Chapter Seventy-Four

Back from the Dead

Meanwhile, unaware of what had taken place in the Silo and where Ratchet and the girls were, the Hamato Clan were in their living quarters looking at Donatello's laptop talking to Tyroth through Skype.

Although it wasn't just Tyroth on the screen, but Sephie, the Knights, the Geckolings Freya and Loki, James, Dahlia and Old George were there too.

"Hey guys!" Tyroth said on the screen "As you can see, I got everyone gathered."

Michelangelo felt himself get rather hot and sheepish as he saw Kate glancing at him with that look of 'What-Have-You-Been-Hiding-from-me?' whilst Percy had a sly smirk on his face with his arms folded, a look that read 'You're-in-trouble-Mate!'

"And am I right in guessing you told everyone about what's been going on, where we are and the incident at the Museum in Chicago."

"That's right." Tyroth said "After Sephie and I returned to Mutopia, we had a meeting."

"Needless to say, guys, what the hell!?" Jack cried.

"Jack!" Tyroth said.

"What secrets have you been keeping?" Heather demanded.

"Is it really true?" Dahlia asked.

"You're not pulling our legs? Or Tails?" Jun challenged.

"Where are these Robot giants?" Loki asked excitedly "Can we meet them soon?"

"Calm down Loki!" Sonia said and Freya joined in.

"Guys!" Tyroth barked "Calm down! All questions will be answered, I promise."

"They better be!" Kate said in a serious voice before looking at Michelangelo who bit his lip.

"Everyone!" Sephie said "I know you have many questions, but we will get the answers soon enough."

Leonardo looked at his family awkwardly.

"I'm a little worried about how Fowler's going to handle this." He said, "Meeting everyone."

"Given how he reacted with us and Tyroth and Sephie...he's gonna have his mind blown!" Raphael stated.

"Agreed." Donatello said then Tyroth coughed getting the Hamato Clans attention back to the screen of the laptop.

"Anyway, we've had a meeting and Sephie and I told everyone about what happened, and our meeting with Fowler." Tyroth explained.

"And how did you make of it." Splinter asked before anyone else could speak.

"Part of me is still concerned that other humans now know of our existence," old George spoke "But I do trust Tyroth's judgement, and given how he has protected our home, especially after the defeat and death of Vulstrun."

"We know no-one can mess with him!" Percy piped up to which he was elbowed by Sharky and Kate.

"Owww!"

Tyroth shook his head and rolled his eyes.

"Now that we've talked." Tyroth said.

"We wish to know if it is convenient, we wish to visit tomorrow so we can meet everyone?" Sephie asked.

The Hamato Clan looked at each other.

"Don't see any reason." Monalisa advised.

"Me neither." Raphael said and Donatello, Michelangelo and Splinter agreed to which they nodded to Leonardo and the Blue masked turtle gave his approval.

"Sure thing, you coming over in the Ninjet?"

"We shall be." Sephie confirmed.

"The we shall await your arrival." Splinter said, "And we will inform Ratchet to speak to Agent Fowler."

"Thank you." Tyroth said bowing "We look forward to seeing you then."

Exchanging goodbyes with the Mutiopians, the Hamato Clan hung up and Michelangelo bit his knuckles in worry.

"Oh man." He said, "I do hope Kate doesn't hate me, keeping all this from her."

'She can't hate you, Mike." Raphael said, "You were told to keep things quiet!"

"Don't panic little brother." Monalisa comforted "It's going to be okay."

"Sure!" Donatello countered "Come on, let's go and find Ratchet and the girls!"

"Yes lets." Splinter agreed "The sooner we get Agent Fowler informed the better."

Arriving back in the Silo, the mutants were surprised to see it was empty and quiet!

"Hey, where did everybody go?" Michelangelo asked.

Leonardo frowned.

"Ratchet? Girls?" he called.

"Um guys?"

Raphael pointed over to the medical area where Bumblebee had been in power down mode and the Hamato Clan were shocked to see it was empty.

