I don't own Pokemon

11k word and 35 pages. I might have let this chapter get away from me.

I was too excited and could help myself from posting. We'll call this a rare Double Slap.

Cries of Pokegirls mixed in with the cicadas' loud drone. I had a clear cut goal in mind for the day. Find a goddamn road.

Several days had passed since Vulpix's rescue. In those days I was worried about her behavior. It seems whatever emotional high of the rescued had past quickly.

Waking up I saw her huddled, knees to chest as far away as she could get in the cave. I could see the wariness and distrust plain as day in her big blue eyes. I was a little hurt but I understood where she was coming from. She had gone from being hunted in the wild to a random cave with a trainer she didn't know.

I worked hard over the last several days to build trust with Vulpix. I made sure to respect her boundaries and let her come to me when she needed something. Luckily she didn't fight me on checking her wounds. Still I could tell whenever I interacted with her there was an uneasy current.

Cutiefly, on the other hand, got along with Vulpix like a house on fire. She was able to convince the cold Fox Pokegirl out of her shell at any point with anything. They played tag in the clearing, took naps through the day when I was working (damn those baskets why won't they weave!), and generally just being the best of friends.

I was a little miffed when she convinced Vulpix to prank me while I was taking a daily bath. Who knew water could get that cold that fast?

Antics aside, the last few days hadn't been near as productive as my first week due to the new dynamic brought by Vulpix's arrival. So now I was bound and determined to change that!

"If only I knew where the hell I was." I groaned. That actually earned a little giggle from the girls. We had set out early in the morning to catch as much travel time as possible.

I had been in pretty much every direction except for one, north of the waterfall. I had hesitated on going this way since I would have to scale the cliff the stream ran off of but now it was my only option. Hopefully I could find something along the way to tell me where I was.

Vulpix had been too weak to climb the cliff, most likely the chest wound. Cutiefly and I had convinced her to ride my back while I climbed the 10ft up. It was a little difficult, both the weight and the soft orbs pressing into my back distracting me but I was eventually able to reach the top to Cutiefly's cheers.

From there it was a simple process of following the river and marking trees with a sharp rock to leave a trail. The girls rushed ahead to play while we traveled and gave me ample time to think.

I've been here for a week and half and I'm just now dedicating myself to finding people. I really should have made that top priority instead of making a base. Still, my eyes drifted to Vulpix's white furry back. The marks, damage and bruises were gone with a steady diet and sleep. If I hadn't delayed she might have been hurt worse, even killed. It worked out in the end.

The walk was uneventful for all of 10 minutes when I heard a familiar and angry cry.

"MANKEY, Mankey, Key key Key!" I snapped my head towards the voices in the trees. Cutiefly returned to hover in front of me and Vulpix came back to my side, fear evident in her eyes. I took a chance and pulled her close to reassure her. It turned out to be the right move as she wrapped her arms around my waist and stopped shaking.

"Key, key, key!" I saw the 2 Mankey's from the fight with Poliwhirl. Thankfully, they were healed up nicely, the only damage from their battle still lingering was hair needing to be regrown where the Water Gun had stripped it.

The Pig Nose Pokegirls were in a tree, hollering and bouncing, it was obvious they were trying to intimidate us off. That or it was a war cry to set up for battle.

"Cutiefly, stay close, I don't know if they'll attack if we turn." Cutiefly nodded and Vulpix pressed herself deeper into me. I grimaced as I realized I knew nothing about how Vulpix fights, if she even could fight.

We apparently took to long for the Mankey's as they both dropped from the trees and started to charge. Both charged in a straight line with hands glowing orange.

"Cutiefly, Fairy Wind!" I commanded, forgoing any combo. I didn't want to give them a chance to get close and a super effective move would work just fine.

One of them had more focus than the other and abandoned the attack to dive out of the way. The other was too focused, or more likely pissed off, and ran directly into the attack. The Fairy Type attack quickly recalled old healed wounds and a nasty bruise started to form at her stomach as cuts started to open across her.

"Mankey!" It cried in pain before tripping and falling down. The other Mankey was able to get close enough and charge her hands with glowing white energy.

"Dodge it, Cutiefly!" I called out, hoping she had enough warning to avoid the attacks. Cutiefly dipped down low to avoid the first and second swipes before shooting forward and between Mankey's legs to miss the third and get behind her. Unfortunately the Mankey was too quick and spun on her heels to face Cutiefly and connected a fourth and fifth swipe on Cutiefly's retreating legs. Mankey's claws carved shallow cuts on her legs, the force of the attack causing Cutiefly to tumble slightly before regaining control over her flight.

"Are you alright, Cutiefly?!" She gave a pained nod while she kept her head on a swivel. The Mankey was already circling her as was joined by her injured and thoroughly pissed off friend. I grit my teeth as I realized we needed to even this fight out.

"Vulpix, look at me," I turned to look her in the eyes. I could see the fear in them as she shivered. I placed my hands on her shoulders and said, "I know you're scared, and I know we haven't had much of a chance to bond, but right now Cutiefly needs help. I know you're strong and she knows you're strong. Can you trust me enough to direct you in helping her?"

Vulpix looked at me before turning her head to Cutiefly. The Mankeys were circling Cutiefly, who was doing her best not to give them an opening to attack. Vulpix bit her lip before turning back to me and nodding. I grinned at her.

"I knew you could do it. I'll be right beside you the whole time. We got this together!"

Vulpix stepped out from behind me still shaking. The Mankey's claws started to glow a bright white before they leapt into action. I wasn't gonna let Cutiefly get hurt.

"Cutiefly, take to the air! Vulpix, Powder Snow!" I didn't know Vulpix's moves yet but every Alolan Vulpix knew that attack. Cutiefly buzzed her wings hard as she shot straight up as Vulpix drew a deep breath and holy shit it just got cold.

Both Mankeys landed under Cutiefly as Vulpix blew out her attack. I felt the air temperature take a dramatic drop as the cold wind lanced through the air. Pellets of snow formed inside and struck the Mankeys. Everywhere it hit, chilblains formed and cracked open. The Mankeys weathered the cold as best they could but I could see the damage was getting to be too much. When Vulpix's attack sputtered out, they were left wobbling but their eyes told me they only needed a second to refocus and attack. I was gonna let that happen.

"Now, Stunning Wind!" Cutiefly was a godsend as she had the same idea as me and was already charging the attack. The combo move raced down and surrounded the Mankeys before they could even blink. Wounds deepened and small crackles of energy laced their forms. They stood for a second before kneeling over with dazed spiraling eyes. I stopped for a minute and was thankful I could see them still breathing.

