The Ninja Poké-Showdown
Jovan slowly opens his eyes. He sits up to get a better look at his surrounding. He was sitting in some sort of shack. "How did I end up here?" Jovan asked himself.
"Nair." Dragonair yawned as she woke up. "Dragonair Nair?"
"I don't know how we ended up here." Jovan replied. "The last thing I remember was smelling a sweet aroma in the air." He puts his hands on hips and feels only one Poké Ball. "Where's the rest of my Pokémon?!" he gasps. Jovan only has two Poké Balls. "And where's July and the others?!" It was just him and Dragonair in the shack.
As our heroes travel on to their next Pokémon Gym, Jovan and Dragonair find themselves separated from the others.
"Is that a note?" Jovan wondered, noticing a note on the door. He walks up to the door.
If you wish to find your friends, you must complete three challenges.
"Let's get going, Dragonair." Jovan said.
"Nair." Dragonair nodded her head.
Jovan opens the door as went outside. Jovan and Dragonair find themselves in a ravine. To their left was a river. Several feet in front of them was a Zubat. There was a red ribbon tied to one of its long tails.
Jovan sees another note near his feet and picks it up. "Retrieve the ribbon from Zubat without transforming." Jovan read. "Alright then. Get that ribbon, Dragonair!"
Dragonair was about to fly over to it, but two Bug Pokémon landed in front of her. It was a instectoid Pokémon with a spherical body covered in purple fur. Poison oozes from all over its fuzzy body. A pink pincer-like mouth with two teeth, stubby forepaws, and a pair of two-toed feet are visible through its fur. Its limbs are light tan. There is also a pair of white antennae sprouting from the top of its head. However, the most prominent feature on its face are its large, red eyes.
"What is that?" Jovan wondered, taking out his Pokédex.
"Venonat, a Bug Pokémon. Its eyes function like a radar, seeing in the dark."
The two Venonat jumps into the air and spins around, releasing multiple white needles towards Dragonair.
"Dragonair, Bubble Beam!" Jovan ordered.
Dragonair fires her Bubble Beam towards the needles and destroying them before they can reach her.
"Now use Thunderbolt!" Jovan commanded.
"Nair!" Dragonair shouted, releasing a yellow lighting bolt at the two Venonat.
"Nat!" they both screamed before fainting.
Zubat flies down at Dragonair and hits her with one of its wings.
"Bubble Beam one more time!"
Dragonair lifts her head up and fires the beam of bubbles toward it. It was a direct hit as the ribbon fell off form Zubat's tail. Jovan caught the Zubat in his arms. Then a voice spoke.
"You have completed the first challenge." the voice spoke. "Proceed to the second challenge."
"Who are you?!" Jovan called.
The Zubat regains conscious and flies back into the air as the two Venonat woke up. The three Pokémon went on ahead in front of Jovan and Dragonair.
"Let's go Dragonair." Jovan said to the Dragon Pokémon.
"Dragonair." Dragonair nodded her head.
Jovan began to run down the path with Dragonair flying above his head. He could see the two Venonat and Zubat ahead of him. As he kept running, Jovan slams into something, sliding down.
"What the heck?" Jovan groans as he pushed himself away. He outstretch his hand and felt something pressed against his hand. It was hard and smooth.
"Nair." Dragonair said.
Jovan turns around and sees the two Venonat from before. "There you are!" Jovan shouted. He took a couple steps and slams something invisible again. "Really?!" Jovan growled. "Then we'll just go around it." Just like the last two times, he walks into something that was invisible. "Oh come on!" he complained.
Dragonair looks down at the ground and notices a note. "Dragonair." Dragonair said, getting Jovan's attention.
"What is it, Dragonair?" Jovan asked, looking down at the ground. "Another note." He picks up the note and read it. "Escape the barrier by finding its weak point." Jovan read. "How?" Jovan looks at the barrier in front of him and places his hand on the smooth glass. He felt that the glass in front of him was weak.
"Dragonair, use Ice Beam right on the barrier in front of us." Jovan ordered.