"Where did they disappear to?" Monalisa asked frowning.

"Maybe they're in another part of the base?" Michelangelo suggested.

Splinter meanwhile rubbed his chin and sniffed the air.

"Master?" Leonardo looked at the rat who had that look in his eyes, the look of suspicion.

"Somethings not right." He spoke.

Leonardo felt his stomach dip and he looked over to Donatello who had taken out his shell cell.

"What are you doing Don?" he asked.

"Calling Ratchet." Donatello answered.

Back on the Nemesis, Ratchet, the girls, and Bumblebee continued to stare up at Megatron who stood before them.

All four were in a state of shock and panic, and the girls meanwhile didn't know whether to run or hide, that was until a group of Vehicons appeared in the doorway and were also stunned to see Megatron alive and back on his feet.

Ratchet was then given a fright when his com-link rang and he answered it.

"Hello?"

"Ratchet?" Donatello's voice was heard "Where are you? Where are the Girls? Where's Bumblebee?"

"Donatello..." Ratchet said in shaky voice as he kept his optics on Megatron as well as tried to glance down at Pandora and Kemeko.

The Warlord looked down at the girls, Bumblebee and Ratchet and glowered.

"Finish these pests!" he ordered walking past them and towards the door to the hallway of the ship.

"I have my own extermination to perform!"

At once the Vehicons started shooting at Bumblebee and Ratchet who moved quickly!

Ratchet scooped Pandora and Kemeko up in his servos and ran whilst Bumblebee started firing back at the vehicons.

"We got to go!" Ratchet said as he placed the girls on his shoulders "Hang on!"

Bumblebee bleeped and shot a few more times at the vehicons before joining Ratchet and the girls before they started to make their way to the exit of the ship.

"Our parents are going to be so mad when they hear about this!" Kemeko lamented as she held onto Ratchet as he ran.

"If they're going to be mad at anyone, they can blame me!" Ratchet said, "I let you both come with me!"

Bumblebee ran behind Ratchet and bleeped and whirred.

"It's not your fault Bee!" Ratchet said, "Come on!"

"Ratchet? What's going on?" Donatello's voice was heard on the other end of the comm link "Where are the girls?"

Ratchet narrowed his eyes, he had to focus on keeping the girls safe as well as get himself and Bumblebee off the Nemesis and away from the shooting cons.

"They're with me!" Ratchet reported "I'm busy right now!"

"Ratchet?" Donatello asked again, this time his voice was more than concerned but almost angry.

"I'll call you back!" Ratchet replied then shut off the com-link as he continued to run down the hallway with the two girls on his shoulders and Bumblebee behind him trying to ward off the cons chasing them.

Back at the base, Donatello went pale as he heard what was happening.

"What is it Donnie?" Raphael, Leonardo and Monalisa asked at the same time.

"I heard gunfire!" the brainy turtle said, "Ratchet's got the girls with him on some mission!"

"He's taken Pandora and Kemeko with him!?" Raphael roared.

"He didn't!?" Monalisa shouted.

"No way!" Michelangelo cried.

Leonardo meanwhile went pale, and he wondered whether to call for Optimus, but he knew the Autobot Leader was trying to stop what could be a devastating climate disaster.

"What are we going to do Leo?" Raphael asked "Our girls might be in danger!"

Leonardo frowned hard, but he knew how he could trust Ratchet after seeing how cautious he was, and he turned to the others.

"Guys." He said, "As much as this pains me, and as much as I want to know what's going on and why, we have to trust Ratchet."

"What?!" the other turtles and Monalisa cried, and Splinter frowned yet he listened to his eldest son.

"I don't know if the girls followed or Ratchet let them, but there's nothing we can do except trust him, if Optimus does, then so do I."

Monalisa swallowed hard and sat on the sofa, Raphael sitting with her and the couple held each other.

"It is hard to admit my son," Splinter said, "But I do agree, we must trust that Ratchet is keeping the girls safe,"

"He better be!" Raphael growled as Donatello went over to the Ground Bridge controls.