"YES THAT'S THE WAY TO SHOW THEM!" I shouted out. It was my second battle and I was pumped with adrenaline. Vulpix stood there seemingly stunned before Cutiefly buzzed in and gave her neck a big hug before flying to me for a kiss.

"Way to go you two. That was amazing work!" I was feeling pretty good after that. Vulpix seemed to shake whatever was eating at her before she also began celebrating with us. We were so into it I didn't even notice someone approaching until they said something.

"Wow, that was pretty awesome!" A voice said.

I was so high off adrenaline I didn't even stop to think before I responded.

"Right?!" I turned to the voice and stopped in my tracks as my brain caught up.

Standing there were 2 girls my age. The one who spoke was just slightly shorter than me. Her mouth was drawn into a friendly. She had long forest green hair that passed her shoulders, lime green eyes and tanned olive skin. She wore a light green set of overalls with a pink undershirt and had a pink tropical flower headband.

Next to her was a much smaller girl. She was slightly behind her friend as if she was trying to look even smaller. She had deep blue hair that contrasted on her pale skin and lighter blue eyes. She wore a large blue shirt and pants and I could see the straps of a swimsuit peeking out over her shoulders. Her hair was held back slightly by a yellow headband while she had fringes that surrounded her cute face.

A Pokegirl sat on the shoulder of the green girl. It was Cutiefly's size at only 8 inches tall. She had large green leaves sprouting from the top of her head in place of hair that stood out against the red skin of her body. She might have been Cutiefly's height but where Cutiefly was petite and lithe, she was curvy and thick. She had large breasts and thick thighs and hips with dark red nipples that stuck out against her soft skin. I could even smell a sweet scent from her every time she swung her legs.

I recognized them in a second, of course. Mallow, Lana and Bounsweet were all from the Sun and Moon series. Close friends of Ash Ketchum but from their looks that wouldn't be any time soon. I was over the moon at seeing them. Not because of their beauty though they did look very cute, but because it meant I could finally get out of this god forsaken jungle!

"Ah you guys caught that?" I said awkwardly, trying to play off my excitement at seeing another person for a few weeks. God I hope they didn't notice.

Thankfully they didn't seem to notice as they both giggled before Mallow spoke.

"Yeah that was amazing! I don't think I've seen a battle like that!"

Lana nodded along before she said "It was really impressive."

"Haha, well we've been doing some training so I'm glad to see it pay off." I shrugged my bag off my shoulder. I knew I had some Stritus Berries in here and that should be enough to take care of Cutiefly's legs. She latched onto it the second I pulled it out and I passed a Cheri berry (the ice fox liked spicy food, who knew?) to Vulpix who accepted it gracefully. She moved behind me to get away from the 3 unknown girls. I was a little sad at her shyness but I did like how she trusted me enough now to hide behind me.

Mallow seemed to take notice of my bag and my torn clothes as she tilted her head in concern.

"You don't look so good though. Are you alright? You look like you've been out her for a while?" She turned to look at Lana who nodded in agreement.

"Yeah you look like you live out here."

I winced as I realized I did indeed look like a wild child. I was drawing a blank on what to tell them. This was a world that let 10 year olds travel across countries taming powerful creatures. It was fine with kids roughing it in the wild but probably only because they actually had homes and parents to go back too. I decided a little white lie couldn't hurt.

"Ah yeah. I won't lie, I got a little lost. I'm not from around here but I was out exploring when I got turned around. I've been staying in a cave for the last week and half." I said nonchalantly. I thought maybe if I gave the idea I knew what I was doing, they wouldn't press for details.

It was a calculated risk and God I suck at math. Mallow and Lana's eyes bugged out as I spoke. Before I could even try and run damage control Mallow started yelling.

"You've been out here that long?! How did you survive, are you hurt, are your Pokegirls hurt, what did you eat?! Are you starving?! Lana, come on grab him!" Wait what?

I was quickly grabbed by each girl on the arm and was being quickly marched away.

"Wait wait wait, what's going on, hey where are we going-?"

"No if ands or buts mister you're coming with me to our restaurant. Who knows what your parents are thinking, they're probably worried sick about you. And you've all got to be starving. We'll feed you and you can call them to come pick you up."

"You should probably just let her go with this. She gets kinda protective about her friends." Lana said in a soft voice but I could tell from her tone she wasn't gonna let me go either.

"Wait hold on second." I tried to protest but Mallow wasn't having any of it.

"I said no buts-" I cut her off before she could build up another rant.

"Not for me. Hold on for them." That confused them as they let me go. Cutiefly and Vulpix stopped as well, wondering what I could be doing. I pulled my bag out again and grabbed a couple of Sitrus Berries and Cheri Berries out. I ran over to the still downed Mankeys and placed them in a pile. I didn't know how long they would be out but I didn't want them to suffer after they came too.

Mallow and Lana were very confused as I returned to them as Cutiefly and Vulpix seemed to nod in understanding.

"Sorry, I just had to do that first. By the way," I turned to Mallow and gave her a wink, "if you're going to drag a guy to a restaurant date you could at least learn his name first." Where the hell did that come from?

Mallow's face lit up like a Christmas tree as Lana, me and the Pokegirls had a laugh. She looked away with a nuclear blush and tried to defend herself. Twirling her fingers she said.

"It's not like that, you just seemed like you needed help and…." She started mumbling off and I could help but laugh again.

"Sorry sorry, it's alright I just wanted to tease." I gave a theatrical bow to her and held my hand out for her. "My names Michael and I will gracefully submit to my kidnapping now."

It was enough to break her muttering and I was rewarded with soft giggles that were starting to become music to me.

She took my hand and said, "I'm Mallow, this is my friend Lana and this is Bounsweet." Lana smiled at me and Bounsweet gave a little fist pump and cry of her namesake.

"Well Miss Mallow, lead the way." I said shouldering my bag and feeling a cold hand tank mine. I looked down at Vulpix who was steadfastly looking away in a blush. Cutiefly landed on my other shoulder and sighed as she gave herself a break.

As we moved together I could feel my mouth watering at the idea of actual food.

God I hope her place isn't hours away.

40 minutes. I was 40 fuckin minutes away from people this whole god damn time. It was a literal 10 minute walk to the road, 10 minutes to Mallow's family restaurant, and then 20 minutes to the town we're most everyone was. I was conflicted. On one hand, it could probably keep my little hideaway in the woods and just walk into town everyday. One the other, I WAS 40 FUCKIN MINUTES AWAY.

