Reader: You are correct! As for how it's going to fit with the Brothers and Maidens Lore, well let's just say that It's actually quite important for both~
Xerzo LotCN: Yes, Jaune is getting stronger. The last chapter was to show how much he's grown, after all, the last fight he had with a strong Grimm, The Goliath, it nearly killed him, now, thanks to his training, he is a lot stronger and is able to take on more dangerous Grimm. As for Jaune getting another sword? Well, that is a concept I planned on, but am still working on how and when to put it in (not to mention he won't use it unless it's extreme). As for Cinder's plan... it will be different than the new Canon however, not so different from the Original V2 plan. As for the Mt. Glenn part of the story, It will also bring an important part to the story! Also, as I said before, Alyx's book is very important to the story!

Today was the day! Tonight, the Vytal Ball would commence! And each student from all four academies would be able to have fun and party for the night. But for now, our Heroes were doing what most Huntsmen in training did at 12:00 in the afternoon. Eat lunch and talk about how their classes went.
"I'm telling you... I have no idea where it all goes," Neptune said
Currently, Team CFVY, Jaune, and Neptune were in awe as they were watching Sun eat three whole plates of Mistralian meat meals.
"Maybe there's like a black hole in his stomach?" Velvet suggested
"It's amazing how much he can eat while always staying so fit," Fox said
Jaune nodded in agreement, "Tell me about it," Jaune said
"Seriously, Sun, What's your secret?" Coco asked
Sun shrugged as he swallowed a bite of his food.
Coco smirked and looked over at Jaune and Neptune, "Oh, by the way, what are you two going to wear to the dance tonight?"
"Me and Jaune will be wearing some tuxes we got a week before," Neptune said "And I think the ladies are gonna love it!" Neptune finished with a smirk
Jaune rolled his eyes, "Speak for yourself," Jaune said "What chick is gonna be interested in me?"
'You'd be surprised,' Coco and Velvet thought at the same time
"Hey, Guys!"
Everyone turned around to see Arslan and Reese with a very familiar person following behind them.
"Friend Jaune!", Penny Polendina raced over to the table Jaune was sitting at and brought him into a tight hug.
"It's so good to see you again friend Jaune!" Penny said as she wrapped her hands around Jaune.
It's good to see you too Penny," Jaune said, though, his face was slowly starting to become purple, "C-Could you let me go now... I-I can't breathe!"
"Oh, sorry!" Penny said with a bashful smile.
Penny let Jaune go and Jaune took in a deep breath of air and then let it out, Jaune then looked at Penny with a smile. Meanwhile, Velvet looked at Arslan and Reese with a confused look.
"You guys know Penny?" Velvet asked
Reese nodded, "She's always in the maintenance room working on her weapons, she looked a little shy around people so I thought it would be nice to talk to her and have her know someone here," Reese said with a proud smile
"Really?" Velvet said, "How come you never mentioned this before?"
"I didn't know you guys knew her or she knew you, until a few minutes ago," Reese said, "Pen told me she was looking for someone and when I asked who, she said Jaune, and I told her I know Jaune and she asked me if I can help her look for him and I agreed," Reese said
"Pen?" Velvet asked,
Reese nodded, "It's my nickname for her like "Ars" is for Arslan,"
"Makes sense," Coco chimed in, "But why was she looking for Jaune?"
Reese shrugged, "Don't know," Reese replied
"It's good to see you again Penny, it's been a while!" Jaune said
"It has!" Penny replied, "Friend Jaune, I have a question to ask you?"
"Uh, sure, what's up?" Jaune asked
"Would you like to accompany me to the Vytal ball?" Penny asked
hearing this, the four girls froze in shock, not believing what they just heard. As for Neptune, the too was in shock, but that quickly turned to him being proud of his blonde friend. Meanwhile, Fox and Yatsuhashi began to sweat, afraid of what the girls might do. Sun just kept eating.
Jaune was surprised by her question, but he wasn't too surprised to answer her, "I would love to Penny," Jaune replied, "though if I can ask... why me?" Jaune asked
'Yeah! WHY HIM!?' The four girls thought
"Well I was not able to get a date to the ball and because I don't have many friends, I thought you would be the best option since you are my Boyfriend,"
"Boyfriend!?" Jaune asked
"BOYFRIEND!?" The four girls cried
"Yes, you are a boy, and you are my friend, are you not?" Penny asked
Jaune blushed a little, "I-I am, but Penny, I-I think you're using that term wrong," Jaune told her with an awkward smile
"Really?" Penny asked, "How so?"
'Does she really not know? She must really be sheltered' Jaune thought, "A Boyfriend Penny is a person you are dating, you know... going out to see movies and stuff like that! You know, Romance and junk!" Jaune said
"Ah, I see!" Penny said, "Forgive me for the misunderstanding then!" Penny said happily
"It's no biggie, Penny," Jaune told her with a smile
Penny nodded with a smile, "Well then, I will see you at the dance later, friend Jaune!" Penny said as she walked away with a kick in her step and a big smile on her face.
Jaune watched her leave before turning back to his friends only to sense a wave of negative and dark aura coming off his four female friends. A bead of sweat rolled down his head, "I-Is there something wrong girls?" Jaune asked
"NO!" They cried
'What did I do?' Jaune asked himself
Across the table, Fox leaned into Yatsuhashi, "How he's not dead yet, I will never know," Fox whispered
Yatsuhashi leaned back over to fox, "I agree," Yatsuhashi said
Jaune looked over to Fox and Yatsuhashi, "You guy's say something?" Jaune asked
"Nope," they both said
'Weird... why is everyone so in sync today?' Jaune asked himself, "Alright... well I was wondering if you guys wanted to join me for one more sparing session before we have to get ready for the dance?"
"Sure thing," Fox said
"I would be happy to help," Yatsuhashi replied
"Hey count me in too," Neptune said
"Hell yeah! I can use a good workout before the dance!" Sun said with his mouthful
Jaune nodded, "Alright," Jaune said "I'm done eating so I'll go on ahead," Jaune told them
Jaune then got up from the table and walked over to the trash to throw his trash away, before he walked back and left the empty tray where all students left the trays and then walked out of the cafeteria.
Meanwhile, the girls had calmed down and continued to finish their food, however, their spirits were a bit low as their idea of asking Jaune out to the dance had failed.
"last time I ever help a friend..." Reese said with a pout.

