Digging For Those Diglet!
Several months has pass since Ash left his hometown with Jovan, July, Seth and Anna on their Pokémon Journey. After a lot of adventures and discoveries, the gang found themselves in the mountains.
The Pokémon Trainers were walking in a forest on a mountain.
"It's been awhile since we traveled all the way to this mountain." Brock said.
"That's right." Anna nodded her head, looking at Brock on her right side. "There are tons of places that we've seen. Where should we go now?"
"Easy." Jovan said, looking at his friend and everyone stops walking. "We head to another Gym to win another badge."
"The Fuchsia Gym isn't far from here." Brock said.
"Where is it?" Misty asked him.
"Over the mountain."
Jovan looks at the path they were on. There were several mountains that he could in the distance.
"Which mountain, Brock?" Anna asked.
Brock pulls out a map. "The map says that the Fuchsia City Gym is on the other side of one of those mountains." He was trying to figure out where the Gym was. "Oh great!" he complains. "We're surrounded by mountains on every side!"
"Don't even say that we're lost." Slade said to him.
"I won't say anything." Brock said. "Hang on. It looks like there's a road here."
"Then let's move." Ash said.
Somewhere on the mountain, Jessie, Libby, Sam and James were sitting on a picnic having lunch.
"I'm having lovely Chinese Food." Jessie smiled.
"I'll just have some rice." Libby said, holding a bowl of rice.
"It's tea and crumpets for me." James said, pouring a cup of green tea.
Justin and Meowth were exercising besides their teammates.
While everyone took a couple of steps forward, something exploded in the distance. The earth began to shake as everyone fell over.
"What was that?" Misty wondered.
They heard another explosion, not too far from where they are.
"It's over there." Ash said.
"Come on!" Jovan shouted as he got up and ran ahead of his friends.
Team Rocket and Team Neo was covered all over with their food and drinks.
"I didn't even get a taste." Jessie muttered.
"No drink for me!" James whine.
"Where did that big blast came from?" Justin wondered.
As Seth and Anna was running on the road to catch up with their friends, something caught their attention to the right. On the right side was a Pokémon. The Pokémon was a blue, spherical tadpole. It has large eyes and pink lips. There is a black and white swirl on its abdomen, which are actually its internal organs showing through its semitransparent skin.
"Poli?" he asked confused.
"Oh." Seth said. "It's a Poliwag."
"Then I'm going to capture it." Anna said, taking out a Poké Ball. "Go, Seel!" She throws the Poké Ball in the air and Seel appears.
"Seel." she said.
"Seel, use Water Gun!" Anna ordered.
Seel opens her mouth and fires a spiral of Water at Poliwag. Poliwag opens his mouth and fires a spiral of water at Seel as well. Both attacks collided with one another. The Tadpole Pokémon rams himself into Seel.
"Seel!" she cried out in pain.
"Seel, use Headbutt!" Anna ordered.
Seel slams her head against Poliwag, really hard. Poliwag rolls backward and stops a couple feet away. He shook it off and began slamming his tail multiple times on Seel.
"Use Body Slam to finish it!" Anna ordered.
Seel jumps into the air and lands on Poliwag. The Tadpole Pokémon fell forward after Seel's attack.
"Go Poké Ball!" Anna shouted, throwing the Poké Ball.
The Poké Ball taps Poliwag and Poliwag transforms into red energy. Anna and Seth watches the sphere shake three times and the Poké Ball stops shaking. Anna smiled and walks over to pick up the Poké Ball. "I've just caught a Poliwag!" Anna cheered, holding the Poké Ball in her hand.
"What are you going to name him?" Seth asks her, walking up behind Anna.
She turns around to look at him. "I'll call him Wag." Anna said.
"Good." Seth said. "Now let's go meet up with the others."
The two trainers ran back on the road and ran to catch up with their friends. But when Seth and Anna caught up to them, the two of them could see a lot of trucks crashed into each other. Seth looks down and sees their friends on the road with a foreman.