I sat with Lana at one of the many tables inside Abe Café. When we had arrived the girls had been a little confused why I was so mad and why Cutiefly was laughing her little ass off at my plight. Mallow had insisted that she make us lunch and had rushed into the kitchen with Bounsweet as Lana and I sat down.

"You seem pretty mad. Are you okay?" Lana asked curiously.

"I've been 40 minutes away from town this whole time. I'm a little mad that the one direction I didn't check was the way out."

"Pffttt!" She tried to hold in the laughter but was no match for the power of irony. I could fault her, it was pretty funny.

"Yeah yeah, laugh it up." I said as she fully burst out. I looked at the rest of the empty café. We had all taken a table in the corner next to the kitchen door. It was a nice little place, homey and warm.

It suits her. Warm and friendly.

I knew this place was basically Mallow's as much as her dad's. I knew someday she would probably take it to the top of lists of restaurants to visit on some travel site. Right now, however, she was a beginning cook and still had plenty of adventures to go on.

Damn, I really am in the anime, huh?

I knew I needed to figure out next steps. I knew I wanted to travel but how I was going to do that was up in the air. Money was gonna be an issue and I had no idea how I was gonna earn anything. Was it like games where you could earn money by battling random people? Or did there need to be some sort of specific instance to earn money from trainers? Contests and Tournaments? There was so much to learn and I was just now getting at the starting line.

Lana was looking at me when I turned back "Sorry, did you say something?" I hoped I didn't miss something she said.

She shook her head, "No, you just looked like you were lost."

"Sorry," I apologized, "I've got a bit on my mind." Vulpix's hand reached mine for the 3rd time since we got there. She only held for a few seconds before she squeezed me once and let go. It was as if she was reminding herself I was still there. Cutiefly had taken a seat on top of the table and was shifting every few seconds. I could tell something was bothering her but I couldn't figure it out. The Sitrus Berry had healed her legs up after the connected Fury Swipes but I hoped she wasn't still in pain.

The doors to the kitchen swung open and a greenette marched out with a platter of sandwiches, fruit and veggies. She had donned an apron with a little red heart over her overalls and she gave a little flourish as she set her platter down. Bounsweet actually came, well, bouncing in with a liter of punch perfectly balanced even in-between hops. That was an impressive sight to be fair.

"Mallow's Ultra Lunch special is served!" She declared with pride and I could see why. In 20 minutes she had whipped up an entire platter of finger sandwiches, ham, cheese, and veggies, alongside slices of various fruits with a type of dip. The punch looked freshly made and had slices of oranges, kiwis and mangos floating in it. I knew my mouth was watering and so were my Pokegirls.

"Mallow this is amazing! Thank you so much!" I praised her which made her puff up her budding chest in pride.

"Only the best for my friends! Now what are you waiting for let's eat!" She began playing sandwiches for me and Lana as I grabbed some for the girls. I made sure to grab some of the fruits that I thought Cutiefly and Vulpix would like before I grabbed a plate from Mallow.

I could feel the tears stream down my face as I ate. After a week and half of berries and fire roasted fish skewers, these little ham sandwiches were godly. Cutiefly and Vulpix were tearing through their food at the same time. Mallow and Lana watched a bit with amazement as we went through sandwich after sandwich.

"Wow, I know Mom said boys eat a lot but that's amazing." Lana said in disbelief with Mallow nodding along. I didn't care really, I was too busy stuffing my face.

Half an hour later, I was stuffed, Cutiefly had eaten herself into a food coma, and Vulpix, well she still looked dignified if still a little on edge. Mallow, Lana and I had lulled into a conversation that eventually turned to a direction I didn't want. My family. I couldn't come out and say I didn't have a family. I knew that wouldn't end well. Best case scenario, I trigger Mallow's Mom Mode and get offered a place in her home. Worst Case, I get to learn what the Pokemon world's version of CPS is. I dodge the questions as best I could until I could find a way to wiggle out from them.

"Look, girls, I know you're concerned but I'm fine out there. There's a whole island out there to explore and I just wanna do that. Is that so wrong?"

"But what about your family?" "Yeah they'll probably miss you."

"My family situation…isn't the best. I promise you, me being in the woods is a better sight than anything else." That seemed to get to them. They still looked worried and I couldn't blame them.

"Besides, I know where town is now. You're gonna be seeing me around anyways." That brought their mood up and they had an idea.

Before they could voice whatever it was a deep voice called out from the kitchen.

"Mallow I'm back, can you come help unload the ingredients?"

We all froze as the door swung open to reveal a tall green haired man. He had the same complexion as Mallow. He wore a chef's shirt with a red bandana tied around his neck. He looked surprised to see us when he walked in.

"Oh hello kids, sorry didn't mean to interrupt."

Mallow shot up and hugged her dad, "Dad, come meet our new friend!" Oh no.

Mallow's dad was drug over by his daughter and I panicked slightly before he plastered a wide warm smile on his face and extended a hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm Mallow's father but you can call me Abe."

I gripped his hand for a shake. "Michael, it's good to meet you Mr. Abe."

"Don't let my daughter run all over you, she tends to get what she wants but at least make her work for it!" He joked with a deep laugh.

"Daddddd!" Mallow tried to protest but went unheard.

"Where are you from, Michael, I don't think I've seen you here before and I know a lot of the people on the island," he asked. Fuck, of course he would. He might be the only restaurant for all I knew. People probably came here every Saturday night or something and he got to chat with all the locals.

"Oh I just arrived really. I haven't been here long" I said sweating.

"Oh what brought you to Melemele?" He asked curiously. Damn it, I forgot he was supposed to be a well meaning idiot.

"Oh I uhhh-"

"The Pokegirl School!" Lana suddenly interjected.

"Yes! The Pokegirl School! He's thinking of enrolling next year!" Mallow jumped in. I could only pray he didn't notice our tense tones.

"Oh Mallow and Lana attend the school! You'll love it, I know my daughter does!" He said as he ruffled Mallow's hair, to her protest.

"Right, yeah ahahah," I nervously laughed. That was wayyy to close. Thankfully, the girls came in clutch.

"Well, I'll leave you all alone, Mallow, don't forget, I'll need a little help with evening prep." Abe said as he walked into the kitchen. We all held our breaths until he was gone and then all deflated together.

"Thanks girls, I owe you two."

Mallow nodded before saying, "Don't worry, at least you're going to be sticking around," she said with a sad smile. "Sorry I can't show you around the city." She turned her head to Lana, who in turn shook her head.

"Sorry, I can't either, Mom told me to be home by 3 after our sleepover last night," she said with a bit of regret.

"Mah, don't worry about it, you two have done enough for me, I can take it from here." I said. I formed a small plan in my head. "Just point me in the direction of a Pokegirl Center and it'll be good."

