The Flame Pokémon-athon!
Everyone was walking on hill in the forest. They continued walking until they were at the exit of the forest. In front of them a calm, clear field.
"We made it out of the forest." Jovan smiled.
After earning a Soul Badge at the Fuchsia Gym, our friends has arrived at the Safari Zone, where they are sure to discover new and unusual Pokémon.
The earth began to shake.
"What's causing the ground to shake?!" Anna wondered.
"Look!" Slade shouted, pointing to the right.
Several feet away from them was a huge dust cloud. Inside the dust cloud was a Pokémon. It was a quadruped, bovine Pokémon. It is covered in light brown fur with a thick, darker brown mane around the neck. It has a rounded muzzle with a dark brown nose, small, triangular eyes, three gray bumps running vertically down its forehead, and a pair of curved, gray horns grows from atop its head. Each of its three black tails has a tuft of fur on the end, and there is a single gray hoof on each foot.
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu cried in fear.
"Oh man." Ash said, nervously.
"Let's check out the Poké Dex." Jovan said as he took out his Poké Dex.
"Tauros, a wild Bull Pokémon. When whipping itself with its three tails, its tackle is a very destructive force."
Jovan puts his Poké Dex away and notices Pikachu is sleeping in a sleeping bag.
"Don't you think Pikachu is a little outnumbered here?" Misty asks Ash.
"I know that." Ash said, taking out a Poké Ball. "Charmander, I choose you!" He threw the Poké Ball and Charmander appeared.
"Char!" Charmander shouted.
"Ember attack, now!" Ash ordered.
"Char!" Charmander shouted, opening his mouth. Before Charmander can attack, a Growlithe lands on top of Charmander, sitting on him.
"Growlithe!" it barked.
Ash took out his Poké Dex.
"Growlithe, a Puppy Pokémon of pleasant demeanor and great diligence. It drives enemies away with barks and bites."
"Alright then, Charmander, Flamethrower attack!" Ash ordered.
Charmander shook Growlithe off his back as the Puppy Pokémon landed several feet away.
"Char!" Charmander shouted, firing his Flamethrower at Growlithe.
"Growl!" it barked, firing its Flamethrower at Charmander.
The two Flamethrowers collided with one another.
"So its a Fire Type too." Ash said. "Charmander, Return!" Charmander transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. "Maybe Squirtle-" Ash was saying but he was interrupted.
"Hold it!" a new voice said.
Ash turns to the right to see a Ponyta, startling him with its two legs. "Ah!" Ash yelled as he fell backward.
Ponyta stops startling Ash.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Ash asks angrily.
There was a girl riding the Ponyta. The girl has long blue hair that was tied in a ponytail and has blue eyes. She was wearing a green t-shirt, purple shorts, red shoes, a orange headband and a brown-orange belt.
The girl looks at Ash. "You little side wonderer." the girl said. "Don't tell me you don't know this whole area is a Pokémon reserve."
"A Pokémon Reserve?" Ash asked confused.
"Yes." the girl answered.
"What's that?"
"It's a place where it's against the law to capture Pokémon so they can grow up here naturally." the girl answered him.
Ash stands up. "That's amazing." Ash said.
"So what's the name of this place?" Jovan asked.
"Have you heard about the Big P Pokémon Ranch owned by the Laramie family?" the girl asks them.
"Isn't that the place where they raise Pokémon in the wild?" Brock asked and then he realizes. "This must be that place."
"This is the Laramie Big P Ranch and I'm Lara Laramie." Lara introduce herself.
"Growlithe." Growlithe said, landing next to Ponyta.
"And this Grolwithe make sure no one capture our Pokémon." Lara said.
"Pikachu." Pikachu said.
Lara led them all to a fence. There was some Tauros in front of them and behind them were different Pokémon. Ash takes out the Poké Dex.
"Ponyta, a Fire Type Pokémon. Its mane is made of intense flames."
"Wow." Jovan said, looking at Ponyta.
