The School of Hard Knocks
As our story continues, we once again find our friends traveling together on their Pokémon journey in perfect harmony.
"I'm not letting you out of my sight, Ash Ketchum, until you pay for my broken bike." Misty said.
Seth and Slade walks beside Brock in the front, Anna and July walks beside Misty in the middle and Ash and Jovan was walking behind them.
"My bike, my bike!" Ash complains. "That's all I ever hear from you."
"Right!" Misty snapped back. "And my name may Misty, but I'm perfectly clear about what you owe me, and you're not getting away without paying."
"You're also going to pay me back too, Jovan." Anna said.
"Maybe if you all spend less time arguing and pay more attention to where we're going, we already be in Vermillion City by now." Brock said.
"So, come on." Seth said. "We're already late and we've got to start the show."
The group stops walking to take a break.
Brock started unpacking everything quickly. "I think we need to take a little break." Brock said. "Why don't I throw something a little together?"
"I agree." Seth said who was already taking stuff out of his bag.
The two set two tables and put a white cloth on top of it. Next, Seth sets down the plates and silverware while Brock sets down two trays of bread, cups, a timer and a pot of flower.
"Ah." Brock said. He was a holding coffee maker. "There's nothing more satisfying than a cup of one hundred percent Cerulean Coffee." Brock said.
Seth looks over his left shoulder, who carrying the same thing. "I think we're too young for this stuff but I hear it's really quite good."
Brock takes out five cans. "How about some Prune Juice?" Brock asked.
"I think I'll pass." Ash said, looking at the Prune Juice.
"How about some Herbal Tea?" Misty asked, smiling.
"Along with Green Tea?" Anna asked.
"You must be kidding." Ash said.
"I agree." Jovan said.
"Not so fast, Ash and Jovan." Brock said, wagging his finger. He turns around holding a tea pot and a cup.
"He brought his own official Pokémon tea set." July sweatdroped.
"Now of course, the key to good tea and coffee is good water." Brock said. Brock went back into his bag. "And I just happen generous supply of sparkling delicious Mt. Moon pure spring water." He takes out three bottles and turns around to show them.
"And for the special snack, I have for you some French crêpes." Brock said.
"I love French things." Misty smiled.
"They're so romantic." Anna said with a dreamy face.
While the two girls were daydreaming, Ash and Jovan was crunching on a snack and drinking some water.
"All that crunching is ruining our romantic daydream!" Anna yelled, hitting Ash and Jovan.
"By the way." Seth said. "Brock and I can't cook crêpe and can't boil water if we don't have a fire."
Brock walks up to them. "The two of you will be going into the forest and carry back some fire wood."
"That's an excellent idea Brock." Misty said.
"And we're willing to sacrifice the excitement in searching firewood and stay here to keep you both companies." July said.
Brock looks at July, Anna, Misty and Slade and looks back at Jovan. "Well I guess that means…" Brock said.
"Yeah." Ash complained.
"We're going." Jovan sighed.
"Here firewood." Ash called.
It's been a few minutes since they started looking for firewood.
"Here firewood." Ash called out again.
"I don't see any firewood here." Jovan said, putting his hands behind his head.
"Why do we have to do the work?" Ash complained.
"Pika Pika." Pikachu said pointing ahead.
Several feet ahead them was a light.
"Check it out." Jovan said.
"Looks like a fire." Ash said as they walk towards it.
A young boy was running a treadmill, surrounded by other boys who was holding candles. They were all wearing blue school uniforms, red ties and white shirts. The boy on the treadmill has greenish brown hair and blue eyes.
"Alright." The boy said, standing in front of him. "What's the name of this one?"
Another boy who was standing next to him holds up the card.
"Is it a Zubat?" the boy asked.
"Listen, just because it's foggy out here doesn't mean your brain has to be in a bog." The first boy said.
The boy looks down and looks back at the card. "It's a Pidgey." He said.
"Nice guess." The boy with the cards said.
"Ok, tell us what its Special Attack is."
