boy saw this coming and welcome the kiss with his own lean, but now much because he wanted for Ruby to do this on her own.
"Hey, I want one too!" Yang pulled Ruby off and smack her lips onto Jaune's for her own kissing time.
"Honestly…" Weiss exclaimed as she looks away and Blake just stares on feeling a little blush.
"Little Arc is now a man." Neptune commented as Sun nods and they fist-bump.
(One Bullhead Ride)
Bartholomew and team RWBY rides the Bullhead heading to the area they will be starting the mission getting themselves mentally ready, but the quiet is feeling so bored that she decided to talk with the history teacher about something.
"I guess I just never saw you as much of a fighter." Yang said.
"I admit I fancy myself more of an intellectual, but I can assure you, as a Huntsman, I've had my fair share of tussles." Bartholomew said.
"Like the mushrooms?" Ruby confused.
"Those are truffles." Blake said.
"Like the sprouts?" Ruby asked, confuse again.
"Those are Brussels." Yang said.
"Besides, given my expertise in the field of history as well as my dabblings in the archaeological surveys, our dear headmaster saw fit to assign me to this particular... assignment!" Bartholomew smiled.
"What does history have to do with this?" Weiss asked and Bartholomew turned sharply towards her.
"Why, what a preposterous question, you silly girl! Why, history is the backbone of our very society! And the liver! Probably the kidneys, if I were to wager." Bartholomew stated.
"And that means…?" Weiss puzzled.
"The southeast quadrant outside of Vale is home to wild forests and deep caves, but it is also the location to one of the kingdom's greatest failures!" Bartholomew mentioned.
"Mountain Glenn." Ruby realized what the Doctor is saying.
"That's right! It was an expansion of Vale... but in the end it was overrun by Grimm and fenced off from the rest of the city." Yang remembered learning about that.
"Correct! And now it stands abandoned as a dark reminder." Bartholomew said.
"And a likely place for a hideout." Blake believed.
"Precisely!" Bartholomew nodded as he adjusts his glasses.
"(Let's hope this mission will be okay, I want to come back in one piece for Jaune.)" Ruby thought looked back at the direction of Beacon thinking about Jaune.
(With Jaune and Nora)
"139… 140… 141… 142…" Nora grunted doing some weight Barbell Back Squats.
"Wow, you really keep on going, do you, Nora?" Jaune chuckled while doing his own barbell lifting on his back.
"Duh, got to keep myself in tiptop shape to be ready for anything with legs to crush with my Thunder Thighs!" Nora smirked and slammed one foot on the floor like a sumo wrestler.
"I can see that and admire what I'm seeing." Jaune smirked looking at Nora's sexy Thunder Booty close to him on the left.
"But you should also know when to stop as well." Jaune said as he sat the barbell down.
"Wanting to get stronger is great and having some good motivation to go for more strength is good at times, but there are times when getting too strong can cause some harm to yourself than getting better results." Jaune pointed out.
"Yeah, yeah, train too hard and you'll end up breaking yourself up. You're not the first to tell me that." Nora chuckled rolling her eyes.
"Would that guy be Ren by any chance?" Jaune asked.
"You know it!" Nora nodded.
"Well then, I'm glad he was the one being by your side otherwise you might not even be here with that cute butt of yours." Jaune surprisingly light spanked Nora's butt.
Feeling her butt being touch like that causes her to jump in shock with the barbell being thrown straight up at embedded into the ceiling.
"H-Hey, didn't your mom tell you to keep your hands to yourself?" Nora asked blushing of embarrassment.
"Sorry, didn't think you would be fazed by that pat considered how much muscles you have." Jaune chuckled.
"Honestly, I thought you would have the buns of steel or something as strong." Jaune commented.
"Well, I'm still working on that, but don't touch me like that again or else I'll break your legs." Nora warned cracking her knuckles.
"Does that mean I need a special permission to give you a gentle touch?" Jaune asked with a handsome wink.
Nora's eyes widen of shock that her fearless leader is now being a bold leader of trying to flirt with her which causes her heart to beat like crazy, maybe missed a beat or two, and her cheeks are blushing into red almost the same as Ruby's cloak. She hadn't felt this way to any other man because Ren has been the only guy she loves, probably more than friends or each other like siblings.
But now she is suddenly getting this new feeling for Jaune, not like seeing him as a good leader to follow and someone like a brother she never had, this feeling is more than just that.
"Hey, can I ask you something?" Jaune said.