"Isn't it hot?" Misty asked.
Lara looks at her. "I don't need to worry because Ponyta won't ever burn anybody that it will trust." she answered.
Ash hops down from the fence and walks over to Ponyta. "Nice Ponyta." he said. As soon as his hand touches the mane, his hand caught on fire. "AAHHH!" Ash screams in pain. He throws a Poké Ball and Squirtle appears. Squirtle used Water Gun to put out the fire on Ash's hand.
"Hm." Lara chuckled as she got off of Ponyta. "It took awhile for Ponyta to trust me too."
"Rose trusts me after my friends and I saved it." Anna smiled.
"Who's Rose?" Lara asked curiously.
Anna took out a Poké Ball. "Go, Rose!" Anna shouted, tossing the Poké Ball and Rose appeared.
"Ta." Rose said.
"Amazing." Lara said.
Misty got off the fence. "Just training one Pokémon is a big job." Misty said, looking over at the field. "A whole heard must be tough."
"Breeders loves Pokémon from the Laramie Ranch because they're raised in the wild and little a stronger than other Pokémon." Brock explains. "You're lucky if you get a Big P Pokémon."
Jovan takes a look at the field, seeing breeders looking at other Pokémon.
"I'm real glad that some folks know about all the hard work we do." Lara said, getting their attention. "We're real proud of the way we raise the Pokémon here."
"We should see more of this place." Anna smiled.
"Well, we're having a party here tonight." Lara said. "Why don't you all be my guests?"
"That sounds great!" Ash smiled.
"If you stay here at the ranch tonight, you'll be able to see the Big Pokémon Race tomorrow." Lara said.
"A Big Pokémon Race?" Ash repeated.
"We race one another to find out who has the best Pokémon." Lara said. "Anybody who wins the Big P Pokémon Race becomes an honoree member of the Laramie Clan."
All of a sudden the earth begin to shake. Everyone turns to the left to see a huge dust cloud over the field.
"The Tauros again?" Misty wondered.
"No." Lara said. "That sound could only be..."
The Pokémon in the dust cloud were going to past them. Ash pulls his Poké Dex to get the data but the Pokémon were too fast for him. "Man, they're fast." Ash said.
"Howdy, Lara." a new voice spoke. A boy was riding on the same Pokémon that past them. The Pokémon that the boy is riding is a large, wingless, three-headed avian Pokémon. Each head has a long, sharp beak and a black V-shaped, feather crest. It has bristly brown feathers covering its heads and upper body, while its lower half has a smooth layer of black feathers. Its tail consists of three pale red feathers with lighter tips. Its wingless body rests on two long and slender, but powerful legs with feet that have three clawed toes in front and one in back.
The boy has long purple hair that was in a ponytail and has black eyes. He was wearing a long sleeve green shirt, khaki pants and yellow boots.
Jovan takes out his Poké Dex for the Pokémon's data.
"Dodrio, a three-headed Bird Pokémon that can run faster than it can fly. Its three heads represent joy, sorrow, and anger."
"We're going to win the Big Pokémon Race tomorrow." the boy snickered.
"Don't be too sure, partner." Lara said angrily to the boy. "It takes more than just speed."
"Just get ready to lose, Lara." the boy said. "Yee-hee!"
The boy and Dodrio ran off to catch up with the others.
"What a jerk!" Misty growled. "Who is that guy?"
"That's Dario." Lara answers her. "He's a Dodrio Trainer and we'll see what kind of guy he is."
Nighttime came as everyone was walking through the town, enjoying the party. There were many stands offering food, drink and party games. People were wishing Lara good luck for the race.
"She must be a real contender in that race." Brock said.
"Well she did do great job of training that Ponyta of hers." Misty said.
Ash was eating a big Magikarp bread and swallowed before he spoke. "We're really luck to have run in with a incredible Pokémon Breeder, aren't we?" Ash asked.
"Hey, Lara!" Dario shouted, running up behind them.