"Pidgey's attack is Gust." The boy said, panting. "At Level 5, Sand Attack and at Level 12-"
"Everybody knows that." The second boy said. "Now, can you just tell me what level Pidgey evolves and what the name of Pidgey's advance stage is."
"Um…" the boy said, trying to remember.
"Better come up with answers quick or you'll have to run faster." One of the boys said.
A few seconds has passed and the boy fell off the treadmill. "I'm sorry." The boy said. "I forgot."
All of the boys sighed.
The boy who was holding the cards steps forward and puts his hands on his hips. "You forgot." He snarled.
The boy looks up at him.
"You call yourself a Pokémon Tech Student?" the boy with the cards asked. "We don't want to study with the likes of you."
"I'm sorry." The boy apologized.
"Hey!" Ash yelled running towards them. "Leave that kid alone!"
Ash, Jovan, Pikachu and Dratini skids in front of them.
"What's going on here?" Jovan asked.
The red hair kid looks at them. "There's nothing going on here." He said. "Mind your own business. This is a private training session."
"There's no room in our Pokémon School for losers who don't even know Pidgey's evolve stage. We have to maintain our standards."
Ash picks the boy up. "I don't know about this school of yours." Ash said. "But if it's turning out students like you, I'd have to say the standards are pretty low."
"Not to mention that the rules that the teachers teach are dumb and stupid." Jovan added, crossing his arms.
"That's right, you two." Misty said.
"You tell them." Anna said.
They all look at Misty and Anna.
"Misty." Ash said.
"Anna." Jovan said.
"You better stop bullying that kid right now." Misty said, putting her hands on hips.
"Or you'll answer to us." Anna said. "Right, Ash and Jovan?"
"Misty and Anna, stay out of this." Ash said, looking at the boys while making a right fist. "Leave it to us."
"You're right, Ash." Anna said. "There's no reason for all of us to get into a fight. It's very brave for two of you taking on all five on your own."
"Uh…" Ash said nervously as the group of boys is looking at them.
"We'll be here on the sidelines cheering you both on, waiting to drag your carcasses away at the end." Misty said.
"Show them that you two are men." Anna cheered.
Jovan raises his fist, waiting for one of them to make a move.
"We don't fight." The red hair boy smirked.
"Fighting is for caveman." The green hair boy sneered. "This isn't the stone age you know."
"And if we wasted our time having a fight with little insects like you, it'll just make Pokémon Tech look really bad." The dark blue hair boy said.
The green hair boy walks up to them. "We'll see you back at the Tech, Joe." He said before turning around.
"Ok." Joe said.
"Hey." Ash called at them. "Maybe you cowards are afraid to fight two guys like us."
The red hair boy looks over his shoulder. "The only thing we're afraid of is how badly we'll a couple of little punks like you two." He chuckled as they walked away.
"Who do those guys think they are?" Jovan asked, putting his hands on his hips.
"So those are the infamous tech students." Brock said, who was carrying a batter while Seth, Slade and July walk up to Ash and Jovan.
"Tech Students?" Ash asked confused.
"Pokémon Tech." Misty said. "I think its short for "Pokémon Technical for Pokémon Trainers. I think I have a flyer here somewhere." Misty puts her hands in her pockets. "Here it is." Misty takes out a white paper and unfolds it.
"A Pokémon School in the middle of nowhere?" Jovan asked confused.
Brock takes the paper out of Misty's hands. "Hm." Brock said.
"Let's see what it says about this place." Seth said.
"Pokémon Technical Institute, a boarding school for serious Pokémon Trainer Preparation. All students guarantee to enter Pokémon League upon Graduation."
Dratini watches Pikachu climbs up on the treadmill and started pushing random buttons. The treadmill shakes, making Pikachu fell on the running pad and begins running.
"Pokémon Technical is an education facility for an exceptional student who wants to become Pokémon Trainers in a very short time."
Brock puts his hand on top of the treadmill and pushes one of the buttons making the treadmill to go faster. Pikachu couldn't keep up and fell off the treadmill.
"Without having to travel and collecting all badges on their journey." Seth said.
"So that's the story then." Brock said.
"Getting Badges into the Pokémon League is easy." Jovan said.