Dragonair forms a light blue ball of energy in front of her mouth and fires multiple blue beams at the barrier. The barrier turns into an ice wall.
"Let's back up and slam right into it so that will break." Jovan said. He backs up a couple steps and he and Dragonair slams their bodies against the ice wall. The ice wall shattered as they got out of the barrier.
"Another note." Jovan muttered.
Then the voice from before spoke. "You have completed the second challenge." the voice spoke. "Proceed to your final challenge. Zubat and Venonat will lead you to your final challenge."
Jovan and Dragonair looks at each other and walks up to the Zubat and Venonat. "Take us to the final challenge." Jovan said to the two Pokémon.
"Venonat." the first Venonat nodded.
The three Pokémon turns around and walks with Jovan and Dragonair. They have been walking for half an hour and Jovan can see a mansion at the top. The two Venonat stops walking, causing Jovan and Dragonair to stop.
Standing several feet in front of him was a ninja. The ninja was wearing black clothes with a black shoulder pad. Jovan can only see her beautiful blue eyes but doesn't see the other bottom half of her face.
"Good job for passing the two challenges." she said.
"Who are you?" Jovan question her.
Before she can answer, a voice cried out.
"Jovan!"
Jovan turns his head to the left to see his sister and his friends on the other side of the river.
"Are you guys alright?!" Jovan called out to them.
"Yeah!" Anna called back.
"The gang's all here." the ninja girl chuckled.
"Who are you?" Jovan asked her again.
The ninja girl takes out a Poké Ball. "Defeat me if you want to know who I am." the girl said. "I won't let you pass to reach the mansion where your other three friends are."
"Fine." Jovan said.
"We shall use only one Pokémon." the ninja girl said. "Choose."
Kanto Wild Pokémon Battle
Jovan takes out a Poké Ball and tosses it a couple times. "Go, Charmander!" He shouted, throwing the Poké Ball a couple feet in front of him. The sphere opens and Charmander appears.
"Charmander!" Charmander shouted.
"Go, Golbat!" the ninja girl said, throwing a Poké Ball in the air and a new Pokémon appeared. It was a large, blue bat-like Pokémon with purple wing membranes. It has small, slit-pupiled eyes, tiny triangular ears with purple insides, and a massive mouth with two fangs in each jaw.
Jovan takes out his Pokédex.
"Golbat. Attacking with its sharp fangs, this Pokémon can drain three hundred cubic centimeters of blood per bite."
"Golbat, use Confuse Ray!" she ordered.
Golbat's eyes glowed blue.
"Dodge it and attack back with Flamethrower!" Jovan ordered.
Charmander opens her mouth and fires a stream of fire at Golbat. It was a direct hit when the flames hit Golbat.
"Wing attack!" the ninja girl ordered.
Golbat begins to dive down repeatedly, trying to strike Charmander with one of its wings.
"Charmander, use Swift!" Jovan commanded.
Charmander spins around and releases multiple yellow stars from her body and fires them at Golbat. Golbat didn't have time to dodge the attack as it was hit again.
"Lower its defenses with Screech!"
"Golbat!" it nodded. Golbat opens its mouth and releases thin yellow circles from its mouth, causing a loud, piercing noise that made Charmander to hold her ears.
The others covered their ears as well. But it didn't effect the ninja girl. She was withstanding the noise.
"Charmander, use Flamethrower again to stop that noise!" Jovan commanded as he was covering his ears.
"Charmander!" Charmander nodded her head. She opens her mouth and releases a stream of fire at the Bat Pokémon.
"Golbat!" the Bat Pokémon Gasps. The fire hits Golbat and the Bat Pokémon fell to the ground. It has spiral in its eyes.
Music Stops
"Golbat!" the ninja girl gasps.
Charmander runs up to her trainer. Jovan kneels down and smiles at Charmander. "Good job, Charmander." Jovan said before standing up and look at the ninja girl. "Who are you?" he question the ninja girl.