"Ratchet did tell me how to work the Ground Bridge, so I'll be able to bridge everyone home!"

"I hope it's soon!" Splinter said in a worried voice as he looked at Raphael and Monalisa who held each other close in fear and stress for their daughter.

Meanwhile back in the Arctic, Optimus and Ironhide had climbed to the higher ground of the Glacier, and they saw a slope that led up to the Nemesis.

Optimus analysed the distance then turned to Ironhide who nodded.

"Right behind ya Prime!" he said to which Optimus dipped his head and both of that started to run then they both transformed into their vehicle modes and putting metal to the pedal, they drove as fast as they could up the slope and they flew off it soaring up towards the Nemesis, they then transformed in mid-air and grabbed the spikes of the ship before climbing on top of it.

Optimus managed to haul himself up then turned to Ironhide who had followed him and transformed yet he didn't manage to make it as far and he could have missed completely if the Prime had not reached out and grabbed his servo before pulling him onto the ship!

"Whoa! Thanks Prime!" Ironhide said gratefully as he stood on the spike of the Nemesis then looked down at the Glacier to see Arcee and Bulkhead keeping Breakdown busy.

Prime then looked up at Starscream and Knockout who were still watching the light from the lens melting the Ice.

"We better get in there fast before those two clowns know we're here!" Ironhide suggested "Bulkhead and Arcee can't keep them distracted forever!"

"You are correct old friend." Optimus agreed "Follow my lead and get yourself to safety once I make my move!"

"Prime?" Ironhide questioned, but Optimus transformed and quickly started to drive to the front of the ship.

"Hey! Wait!" Ironhide exclaimed and he too transformed and followed Prime.

At the same time, Starscream and Knockout watched the battle until the red medic saw that something wasn't quite right.

"Don't the bots seem understaffed?" he asked, yet as he asked that question, he and Starscream heard revving engines, and they turned around to see Optimus's truck form and Ironhide's Van form driving towards them.

Starscream growled and turned to Knockout furiously.

"What Good is a second in command who fails to watch the rear?!" he bellowed as he grabbed Knockout's face and pushed him aside before going over to the control's where a vehicon was guiding the lens and threw him off.

"Get out of my way!" he barked then started to type into the controls before making the lens turn away from the glacier and behind him towards Prime's Truck mode!

"Ironhide!" Optimus shouted, "Watch out!"

He then cried out in pain as the firey light from the lens hit him, yet he kept driving towards Starscream.

"Prime!" Ironhide shouted in worry.

"Stay back Ironhide!" Optimus grunted as he kept driving then he transformed into his bipedal form and leapt into the air making his blade appear and he leapt towards Starscream.

"NOOOO!" Strarscream cried as he jumped back, and Optimus drive the blade into the controls and the lens, and a huge explosion occurred!

Ironhide didn't have a chance to shout or do anything as he was blown back by the force of the explosion.

In fact, it was so powerful, Bulkhead, Arcee and Breakdown were blown away by the shockwave!

A few minutes past and the two Autobots on the Glacier shook off stars before they saw the head of the Nemesis smoking heavily, yet what shocked them was the motionless forms of Optimus and Ironhide laying in the ice directly below the Decepticon ship.

Ironhide was looking rather dazed, yet Optimus looked worse as he was smoking from being burnt by the light from the lens.

"Optimus! Ironhide!" Arcee cried in fear.

Optimus grunted in pain as he looked around and Ironhide lifted his head and reached for him.

"Prime..." yet he heard the sound of a jet, and he looked up to see Starscream had transformed into his flying mode and he flew down over them, then flew upward before turning around and started to dive towards them!

"Megatron's greatest mistake was ever allowing you to live Prime!" the seeker snarled as he prepared a missile to fire down at Optimus.

Arcee and Bulkhead watched in horror as they knew they couldn't get to Optimus in time to save him and Ironhide was also in despair as he reached out for Optimus's servo yet as they thought all hope was lost, there was another whooshing sound, and a large grey aircraft appeared and struck at the jet sending it flying back onto the Nemesis!