"Oh wait, that gives me an idea! Wait right there!" Mallow shouted before throwing her apron down and running through a door. I looked at Lana who looked just as confused as me. When Mallow returned she was holding a small phone.

"Here, it's my old model but the number still works and it's on the Island Community service." She handed me a small pink phone. Its touch screen was cracked but I could read it just fine and it did indeed have a signal.

"What's the Island Community service?"

"Oh it's a bunch of cell towers operated by the islands. Dad said they get funded by people buying stuff, that way everyone can always stay connected!" Mallow explained.

"With that you can probably register as an official Trainer at the Center, too." Lana chimed in. Another questioning look got her to question me back. "You know, like so you can earn money by battling and doing PokeQuests?"

"Oh, right" I hoped this phone had Google. Wait, is there even Google in Pokemon Internet?

Mallow clasped my hand and looked me in the eye, "Promise me you'll be safe, and if you need you'll come by for some help?"

In the face of those big green eyes, I broke like spun glass. "I promise you girls will be the first I come to, if I need it."

That seemed to satisfy both of them. With our last hugs, we all went our separate ways. Lana headed towards the beach and I was left with my girls and directions to the nearest PokeCenter.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" I said to Cutiefly and Vulpix. Today was the first official day of my journey!

The Pokegirl Center was a large structure. It still was recognizable as the iconic healing station from the games and anime due to its trademark look. A red roof with a pokeball signaled a rest for weary Pokegirls of all kinds.

The large double doors were actually segmented so it could open further to allow taller Pokegirls to freely walk into the large vaulted lobby.

Pokegirls of all types were scattered around the lobby. Some were there with Trainers, others were alone or even wild. I was pretty sure the 2 Mankey's that left beside me when I entered gave me the stink eye. I was amazed at the variety of Pokegirls around. Most of them seemed to be a housepet style of Pokemon. Meowths, Rockruffs, and other cats and dogs.

Walking past the busy lobby, I found myself at the main counter. Nurse Joy was busy shuffling papers but gave me a smile as I approached. I waited patiently for her to finish. No need to be rude, right?

"Sorry," She apologized, "Little backed up on paperwork. Welcome to the Hau'oli City PokeGirl Center. How can I help you today?" She said in a practiced yet friendly tone.

"Hi, I wanted to get my friends checked out, and I was told I could register as an Official Trainer? What does that mean?" I questioned. She brightened up and came around the corner of the desk.

"Oh follow me, I love doing the registration of new trainers and their Pokegirls. Cover for me, Sal?" Joy asked one of the passing nurses. Joy didn't even slow down as she grabbed my arm and all but drug me through a side office with a name plate on it. Once inside she dropped my arm and sighed.

"Rough day?" I joked hoping to break the tension.

"You have no idea. Adore the job…despise the management." She bit out. She put on a more sincere smile. "I wasn't lying though, I do love doing the registration for new Trainers." She strode into her office. It was a nice place, flowers sat at various places, pictures of identical sisters were hung, another door was at the other end that read "Consultation Room." She sat at a large oaken desk that had mounds of papers sitting on top. She looked at most of them before grabbing a few piles and dumping them in the trash. She breathed a sigh of relief as she sat down in her nice executive chair.

Vulpix and Cutiefly decided to explore the room and all its knicknacks while I took a seat in the open chair before her desk. I let her rub her temples for a few seconds before I spoke up.

"So do you do all the registration?"

"Not all of it, sometimes I let one of the other nurses handle it or Trainers will register at Professor Kukui's Lab or the Pokegirl School." She smiled at me as she pulled up some windows on her computer. "It's really just what was convenient at the time."

"Will this take long? Cutiefly was in a battle this morning and Vulpix was pretty injured when I found her. They seem fine but I want to make sure." Vulpix and Cutiefly returned to me with their names. Vulpix sat next to me and made sure to hold my hand while Cutiefly took a rightful seat in my lap.

Joy smiled at my concern for them. "Don't worry the registration is quick and I'll personally give them a full check up. It's nice to see a kid you age so worried about his girls though."

"Do people not normally care for them?" I knew people like Paul were out there, and that's not to even mention Team Rocket, but I figured the vast majority of people would put their Pokegirls' health at top priority.

"Oh no, nothing like that. Most of the time kids like you are getting their first girl or have only ever borrowed a family member's. Sometimes you're just a little too rough on them and they get a little more banged up than usual. Now let's get started."

The questions were rather mundane to establish identifying info. Hair color, eye color, weight, height. There was a slight hiccup during the questionnaire.

"Name?"

"Michael Webb."

"Date of Birth and Age?"

FUCK! I started to panic. I had no idea if the calendars were the same or how old I actually was in this world. Mallow and Lana seemed to think I was the same age as them from how we talked but how old were they?

I quickly looked around the office and saw a calendar. My hopes soared before quickly being crushed. I could see a number 9 before the month before realizing the month said Selia.

"Are you okay?" Shit taking too long.

"Ah yeah, I just forget the months sometimes. Memory just sometimes fails me unless I can read it, ya know, hahaha…" I trailed off nervously. Nurse Joy seemed to make an assumption as she blinked in some kind of understanding.

"Oh! Yes, of course, my mistake. Here let me get the calendar for you."

JACKPOT. Nurse Joy grabbed down the calendar and handed it to me. I was about to quickly flip through the months to get a rough idea of the yearly calendar. It seems they had a roughly same amount of days, the only difference being the months were named after different legendary pokemon.

I was able to take note of the year and flipped through the pages to find the start of the year.

"Giritine 8th, Nurse Joy," I finally decided. I know I could have said literally any day but hey I liked an early birthday.

Joy nodded and took back her calendar before continuing, "Current Pokegirls?"

"Cutiefly is mine, Vulpix is technically still wild. I saved her from some hunting Yungoos. That's not going to be a problem, right?" Vulpix lowered her head at that, Cutiefly leaned over and put a small hand on her and I scratched behind her fluffy ears. That severed to break her out of moping before it could behind.

"It's not unusual for Pokegirls to hang around those that saved them, especially trainers. Maybe she's just waiting for you to register a ball so you can catch her."

"And last thing. Do you have a device to act as a Pokedex, track battle stats, register new pokegirls, and accept and complete PokeQuests?"

"Actually I do, My friend Mallow just gave me her old phone."

"Perfect, please let me see." She grabbed my new phone with a smile, "Cute color choice." She said with a wink

"What can I say? I like the color pink." I responded. That got a laugh and blush from the nurse.