"What happened here?" Seth asked his friends.
"Apparently, Diglett is causing the whole mess here." Brock answers him.
"Diglett?" Anna asked confused.
Brock points past him and Seth and Anna look. Several feet in front of them is a tiny, brown Pokémon that seems to be perpetually buried within the earth, leaving only its head visible. It has beady black eyes and a large, round, pink nose.
"Diglett Dig. Diglett Dig." Diglett said happily, popping its head out of the ground.
"That's a Diglett?" Anna asked, taking out her Poké Dex.
"Diglett. The movement of these Ground Pokémon can be easily detected by their tracks of upturned earth."
"These Diglett are making our work a lot harder to deliver supplies to the Gaiva Dam." the foreman said. He takes a look at Seth and Anna. "You must be the second batch of trainers that we've called."
"Acutely, we're with them." Seth said to the foreman, pointing at his friends.
Ash was going to say something but a car screeches near the side of the wreckage. Sitting in the car was Gary and Mile and behind them was four buses.
"The first batch of Pokémon Trainers have arrived!" Gary announced. "The rest are inside these buses."
"It's Gary." Ash muttered.
"Well, well, well." Mile chuckled. "If it isn't Jovi from Pallet Town. I didn't know you were going to be here."
"I didn't know you were going to be here too." Jovan said.
"This is an unlucky coincidence." Mile said. "Gary and I were invited since we're the best. But unlike you, you're dead in last place."
"They're very..." Misty was saying.
"Detestable." Brock finished.
"So, what kind of Pokémon and transformation did you find?" Mile snickered.
"You can transform into Pokémon too?" Ash asked surprised.
"That's right, Mile can transform into a Pokémon too." Gary said. "But if I were to show off my Pokémon, it would be my personal fan club." Behind him was his cheerleaders.
"Are they Pokémon too?" Ash asked confused, wondering about it.
Brock came behind him and punches Ash behind the head. "Don't be dumb." Brock said angrily before looking up at Gary. "So, who are the girls?"
"They're just friends of mine." Gary said.
"They're nice friends." Brock said as he turns his attention over to the girls. "How would you lovely young ladies like to hang with me sometime?"
"Yes sir, that would be fun." the cheerleaders said together, smiling.
"Yes sir?" Brock asked, shocked of what he just heard.
Anna turns around and sighed. "There he goes again." Anna sighed.
July nodded her head. "Now the ground will shake when something happens to him."
"Can we please get back to the problem at hand?!" the foreman shouted. "Somebody has got to get rid of the Diglett!" He takes some fliers and ran back and forth while he was throwing the fliers over their heads. "Don't forget: a resort vacation!"
"Don't give it another thought, sir." Mile said to the foreman. "Those Diglett are good as gone since Gary and I are here." He and Gary got back into the car.
"So long, losers!" Gary called out to them laughing as they drove away.
"What about those numbers?" Brock asked.
"We're not losers!" Jovan growled angrily.
There were some bushes behind the trainers. Jessie, James, Libby and Sam were listening to the conversation.
"We're Pokémon Trainers." Jessie said to James. "Why don't we win that reward?"
"Now there's an idea." Sam smiled.
"If we get rid of those Diglett, we'll earn that vacation for the hotel and spa resort." Libby said. "And don't forget, all of us are a team."
"You're right." James said. "I almost forgot." All four of them stands up.
"And that team is Team Rocket and Team Neo!" Jessie and James cheered, striking their poses. Libby and Sam has their backs to each other.
Meowth and Justin was little creeped out of their friends. Meowth picks up the phone. "Hello." Meowth said. "I was wondering if it's possible to transfer to a less embarrassing team."
Half an hour has passed and there were a lot of Pokémon Trainers at the construction site. The foreman was standing on a wooded crate box in front of the crowd and holding a mega phone.
"We greatly appreciate all of you talented Pokémon Trainers interrupting your training and help us to get rid of the Diglett." the foreman said.