"Oh, huh, sure…" Nora hesitated in her sentence.
"Why do you want to become a Huntress?" Jaune asked.
"What?" Nora surprised of that sudden question.
"I know this is weird coming from me, but I thought about wanting to get to know my teammates more to deepen our bond and wanting to know the reason behind your actions." Jaune sat down on a bench.
"We know being a Hunter means to protect lives from the Grimm and other bad things, but I want to know the reason from the heart." Jaune smiled and patted the spot for Nora to sit next to him.
"Okay, wasn't expecting that, but I guess I can tell you a little story." Nora decided to go with it and sat next to him.
"I had the hardest time growing up when I was little, my mom and I were attacked by Grimms, and she ran away leaving me behind without ever looking back." Nora revealed.
"That was cold of her, even when there were Grimms attacking that is no reason to abandon someone close to you." Jaune said looking angry of this bitch who dare calls herself a mother.
"I turned up in a town where Ren grew up, next thing I knew Grimms suddenly attacked killing everyone until I was saved by Ren, and we managed to survivor. In fact, it was Ren who gave me the thought of using a hammer as my main weapon." Nora explained about her past.
"We grew up together, always being together no matter what, and we also thought of the goals of becoming Hunters to prevent the same horror that happened to us." Nora mentioned.
"Like not letting a parent leave her kid behind." Jaune guessed.
"That's right, I want to be sure a family would at least stay together like how they're supposed to." Nora nodded.
"I see, thanks for telling me. I think I'm finally seeing more of you than I have before." Jaune smiled.
"Aw, you're making me blush." Nora chuckled.
"Well, now I think I'm gonna go talk with the others to hear what their own answer of being a Hunter is all about." Jaune said as he got up.
"Aren't you going to take a shower first?" Nora asked.
"I am, not going out all sticky from the workout. Did you want to see me shower?" Jaune asked teasing with a smirk.
"I'MGONNASHOWERNOWBYE!" Nora zoomed embarrassing with her face turning red toward the girls' shower.
"Wow, I didn't think there would be any other girl that would be embarrassed from teasing like Ruby. Maybe Velvet but thought Nora would take them a little better." Jaune chuckled.
(With Pyrrha)
Pyrrha is reading one of her favorite books in the room and has been giggling for a little while until she saw Jaune entering the room.
"Hey Pyrrha, bet you were glad to get into Beacon." Jaune said.
"I am, I would never have met everyone here and I don't even want to think about what my life would be if I didn't meet you!" Pyrrha nodded and kiss him on the lips.
"Me too? But I hope you don't mind me asking why did you decide on becoming a Huntress?" Jaune asked.
"You know about my past, how everyone keeps on saying that I'm too good for them and distance themselves from the top they placed me there in the first place. It was a lonely time for me." Pyrrha remembered those times how she was alone.
"I wanted to become a Huntress in hoping to show everyone that I am just like everyone else, a fellow human being and use that strength to protect the people they can feel what I'm feeling." Pyrrha revealed her reason.
"I see, seems like a good reason." Jaune said.
"But there is also…" Pyrrha pulled Jaune in for a lustful kissing session which he didn't mind.
"Wanting to spend more time with the Ultimate knight I have come to love." Pyrrha smiled.
(With Ren)
Ren is doing deep meditation on top of a large rock standing on only one finger.
"Can I help you?" Ren asked, didn't need to open his eyes to know it's Jaune next to him.
"Thought about asking a deep question like… what's your reason for becoming a Huntsman? Nora told me about how you two met and all. I hear the reason from your own words." Jaune explained.
Ren didn't say anything at first as he flip himself back right side and sat down.
"Ever since I lost my parents and my home, I felt weak that I couldn't do anything… But when I saved Nora, I knew it was a sign that I am met to be a protector. Someone who can save those lives so they wouldn't have to suffer through the same tragic fate as we had." Ren said.
"I can still remember that night, haunting me every day, but I'll push through with a strong will and calm mind." Ren believed as he looks up at the sky remembering his parents.
"I don't doubt that, and I hope you can count on your friends to help you whenever you're feeling down." Jaune reached out his fist at Ren.
"I will." Ren said fist-bumping with Jaune.

Team RWBY have gone off to Mountain Glenn to find the White Fang along with Bartholomew with his own way of helping, and Jaune decided to do his own questioning to his teammates of why they each want to become Hunters and got the answer that satisfy him in the long run.