Everyone stops and turns around to look at Dario.
"All your Tauros are going crazy at the ranch." Dario said.
"Let's head back to the ranch." Jovan said.
Everyone ran past Dario and Lara whistles Ponyta. Ponyta heard the whistle and ran to her. Lara jumps onto Ponyta's back and went on ahead of everyone else.
"Rose, let's go!" Anna shouted, jumping onto Rose's back.
Rose gallop fast to catch up with Ponyta and Lara. Lara, Anna, Rose and Ponyta made it to the ranch.
"What's going on?" Anna wondered.
All of the Tauros was upset in a big dust cloud. Anna got off Rose as Lara tells Growlithe to go in there and calm them down.
"Growl!" Growlithe barks at them as it runs around the heard.
The two girls watches it runs around the heard for a few seconds and the heard calm down.
"Hm." Lara wondered. Then she felt Ponyta turns its head to the left. "What is it, Ponyta?"
Something came out of the bushes right in front of Ponyta and disappeared.
"Ta!" Ponyta neighs in fright, standing on its back hooves.
Lara lost her grip and hits her elbow on the ground hard. Their friends caught up to them.
"Calm down, Ponyta!" Ash shouted, running to front of Ponyta and grabbing the reins.
Brock help Lara to sit up. "Lara." Brock said worried.
"I'm fine." Lara said, but she felt some pain from her elbow. "Ahh!"
"Don't move that arm." Misty said to her.
Lara looks past her and sees Ash trying to calm Ponyta down.
"Come on, Ponyta!" Ash yelled, trying to calm it down. "Calm down!" Several seconds passed and Ponyta calmed down.
"I'm glad that you're calm now, Ponyta." Jovan said before he looks over to the Tauros. "Why were the Pokémon spooked like that?"
"He's good." Lara muttered.
Several feet away from them, Team Rocket was peeking from behind the building.
"Pretty nice work." Meowth smiled.
"I have a pretty good feeling about this." James said.
"Ain't that the truth." Libby said.
"Nice work." Dario said, getting their attention. "I wouldn't expected anything less from Team Rocket and Team Neo."
Team Rocket and Team Neo walks up to him.
"We're here to do the best job possible." Jessie smiles at him. "Just to get what we want."
"Once we're in the Lamarie Clan, we'll make big bucks." James smiled evilly.
"The world will be ours and we'll be rich." Sam added.
"Make sure you win that race tomorrow, Dario." Libby smiles sweetly.
"Sure thing." Dario nodded.
"Right, partner." Meowth said.
"Ha ha ha!" Team Rocket and Team Neo laughs.
Everyone heads back to Lara's house. Lara's arm is all bandage up as she was looking outside of the window, worried. "Ah." Lara sighed. "With my arm like this, I won't be able to grip Ponyta's reigns tomorrow."
Ash, Brock and Misty was sitting at the table behind Lara. Jovan got up from the table and walks outside to see his sister and his friends. Seth and Slade were leaning on the fence, watching Anna and Rose. July was playing with Dragonair until she see her brother walking up to them.
"I feel bad for Lara that she can't compete in the race tomorrow." Jovan said.
"Same here." July replied. "But if she did race tomorrow, Lara will seriously get into an accident."
"I know." Jovan said. He walks past his sister and hops over the fence. "How are you and Rose doing, Anna?"
Anna turns around. "We're doing fine." Anna said. "Rose is fired up to win."
"Ta!" Rose neighs.
"I can see that." Jovan chuckled.
"Thanks." Anna smiled. "Rose wanted to have a little practice before the race tomorrow."
Seth, Slade and July hops over the fence and walks up to them. "You know, this night reminds me of how Amy's horse, Beauty, was startled when Jovan walks up to her." July said.
"I remember that." Anna said. "Beauty is Amy's new horse that was brought in a couple months ago. When Jovan walked up to her, Beauty was startled and almost crushed him."