"But wait, there's more." Seth said, looking at the paper.
Pikachu looks at the treadmill and kicks it. Pikachu grunts in pain while Dratini laughs.
"Student entrée fees intuition with the highest standards set by Pokémon Technical." Brock finished.
Misty, Anna, Jovan and Ash looks at each other.
"You know what that means don't you?" Misty asked.
"It's one of those snotty private schools that only millionaire kids can go to." Anna said.
"That really makes me mad." Ash growled angrily. "Where is this place?"
"It's right over there." Joe said, pointing at the fog.
"Huh?" Jovan asked confused.
The fog began to disappear and they can see the school.
"Today's special class, "Fog Battle Techniques", has now ended. Tomorrow's lesson is "Snow Competitions Secrets". A woman's voice said over the speakers.
"Oh well." Joe sighed. "I guess they'll make me in a snowman again."
Slade walks over and looks to his right at Joe. "Do they treat you all the time?" Slade asked.
"My friends are just trying to help me." Joe said.
"You call them friends?" Ash asked shocked.
Brock walks up to Joe. "With friends like that, who needs enemies?"
"But they help me learn that Pdigey evolves to Pidgeotto at Level 18, it learns Whirlwind at Level 21, Wing Attack at Level 31 and that its level rises, it learns various tricks. After evolving to Pidgeot, it can cat 1,200 meters and speeds of up to mach 2."
"But I don't get it." Ash said, crossing his arms as he looks at Joe. "If you know everything about Pidgey, why didn't you just answer them before?"
"Sometime I make believe that I don't know all the answers." Joe said. "Because if I do, they'll make the questions that much harder. But I have to stay here at Pokémon Tech. My mother and father work hard and save money so they paid and send me to school here. You see that guy over there?"
Jovan looks in Joe's direction to see a boy with glasses reading a book under a tree.
"He's an upper classmen." Joe explained. "The classes are so hard here, some students are held back for many years. Everybody's too ashamed to go home without getting a diploma. That guy, he's in the beginner's class with me."
"You're a beginner?" Slade asked.
Joe looks at Slade. "Beginners have the same qualifications as someone with two badges. The intermediate class has the qualification of four, and advance has the same as six. If you graduate, you can enter the Pokémon League without traveling around to collect the badges. That guy is a beginner, but he's so much older than anybody in the class, the kids don't bother to help him when they help me."
"What does the teachers have to say about this kind of help?" Misty asked, walking up next to Joe.
Joe looks at her. "They don't even know about it. If they do, they pretend not to."
Jovan crosses his arms over his chest. "I for one think this is a violation of students rights that must be stop immediately, if not sooner."
"We want to meet the student in charge of this system and we'll see that it stops." Ash said.
"Here's a picture." Joe said, taking out a picture from his uniform.
Everyone takes a look at the picture. In the picture was a long brown hair girl.
"It's a girl?" Misty asked confused.
"Oh yeah." Ash said, blushing. "You're right about that."
"She could violate my rights if-" Brock said, blushing.
"Hey!" Misty yelled angrily. "If she's making your life miserable, how come you're carrying a picture around?"
"I hate the way she treat us, but I like the way she looks." Joe said, looking at Misty.
"Yeah." Jovan said. "Not like any girls who treats you bad and look even worse."
Misty and Anna looks at Ash, Jovan and Brock.
"While you four are slobbering over that picture, we're going to find this witch and straighten her out!" Anna shouted at them.
"Hey!" Jovan called. "Misty, Anna, wait!"
Team Rocket was standing on a hill and Justin and Meowth was looking through the binoculars.
"That places brings back memories, James." Jessie said.
"It certainly does, Jessie." James agreed. "And all of them were awful."
Meowth looks at them and closes his eyes. "Tell us a tale of failure again."
"We studied for the big test." Jessie said.
"And so sure to beat all the rest." James.
"And here is the part I like the best." Meowth said.
"We frolic that night for our future seems bright." Jessie said.
"But things weren't right." James said.
Jessie and James hold their hands together. "We got the lowest scores in the history of the school." Jessie and James cried.
"You two should look at the bright side." Justin said.