Jovan was looking around him. There is so many trainers here.
"Boy with the Dragonair, pay attention!"
"Why don't you call me by my name?" Jovan muttered.
Team Rocket and Team Neo was standing on a cliff, looking at everyone down at the construction site.
"Look at all of them." Libby said. "Imagine all the Pokémon they have on them."
James takes out a black calculator. "Now let's see." James said, putting in the numbers. "If each trainer has six Pokémon, then that'll be six times of that many Pokémon."
"We'll leave you with the math and Meowth and I will grab all the Pokémon." Justin said.
"It's a Pokémon bonanza." Jessie smiled.
Sam smiled as well but then he stops smiling. "Let's just give up." Sam sighs sadly as he turns around.
Libby turns around to look at her teammate. "What's wrong?" Libby asks him
Sam turns his around. "How are we supposed to defeat all those Pokémon if all we have is Ekans, Koffing, Weedle, Spearow and Pidgey?" Sam whines. He has a point. How were they going to defeat them all?
"We'll do another sneak attack." Libby said with a smile.
"Have they really work in the past?" James asked.
"Then we'll go with Plan B!" Meowth shouted.
Jessie nodded her head. "Right."
"Then let's do it." James said as they all stand up.
"It's Principle Induced Evolution!" they all yelled.
The foreman unrolls a poster of Diglett. There was a blue X on the Diglett. He turns around and speaks again. "Pokémon Trainers, here you see Diglett, the greatest parasitic bug in our century."
"Just a minute." Gary interrupted, raising his hand. He was standing in the front with Mile. "Diglett is a not a Bug Pokémon. The matter of the fact is using the term "Mole Pokémon is appropriate. With a height of eight inches and a weight of two pounds, they're hardly candidates to be called the greatest anything in our century."
"That showoff thinks he knows everything." Ash growled.
"They may be weak, but together, they can destroy anything." the foreman said. But before he can say anything, a rumble can heard. The crowd turns around to see what was approaching them. "Oh no! It's the Diglett!"
"Diglett Dig." a voice said from underground. One Diglett went over to a nearby bus and the bus fell in a hole. Several Diglett pops their head in the ground.
Gary and Mile rushes past the crowd. "Mile and I will handle this." Gary said. His fan club began to cheer for them. "Now everyone will see what two top trainers can do." Gary said as he and Mile take out a Poké Ball. "This should do the trick." Gary throws his Poké Ball forward.
"Let's go!" Mile shouted, throwing his Poké Ball as well.
The two Poké Balls stopped rolling and opens. The white light came out but it stops halfway. The color changes to red and the energy went back inside the Poké Ball.
"What's happening?!" Mile exclaims.
"Their Pokémon won't come out." Jovan said.
"But why?" July wondered.
Two Diglett pops their heads underneath the Poké Balls and dug over to Gary and Mile.
"Thanks, little guy." Mile said.
"Hang on!" Gary yells angrily. "This can't happen! Let's leave this to our best Pokémon!"
"Right." Mile agreed as the two trainers takes out another Poké Ball. "Go for it!" Gary and Mile throws their two Poké Balls again. The two spheres open. A white light tried to escape but it transforms back into red energy and went back inside the Poké Balls.
"What's going on?" Mile groans.
"We'll use every Pokémon we have!" Gary shouted, throwing every single Poké Ball on him.
"Please! Stop them!" the foreman begs them. "Stop the Diglett!"
Everyone except for Ash, Brock, Misty, Jovan, July, Anna, Seth, Slade, Pikachu and Dragonair, started throwing their Poké Balls. One by one, not a single Pokémon came out. Not one. There was a huge pile of Poké Balls in front of them. One by one, the Diglett digs towards the trainers to hand back their Poké Balls.
"At least they're nice." Misty said.
"And unstoppable." Brock added.
Jovan looks at Seth. "Shouldn't we help out too?" Jovan asks Seth, taking out his Poké Ball.