"Careful you, you keep that up and some old nurse might try to gobble you right up." She flirted back as she connected my phone to the computer. A few seconds later and a ding signaled she was done. She then went on another practiced speech

"Due to the growing connection between Alola and the Pokegirl League, new policies have been enacted to encourage Alolans to officially register with the league."

"Wait, do people not normally register?"

Joy shook her head and explained, "No, normally people don't register as official trainers cause they only own Pokegirls as pets or for companionship. Official trainers typically act as freelance contractors and emergency Pokegirl specialists. Alolans especially don't register because there's no official league to compete for."

"But you need to be an official trainer to accept PokeQuests?" I questioned.

"PokeQuests are a relatively new thing for the islands. Before it was generally people just went to one of the Kahunas for something or the community would just come together if need be." That made sense. Kahunas were supposed to be the leaders of the islands so it made sense they would handle anything big and the tight knit community would handle little things.

"The Pokegirl League decided to give all newly registering Alolans a 5,000P stipend. Just a little package to help beginners." Nurse Joy finished her, more than likely, mandated pitch. I could get behind the concept. Give Alolans a little free money and they're more likely to ram up activities related to the League.

Plus, hey, free money. Taking my phone back from Nurse Joy I could see several new apps were loaded on. It seems it was able to act as my Dex, a battle tracker, wallet, and request board. Neat.

"You should also probably search online to find some of the official trainer forums. It's a good way to talk to other trainers and get information on what's going on with the League at any given point." Joy advised me and I nodded. I would definitely be checking to see if there were any up and coming trainers, ones named Ash in particular.

Pocketing my phone, I looked at Joy who was getting up. "Well let's get these girls checked on. Come with me, girls?" Joy directed Cutiefly and Vulpix into the other room and I was left to my own devices. I immediately started searching for as much general information as I could. I really can't be caught lacking in knowledge like I was earlier. I was able to avoid suspicion this time but next time I might end up heading to a foster home in Unova before I could say "Wishiwashi".

I was halfway through a document on League rules, regulations, and where the League was able to lobby governments for certain laws when Joy came back with the girls. Vulpix had a fresh set of bandages wrapped under her breasts while Cutiefly had some smaller, more thin bandages around her legs. Both returned to their spots as Joy pulled up some charts.

"Overall their health is really good. I know you said you saved Vulpix from hunting Yungoos but you treated the wound well enough for a first aid situation. However, I will advise you immediately seek out a Center next time you encounter a situation like hers. You did well this time but infection is a serious matter." She chastised me. I took it with grace. I did everything I could as best I could at the time. Vulpix squeezed my hand as if to remind me of that fact.

"Cutiefly will be good in a few hours or you can have her take a short rest in one of our restoration machines. Do you know how Cutiefly takes to being inside her ball?"

"I don't actually,' I said with a bit of a blush. "It really hadn't occurred to me to place her inside her ball. It feels weird thinking about her not being on my shoulder, you know?" I also had been pretty heavily relying on her the last week.

Nurse Joy smiled, "I understand the sentiment. I keep my Pokegirls out as much as I can as well." She clicked a couple charts before she turned to me with a serious expression. Uh-oh.

"There is one more thing. I know you're a beginning trainer so I can't fault you for not knowing. However, as a Trainer it is your responsibility and yours alone. It's a crucial part of Pokegirl life and as a Trainer, a crucial part of yours too, now."

I leaned in nervously. What could she be talking about? Nutrition? Immunizations? Don't feed them after dark?

"You need to take care of your Pokegirls' sexual needs." Joy said with all the gravitas of death knell.

wait…..what?

I felt my face go supernova and felt the entire weight of Cutiefly in my lap and the temperature difference of Vulpix to my right. There's no way I heard what I heard, right?

"U-um…Nurse Joy, could you repeat that?"

Joy nodded seriously before turning her monitor around so I could see their charts. "What do you know about Type Energies?"

"N-not a lot."

She nodded, "Funnily enough not a lot of people do either. However we do know some things and as Trainers and Caretakers, it's our job to keep in mind what we do know." She pulled up a powerpoint and clicked play. It brought up a familiar image of the type chart.

"Type Energy is the name we gave to the energy Pokegirls are able to manipulate. This energy takes form in many different ways and Pokegirls have many different ways of shaping it but ultimately it becomes what we call today the Modern Type Chart."

"The Modern Type Chart consists of 18 different types. These Types are what helps us categories Pokegirls and helps us to understand why they live the way they do. Almost all Pokegirls can use almost all types of Type Energy but as you know, all Pokegirls are better or worse at shaping different energy types. For example, your Alolan Vulpix is able to shape Ice Energy exceptionally well, while her cousin, the Kantonian Vulpix, would struggle with Ice but excel at Fire."

I nodded along with the lecture but I could feel my mind racing. What did this have anything to do with getting my girl's (and probably by extension me) rocks off?

Joy pulled another slide, this time it had a bunch of technical medical illustrations but I could see it was depticing a Pikachu girl. As she went through it highlighted… certain areas.

"Pokegirls push their bodies to the limits while shaping Type Energy. They are oftentimes, producing or relocating Energy in order to form their attacks. While this lets them do incredible feats some would call magic it does put a significant stress on their bodies. Their bodies will often try to rebalance themselves and this leads to a hormonal imbalance. Can you see where I'm going with this?" Joy questioned at the end. My mind was already connecting the dots as she talked though. Cutiefly was looking up at me with a smug smile and licking her lips. Vulpix was steadfastly looking anywhere but me, however I could see her rubbing her thighs together.

Pokegirls manipulating Type energy makes them horny. Sure yeah I can understand that. But why are Trainers expected to "handle" their urges? Pokegirls fought in the wild all the time. I literally saw Poliwhirl…fight….

It dawned on me.

Battles. If a wild Pokegirl using Type Energy is gonna get her a little horny then battles are a whole different kind of beast. The Pokegirls there are pushed to their limits in regards to manipulating Type Energy for their moves. That battle between the Mankeys and Poliwhirl is probably how long wild fights last. 1-2 moves to establish dominance and then the girls go their separate ways. Battles on the other hand are high octane, sometimes drawn out, conflicts where they are constantly expending more and more energy.

If a Quick Attack or Tackle was enough to get a Pokegirl in the mood, then battling and training was basically injecting aphrodisiacs directly into their veins and then edging for a couple hours.

I looked down at Cutiefly on my lap. She was smiling like she was normally but I could see in her eyes. Lust, pure and unfiltered lust.

"Holy shit I've been edging you for a week at this point."

Joy nodded, "I drew some blood during their physical. Vulpix's hormonal level is a little high from what we would expect from a wild Pokegirl. Cutiefly, on the other hand, has basically been at a constant high for at least a few days now."