"What's the bright side?" Sam and Libby asked.
"At least you guys were at the top of the bottom." Meowth said.
"Thanks, Meowth!" Jessie and James thanked as they picks up Meowth and start rubbing their faces against his face.
"These two are worse than I thought." Meowth thought.
"I like it better when they're nasty, right you two?" Justin asks Sam and Libby.
"Oh yeah." Sam said.
"I agree." Libby agreed.
"Giselle always practice here by herself." Joe said, opening the door.
In the room was full of computers. They all walk inside.
"Even if you beat her in a fair fight, it won't matter to her." Joe said. "At the tech, your skill as a Pokémon Trainer that counts than winning a battle."
"That's what we're hoping." Jovan said as he shows him his two badges."Because, July, Anna, Seth and myself has two badges."
Joe shrugs his shoulders. "But Giselle is the top beginner here at the Tech." Joe said. "That's even better than having three badges." He crosses his arms over his chest. "Even though I'm at the of my class, I'm still more powerful than people that had two badges."
"Hold on a second!" Misty shouted angrily as she and Anna pushes Ash and Jovan out of the way. "I learn how to be a Pokémon Trainer at the Cerulean City Gym."
"Are you saying that you can beat her?" Anna growled.
"Oh." Joe said. He presses a button and the screen turned on. Then he sat down. "Cerulean City. Water Pokémon."
"How did you know?" Jovan asked.
"I always beat them on a simulator." Joe said, watching Starmie faint. "See?"
"What is this?" Misty growled. "A simulation is one thing but this is real life. Let's battle."
Joe stands up and looks at Misty. "You'll be sorry." Joe said.
Outside from the window was Sam and Jessie looking through the window. There was a big battlefield behind the computers. Misty stood on the right side of the field and Joe was standing on the left side of the field.
"Why do you two have to battle for?" Ash asked.
Misty calls Starmie!" Misty throws a Pokéball onto the field and Starmie appeared.
"Too bad your water Pokémon won't be able to defeat my plant." Joe said. "Alright, Weepinbell let's go!" Joe throws the Pokéball and another Pokémon appeared. It has a yellow, bell-shaped body with a single green leaf on either side. It uses these razor sharp leaves to slice up prey. It has a wide, gaping mouth with pink lips. Above it's circular eyes is a pattern of three small green spots and small hook-shaped stem.
"Bell." Weepinbell said.
"I'll teach him about Pokémon." Misty growled. "Starmie go!"
Starmie releases a spiral of water from the tip of its up-most limb at Weepinbell, sending Weepinbell flying.
"Huh?" Joe asked confused. "But Weepinbell is strong against Water Pokémon."
"True." A voice said. "But there's one thing you didn't know."
Joe turns around to see Giselle standing right across from. Your opponent is from the Cerulean City Gym. Her Pokémon has much more experience at battling."
The five boys from before walks up and stands behind Giselle.
"You should have known that." Giselle scolds Joe. "You're an embarrassment to the whole school."
"But Giselle-" Joe tried to explain.
"She's really pretty, isn't she?" Ash asked.
"Yeah." Brock answered. "She's just like a movie star."
Anna looks at them. "They like stars, do they." Anna thought. "I'll be so glad to show them stars."
"I'm the top student in the beginner's class at the exclusive prep school in the world, Pokémon Tech." Giselle said. "It's sad for others who don't have my beauty, my talent, my humble attitude. People call me a star but I'm just Giselle."
Jessie looks at Sam. "I think she's more conceited than James and I."
"Yes, but she's awfully cute, isn't she?" Sam asked.
"Not as cute for Meowth." Meowth said.
Jessie and Sam punch Meowth as Meowth is sent flying high in the air.
"You're in the way!" Jessie shouted.
"Stop bothering us!" Sam yelled.
"Meowww!" Meowth screamed as he disappear.
Giselle walks up to Joe. "I want to continue to help my classmates to be the very best they can be." Giselle said as she brought her hand over to her red tie. "To teach each other, respect each other and ensure the Pokémon of tomorrow, but you're a weakling."
"Uh…" Joe said.