"I have to say, you really do know how to fight, Jovan." the ninja girl said. She removes her hood and mask. Her long blonde hair fell, causing the others to gasp.
"Tamika Fuki." Jovan smiled.
Tamika Fuki is a friend of Jovan and Anna. Tamikia met Jovan and Anna in the summer during her ninja training in a forest. She mistook Jovan and Anna for moving targets. The three of them became friends.
"I didn't know you were going to be here." Tamika said.
"Same here." Jovan said as the two of them shake hands.
July and the others walks across a bridge and met up with the other two.
"Jovan, you're Poké Balls." Tamika said, handing over the four Poké Balls over to Jovan.
"Thanks." Jovan said, taking back the four Poké Balls.
"How long have you been here, Tamika?" Anna asks her.
"For several months." Tamika answered. "A portal dropped me off at the Fuchsia City Gym. What about you?"
"July and I ended up in a forest and met up with Anna and Seth at Pallet Town." Jovan said.
"Interesting." Tamika said. "What's interesting about that is that there are some Pokémon Trainers transforming into Pokémon with a different color. Especially you, Jovan."
"But why are they transforming into Pokémon?" Slade asked.
"I don't know." Tamika answered truthfully.
"I wonder if the mysterious hooded figure knows something about this." Seth wondered.
Tamika looks at him confused. "A hooded figure?" she asks them.
"That's right." Jovan said.
"When did you meet this mysterious hooded figure?"
"In Viridian Forest a few months ago." Jovan answered.
"Interesting." Tamika said.
"So Tamika, why did you make us go through these challenges?" Jovan asked her.
"To test your skills." Tamika said.
Everyone heard a small explosion as Tamika turns around and looks up at the sky.
"It looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again!" Team Rocket yelled as they and Team Neo disappeared.
"That was Team Rocket and Team Neo!" July gasps.
"We must head back to mansion." Tamika said.
Everyone follows her back to the mansion. They came just in time where a man was handing over Ash the Soul Badge. The man was wearing purple clothes and a long red scarf. He has spikey black hair and black eyes.
There was a woman standing next to Brock. The woman was wearing red ninja clothes. She has long green hair in a ponytail and have blue eyes.
"Yes, I got a Soul Badge!" Ash cheered. He stops cheering and turns around Jovan and the others. "You guys!"
"We were so worried about you." Misty said. "Where were you guys?"
"All of us got separated." Jovan answers her as he begins to explain. "Dragonair and I woke up in a shed and found ourselves in a ravine. We went through three challenges."
"What were the three challenges?" Misty asked.
"The first challenge was to retrieve a ribbon from a Zubat." Jovan continues to explain. "The second challenge was to escape the barrier and the final challenge was to battle Tamika."
"I'm just glad that you're all safe and sound." Brock smiled.
July looks at the man behind Ash. "This is a nice mansion you have here." July smiled.
"That is kind of you to say that about the Pokémon Gym." the man said.
"This is the Fuchsia City Gym?" July asked, raising her eyebrows in surprised.
"That is correct." the man said.
"Who are you?" Jovan asks him.
"I am Koga." Koga introduce himself. "The Pokémon Master of the Fuchsia Gym. I assume you are all here to challenge me for the Soul Badge."
"That's right." Jovan said.
"Very well." Koga said. "Who among you will go first?"
Jovan turns around to look at July, Seth and Anna.
"I'll go first." July said to Koga.
The Gym Leader nodded his head. Everyone stood at the sidelines as July stood several feet away in front of the Gym Leader. "We shall have a two on two Pokémon battle, young girl." Koga said.
Burning Battlefield (Kanto Trainer Battle)
"Fine by me." July said. "I'm starting this off with Seabiscuit!" She throws the Poké Ball onto the battlefield and the sphere open. A white light came out of the Poké Ball and Seabiscuit appeared.
"Then I will lead off with Venomoth!" Koga shouted, throwing a Poké Ball and a new Pokémon appeared.