"I was just going to feed it a apple and some sugar cubes." Jovan defended himself. He hears the door opening from the house and Ash, Brock, Misty, Pikachu, Lara, Growlithe and Ponyta joins them in the ranch.
"What's up, Lara?" Anna asks her.
"Ash is riding Ponyta tomorrow." Lara answers her. "I've seen how Ash was trying to calm Ponyta."
"Misty, Brock and Pikachu are going to help too." Ash explains.
"Then count us in too." Anna said. "We'll do whatever we can to help, Lara."
"And what about you two?" Brock asks July and Slade.
"Slade and I will be cheering on from the sidelines with Lara." July answered.
"I understand." Lara nodded. "Come on, Ash. Let's go over here." Lara led Ash and Ponyta a couple feet away from the others. She began to make sure that the reigns were tight for Ponyta. "Now remember, Ponyta." Lara said to it. "Trust Ash." She took a couple steps back, turns head and nodded to Ash.
The raven haired trainer walks up to Ponyta and hops on its back. Ash thought he was going to get burned, but he doesn't feel the fire burning him. "Hey, it's not hot." Ash said, looking down at his hands. "I did it. Yeah!" He cheered until he was beginning to lose his balance. His foot taps Ponyta's side, causing it to rise its hooves.
"Ash!" Lara gasps.
Ash grabs onto Ponyta's tail so he wouldn't fall and Ponyta ran with Ash hanging on.
"AHH!" Ash yelled.
"Ah." Brock sighs.
"At least he's hanging in there." Misty said.
"Pika." Pikachu agreed.
"Come on, Rose." Anna said to Rose. "Let's try to slow those down." Rose nodded and Anna hops onto her back.
"I'll help too!" Jovan called after her as Rose gallops to Ponyta. He chases after them. The trainer notices that they went around a couple of huge piles of hay. As soon as Jovan ran around the corner, Ponyta and Rose appears and Ponyta jumps over him while Rose runs into him. The crash sent Anna flying into Jovan.
Jovan and Anna fell down on the ground. "Ow." he groans. Jovan tried to sit up, but he felt something that was sitting on his chest. Anna sits up as she rubs her head. She felt both of her arms touching something. Then Anna notices Jovan looking up at her.
"At least no one saw this." Anna said. She hear some footsteps and looks up. Brock and Misty smiles at them while Ash, Lara, Pikachu, Growlithe and Dragonair were trying not to laughed. July smiles slyly as Seth and Slade chuckled while Rose walks up besides her rider.
"I didn't know you two would be dating now." July teases them.
"Would you say that they're boyfriend and girlfriend now?" Slade asks her.
"Oh yes." July answered.
"Looks like they had the feeling that they're drawn to each other." Slade said.
"But I never imagine their relationship would start like this." Seth replied.
"Let's leave these two lovebirds so they can get back to their moment." July suggested. Everyone nodded their heads except for Jovan and Anna. "We'll leave you two alone so you can feel the love tonight."
Everyone turns arounds and walks away from Jovan and Anna.
"It's not what it looks like!" Jovan and Anna shouted, their faces blushing.
Morning came as fireworks were being exploded in the sky. Everyone were in their seats, excited for the race to begin.
"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen to this year's Pokémon challenge, sponsored by the Laramie Clan! Our course takes our challengers over the rocky terrains to test their speed and ability. Whoever clears the obstacle and crosses the finish line will be the winner for this year. Will our Pokémon and Trainers come up to the Starting Line now?"
Ash is riding Ponyta, Misty is riding Starmie and Brock is riding Onix while Pikachu was riding Squirtle. Jovan is riding Arcanine as Anna is riding Rose while Seth is riding Raticate and Aqua was riding on Dragonair. The contestants lines up at the starting line.
Lara, July, Slade and Growlithe were sitting in the front seats. "Good luck you guys!" Lara waves at them.
"Have fun out there!" July cheered.