"But she never even said anything. I didn't even notice…"

"She probably didn't want to press the issue. Pokegirls have a natural submission to their trainers. Sometimes they will be more forceful but on the whole Pokegirls wait for their trainers' advances. That's why Trainers have a responsibility to manage their Pokegirls' needs."

"But, like how ...how would we even-" I trailed off. Cutiefly was most certainly not the biggest thing around. Even compared to other bug types she was small. Even while sitting on my lap she was only the size of a figurine.

Joy smiled and stood up. "Well I am a Pokegirl specialist. My family has been helping young Trainers and their Pokegirls for generations. Come on, I have some materials for you and this little cutie."

Cutiefly was eager as she buzzed up to follow Joy. I stood up and looked at Vulpix. She shook her head and made it clear she was staying. Nervously I followed Nurse Joy and Cutiefly into the other room. Inside I saw the expected cabinets that no doubt held medical supplies. I was confused, as where I would expect a long high medical table like in many doctors offices, there was an actual bed. I was about to voice my confusion when I heard something that made me both terrified and excited.

Click

Slowly I turned to see Nurse Joy pulling hair ties. Her pink loops fell away leaving her long pink hair to cascade down her back. She threw her nurse's cap aside as she undid the top button of her scrubs. I could see the top of her pink bra as she approached closer.

"N-nurse J-joy..uh are you-" I tried to stammer out before she gave me a sultry smile

"There's lots of ways to take care of Pokegirls. Micro girls like Cutiefly present a challenge but a Joy always rises to help a young cute trainer like yourself" She took a couple steps into the room and I could feel myself land on the bed. Cutiefly landed on my chest with an ecstatic smile. I felt my chest grow wet at the spot she landed as Joy leaned over us.

"Now, just relax and let me guide you on how to please your girl." She said in a low husky whisper.

"I need an adult…" I said.

"Oh honey…" She pulled my hand onto her chest. Ah, she was braless under those scrubs. "I am the adult."

I was left still a little dazed as we exited the room. Joy was positively glowing but even she was dim to the sheer brightness of Cutiefly. I sat beside Vulpix as she blushed with her own nuclear glow. I swear she practically lost her hand from how fast she whipped it up when we entered the room.

"Now then, we should have also had enough time for your Trainer profile to go through. You are now an Official League Trainer. You can complete PokeQuests, battle other Trainers for stakes, and, if you travel to another region, you can fast track an application to compete in the years league."

"Thank you so much for your help Nurse Joy." I was still a little in shock and going through the motions but I was being sincere. Afterall, she had just given me a direct way to get money, checked on the girls, and well, the instructions I received were valuable as well.

"It's my pleasure. Always feel free to return if you need any help with your Pokegirls." That was said with a wink that I just knew had a double meaning. Exiting Nurse Joy's office, I was walking to the door when it opened faster than I was expecting. I collided with a pink, short, haired girl as she was rushing into the Center.

"HEY! Watch where you're goin', punk!" The girl shouted up at me. I reached out a hand which she batted away quickly. "I don't need no help."

"Hey, I'm sorry we ran into each other. I was just trying to help you up." I said back to Rude Pink. Her pink eyes burned into mine as she scowled. We held the gaze for a second before she broke it with a "Whatever!"

She rushed to the counter before I could see why she was in such a hurry. She was carrying a small bat-like Pokegirl that was badly injured. Her purple fur was burned off in large patches. The Pokegirl didn't have any eyes but I could see her face was scrunched up in pain. If I guessed correctly, the pinkette and her Zubat had run afoul of a powerful Fire Type.

"Please, She got really hurt in a battle. Can you help her?!" Pinky pleaded with Nurse Joy. Nurse Joy seemed to have already called for help as 2 nurses with a Blissey arrived pushing a gurney. Nurse Joy assured the panicking girl as she followed the nurses taking Zubat away. The girl was holding back tears but I saw them fall the second her butt hit a seat in the waiting room. I could have turned away but damn it why do I have to care?!

"Hey, sorry for getting in your way earlier. I didn't know you were carrying your Pokegirl." Pinky's head snapped up, her eyes were filled with tears. She looked like she wanted to tear me a new one but the instant she opened her mouth she just cried more. I sat down next to her and just let her cry herself out. She was eventually able to speak through the tears.

"It's o-okay. I was just-" She started before I cut her off.

"You were worried about her. I understand." I got a better look at the girl. She looked slightly older than me. I don't know if pink was her natural color but she certainly had made it her motif, if anything. Her Pink hair was cropped close in a tomboy style that matched her fiery pink eyes. She was wearing a pink polo shirt that, interestingly enough, had a depiction of a non Pokegirl Swirlix. She had on ripped blue jeans and sneakers with lots of wear and tear.

She nodded and through her tears said, "I don't know why I thought we could challenge him. He always has the better Pokegirl. Just…why did he have to go so hard…"

I frowned. Sounds like a Trainer Battle gone too far. "What do you mean? Who's he?"

"Damian." She bit out with a growl. "That punks younger than me but he's always gloating in the park. He always gets people to battle him and he always wins cause he gets to use his parents' Pokegirls. He got 3 of us into a battle but he…He just kept going even after Zubat was down…"

I really narrowed my eyes at that. Trainers can set any stakes they want with other Trainers but I was basically hard coded where if a Girl went down, you stopped. Pinky continued, "The others still had their girls up but he just kept attacking them and I couldn't get to her…I was trying so so hard. And he just kept burning her even when she was on the ground…"

I put a hand on the girls to offer some comfort. I understood the situation as best I could now. Some punk was riding the coattails of Mommy and Daddy's success and was being a douche about it. I let Pinky cry herself out on my shoulder for a while. That seemed to do the trick as she pulled away and whipped a few tears away.

"Sorry. Thanks for that. I'm normally not like this." She spoke in a soft voice. I nodded my head. "It's alright. Emotional high and all that. I would probably be the same way if one of my girls got hurt like that." Cutiefly and Vulpix smiled at my concern for them and they drew Pinky's attention, who let out a loud gasp.

"OOOOO! THEY'RE SOOOOOO CUTEEEEE." She immediately grabbed both into hugs and head pats. Cutiefly accepted the affection with grace and returned the hug. Vulpix….did not take it as well.

"PIXXXX" She growled out before turning her head and sending a small breath of Powder Snow right into Pinky's face. SHIT.

"Oh my god I am so sorry!" I pulled Vulpix out of her grasp as she shook her snow cover hair out, "I guess she doesn't like being grabbed suddenly." Pinky took it in stride and laughed.