"What in tarnation!?"

"No way!"

"He's back..."

Optimus blinked as he stared at the craft he knew only too well.

"Megatron..."

As Starscream was knocked out of the air, he was rather shocked and what or rather who had done, it yet he soon found himself thrown onto the Nemesis and quickly trying to get over his shock, he looked up to see the aircraft hover then transform and land on the craft before it, revealing it to be none other than Megatron, awake and alive once again.

"Lord Megatron?" Starscream gasped, both rather horrified as well as terrified as he saw his now alive master standing before him and looking furious.

"You are...you're healed!" he attempted to sound joyful "Praise the All Spark! It is a miracle!"

Megatron cocked his head as he looked down at his traitorous second in command.

"Oh, it will be a miracle alright Starscream." Megatron said "if you survive what I have planned for you!" he shouted.

Starscream yelped in fear then transformed into his Jet form to flee yet Megatron grabbed him by the rear wings and spun him before throwing him to the other side of the ship where Starscream transformed back to break his fall then Megatron went after him again.

"But the Autobots!" Starscream tried to distract his master from attempting to terminate him.

"Optimus!" he pointed down at the glacier "Right there! Waiting for you!"

But Megatron paid no attention to his second in commands attempts to deter him away from him and continued talking.

"My greatest mistake," he snarled "I've made a few, but there is one I do not intend to make again!"

He reached down and grabbed Starscream's face then started to drag him off into the Nemesis.

Starscream knew too well what he was in for, given what he had done and no doubt the faithful Soundwave whould show in his records what had happened whilst Megatron had been in his coma.

He was well and truly for it and given how Megatron had beat him to scrap over the smallest things, this was going to be worse.

"No! No! Master! No! Noooo!" he struggled and protested but to no avail.

Back on the ground, Optimus along with Ironhide was helped to his feet by Bulkhead and Acree and they looked up at the Nemesis and they heard Starscreams yells and protests, and they could only imagine what was to happen next for the seeker and it wouldn't be pretty.

Yet at the same time, they were shocked at the fact Megatron was alive again and they all wanted to know why.

Optimus vented and put his finger to his comm-link.

"Ratchet, we need a Ground-Bridge." He said.

"You are not the only ones!"

The Autobots were surprised to hear Ratchet's voice only a few feet away and they turned to see the medic along with Bumblebee, Pandora and Kemeko.

"Girls!?" Bulkhead cried.

"What happened?" Arcee cried.

"What in tarnation?!" Ironhide shouted "Why are you here?"

Optimus frowned behind his battle mask as he walked over.

"Ratchet? Bumblebee?" he demanded "Why are you both here, and the girls too?"

"We can explain Prime!" Kemeko said waving her arms "But we gotta get back to the base!"

"Our families are back at the base." Pandora said.

"And I did show Donatello how to activate the Bridge." Ratchet said then he activated his com-link "Donatello, activate the ground-Bridge to our co-ordinates!"

No sooner did he say that than a swirling vortex opened before them.

"That was quick!" Bulkhead quipped.

"Sure was!" Arcee said.

"Let's get through it quick!" Pandora cried "now the lens isn't burning the ice, I'm freezing my tail off!"

"Likewise!" Kemeko said then looked at Ratchet "Don't worry Ratchet, we'll explain everything to our parents!"

Ratchet nodded at the Asian girl and followed Bulkhead and Arcee whilst Optimus and Ironhide went in last.

As they entered Ironhide turned to Optimus.

"Hey Prime." He said, "What do you think Megatron's gonna do to Starscream?"

"Nothing gentle I would say." Optimus replied as he looked back at the smoking ship then walked into the portal before it closed behind them.

So Tyroth has informed the Knights and others of what has taken place and they'll be visiting soon!

At the same time, Megatron is back from the dead, and Starscream's in huge trouble! Uh oh!

Btw the dialouge between Ironhide and Optimus at the end is taken from the Transformers G1 season one episode 14, Countdown to Extinction.