Ash turns his head and smiles at them before looking back at Ponyta. "Ready to race Ponyta?" Ash asks Ponyta?
Ponyta responded by blazing its fire.
"Hey!" Brock shouted, trying not to get burned.
"Try not burn up the track!" Seth yelled behind Onix.
"Ready?!"
The racers waited. As the light turns green, the announcer shouted, "Go!"
The racers quickly ran.
"And they're off on this exciting Pokémon challenge race! When the dust settles, we'll see be able to see who is in the early lead!"
The contestants left the stadium as they enters the first course.
"Yee haw!" Dario cheered as his Dodrio ran a lot faster and enters first place.
"And Dario riding Dodrio has pulled away from the pack! If he keeps up this pace, Dario will be unstoppable!"
"You can beat him, Ash!" Lara cheered.
On the race track, Anna was riding right besides Seth and Raticate. Arcanine and Jovan was racing behind a boy and his Tauros. Something small and fast hits Tauros in the face, going crazy.
"Arcanine, bank right behind Ash and Anna!" Jovan ordered. "Let's get out of this dust cloud!"
"Canine!" Arcanine barks, going to the right to get out of the dust cloud.
The Tauros slams into Nidorina and Nidorina attacks. The two Pokémon were fighting in a dust cloud as their trainers were trying to stop the fight. James and Jessie came out of the bushes. "I've a got a bullseye." James cheered.
"Let's get moving." Jessie told him.
"The next obstacle is a forty five degree up hill climb! A test of durance for the Pokémon and their trainer." The contestants made their way to the mountains, climbing the hill. Dario was still in the lead. "And Dario is still in the lead!"
Ash and Ponyta was racing besides a boy and a Raticate. "Come on, Ponyta!" Ash shouted.
All the way behind them was Squitle and Pikachu who was coming up the hill.
"Brining up the rear is Squitle and Pikachu, but slow and steady may not be enough to win this race!"
Jovan and Anna passes Brock and Misty and the two trainers were neck-in-neck for second place. Dragonair was flying right behind them at fourth place. All the contestants begun to run down the hill.
"Whoa, who's that rolling down the steep slope?!"
There was trainer and a Pokémon pasting everyone. It was a round Pokémon resembling a reverse-colored Poké Ball with a mouth and eyes. Its top half is white, while its lower half is red. The Pokémon rolls pasts Jovan.
"Impossible!" Jovan gasps.
"He's fast!" Dario shouted, looking over his shoulder.
"That's Electrode, using its round body to gain speed and take the lead with a downhill!"
The Electrode passes Dario and Dodrio to take the lead. But all of a sudden, Electrode and its Trainer fell into a hole.
"And it's another accident! Electrode has fallen into the hole and Dario takes the lead!"
Jovan, Anna and Seth passes the Electrode, followed by Dragonair, Brock and Misty. The announcer notices the Electrode was changing color.
"Oh no, Electrode's power voltage is too high!"
Ash, Ponyta and the other two racers tries to jump over, but Electrode exploded.
"Aahh!" Ash screams.
"Ash!" Lara yelled, worried.
"Oh no!" July gasps.
The screen shows the three racers on the ground.
"What a shock! Electrode's most powerful attack, Explosion, has destroyed everything around! That Electrode is living up to its "Bomb Ball" nickname!"
Pikachu and Squirtle caught up to Ash and Ponyta. "Pika!" Pikachu yelled. Squitle stops and Pikachu got off of his friend's shell and walks up to Ash and Ponyta. The two of them were knocked out. Pikachu places his paw onto Ash's knee. "Pika…" Pikachu said, "Chuuu!" He releases a Thunderbolt, waking Ash and Ponyta up.
"AAHH!" Ash yelled.
Pikachu stops as Ash and Ponyta got back on their feet and hooves.
"They're back up! Ponyta and Lara's replacement, Ash, are showing that they really got guts!"
"Ahh." Laura sighs relief. "All right."
"One of the most difficult sections of the course. The Pokémon will have to jump on one stone to the next to pass the river!"