Meanwhile, as all of this was happening, Team NDGO was back at their dorm having a last-minute team meeting called by Nebula.
Dew looked at her leader, with a raised brow, "What's going on Neb? Why'd you call a team meeting?" Dew asked
Nebula sighed, "I've been... I've been feeling really terrible about what happened the other day..." Nebula said
"You mean what happened with Arc?" Dew asked
Nebula nodded, "Yeah," she replied "I feel terrible that we didn't help him back there,"
"And why would we?" Dew asked "It's not our fault he wants to play hero and nearly get himself killed," Dew said
Nebula looked at her partner with a slight glare, "But he didn't die!" Nebula said "He had a plan and it worked and what did we do? Runoff and not even bother to help!"
Dew glared at her leader/partner, "Hey! You saw what that thing could do! It trapped Octavia and Gwen with ease! You really think we all should have stayed and fought that thing!?"
"Yes! I do now!" Nebula cried "Are you forgetting that if Jaune didn't buy us enough time we would have never got Professor Peach, Gwen, and Octavia out of the Webs! Worse it might have captured us!"
"So what!? Arc was good bait! I say we still made the right choice of getting the hell out of there while we could!" Dew yelled
"Nebula's right" Octavia chimed in
Dew now turned to Octavia with a glare, "Are you really agreeing with this!?" Dew cried
"I am," Octavia replied with a nod, "Jaune put his life on the line for us, and we couldn't do the same... what kind of people does that make us?"
"Smart!" Dew cried
"It makes us cowards!" Octavia cried
Dew growled, "You are all being wimps!" Dew said "We did the right thing of getting out of there, and things still worked out, Arc is fine and so is Professor Peach! And even then, if Arc died so what!? We're Vacovians! if we and others don't have the strength to fight and survive, then we and them don't deserve to live!"
"But we're not in Vacuo," Gwen chimed in, "We're in Vale and things are different here, we can't keep running from fights and battles that seem too tough... if we keep running away while people are left to die then we're no better than the Grimm..." Gwen said
Nebula nodded in agreement, "Jaune was willing to risk his life for us and he trusted us, and we left him to save our own asses" Nebula said "We've been doing that for a long time, blaming it on others being weak or not having the guts to survive... but the truth is that all of us... we're cowards"
Dew could feel anger growing inside of her, rising like a fire. She glared at her teammates, "I can't believe all of you!" Dew said, "Y-Your all being idiots!" Dew said
Octavia gave her teammate a sad look, "Dew... you can't deny that Neb's right," Octavia said "I-I know it's a hard thing to hear-"
"NO!" Dew cried "It's not the damn truth! We are not cowards! We know that it's more important to survive than to do anything else! Screw anyone who says otherwise! Screw the people that wanna give their own lives to save those that are too weak to defend themselves! That is how we live!"
"But maybe it's the wrong way to live..." Octavia said
Dew could feel her anger growing, she didn't want to hear this. She picked up her weapon and walked to the door.
"Dew where are you going!?" Nebula asked
"I'm gonna blow off some steam while I let you guys come back to your senses!" Dew said
"Dew!" Gwen cried out
But it was too late, Dew left the room and walked over to the arena to blow off some steam. She was angry. Angry at her teammates for being idiots and doubting how they survived. And it was all because Nebula felt bad about leaving Arc's sorry ass!
Jaune Arc.
Who cares if he loved or died!? Why the hell did he have to be such a goddamned fool and play the hero!? Why did he have to be... him!? It was his fault! His fault her team was second-guessing their way of life! His fault her team was going to become weak! Now, her anger was focused on one person, one specific person that she wanted to punch right in his stupid face.
'Your gonna regret what you've done, Arc,' Dew told herself

Wow! Dew seems really pissed huh? Wonder what's gonna happen in the next chapter? Yes, Chapters 16 and 17 will happen during the same day in the story!
I can also bet none of you were expecting Penny to be Jaune's date huh? Well, I thought it was pretty funny that Penny appeared in this chapter and just asked out Jaune to the dance (let's think of this as the girl's wake-up call to hurry up and ask the blonde blind idiot out!).
Also, when we get back to the action, trust me, none of you are going to be prepared for Chapters 19-20! SOOO much is going to be hinted at!
We technically only have 5 more chapters before we get into the "Grimm Eclipse" Arc! So yay!