"You better get stronger fast or before you know it your fellow students will turn their backs on you, for good. Hmph." Giselle said, as she closed her eyes and turns to walk away with her back turn on Joe.
"Not so fast." Anna said.
Giselle stops walking.
"A true friend wouldn't walk away from someone who needs their help." Anna said, putting her hands on her hips. "You may look beautiful, but you remind me of an old saying that beauties only skin deep."
"Jealousy's not very pretty, is it?" Giselle snickered.
"We've better do something." Jovan said to Seth.
Seth leans in to Jovan. "Wise Pokémon Trainer never gets involve in a cat fight." Seth whispered.
"Huh?" Jovan asked confused.
"So what's going on here?" a voice asked.
Giselle sees another girl leaning her back against the computers. The girl has long brown hair and brown eyes, but she was also wearing her school uniform. She has the face of Kimberly Hart, but this was just a conquincidence.
"Amy Hart?" Anna asked, surprised.
Amy Hart is a rich kid and goes to the same school as Anna. She's in the same classes as Anna but Amy was never paired up with Anna projects at the school.
"Hello Anna." Amy greeted, walking up to Anna.
"You know each other?" Joe asked.
"Of course." Amy answered. "We go to the same school."
"How did you get here?" Slade asked.
"I was tired after doing homework." Amy said, looking at Slade. "I fell asleep and the next thing I knew, I ended up here."
"I see." Slade said.
Amy looks back at Anna. "So how does it feel to be a Gym Leader at the Cerulean City Gym with your sisters?" Amy asked.
"You're a Gym Leader?" Joe asked.
"How did you know that?" Jovan asked.
"I've heard that the Cerulean City Gym has four more Gym Leaders." Amy said.
"Wow." Joe said amazed. Do you have Water Pokémon like Misty?"
Anna shook her head. "No." Anna said. "I have a Vulpix and a Pidgeotto."
"Awsome." Joe smiled.
"Jovan?" a voice asked.
Jovan turns his head to the left and sees another boy looking at him. The boy was wearing the same school uniform and has short blonde hair and green eyes.
"Hunter." Jovan said.
Hunter Pierce is a friend of Jovan. Jovan helps Hunter out at the elementary school and helps out some other kids with their homework.
"I forgot that Hunter was here too." Amy said.
"Let's quit the chatter so Giselle and I can battle." Misty growled.
"I'll battle Anna then." Amy said.
"Fine." Anna said.
Giselle and Amy went over to a bench and picks up two Pokéballs.
"Against your water Pokémon, I'll choose Graveler. Go!" Giselle tosses the Pokéball onto the floor and the Pokémon appeared. It has a rocky crest about its small eyes. It has four arms, each with a three-fingered hand.
"Grav." It said.
"Go, Vul!" Anna tosses a Pokéball into the air and Vul appeared.
"Against your Vulpix, I'll choose Tangela!" Amy tosses a Pokéball into the air and the Pokémon appeared. It was covered with thick blue vines that obscure its face so only its eyes can be seen. These vines are covered in fine hair, and they give it a round shape. It is unknown what it looks like without them. The vines are always growing, and can be replaced if lost or damaged. It has a pair of red boot-like feet, but no visible arms.
"Graveler?!" Brock asked shocked. "But Rock Pokémon are weak against Water Pokémon."
"And Grass Pokémon are weak against Fire Pokémon." Seth said, crossing his arms.
"My Pokémon are such an advance level it can beat Water Pokémon." Giselle said.
"Go!" Amy yelled.
Both Graveler and Tangela jumps in the air and tries to hit Starmie and Vul, but they dodge the attack. Starmie and Vul was about to attack as Graveler jumps backwards and Tangela jumps forward to Starmie and Vul when they released Ember and Water Gun. It was a direct hit but Graveler hits Starmie's jewel head on as the jewel was cracked and Tangela hits Vul into Starmie as they were both sent flying out the window. Starmie landed in the pool and Vul landed on ground. Anna and Misty stood there, shock of what happen.