"Go, Dodrio!" Dario commanded.
Dodrio jumps from one stone to the other. Brock and another racer approaches the river. Brock and Oni watches the race jumps onto the first stone and the race and Pokémon sank.
"That's okay." Brock said to Onix, patting his head. "We tried." His other friends past him.
"Ah, too bad, folks. Rock Pokémon can't deal with water, so Onix is out of here!"
Squirtle was swimming besides Starmie as Pikachu and Misty were surfing, side by side.
"And it looks like surfs up for Pikachu! Squirtle and Starmie are performing like true blue Water Pokémon!"
"Pika!" Pikachu cheered.
Misty turns her head around. "I'll keep going on, Brock!" Misty calls him.
"Ponyta and Rose are both great jumpers, showing no fear of the water! They can make a comeback!"
"Let's move!" Jovan shouted at Arcanine.
"Nine!" he shouted. Arcanine rushes pass Ponyta and Rose as he shows no sign of fear from the water.
"Just look at Arcanine passing Ash and Anna as it shows no sign of fear from the water!"
"You can do it, Ash!" Lara cheered.
"Now to boost their energy, each Pokémon can resume right only after eating a entire bowl of food. The Pokémon will decide which bowl to eat."
Dario was still in the lead as his Dodrio lands in front of the bowl. The middle head was about to eat, but the right head and left head was trying to reach the other bowls. "Quit fighting!" Dario shouts at them. "Y'all get your fair shair!"
"Looks like one of Dodrio heads wants to eat first and a fight's been broken out! The fastest runner is losing valuable time here as Starmie, Squirtle, Ponyta, Arcanine, Rose, Raticate and Dragonair appear on the scene!"
Ponyta stops in front of a bowl water as everyone stops to get some food and water.
"Okay, Ponyta, time for some fast food." Ash smiles.
"Gr!" Dario growls in frustration and looks up. "Team Rocket and Team Neo, get to work!"
Black smoke appears on the track as the black smoke covers the racers.
"We've got a major problem here, folks! Black smoke has been blowing over the course! I hope our camera crew can get our picture back soon and show us there has been another accident out there!"
"Ponyta…" Lara muttered.
July looks at Slade. "Isn't there anything we do?" July asks him.
"I'm afraid not." Slade answered.
"Prepare for trouble!"
"And make it double!"
"It's Team Rocket!" Ash shouted, turning his head to the right and looking up to see Team Rocket and Team Neo standing on the cliff above them.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth!"
"That's right!"
Misty looks up at them. "We don't have time to play around with you three stooges and wanna bes!" MIsty shouted.
"How about you come up here with that Ponyta?" Libby smirks.
"That way Meowth can mess it up again." Justin chuckled.
"Mess it up again?" Ash repeated. He realize it was Team Rocket and Team Neo. "So it was Team Rocket and Team Neo!"
"It was them who messed up Lara's arm!" Anna growls at them.
Jessie took out a tissue. "It was such a sad accident." Jessie weeps.
"We couldn't get any sleep last night." Sam said.
"Good!" Jovan snapped at him "You can cry in your sleep again tonight! Dragonair, Aqua, get ready to fight!"
Dragonair and Aqua looks at Team Rocket and Team Neo, ready to fight with Pikachu and Squirtle.
"Get ready to lose this race!" Libby shouted as both teams called out their Pokémon.
"Abork, Glare attack!" Jessie ordered.
Arbok glares at the opponent and its eyes flash different colors.
"Raticate, use Quick Attack!" Seth ordered.
"Cate!" Raticate shouted, charging at Weedle at a fast speed and tackles into Weedle.
"Weedle!" Weedle shouted in pain.
Anna wanted to attack, but Rose was mad. "Rose what's wrong?!" Anna shouted
"Go, Dario!" Libby calls out to Dario.
"Thanks!" Dario nodded his head. "Go, Dodrio."