"Nair." Dragonair said, placing her tail in front of her trainer.
"Dragonair." Jovan said, turning his head at Dragonair.
Gary and Mile walks over to them. "The Pokémon doesn't want to battle the Diglett for some reason." Gary said.
"How come?" Ash asks him.
"We need to figure this out, but this is hard." Mile said.
The foreman ran past the trainers with a wooden mallet. He tries to pound the Diglett, but the Diglett were pulling their heads away really fast.
"That won't work." Gary said. "Diglett can pull their heads fast at 186,282 miles per second."
"What we're lookin at is the speed of light." Mile said.
"Diglett aren't very strong, but they're fast." Gary said.
"Sounds like you've been studying." Ash said, looking up at Gary.
"Unlike you." Gary said. He turns around to look at Ash's friends. "We're done here. Since no one is calling out their Pokémon, there's no reason to stay here and watch the foreman play Whack-A-Diglett."
The other trainers looks at Gary and Mile.
"We, on the other hand, must continue our journey to become a Pokémon Master." Gary smiles as he and Mile walks to the car with Gary's fans.
"Ciao!" Mile called out as they drove past the damage bus.
Jovan and his friends watch the other trainers leave the site and it was just them and the foreman.
"Girls?!" Brock called. "Those numbers?!"
It has been a long day for everyone. Jovan, July and their friends found a nice hot spring. Jovan was wearing a white bathing suit as Seth and Slade was wearing a tropical bathing suit. Anna was wearing a blue flower bikini as July was wearing a white star bikini. The hot spring that they found was big, compared to the one that Ash, Brock and Misty was using.
"That's nice." Jovan sighed happily, enjoying the hot water. He was sitting between Seth and Slade as July and Anna was sitting across from the boys.
"Hm." Anna said.
"What's on your mind, Anna?" Seth asks her.
"How come the Pokémon didn't come out of their Poké Balls?" Anna wondered.
Jovan turns to Dragonair who was sitting on a rock. "Do you know why that happened, Dragonair?" Jovan asks her.
"Dragonair." Dragonair said, pointing her tail.
Popping their heads out from the side of the hot spring was Diglett.
"Diglett Dig." Diglett said.
The trainers quickly stands up in the water.
"Diglett." July gasps. "I think we should follow them."
"Let's put our clothes on." Slade suggested.
"Right." Jovan nodded his head. He walks up behind Anna and July and was about to step out of the water until a Diglett pop its head from underground. "AAH!" Jovan cried as he was startled. Jovan fell backwards on Anna as they fell in the water. He was on all fours above Anna.
"Wow." Slade teased.
"We'll leave you two lovebirds alone." Seth chuckled.
"So you two can feel the love tonight." July teased. She began to sing. "Can you feel the love tonight?"
"July!" Jovan yells at his sister as his and Anna's faces were blushing.
After getting their clothes on, everyone followed the Diglett and passes the foreman who was still trying whack the Mole Pokémon.
Team Rocket and Team Neo calls out their Pokémon and their Pokémon appears.
"What does the book say?" Justin asks Jessie.
Jessie was reading a light blue book. "It says right here." Jessie said as she began to read. ""Pokémon need to have a certain degree of experience points before they can successfully evolved"."
"But our Pokémon hasn't experience anything but losing." James moans.
"Here's something to think about." Jessie said, with a worried look on face after she read the book to look at James. "When they finally do evolve, Pokémon become entirely different Pokémon."
Team Neo looks at their Pokémon.
"I've known Weedle for a long time." Libby said, looking at Weedle.
"Same here for Spearow." Sam said.
"How can we evolve them?!" everyone cried except for Meowth.
Tears drops from their chins and landed on the Pokémon. Light began to engulf the Pokémon.
"Is this...?" Libby was saying.
"Evolution?" Sam gasps.
"Their time to evolve is now." Meowth said with a smile on his face.