"Nah it's my fault. I just adore cuties like these." She gave me a smile that I returned. "So, What's yer name? Or should I just keep calling you Mr. Nice Guy?"

"Funnily enough I was just calling you Pinky in my head." I smirked back at her.

"Ooof, you really need to work on your nicknames, bro," She gave my arm a light punch, "My name's Rachel, but all my friends and now you, call me Rapp."

I blinked at that. If I remember she was the recurring Team Skull member from S&M. Only I get to see her before the bandana.

"Michael" I held my fist out for a bump that she returned.

"Thanks, for staying here. Letting me get all that shit out of my system." A couple Nurses approached us on the bench, asking for Rapp.

"Miss Rachel, Zubat is stable and sleeping, you can visit her if you'd like," Rapp shot up to follow the nurse before turning to me.

"Hey Mike, you got a phone?" She asked, to which I produced my pink phone. "He, Nice color choice," she joked as she took it.

"What can I say? I like pink." She had a small blush and smile at that. She tossed my phone back to me.

"Shoot me a text sometime. We can raise a little hell with my friends. Alola!" She turned and followed the nurse and I got up with the girls. Cutiefly took her rightful place on my shoulder and Vulpix took my hand.

Exiting the PokeCenter, I knew I had a choice. I could give the PokeQuests a shot. They seemed like a solid way to make money, especially if they were designed to support trainers without sponsors on a journey. I checked the time. 3 o'clock, plenty of time to do some quests, get some cash, and buy a couple supplies.

I frowned. There was also that punk at the park. Rapp may be destined to be a troublemaker in Team Skull, but for now she was a kid. She didn't deserve to have her Zubat treated like that. Problem was all I had was a name and the knowledge he had a Fire Type. A type I was honestly sorely equipped to deal with. Vulpix wasn't even mine technically and Cutiefly, while I had faith in her abilities, I wasn't going to just feed to the furnace for my own pride. I nodded to myself as I made a decision.

"I'll keep my eyes open for that punk. In the meantime let's focus on ourselves, right girls?" "Vul" "Fly!"

PokeQuests were promising and not worth it at the same time. In theory and practice they let Trainers earn money they need, while providing normal people a freelance workforce. It certainly paid out money and the jobs were easy. However, that was kinda the problem.

Alola was a peaceful tourist trap. In other regions, jobs on offer were generally bigger. Catching a certain Pokegirl, source a certain item, or even helping the local gym with matters they couldn't spare the manpower for. In Alola it was mostly deliveries and pickups. There was the occasional request from Kahunas or Pokegirl Rangers for something big, but that was few and far between and often were snatched up immediately or only given to the most powerful of Trainers.

"This must be how an Uber Eats driver feels. Only they get a car and I get blisters" I groaned out as I rubbed my ankles. I had been running errands for 2 hours before I decided to call it quits. I swear I crossed the length of the island on foot and hadn't even left Hau'oli City. Sighing, I checked my linked PokeTrainer account.

"At least Alolans pay better and give tips." Indeed they had. I was able to double the amount of money I had on hand just from the errands I ran. I was also able to recognize some of the faces as I dropped off and picked up items. Anela, damn near pinched my cheeks off and sent me off with a bag of berries. Typical grandma behavior but still.

I looked at Vulpix and Cutiefly. They were as tired as me. Vulpix was actively spraying cold air down on a melting Cutiefly. At least they weren't too out of it. I checked the time and did a quick search (No Google but at least they had DuckDuckDucklett). I wanted to pick up a few items before we made a trek back home.

Luckily there was a shopping center nearby that seemed to have everything I needed. First stop was something to make life easier out there.

We arrived at a brick storefront. The sign above said Kokua Hardware. Entering the store I was hit by the smell of ash and woodstain. Behind the counter an Old man sat on a stool smoking. His gray hair was thinning and his weathered face told me he had plenty of experience and years. A womanly figure was stocking items on shelves towards the back.

The woman was actually a Pokegirl. She had gray skin that barely contained bulging muscles. She was taller than me at 5 feet and probably outweighed me 2 to 1. Her pink apron did little to hide the large D cup breasts and her tight spandex underwear practically displayed her tight rounded ass. Both Pokegirl and human turned to the door opening.

"Ah, welcome youngin'. What can I do for you?" The old man greeted me.

"Yes sir I was wondering if you had anything for camping." The old man smiled at that and leaned forward.

"A youngin' looking to sleep under the Gods' given sky? Why, you bet I got stuff for that. Whatcha looking for sonny?"

"I need a camp stove for starters. Pots and pans, and some eating utensils, a tarp would be nice, a big sleeping bag. Oh! Do you have portable batteries or are solar powered? I need to charge my phone for PokeQuests."

The old man nodded along until I said something about batteries. "Ah, kid you don't need no phone to go camping. Hell you should throw the thing to your mom when you set out. It'll be there when you get back."

I grimaced. Right this old man would probably think I was camping for a hobby. "Actually sir, I wanted to get used to sleeping outdoors. I wanna go on a journey one day and I wanna get used to setting up a camp. PokeQuests will be the best way to earn money for that and I wanna get some practice using solar power." I half lied. I was gonna go on a journey. He just didn't need to know I was roughing it right now is all.

The old man blinked and had the decency to look a little embarrassed. Even more so when his Pokegirl (Machoke, maybe?) giggled at him.

"Ah, right. Forgot about them PokeQuests. Well we got all ya need kit. Machoke can you get some of the stuff gathered up?"

"Choke." The hulking Pokegirl started gathering up what I needed. In a few minutes I was looking over what the Pokegirl had grabbed with the old man.

"This here's a survivalist's best friend, Magby branded camp stove. It's hybrid so you can use both wood and propane to cook with. Couple of non-stick pans, just keep away from any Steel Types and they'll last you for years. Tarp, twine, rope and stakes, all great enough and can build you a lean-to shelter anywhere. Solar charger and a couple of battery banks, just hook 'em up in sequence and they'll shut off when filled, kick on when needed."

I nodded along with the old man when the Machoke dropped an absolutely massive bag on the counter. It was dark blue and furry and had all the fluff of a Pomeranian.

"Ahhh good choice Machoke. This is the Deluxe Snorlax Sleeper bag. It's lined with naturally sourced Snorlax fur and stuffed with Swanna down. It's guaranteed to put even the pickiest Snorlax to sleep and can handle the roughest of nights with one too."

It felt amazing when I touched it. Cutiely practically disappeared into it and Vulpix even looked interested. I winced at a thought.

"How much will all this cost?" I was already dreading a massive figure when the old man smiled.