Dodrio runs past Ash and Anna.
"Team Rocket and Team Neo is working for Dario." Anna said.
"Ta." Rose nodded her head.
"Ash, forget about them!" Misty shouted, causing Ash to turn around and looks at her. "You have to win this race for Lara Laramie!"
"She's right, you two!" Jovan yelled. "Catch up with Dario and we'll take care of things back here!"
"But I-" Ash was trying to say.
"Pika!" Pikachu cuts him off.
"Stop those two with your Poison Sting!" Jessie ordered.
Arbok open its mouth and fires multiple white darts from its mouth at Ponyta.
"Rose!" Anna shouted.
Rose turns around and jumps besides Ponyta. "Ta!" the two Fire Horse Pokémon neighed loudly as their bodies were fired up.
"Bok!" Arbok shouted in shock.
Weezing floats in front of his ally.
"Oh no!" James yells in terror. "Don't use the gas!" But it was too late. Weezing opens its mouth on its larger body and releases a stream of thick black smoke from it at Ponyta and Rose. The fire ignites the gas and the entire gas turns into fire that led to Weezing. It causes an explosion, sending Team Rocket, Team Neo and their Pokémon flying high in the air.
"I can't believe we were this close!" Libby shouted.
"Next time we'll be lucky!" Sam yelled.
"And now we're blasting off again!" Meowth shouted as Team Rocket and Team Neo disappeared.
"Yes! Now we got our picture back, Dodrio is still in the lead and now let's look what happened to the other Pokémon and I can't see anyth- wait, who's that?!"
Lara took a closer look and sees two balls of fire dashing through the plains.
"There are two giant flames!"
Ponyta and Rose were galloping as fast as they can.
"Faster, Ponyta!" Ash urges Ponyta. "We're way behind!"
"Dario is up head!" Anna shouted. "Hurry, Rose!"
"It's Ponyta and Rose! I don't know how it happened but this has become a three Pokémon Race between Dodrio, Ponyta and Rose! It's nothing but a flat run to the finish line and Dodrio has just entered the stadium and still in the league!"
"Heehee!" Dario laughed. "I'm going to wins this one!"
Ponyta and Rose has just entered the stadium as the fans cheered for them.
"Go, Anna!" July cheered.
"Keep going, Ash!" Slade called.
Dario turns his head around and sees Ponyta and Rose galloping right behind him. "Huh?" Dario gasps. "How did they get so close?"
"Ponyta and Rose are closing in on Dodrio!" the announcer shouted.
Rose gallops to the left of Dodrio.
"Don't forget, Rose!" Anna shouted.
Rose nodded her head as the three racers were trying to be in first.
"Now these three powerful Pokémon are trading for the lead!"
"Do it, Dodrio!" Dario ordered.
Two of Dodrio's head pecks Ponyta and Rose, causing them to slow down.
"Shake it off, Rose!" Anna yelled. "Run like the wind!"
Rose shakes the pain off and caught up to Dodrio again.
"Oh no you don't!" Dario shouted.
"Jump!" Anna ordered.
Rose jump above one of Dodrio's heads and entered the lead.
Ash notices the flames around got bigger. "AH!" Ash gasps.
Ponyta's body became glowing in a white flash of colored rainbows and a new Pokémon appeared. This Pokémon was much more bigger than Ponyta. It was an equine Pokémon with cream-colored fur and a pointed horn on its forehead. It has small, red eyes and triangular ears with reddish interiors. Yellow and reddish-orange flames stream from the back of its head to form a long, flowing mane. The mane trails down its back to its equally fiery tail. Flames are also present on its fetlocks. It has slender legs, each with a single black hoof.
The Pokémon jumps into the air.
"Ponyta evolved!" Ash gasps.
"Into Rapidash!" Lara gasps.
"Yay!" July cheered.
"Man, this is incredible! Ponyta has evolved into Rapidash, the fastest sprinter of the world Pokémon!"
Dario turns his head and growled. "I don't believe this!" Dario growled.