It was a insectoid Pokémon whose body is varying shades of purple. Its head and thorax are light purple, and it has bulbous, round light blue eyes, a small mandible, and a three-point crest on its head. Tucked close to its thorax are three pairs of tiny, whitish legs. Its abdomen is paler with several black, zigzagging stripes encircling it. It has two pairs of pale purple moth-like wings with thin black venation.
"What is that?" July asked, taking out her Pokédex.
"Venomoth, an evolved form of Venonat. Tiny scales on its wings disperse various spores when they are flapped."
"Interesting." July said.
"Stun Spore!" Koga ordered.
Venomoth flaps its wings and an orange powder comes out of them.
"Quick Seabiscuit! Use Agility to dodge it!" July ordered.
Seabiscuit swerves around the orange dust and fires a beam of bubbles from his tubular mouth.
"Moth!" it cried.
"Now use Skull Bash!" July ordered.
Seabiscuit jumps into the air and slam his skull into Venomoth. Venomoth couldn't dodge the attack as it was hit and fell onto the ground, unable to move.
"Return, Venomoth." Koga said, taking out its Poké Ball. Venomoth transforms into red energy and went back inside the sphere as Koga takes out a second Poké Ball. "Go, Golbat!" he shouted, throwing the second Poké Ball in the air and Golbat appears in the air.
"Seabiscuit, return!" July shouted, taking out a Poké Ball. Seabiscuit transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. "Show them what you got, Slyther!" she shouted. July throws the second Poké Ball and the Mantis Pokémon appeared.
"Scy." Slyther growls at the Bat Pokémon.
"Golbat, Wing Attack!" Koga ordered.
The Bat Pokémon dives down towards the Mantis Pokémon.
"Use Quick Attack!" July ordered.
Slyther disappears and reappeared in front of Golbat before tackling into it.
"Good job, Slyther!" July cheered. "Now use Cut!"
"I don't think so." Koga smirks. "Screech!"
Golbat opens its mouth and releases thin purple circles from its mouth, causing a loud piercing noise.
"Scyther!" Slyther cried out in pain.
"Slyther, use Slash,!" July ordered.
Slyther repeatedly slashes Golbat two times with her scythes. Golbat couldn't survive the second hit as the Bat Pokémon lands on the ground out cold.
Music Stops
"We did it!" July cheered.
"That was a good battle." Koga said. He looks over at the other trainers. "Who is up next?"
"I'll be your opponent next." Anna spoke.
"Very well." Koga said. "My Pokémon must rest first for a few minutes."
A few minutes has passed as Anna stood several feet away from Koga.
"Let's go, Rose!" Anna shouted, throwing a Poké Ball into the air and Rose appeared.
"Ponyta!" Rose shouted.
"I shall lead this off with Venomoth!" Koga yelled, throwing a Poké Ball in the air and his Venomoth appeared.
Burning Battlefield (Kanto Trainer Battle)
"Stun Spore!" Koga ordered.
Venomoth flaps its wings and an orange powder comes out of them.
"Use Fire Spin to surround yourself, quick!" Anna ordered.
Rose opens her mouth and fires a spiral of red-orange flames to the ground to surround herself. The flame tornado destroyed the orange powder.
"Sleep Powder, now!" Koga ordered.
Venomoth flaps it wings again and a light-tan powder comes out.
"Dodge it then use Body Slam!" Anna ordered.
Rose jumps high to dodge the light-tan powder and slams her body into Venomoth.
"Veno!" it cried out before falling down to the ground.
"Venomoth, return!" Koga shouted. Venomoth transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball.
"Return Rose!" July shouted. Rose transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. "Go!" Vul runs out onto the field. "I'm choosing Vul for this next battle."
"Very well." Koga said. "I shall go with Golbat." Koga threw the Poké Ball and Golbat appeared.
"Vul, use Body Slam!" Anna ordered.
"Vulpix!" Vul nodded as she jumps high into the air and slams her body into Golbat.
"Use Screeh!" Koga commanded.