Jovan, July and their friends were running on the path for fifteen minutes. Dragonair continued to fly above the trainers. Once they got to the top of the hill, everyone stops running. Ash, Brock, Misty and Pikachu caught up with them. At the bottom of the hill was a garden. There was a Pokémon that caught the trainer's eyes. It was a set of Diglett triplets.
"Trio, Trio, Trio." it said
The Pokémon Trainers pulls out their Poké Dex.
"Dugtrio, the evolved form of Diglett. No specific information available."
"Now that make sense." Seth said. "This must be the home of Diglett and Dugtrio."
"Oh." Jovan said.
"They work and live here together." Brock said as he began to explain. "Diglett plows the ground and Dugtrio plants the trees. But not just here. This whole mountain range is their backyard."
"All of these mountains?" Ash asked.
"Yeah, maybe." Brock answered. "Probably all the forest in the world are-"
"Beautiful gardens made by these little guys." Misty finished.
Jovan can hear someone panting and he turns his head to see the foreman standing behind, looking at the garden.
"And if we complete the dam, this whole mountain forest will be covered in water." the foreman said, realizing what he would do. The mountain forest will be covered in water. "Nothing could live here."
"All of our Pokémon realize that before we did." Brock said.
"That's why they didn't leave their Poké Balls." Misty added. "Even if their masters tell them."
"I guess we humans still have a lot to learn the way of the Pokémon, right Ash?" Brock asked him.
"I guess so." Ash said, looking down at Pikachu. "Right, Pikachu?"
"Pika." Pikachu nodded his head.
"This project is cancelled." the foreman said. "I won't build the dam."
"I guess we learned our lesson." Jovan smiled.
"I don't think so because your lesson isn't over yet!" a voice cried out.
Everyone turns around and looks up at a big tree. It was Team Rocket and Team Neo.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
"To denounce the evil of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
Team Rocket and Team Neo jumps off from the branch and landed several feet in front of the trainers as Jessie and James was striking their poses.
"Jessie!"
"James!"
Meowth and Justin landed in front of Jessie and James.
"They know the rest, you two." Meowth said.
"Team Rocket." Ash groans. "I forgot about them."
"I hate to break it to you guys but we're in the mood for you right now." Jovan said.
"Oh really?" Libby asks him sarcastically. "We're in a good enough mood for everyone."
"That's right." James said. "Even if we didn't have lunch, we have a special treat for all of you."
"We're proud to present our new Pokémon!" Jessie shouted with glee, takin out her Poké Ball. "Ekans has evolved into Arbok!" She throws the Poké Ball and a new Pokémon appeared. It was a serpentine Pokémon that resembles a cobra. It has narrow eyes and several sharp teeth. Just below its head is a large hood with a face-like pattern. This pattern has over 20 possible variations. The pattern typically has two red and yellow eyespots outlined in black, a wide black streak resembling an upturned mouth, and a black V-shaped stripe above the eyespots.
"Arbok!" it hissed.
"And Koffing is now Weezing!" James yelled, throwing his Poké Ball and a new Pokémon appeared. It was a purple Pokémon consisting of two spherical heads connected by a thin tube with another sphere in the center. The heads have differing sizes and features. The left head is larger, and has prominent eyebrows, pointed teeth protruding from its lower jaw, and two flat teeth in its upper jaw. The smaller, right head simply has two pointed teeth, one at each corner of its mouth. The larger head has a cream-colored skull-and-crossbones marking below its face, while the smaller head has a light yellow circle instead.
"Weezing Wee!" it shouted.
Libby, Sam and Justin throws their Poké Balls and their Pokémon appeared. There was a large, mostly brown avian Pokémon with a vulturine neck and broad, powerful wings. It has a long, pointed, pink beak and a decorative red coxcomb on top of its head. Its narrow eyes have very small pupils and do not appear to have colored irises. It has shaggy, feathers at the base of its neck and covering the upper portion of its wings. These feathers are cream-colored, as are the tips of its flight feathers. Its sharp-clawed talons are pink, with three toes pointing forward and one pointing backward.