"Here comes Rapidash, with a top speed of one hundred miles per hour!"
Rapidash caught up with Dodrio.
"Rapidash has caught up Dodrio and Rose! They're all neck in neck and heading towards the finish line!"
"Come on Dodrio!" Dario shouted.
"Rapidash!" Ash yelled.
"Now Rose!" Anna yelled.
"It's down to the wire!"
All three racers were close to the finish line. Before Dodrio reached the finish line, Rapidash crosses the finish line first with Rose closely. Everyone cheered.
"An incredible upset! Rapidash has made an amazing comeback to win this Pokémon challenge!" the announcer shouted.
The three racers stop to catch their breaths.
"Way to go, Rapidash." Ash said to it.
"Good job, Rose." Anna smiled.
Dodrio walks up behind Ash. "You cheaters!" Dario growled. "You interfered with me!"
"Says the liar who attacked me and Ash." Anna said angrily.
"I'll show you two!" Dario shouted. "Go get'em!"
Dodrio tries to attack Rapidash, but Rapidash sent Dario and Dodrio flying in the air with its powerful hooves.
"AAHH!" Dario screams as the two of them disappeared.
Everyone also cheered for the other racers as soon as they got back to the stadium.
Ash was given the race flag to hold for Lara.
"Congradulations, Pony- I mean, Rapidash! You are this year's Pokémon Challenge Champion! Let's hear it for its trainer, Lara Laramie and the runner up, Ash Ketchum!"
Ash's friends cheered and clapped for them.
"Hey." Ash said, turning around to face Lara. "Congratulations, Lara!"
"Thank you, Ash." Lara smiles, sticking her hand out. Ash grabs her hand. "You prove yourself to be a fantastic Pokémon Trainer. Isn't that right, Rapidash?"
"Pi." Rapidash said, leaning down to lick Ash.
"Aw shucks, Rapidash!" Ash chuckled.
Everyone laughed. Slade and July walks up to Jovan, Seth and Anna.
"You guys were amazing out there." Slade smiled.
"The homestretch to the finish line reminded me about the pod race back in The Phantom Menace." July said.
Ash, Brock and Misty looks at them.
"Pod Race?" Brock asked confused.
"Nothing." Slade lied.
It was getting late in the afternoon as Lara, Growlithe, Rapidash and Tauros looks at them.
"If you're looking to catch some Pokémon, the Safari Zone just ahead is perfect." Lara said to Ash.
"The Safari Zone?" Ash smiled. "That's the place for me."
"Thanks again, Ash." Lara thanked him. "You did a great job. I'm sure you'll be a great Pokémon Master."
"Thanks, Lara." Ash said. "I'm much obliged."
Everyone turns around and walks off as Lara waves at them. While they were walking, Jovan looks at Dragonair. "How can I be able to talk to Dragonair when I turn into a Black Dragonite?" Jovan wonders in his thoughts. "I don't know what my friends and I got ourselves into."
As our heroes say goodbye to their new friend, Lara Laramie from the Pokémon Ranch, they're headed for new adventures at the Safari Zone. Jovan is wondering how he and his friends can transform into colored Pokémon and speak to Dragonair.
Somewhere in the middle of the forest, Dario was angry. "You guys are the reason I didn't won the big Pokémon Challenge!" he shouted. Team Rocket and Team Neo were tied and hanging on branch. "You guys are the worst!"
"We'll come up with a better plan to win next year." Libby said.
"That way you can get some nice riding clothes." Sam said.
"Not to mention that smelly bird needs a bath." Meowth added.
Dodrio became angry and started pecking Team Rocket and Team Neo.
"James, stop this crazy bird!" Meowth screams.

This one was fun to work on. I'm only two chapters away from the banned episode that was aired in Japan. I have a plan for it so I'm not going to spoil anything. Seth still needs two more Pokémon to have all six. My OC's transformations and moves will be coming on for the next few chapters.