"I can't deny a youngin' the allure of the outside. Tell ya what, all this, and I'll throw in an old Silph Co. bag to carry it. It's got that fancy tech that lets ya keep Pokegirls in balls. All this wonderful gear, at 8000P."

I winced slightly. That was basically all my money. I still wanted to grab a couple trainer specific items like pokeballs and potions and maybe get something to eat since we didn't gather today. However the decision was taken out of my hands as Cutiefly and Vulpix teamed up on me. One look into those big beautiful eyes and I caved faster than a Dig tunnel in an Earthquake.

Almost everything I earned gone, I purchased the gear I needed and Machoke was kind enough to place everything neatly into the Silph Co bag. It was kinda mind boggling to see a sleeping bag that was easily the size of a queen mattress get folded and disappear into a too small space.

I sighed as I exited the store. Well at least sleep would be good on this. I walked next door to a Trainer store. Inside were rows and rows of items, stacked neatly and organized on the shelves. A bored looking teen boy sat behind the counter as I entered.

"Alola, welcome to PokeStop, let me know if you need anything." The teen said with a monotone. I sympathized. Retail sucks, even in a magical world. I grabbed a basket and began to wander the store as I picked out items. I breathed a sigh of relief as I saw the prices. Pokeballs for 200P and Potions for 300P. It seems we were working off game prices for these at least. I saw a couple of other items like Awakenings and Paralyze Heals but decided against them. I had plenty of berries around for now. I did get to see a Leaf Stone in the back, locked behind a plexiglass window.

I only grabbed 3 pokeballs and 4 potion recharges. Turns out that bottle was refillable, convenient. Add fresh water and you too could stitch Pokegirl flesh together in a first aid situation.

The cashier wasn't very talkative as he rang me up and I was honestly talked out for the day. I exited the store and checked my account for a measly 200P. Definitely not enough to get a bite to eat. I sighed. Well at least I had some berries I could trade Magikarp for some fish. I made the walk back to the spot Mallow, Lana and I had emerged from this morning. I was exhausted but proud of all that I had accomplished today. I sent a quick text to the contact label "Rapp ️ ✨" when I saw someone sitting by the road. It was the boisterous greenette herself, Mallow. She spotted me and waved me down.

"Well you look all geared up. I still wish you weren't sleeping out here but at least you're prepared." She said with a sad smile before brightening up. "Here, I won't hear any buts. You're taking this with you today."

Surprised, I grabbed a basket offered to me. Peeking inside I saw a bunch of takeout containers and a bundle of clothes. Looking at Mallow, she was twisting her hair with a finger as she looked away.

"I made a couple of meals for you and your Pokegirls. I thought you maybe needed something and you guys seemed to like my cooking earlier. Plus your shirt was ripped so I borrowed some of my brother's old clothes." I smiled at her kindness.

I reached out and gave her a hug, which was returned instantly. Cutiefly, Bounsweet and even Vulpix decided to get in on the action until we were in a massive warm hug. I heard Mallow whisper in my ear.

"Promise me you'll be okay. And that you'll come to us if you need help."

"I promise, Mallow. You'll find me on your doorstep the second I need it."

She reluctantly let me go. We waved goodbye and went our separate ways. I grumbled a little as we arrived back at the cliff that my camp sat under. 10 frickin minutes, god damn it. Climbing back down was a lot easier and I made sure to use one of the stakes to secure the rope. That would definitely make getting back up easier. Dinner was quickly dished out and consumed right as the stars fell over us.

"It was a great day, huh girls?" I got a couple of cries as response. I was lost in thought and hit a wall when I began thinking of Vulpix's behavior today. Cutiefly had been ecstatic to see other people and Pokegirls. Vulpix on the other hand had been nervous and afraid. Even more than usual. And there was the battle with the Mankeys. She hid behind me as soon as possible and wouldn't stop shaking even after her display of power. I made sure I bought a couple of balls at the PokeStop, one specifically for her when she was ready but…was she?

I set the tarp out and laid the massive sleep bag on top of it. I sat down and decided we all needed to have a talk.

"Hey girls. Come here for a second." Cutiefly buzzed to me and Vulpix daintily set herself across from me. "First of all let me say I'm proud of both of you." That got smiles from both, though Vulpix's looked a little sad. Another thing on the pile of something's not right.

"Cutiefly, I promise you, I will take better care of your needs now that I know what our training does to you." Cutiefly gave me a smile and wink.

"Vulpix," I said to catch the Snow Fox's attention, "I know I'm not your trainer but thank you for listening to me with the Mankeys earlier. You did amazing as well." She blushed and looked down and I decided we needed to establish a bit of understanding.

"You're afraid of battles, aren't you?" A nod. Good, we're getting somewhere.

"I understand. Battles can be scary. But I can see your power. You're incredible. You just don't have the confidence to use all that power yet." Another nod.

"Would you like me to train you? Train you to use your power like I do for Cutiefly?" She looked at Cutiefly. I could see the admiration and Cutiefly looked back with a cocky smile. Vulpix's eyes were filled with steel as she looked at me in mine. A self assured nod.

"In that case, Do you want me to take care of you like I will be taking care of Cutiefly. You're going to be using a lot of Type Energy to train. Are you comfortable with me touching you?" That was a war of emotions. I could tell she wanted to say yes but there was something holding her back. A shake of the head meant I needed a follow up question.

"Are you okay with me touching you at all? Hand holding, Hugs, cuddling. That sort of thing." A furious nodding told me she enjoyed all the affection. I wasn't gonna deny her that.

"Heh, okay okay, just making sure. Final question and really think about this one." I looked into her deep blue eyes. "Do you want me to catch you?"

Wow, if I thought the training aftercare question was a war, this made that seem like a mild disagreement. I could see all the emotions pass between her face and eyes. Fear, Anger, Hope, Need, Hurt, Excitement, Pain, Rejection and more danced in her eyes. I could see it was overwhelming her. I slowly placed a hand on hers.

"You don't have to answer today. You don't have to answer tomorrow. The offer is always open. When you're ready." She flung herself into my arms, crushing Cutiefly in between our chests. Considering her content smile once she pried her face free of bosom I don't think Cutiefly was that mad. We let Vulpix cry herself out.

I don't know what your life has been like Vulpix. But you're still with us. I'll make you powerful so no matter what you choose you'll be okay. I laid us back on the sleeping bag before throwing the top half over all of us. You're family and this family is sticking together. Aloha, Alola. I'm here to stay.

Oh wow that old man wasn't kidding, this thing is- Cutiefly wasn't the only one snoring tonight.