Golbat opens its mouth and releases thin purple circles from its mouth, causing a loud piercing noise. Vul couldn't dodge it in time as the noise was hurting her ears.
"Now use Wing Attack!" Koga ordered.
"Golbat!" Golbat shouted, diving towards Vul and hitting her with one of its wings.
"Vul!" Vul cried out in pain.
"Vul, use Double Edge!" Anna ordered.
"Vul!" Vul yelled, slamming her body into Golbat with great force.
"Now use Swift!"
"Vulpix!" Vul shouted as she jumps into the air and swishes her tail, releasing multiple yellow stars towards Golbat.
Golbat couldn't dodge the attack as it was hit. The Bat Pokémon lands on the ground, unable to move.
Music Stops
"Vulpix!" Vul cheered.
"Congratulations, Anna." Jovan smiled as Anna and Vul walks up to him.
"Thanks." Anna said.
Koga walks up to him. "So which two of you young men will challenge me?" the Gym Leader asked.
"I'll go next." Seth said.
"Very well." Koga nodded. "My Pokémon will rest first for a few minutes before we can begin the next match."
Several minutes has passed as Seth and Koga stood several feet from each other.
"Let's go, Sandslew!" Seth shouted as he throws the Poké Ball in the air and Sandslew appeared.
"Go, Venomoth!" Koga shouted, throwing the first Poké Ball in the air and Venomoth appeared.
Burning Battlefield (Kanto Trainer Battle)
"Sandslew, use Swords Dance!" Seth commanded.
Sandslew spins his body around rapidly.
"Use Sleep Powder!" Koga ordered.
Venomoth began to flap its wings and the light tan powder heads over to Sandslew.
"Use Rock Slide!" Seth commanded.
"Sandshrew!" Sandslew shouted. Sandslew started digging into the sand with his claws and threw several boulders into the air.
"Moth!" Venomoth shouted as it was hit by one of the boulders. Venomoth lands on the ground, unable to move.
"Venomoth!" Koga gasps.
"That was a good strategy he came up with." July said. "He used Swords Dance to power Sandslew's attack and use Rock Slide to knock out Venomoth."
"Return." Koga said. Venomoth transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball.
"Good job, Sandslew." Seth smiled.
"Sandshrew." Sandslew nodded his head.
"Return." Seth said. Sandslew transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball and Seth took out another Poké Ball. "Go, Raticate!" He threw the Poké Ball and Raticate appeared.
"Go, Golbat!" Koga shouted as he threw the Poké Ball and Golbat appeared.
"Golbat!" it shouted.
"Raticate, use Focus Energy!" Seth ordered.
"Cate!" Raticate nodded his head. Raticate's body became outlined in a light blue aura.
"Use Wing Attack!" Koga ordered.
"Golbat Gol!" Golbat shouted, diving towards Raticate. But Raticate jumps in the air and lands on Golbat.
"Bat!" it cried.
"Heh." Koga chuckled. "Golbat, use Screech!"
"Bat!" The Bat Pokémon screech as it releases thin purple circles from its mouth, causing a loud piercing noise.
"Raticate!" Raticate cried in pain.
"Raticate, use Quick Attack to end this!" Seth ordered.
Raticate charges at Golbat at a fast speed and tackles the Bat Pokémon. The Bat Pokémon couldn't survive the attack and fell down to the ground, knock out.
Music Stops
"Good job, Raticate!" Seth cheered as Raticate ran up to him.
"You did it, Seth." Slade smiled.
Seth and Raticate walks over to the friends. "That means you're up next, Jovan." Seth said, looking at his friend.
"My Pokémon will rest for a few minutes before we battle." Koga said.
"Fine by me." Jovan said.
A few minutes has passed and Jovan and Dragonair stood several feet away from Koga.
Burning Battlefield (Kanto Trainer Battle)
"Go, Arcanine!" Jovan shouted, throwing a Poké Ball onto the battlefield and Arcanine appeared.
"Arc!" he barked.
"I shall lead off with Venomoth!" Koga yelled, throwing the Poké Ball and Venomoth appeared.
