The Doctor was in the TARDIS, reading the book he "borrowed" from those criminals in the Envy Ring about the Root of All Evil. However, he couldn't concentrate properly for one particular reason:
Loona.
Since she left the TARDIS, the Doctor felt something was wrong with her, but didn't know what.
"She looked sad, but didn't want to tell me what was wrong, as expected from someone like her." He thought, "If only I could help her..." He closed the book and started walking around the console. "Since I met her at Bee's party, she always was rather shy and awkward around me, while grumpy and rude when she's with I.M.P...She's been nice and happy with me until I reveal that I'm actually much older-"
The Doctor at last finally realised what was going on, the reason for Loona's sorrow was...Himself.
"Oh no." He said, horrified. He immediately went to the console.
The TARDIS materialised, and the Doctor rushed outdoors after he disguised himself as a Hellhound.
He rushed to the I.M.P. HQ. When he entered, Millie and Moxxie were there.
"Oh, hey, Doc!" said Millie. "How can we help ya?"
"Is Loona here?" the Doctor asked, "I need to talk to her."
"She's not here, as far as we know," said Moxxie.
"I see, thank you anyway!" the Doctor rushed away.
"Is there something wrong? He looked like he was in a hurry..." said Millie.
Meanwhile, the Doctor pulled out his sonic screwdriver.
"I could locate her vitals to find her." said the Doctor. "I hope nothing bad happens..."
Meanwhile, Loona was at a pub, doing what she knew best when he was sad: Drowning her sorrows with strong alcohol.
"Damnit..." She muttered. "Why...Why does it have to be him?!" She kept drinking.
As she kept drinking that strong alcohol, the bartender gave her a perturbed expression. Loona noticed it.
"What!?" She shouted.
"Well, I-"
"Let me guess, you think I had enough?!" Loona interrupted. "I had a fuckin' rough day, so leave me the fuck alone!"
A trio of Hellhounds observed the scene from afar, the tallest and bulkiest of the bunch, with black fur, sat down next to Loona.
"So, it's your first time here, huh?" He spoke.
"...I guess," said Loona.
"The booze here is pretty wicked, it hits you like a truck." The Hellhound commented. "That doesn't make you less hot, though."
Loona rolled her eyes.
"You know...I heard some rumours from Verosika Mayday's posse." He continued. "You work for I.M.P., don't you? They saw you ogling their Hellhound guard." He chuckled, "You really want some hunky hound cock, don't you?"
Loona was shocked and embarrassed, but soon those emotions became pure rage.
The male Hellhound slowly touched Loona's arm. "You know...I think I can help you with that-"
"I'm not that desperate!" Loona flinched.
"Oh come on, you're turned on right now." He said, "I'm trying to be generous-"
Loona grabbed the hound's arm. "GO FIND ANOTHER BITCH!" She threw him away.
The Hellhound stood up, now pissed off. He turned to his friends. "Get that broad."
So, the fight began. Loona defeated the "henchmen" rather easily, but things got complicated when she fought the big guy.
Loona punched him in the stomach, making him lose balance, but he retaliated by punching her in the face, leaving a bruise under her left eye and making her fall to the ground.
She threw at him a chair, but it was at that moment that the alcohol took effect, making her vision blurry, not noticing that one of the other Hounds bit her left arm, making it bleed.
Loona freed herself and decided to run towards the exit, but she was pinned down to the ground by the other Hounds in front of the entrance.
And that's how the "fun" began: They punched her, scratched her, ripped her clothes off for several minutes. She tried to call for help, but it was Hell, nobody would come.
"Not so tough now, eh, cunt?" The hound with the black fur panted.
"We fucked her up good, didn't we? Makes me wanna do more to her..." said another Hellhound.
"Yeah. Let's do a little more while we still have steam." He grabbed Loona by her hair "Come here, you broken who-"
Suddenly, the Hellhound flew away after receiving a punch in the face.
"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to hurt so much." A voice familiar to Loona with a Scottish accent spoke. "But don't worry..."
The Doctor stepped out from the shadows.
"The Doctor will see you now."
He was back in his Angel form, but he was too pissed off to care.
"An Angel?!" One of the Hellhounds panicked.
"What are you getting scared for, he's still a pipsqueak!" said the large Hellhound. "Get him!"
The group of Hellhounds charged at the Doctor, who proceeded to beat the living daylights out of them using Venusian Aikido, eventually knocking them out.
After the fight, the Doctor calmed down and his calmly furious expression turned into one of horror when he turned to Loona.
"Loona!" He rushed to the girl. "Are you alright? Stay with me!"
"Doc...Tor..." She whispered before she fainted.
Loona woke up, her vision was fuzzy.
"Wha..." She thought, "What happened...?" She noticed her arm, the bite disappeared. "Huh?" She checked her eye, the scratch mark wasn't there either. "My wounds..."
As her vision became clearer, Loona noticed that she was in the Doctor's room with an exact copy of her usual outfit on the bed along with a note.
"Brought you some clothes, your old ones basically non-existent. I'll be waiting in the console room.
The Doctor"
Loona blushed, realising that the Doctor probably saw her naked. She quickly got dressed and went to the console room.
