Author's Note: I'm thinking from this point on, I want to focus on all the clone boys and their relationships, so I'm turning the tables in this chapter and from now on we'll be following Rex and Ahsoka, Echo and his future relationships, and Fives and his future relationships, and potentially Kix and the others, too. I don't want to spoil anything right now, but I'm hoping it turns out really fun! Enjoy the sleepy cuddles in this chapter!

INT. ARC DORM - NIGHT

Echo tosses and turns in his bed. He frustratingly pulls the sheets closer. Then he changes his mind and kicks the sheets off. He internally screams out of frustration and sits up on the bed.

He can hear Fives snoring away peacefully. Echo groans and gets up, walking out of the ARC dorm with only his blacks on.

INT. HALLWAYS - NIGHT

Echo walks past the regular barracks. He peeks his head inside. Some men are in for the night, curled up and sleeping peacefully. Although, a lot of beds are empty. Probably because they're all on leave on Coruscant. Echo thinks about the boys drinking the night away at 79's.

Echo sighs and keeps walking down the hall. He reaches the Captain's quarters. Echo squints. Is he hearing things? He knocks on the door.

INT. CAPTAIN'S QUARTERS - NIGHT

Rex sits criss-cross on the floor in half blacks, half armor laughing his head off. Ahsoka sits next to him with laughing tears in her eyes.

REX
Did someone just knock?

Ahsoka uses the force and casually opens the door. Echo stands there with his head drooped down standing in his blacks. He looks very cozy but very tired.

ECHO
Rex?

Rex stands up and puts an arm around Echo.

REX
Is everything okay?

Rex guides him inside and sits him down at the edge of his bed. Ahsoka sits on the other side of Echo with a worried expression on her face. Echo gulps and looks down.

ECHO
(quietly)
I couldn't sleep.

Rex rubs his hand on Echo's back.

REX
Do you want to talk about it?

Echo stares at the floor and then closes his eyes, sighing. He looks over at Rex and leans his head on his shoulder. Rex grips him tighter.

REX
Do you want to tell me what's going on?

ECHO
(muffled)
I broke up with Mia.

Echo starts sobbing into Rex's shoulder, his chest heaving. Rex wraps both of his arms around his brother and holds him tight. Ahsoka puts a hand on Echo's back.

AHSOKA
I'll leave you two alone. This sounds like guy talk.

Rex smiles at Ahsoka as she stands up. Echo lifts a hand up and waves goodbye, his head still buried in Rex's shoulder. The door slides shut behind Ahsoka. Rex looks down at Echo, rubbing his back.

REX
You'll be okay.

ECHO
(sniffing)
I saw her kissing another man.

Echo wails, his tears soaking Rex's blacks. Rex closes his eyes, feeling his brother's pain. His eyes open suddenly.

REX
I have an idea.

Echo sits up curiously in Rex's arms.

REX
Follow me.

Rex pulls Echo to his feet.

INT. HALLWAYS - NIGHT

Rex pulls on Echo's hand, leading him out into the hallway. Echo looks down at the floor. Rex is now in his full blacks and holds a pillow.

They pass the ARC dorm.

INT. ARC DORM - NIGHT

Rex guides Echo inside, and grabs Echo's pillow.

REX
Fives! Wake up!

Fives rolls over in bed and groans.

FIVES
Captain?

REX
Get up. It's an emergency.

Fives leaps out of bed, reaching for his blasters. Rex puts a hand out to stop him.

REX
Not that kind of emergency. Grab your pillow and follow me.

FIVES
(yawns)
Okay.

INT. BARRACKS - NIGHT

Rex walks into the regular trooper barracks and turns on the light. Echo and Fives follow behind Rex. The other clones stir awake, groaning.

Rex climbs one of the upper bunks and crawls onto Hardcase's bed. Echo follows Rex. Fives climbs up onto Jesse's bed across from them.

Kix looks up from the bottom bunk.

KIX
Are you having a sleepover?

REX
Echo can't sleep so we're sleeping in here.

KIX
(sleepily)
Hmm.

REX
Can you turn off the lights, Kix?

Kix sleepily stands up and turns out the lights before climbing up with Jesse and Fives.

Jesse lies down on his bed with his arm propped up underneath his head. Fives lies down right beside him, and Kix curls up in a ball near their feet. On the other bed, Hardcase sits on his pillow as Echo sits in the center of the bed, staring nervously at Rex who sits at the foot of the bed with his knees up.

JESSE
Why can't you sleep, Echo?

Tears well up in Echo's eyes. He shakes in place.

ECHO
(whispers)
I had to break up with Mia.

Hardcase leans over Echo and gives him a giant hug. Echo sniffs and wipes his tears away, but the tears keep coming.

ECHO
She... She was... kissing another man.

Echo sobs into Hardcase's shoulder.

KIX
Aw, Echo, it'll be okay.

FIVES
(fists clenched)
Who's the guy? Let's teach him a lesson.

REX
Let's not, Fives.

ECHO
(sobbing)
I know she liked him back.

HARDCASE
You'll find a better girl.

ECHO
Was I not good enough for her?

All the boys shake their heads and mumble "No."

FIVES
You can do so much better than her, Echo.

Echo looks up at Fives and wipes his tears away.

ECHO
How? How could there be anyone better than her?

REX
Well, you could find a girl who actually stays with you.

Jesse, Hardcase, and Fives all stare at Rex with open mouths.

KIX
Ouch.

ECHO
(cracks a smile)
Thanks, Rex.

REX
I know you'll find the right girl.

Rex puts a hand on his brother's shoulder. Echo smiles and hugs his pillow.

ECHO
(whispers)
Thanks, guys.

HARDCASE
Get some sleep.

Hardcase scoots over so Echo can lie down next to him. Jesse throws a blanket over to Echo, and Rex spreads it out over him.

JESSE
Fives, there's too many people in this bed!

Rex looks over to see Jesse being spooned by Fives. Kix slides down off the bunk. Rex sighs and slides off of Hardcase's bunk.

Rex reaches up and pats Echo on the arm.

REX
Get some sleep, vod.

ECHO
(quietly)
Thank you, Rex. Thanks for doing this.

REX
Of course.

Rex smiles at Echo and then lies down under Jesse's bunk. Kix lies down in his own bottom bunk.

ECHO
Goodnight, everyone.

HARDCASE
Goodnight.

JESSE
Fives, if you touch me like that one more time-

FIVES
-Relax. I'm just copying Hardcase and Echo.

JESSE
I don't want to be hugged so tightly!

REX
Shut up.

KIX
Stop touching Jesse. He likes his space.

FIVES
Rex, I'm coming for you then.

REX
Oh no.

Echo smiles and closes his eyes, the warmth of sleep overcoming him. He doesn't even hear Fives climb down Jesse's bunk and lie down with Rex.

REX
Do you have to take up so much space?

FIVES
Get used to sleeping with another body in the bed.

REX
(sighs)
What are you talking about?

FIVES
(suggestive voice)
You know.

JESSE
He's talking about you and the Commander.

FIVES
(teasingly)
Oooh.

REX
Shut up.

KIX
Stop talking.

The rest of the boys drift peacefully off to sleep.