"Fearow!" he cried.
"Maximum power, Arbok!" Jessie ordered.
"Arbok!" Arbok hissed, slithering towards them.
"Let's go, Dragonair!" Jovan yelled.
"Dragonair!" Dragonair shouted, flying her opponents.
"Come on out!" Jovan shouted, taking out three Poké Balls. He throws the Poké Balls and Bulb, Charmander and Aqua appeared.
"Bulba." Bulb said.
"Char!" Charmander yelled.
"Squirtle!" Aqua smiled.
"Attack, everyone!" Jovan ordered.
"Weezing, Smog attack!"
"Weezing!" Weezing shouted. A thick dark green fog pours out of the holes covering Weezing's body.
"Dragonair, Thunderbolt!" Jovan ordered.
"Nair!" Dragonair shouted, releasing a powerful bolt at Arbok.
Arbok dodges the two Thunderbolts.
"Dive underground, Arbok!" Jessie ordered.
The Corba Pokémon dives underground.
"Follow it, Weezing!" James commanded.
Weezing went after his alley as he was followed by Kakuna. Pigeotto and Fearow landed in front of their comrades. Then everyone heard a couple of voices.
"Diglett Dig, Diglett Dig."
"Trio, Trio, Trio."
"Diglett Dig, Diglett Dig."
"Trio, Trio, Trio."
"Diglett Dig, Diglett Dig."
"Trio, Trio, Trio." Jessie and James finished.
"Look." Libby pointed at the hole.
Everyone can hear some fighting underground. Arbok, Weezing and Kakuna was shot out of the hole and landed on top of Pidgeotto and Fearow.
"What happened?" Meowth asks them.
"I know what's coming." James said nervously.
"Me too." Jessie said nervously.
Three Diglett and Dugtrio pokes their head in front of Team Rocket and Team Neo.
"Oh no..." Justin smiles nervously.
Diglett and Dugtrio made a tall mud wave, catching Team Rocket and Team Neo. They were on top of the mud wave.
"We're surfing in style!" Libby cheered.
Libby, Sam and Justin stood behind Team Rocket with their Pokémon. Pidgetto and Fearow was caught in the mud wave and couldn't fly fast enough to avoid it.
"What's that up ahead?!" Meowth shouted.
Standing in front of them was the dam.
"The dam!" Jessie gasps.
"I hope it holds!" Sam pleaded.
The mud wall hits the dam and the dam is destroyed with Team Rocket and Team Neo screaming.
"Looks like Team Rocket is busted up again!"
Everyone can see the smoke from where they are right now.
"They never catch a break." Jovan said, shaking his head.
"Not to mention they never learn their lesson." Anna said.
"Not like me." the foreman said. "I definitely learned my lesson."
The Pokémon Trainers smiled.
"So our stay wasn't a waste after all." Ash smiled.
"That's right because we're in luck." Brock said, turning his head forward to the mountains. "Fuchsia Gym is right over those mountains."
"Alright!" Jovan cheered.
Back at the destroyed dam, Team Rocket and Team Neo crawls out of the mud. A sign fell on James head.
"Construction of Gaiva Dam is cancelled"?!" Jessie moans as she read the sign.
And so the Diglett and the Dugtrio were left in peace. Everybody learned when you do a little digging, you find something good everywhere you look. And now it's on to the next Pokémon adventure!

So Ash, Jovan, Gary and Mile meets again in this chapter. Mile does have a transformation like Jovan but no one knows what his transformation is or his starter Pokémon. I'll let you figure that out. Anna has now six Pokémon on her team with Jovan and July. Seth is the last one to have one more Pokémon on his team.
I'm trying to see who would be Seth's last Pokémon. There's a lot of Pokémon from Kanto and I'm choosing wisely. The next chapter is the gym battle with Koga. I have a good idea for the next chapter but I won't say anything about it. Now for my OC's transformations.