"I can't…" Misty muttered shocked. "Believe it…"
"That's…" Anna grunted as she her right hand made a fist. "Impossible…"
Everyone was standing outside the pool as Giselle and Amy was looking at Misty and Anna, who was kneeling down with their injured Pokémon.
"Now that we're by the pool, your Pokémon specialty, you can choose a different Water Pokémon if you want." Giselle said.
"And since you don't have any Water Pokémon, Anna, you can use a different Pokémon if you want." Amy said.
Anna looks up at her. "No thanks." Anna growled.
Misty looks at Giselle. "Oh, and I'm sure you'll use another Pokémon who's weak against Water and Fire." Misty said sarcastically.
Amy crosses her arms over her chest. "Pokémon are only stronger by the trainer who raises them. Amy said. "A Pokémon, who's weaker but, better trained, can still win, depending on the trainer."
Giselle looks over her right shoulder to look at Joe and Hunter. "We hope that your learning something from this, you two."
"Uh…" the two boys said.
"A Pokémon's level of training is just as important of factor as a Pokémon's Type as deciding a match." Giselle said. "A First Class Pokémon Trainer can easily calculate that."
"Wait a minute." Ash said, stepping forward.
Jovan walks up to Ash's left side and crosses his arms. "If you ask me, there's more to Pokémon Training than calculating levels." Jovan said.
"Who are you?" Giselle asked, looking at the two boys.
"I'm Ash Ketchum, from Pallet." Ash said.
"Jovan, July, Anna and Seth have already two badges." Slade said.
"In other words, you're a Beginner." Giselle chuckled.
"And how long have you all been trying to become a Pokémon Trainer?" Amy asked.
"About two months." Ash said.
"Ever since we arrived here from our world." Jovan said, stopping himself from saying another word.
"What was that?" Giselle asked.
"Nothing." July lied, walking up to her brother and pulls his ear. "We have to watch what we're saying around." July muttered to Jovan. "Otherwise, we'll get into trouble."
"Sorry." Jovan moaned, rubbing his left ear.
"Two whole months and you let your Pikachu and Dratini roam free and you can't be able to tame them?" Giselle asked, pretending to be surprised.
"Pika." Pikachu said.
"Maybe your Pokémon are training you." Amy said.
"We don't want to train them because they're our friends." Jovan growled. "So does my Pidgeotto and Ash's Pidgeotto along with Butterfree and Growlithe."
"Is that all?" Amy asked.
"Huh?" Jovan asked confused.
"That's funny." Amy said. "Because even new Pokémon Trainers at least six Pokémon while you two got two badges and three Pokémon. Those two were lucky, don't you agree?"
"Every one of ours has the power of two." Ash said, making a fist.
"I wonder." Amy said. "With two months of experience, your Pikachu should at Level 25, but it's probably not there yet."
"I suppose you didn't know much about Pokémon and your Pikachu is your first one."Amy said. "Pikachu hard to handle. It says so in any Beginner Pokémon Manual."
Ash stares at them angrily.
"You really didn't know?" Giselle asked. "And you still have two badges? How funny!"
"A Pikachu evolves into an electric Pokémon called Raichu." Amy explains. "It gets to be about two ft and seven inches tall. Pikachu can shock you, otherwise it's cute and don't you think?"
"So if you don't let them evolve, they make great pets, especially for little girls." Giselle said. "But I'm sure you knew that, didn't you?"
"Really, you didn't know?" Amy asked, pretending to be shocked. "And you still have two Badges?"
Giselle and Amy started laughing. "Ha ha ha!"
"Knock it off!" Ash yelled, making a fist and took a step forward with Jovan.
Pikachu and Dratini jumps in front of Ash and Jovan.
"Let's settle this in a battle." Jovan growled.
"For your Pikachu and Dratini, this should be more than a match." Giselle said, holding a Pokéball. "Cubone, go!' Giselle threw the Pokéball and the Pokémon appeared. It was a small, bipedal Pokémon with a golden brown hide that covers most of its body, including both dorsal spikes. Its belly is a very light brown. Two small claws, one on each hand, serve as its thumbs, and two large nails make up its toes. On its head, it wears the skull as a helmet. Because of this, much of its actual face has never actually been seen, except for its triangular, black eyes and a small area surrounding them. The skull has two rounded horns on the top of its head and a tooth-like point on the lower sides. Under the skull, it also has a brown snout.