"Venomoth!" it shouted.
"Venomoth, use Stun Spore!" Koga ordered.
"Moth!" Venomoth shouted, flapping its wings and an orange powder comes out of them.
"Dodge it and use Bite!"
Arcanine jumps sideways and lunges at Venomoth bites it with his mouth.
"Venomoth!" it cried out in pain. Before Venomoth can counterattack, Arcanine threw in the air and fired a FlameThrower at it. Venomoth couldn't dodge the attack as it took the full attack and landed on the ground unconscious.
"Venomoth!" Koga shouted.
"Good job, Arcanine." Jovan smiled.
"Return, Venomoth!" Koga yelled. Venomoth transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. "Go, Golbat!" Koga threw a second Poké Ball and Golbat appeared.
"Return, Arcanine!" Jovan shouted. "You're up Dragonair!"
Dragonair nodded her head and slithers up to the battlefield.
"Dragonair, use Dragon Rage!" Jovan ordered.
The orb on Dragonair's neck glows and she sends a swirling cyclone towards the Bat Pokémon.
"Golbat!" it shouted.
"Golbat, Wing Attack!" Koga commanded.
"Gol!" Golbat shouted as it dives towards Dragonair and attacks with one of its wings.
"Dodge it!" Jovan ordered.
Dragonair flew upwards to the dodge the attack.
"Golbat, use Screech!" Koga ordered.
The Bat Pokémon screech as it releases thin yellow circles from its mouth, causing a loud piercing noise. Dragonair landed on the ground as she was hit by the loud piercing noise.
"Counter back with Thunderbolt!" Jovan ordered.
"Nair!" Dragonair shouted. She releases a powerful yellow bolt of electricity towards the Bat Pokémon.
Golbat did its best to dodge the bolt, but it was hit in the right wing.
"Finish this off with Ice Beam!" Jovan shouted.
Dragonair forms a light blue ball of energy in front of her mouth and fires multiple light blue beams from the ball at Golbat. Golbat couldn't dodge the attack in time and it was hit, frozen in a block of ice. The block of ice shattered when it hit the ground and Golbat was unconscious.
Music Stops
"That was great, Dragonair!" Jovan smiled as he ran up to her.
Koga walks up to him. "All of you have defeated me." Koga said. "Your friend's Psyduck help saved my Voltorb from being stolen from those thieves." He pulls out four scrolls and opens them. "This Soul Badge belongs to you." On the scroll was a heart-shaped badge.
Jovan, Anna, July and Seth each took the badge.
"Awsome!" Jovan cheered.
Slade looks down sees a bunch a spherical Pokémon that resembles a Poké Ball with eyes without the button. The top half is red, while the bottom half is white.
Koga looks at his sister. "We both have a lot to learn about battles." he said. "All three of us must train even harder."
"Sounds good." Tamika smiled.
Everyone said goodbye to Koga, Aya and Tamika and was walking on a dirt path.
So after earning a Soul Badge, our heroes continued along on their Pokémon journey.
"You know, you really did a good job back there, Psyduck." Misty said to Psyduck as she walking besides it. "I hope success doesn't go to your head."
"Psyduck." it said, turning its head to look up at Misty.
Several feet behind them was the mysterious hooded figure and Vaporeon.
"So, Jovan, Anna, July and Seth all have six Badges now." the hooded figure said. "They need two more Badges to enter the League."
Vaporeon looks up at the hooded figure.
"I know, Vaporeon." the hooded figure said. "They need a few more transformations before they head to Pokémon League."

This chapter turned out great. I took another opportunity to have my OC's separated and meet a new person, Tamika. I've been looking over the last couple chapters that it was time for some other Pokémon to gain some battle experience to show their moves and levels. The hooded figure's identity is still unknown until I decided to reveal the identity. But don't worry, my OC's transformations are still going to appear. The reason why I decided to have my OCs separated from Ash, Brock, Misty and Pikachu has something to do with what the hooded figure said at the end of this chapter.