Meanwhile, the Doctor kept reading the pages of the "Radix Omnium Malorum" book he scanned with the sonic screwdriver. All the pages were written in Latin, but it wasn't a problem for the Time Lord.
The book narrated the story of this "entity": How it suddenly appeared with the desire to cover Creation into their shadow and how the Angels stopped them.
"Probably Sera and Lucifer know something about it, I should ask them when I see them." He thought.
Loona arrived in the room, immediately noticed by the Doctor.
"Oh, hello, Loona." the Doctor smiled, "Feeling better?"
"I still feel the hangover..." Loona groaned, "But the wounds disappeared. What happened?"
"After those Hellhounds beat you into a pulp, I proceeded to beat them into a pulp. I brought you here and healed your wounds. Had to use some of my regeneration energy, I gave you 10 years of my life." the Doctor explained.
"You... Didn't try to do anything funny, did you?" Loona asked. Her tone was more embarrassed rather than furious.
"Of course not." said the Doctor, "I'm a Time Lord, not a dog in hea-No, wait, that's probably offensive, never mind."
A pregnant silence fell between the two. Loona decided to break the silence.
"So, what exactly happened there?" the Doctor asked.
"I...Was having a drink, till a prick tried to flirt with me, so I told to fuck off and...You know the rest."
"I see..." said the Doctor. "When I scanned you for any internal bleeding, I saw that several chemical changes were affecting your brain."
"That meaning?"
"You were drunk." said the Doctor, "Question: If you were drunk when I rescued you, what made you drink that much? Hypothesis: Something bad happened, and would be me."
Loona's eyes widened. "S-So...You know?"
"Yes, I know." the Doctor replied, "I'm rather dense when it comes to stuff like romance, always finding out when it's too late."
He lied, it definitely wasn't the first time one of his travelling companions fell in love with him.
She looked away, Loona had never felt so much embarrassment before.
"Are you...How old are you, really?" Loona asked. "Are you, like, married?"
"Of course, I had a granddaughter, after all." said the Doctor, "But all my family is gone, so I suppose I'm back at being single. As for my age, I'm 908 years old."
"Nine hundred an-?!" Loona was shocked, "My Satan..."
"My species ages slowly. I can be considered as an old man even for their standards." said the Doctor. "Besides, my voice should have been a hint that I'm not in my 20s."
"I thought you simply had a deep voice." Loona justified herself. "I can't believe it...I finally find another decent guy in this shithole and it's a fucking old man..." She sat on the stairs.
"The "other guy" must be that Vortex fellow, I remember Loona looked always annoyed when Beelzebub was with him." the Doctor thought. He sat next to him, "Well, if it consoles you, you're not the first person who stepped inside this old box and fell in love with me. I even fell in love with a human!"
"Really?" Loona asked, curious.
"I was...Going through a really bad period of my life, I lost hope for everything. So, I decided to return to where my journey started, my second home: Earth. I met a human girl, her name was Rose Tyler. After I blew up her workplace and fought living plastic, I invited her to join me in the TARDIS. She...Helped me, a lot, and I had hope once again. I don't know when she did it but...I fell in love. I knew she was much younger, and now I'm disgusted by how lovey-dovey I acted with a human who was barely an adult, but...I didn't care back then. I was just happy that I had someone to cherish again."
"...So I still have a chance?" Loona thought, a bit hopeful. "This "Rose", where is she now?"
"Trapped in a parallel universe, living a happy life with her family and my human "clone"." the Doctor noticed the Hellhound's confused look. "It's, a long story."
Loona let out a small chuckle. "You're a weirdo. Not the creepy type, the cool ones."
"Thank you."
The Hellhound took a deep breath and gathered all the courage she had in her body. "What...Do you think of me?"
"Hmm?" said the Doctor, "Well, Loona, I think you're marvellous. Smart, brave, tough, sweet and beautiful to the booth."
Loona blushed profusely, her tail wagged.
"But...No matter what I think of you romantically, you should look for another guy." said the Doctor, "Forget the age gap, stuff like when we saved Octavia is nothing compared to my usual life, I don't want to lose you."
"I can do it, I'm not a Human or a kid," said Loona.
"Irrelevant, if what I read is true, then the entirety of Creation is in danger, I can't take risks." said the Doctor, as he caressed Loona's cheek. "I'm sure you'll find the right one eventually."
Loona hugged the Doctor. "Thank you, Doctor."
The Doctor smiled, patting her head. "Alright, let's get you back home."
Loona blocked him. "Before that...Can we go somewhere? Just...The two of us."
The Doctor smirked. "I suppose you deserved one. I know this planet is made of sweets..."
So, the TARDIS gained speed through the Time Vortex. It ended better than how Loona feared it would. She thought of several scenarios, and most of them ended with the Doctor being disgusted and wanting to never see her again, but instead...He didn't. He was patient, polite and calm, he didn't blame her for anything, he was kind.
The same kindness that made her fall in love in the first place.
Kindness was a really rare sight here Hell, especially in Loona's life. She was always on alert, fearing to get stabbed in the back, but the Doctor...She felt safe with him, especially during their talk earlier. He had some sort of...Soothing aura around him that made her lower her guard. Now, Loona thought she now understood who the Doctor really was. He wasn't some...Crazy hot guy with a time machine and a nice fashion sense, he was just...
...A kind old man.