"Cubone bone bone." Cubone said. "Cubone."
"Go, Magnemite!" Amy threw her Pokéball and the Pokémon appeared. is a seemingly robotic life form that has a gray, spherical metal body with horseshoe magnets on each side and a single, large eye. It has three Philips head screws on its body: two near the bottom of its body, and the other on top of its head and looks similar to an antenna.
"Magnemite." Magnemite said.
"Pikachu and Dratini are different than any other Pikachu or Dratini and they're our friends." Jovan said. "Bubblebeam!"
"Shock Attack!" Ash ordered.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted, releasing multiple lightning bolts at Cubone. Cubone raises his Bone in the right hand and started spinning it around to deflect the attack.
Magnemite took the attack from Dratini.
"What?!" Ash gasps.
"Pika!" Pikachu said, shocked.
"Pikachu can't shock it." Giselle said. "Cuebone, start things up with your Leer attack."
Cuebone glares at Pikachu.
"Magnemite, use Sonic Boom." Amy ordered.
Magnemite spins rapidly around, sending a large white shockwave at Draini.
"Pikachu, stare it down!" Ash shouted.
Pikachu looks at Ash.
"Like this." Ash said, making a face.
Pikachu made a face and stares back at Cuebone. The two Pokémon began to walk towards each other and stops walking.
"Cuebone, Bone Club, now." Giselle ordered.
Cuebone hits Pikachu with the bone he's holding.
"Hey, that's not fair!" Ash shouted.
"I'm not playing around." Giselle said. "This isn't a staring contest."
"This is a contest of power and skill between two Pokémon." Amy said.
"Cuebone, time for the Bomerang!" Giselle ordered.
Cuebone throws the bone he was holding. The bone hits Pikachu once and returns to Cubone.
"Tackle attack." Amy ordered.
Magnemite tackles Dratini.
"Cha!" Pikachu yelled, landing on the floor.
"Pikachu!" Ash shouted, running towards him and kneeling down. Ash looks at Giselle. "Throwing that bone is a cheap way to win." Ash said angrily.
"Well that's Cubone's special attack." Giselle said. "It's authorized by the Pokémon League and it's perfectly legal."
"It's still a dirty trick." Ash said. Ash looks at Pikachu who was getting up. "Pikahu?"
Cuebone threw his bone again, making Pikachu roll backwards.
"Pikachu!" Ash shouted, running towards Pikachu.
"You doing alright?" Jovan asked as Dratini landed next to Pikachu. Dratini nodded as the bone went back to Cuebone.
"Calling it a cheap trick simply proves your own ignorance." Amy taunted.
"Hang in there, Pikachu." Ash said, looking at Pikachu. "If your opponent's attacks are authorized, fighting back is too."
"Give it your best shot, you two." Jovan said to Pikachu and Dratini.
"Come one Pikachu." Ash said.
"Bonemerang!" Giselle ordered.
"Tackle!" Amy commanded.
Pikachu ran at Cuebone and dodges the attack. Cuebone was shocked and Pikachu landed on Cuebone's skull and turned it around so it can't see. Dratini wraps her tail around Magenemite's body.
"Go on, Pikachu!" Ash encourages Pikachu. "Give it everything you got!"
Pikachu bites Cuebone's tail, scratching Cuebone's back and kicks Cuebone's skull to make it spin.
"Let it rip!" Jovan yelled.
Dratini releases Magnemite, making it spin into the Bone. As the skull stops spinning around, Cuebone yelled.
"CUE!" Cuebone yelled, as Magnemite and the Bone crashes in to Cuebone, making Cuebone fell on his back and Magnemite landing on the ground.
"Cuebone." Giselle said, worried.
"CUE!" Cuebone started crying.
"We've did it!" Ash cheered.
"Pika!" Pikachu cheering with Ash.
"We've lost." Giselle muttered, taking out Cuebone's Pokéball. "Cuebone, good try. Come on back, don't cry."
Cuebone transformed into red energy and went back inside the Pokéball. Amy walks over to Magnemite and knelt down next to it while holding its Pokéball.
"That was a good try." Amy said. "Take a good rest."
Magnemite transformed into red energy and went back inside the Pokéball. The two girls look back at Jovan and Ash.
"None of the textbooks never mentions a Pikachu winning by anything from its electric attacks." Giselle said.
"Now that was a once in a lifetime battle." Hunter said.
"And don't try to copy it." Misty said, walking besides Ash. "It was kind of a fluke."
"It was a cool fluke, wasn't it?" Joe asked.
Jessie, James, Justin, Sam and Libby was watching them all from a good distance on the other side of the fence.
"There's another way to win that's not in the textbooks." Jessie said, looking at James. "Isn't there, you guys?"
"Let's show them." James grinned wickedly.
"I can't believe we lost a match." Amy said with her eyes shut. She opens her eyes and sees some smoke appearing. "Huh?"
"Oh no." Ash complains. "It's not…"
"Allow us to introduce ourselves." Jessie and James said.
"To protect the world from devastation."
"To unite all people within our nation."
"To denounce the evils of truth and love. To extend our reach from the stars above."
"Jessie."
"James."
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light."
"Surrender now or prepare to fight."
"Meowth!" Meowth yelled, landing in the water and did a back flip out the water in front of his friends. "I love a splashy entrance."
Sam, Libby and Justin stood behind them.
"I've heard of Team Rocket." Giselle said. "You're the ones who got the worst score on the entrance exams."
"I heard about you three as well." Amy said, noticing Justin, Sam and Libby. "Three of you got score on the Super Written Exam."
"How about your team vs our team?" Giselle asked, taking out a Pokéball. The students chuckled and took out their Pokéballs as well.
"The five of us against all of them?!" Jessie asked shocked.
"But the rules say one on one." James said, nervously.
"Bad guys don't play by the rules." Amy said. "Get'em!"
They all started throwing their Pokéballs at them.
"There are too many Pokéballs!" Jessie shouted as they all turn around, got over the fence and started running away.
"At least we played by the rules!" Sam shouted.
"Only for a little while!" Meowth yelled.
"Looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again!" Jessie and James yelled as they left the school grounds.
Giselle and Amy were sitting down by the edge of the pool, looking at the sunset.
"There are some things you can't just learn in school." Giselle said.
"And that's a good lesson." Amy smiled.
Joe and Hunter walk up behind them.
"Hunter and I are going back home to start from scratch with our very fist Pokémon like Ash and Jovan." Joe said.
"Hey you two," Hunter said, looking at Giselle and Amy. "Perhaps we'll meet someday at the Pokémon League."
"We hope so." Amy said as they all look back at the sunset.
"Amy and I will both try are hardest to be a worthy opponent if we do."
"Is it alright if I keep your picture?" Joe asked.
"Sure." Giselle said.
"We have pictures of our friends too." Amy said.
Hunter looks at Amy. "You have our picture too?" Hunter asked.
"We're all friends now," Amy said as they got up and looks at Joe and Hunter. "Aren't we?"
"Good luck you two." Giselle said holding her hand.
Joe grabs her hand. "You too, Giselle and Amy."
"See," Jovan said, who was standing away with Ash, Misty and Anna. "Why can't we all be like that, you two?"
Anna looks at Ash and Jovan, placing her hands on hips. "We'll tell you why." Anna said.
"Because Joe and Hunter doesn't owe them a bike." Misty said angrily, walking up to Ash and Jovan.
"Ha ha ha." Ash chuckles nervously, putting his hand behind his head.
"So," Amy said, walking up to them with Giselle, Joe and Hunter. "Maybe we'll battle again someday."
"I sure hope so." Misty said.
"Me too." Jovan said.
Hunter, Joe, Amy and Giselle nodded.
As they were all walking through the woods, they all stop walking and took one last look at the Pokémon Tech School.
So as Ash, Jovan and their friends' journey on, they took one last look at the school where they learn so much.
