Ditto's Mysterious Mansion
As our heroes continue their journey, the future looks sunny and bright.
It was a beautiful day until dark clouds rolled in the sky.
Uh oh.
Everyone looks up.
"It's a storm." Jovan said.
It began to rain. All of them started to run.
"We got to get out of this rain!" Jovan shouted.
"I see a mansion up ahead!" July yelled.
On the left side of the field was a white mansion with several red roofs. There an orange flag on the top of the mansion.
"I don't like it." Misty said.
"We don't have a choice, Misty." Jovan said to her. "Hurry!"
They all ran to follow him. Jovan barges in and stops to catch his breath. After he caught his breath, Jovan called out. "Sorry we barge in here!" Jovan called. "We needed a place to get out of the rain!"
There was no answer. The room they were standing in was big as a theater. They all walk to the center of the room. Their footsteps echoed.
"It looks like some sort of theater." Brock said, looking around the room.
"If no one is around, we can stay here until the rain stops." Jovan said, looking at July.
"Pikachu." Pikachu said.
Everyone turns around and notices another Pikachu standing in front of Ash's Pikachu.
"Where did this other Pikachu come from?" Jovan wondered.
Both of the Pikachu began to mimic their movements.
"How cute." Misty smiled as she walks up to the other Pikachu. "Hi there." She picks up the Pikachu and turns it around. Misty notices that the other Pikachu's eyes were beady. "What is this?" Misty asked, creeped out. "What's wrong with it?"
Ash, Anna and Jovan walks up to her. "What happened?" Jovan said.
"That Pikachu doesn't look right." Misty said, pointing at it.
"Pikachu." the other Pikachu said.
"I think it's a new kind of Pikachu, but I'm not sure." Anna said.
"A new kind?" Ash repeated. "Then I'll just have to capture it. Pikachu, use Thunder Shock!"
"Pikachu!" Pikachu shouted, his cheeks glows yellow and releases multiple lighting bolts at the other Pikachu.
"Pikachu!" the other Pikachu shouted, attacking with Thunder Shock.
Both attacks collided.
"Go, Poké Ball!" Ash shouted, throwing a Poké Ball.
But then another Poké Ball collided with Ash's Poké Ball as both of them hits the floor.
"Who's there?" Jovan called out, turning to the left.
There was a person a standing there, wearing the same clothes as Ash.
"He's wearing the same clothes as you, Ash." Anna said.
"Except it's a girl." Brock said.
"How do you know?" Misty asks him.
"Men's intuition." Brock answers her.
"Who are you?" Ash asks her angrily.
The girl walks up to them. "Tell me who you are." she said.
"I'm Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town." Ash said.
"Duplica, from the House Of Imitay." she introduce her self. Duplica raises her face to look at Ash. Her pigtail hair was blue and she has brown eyes.
"That's why she looks like you, Ash." Jovan said.
"Heh heh." Duplica chuckled. "That's right."
"Hm." Brock said, taking closer look at her as he place his hand on his chin. "Maybe she's a little too young for me."
"You're sad." Misty said to him.
Duplica notices the other Pikachu. "Aw." she said, placing her hands on her hips. "It still hasn't gotten over that habit."
The other Pikachu began to glow and changed its shape into a Pokémon. It pink amorphous Pokémon with vestigial facial features. The face consists of a simple mouth and beady eyes. It also appears to have two pseudopods protruding from its body that it uses as arms.
"Ah!" the trainers exclaims as they take out their Poké Dex.
"Ditto, a Transform Pokémon. It is able to rearrange the cells of its body and assume any form. Its only attack is Transform."
"That explains why Ditto looks like Pikachu." Jovan smiled.
"You're right, but its face stayed the same." Seth said.
"When it transforms, shouldn't it be able to stay the same?" Brock asks Duplica.
"Yeah." Duplica said sadly. "It still can't change its face."
"But it's the only Pokémon that can transform like that, right?" Ash asks her. "Or are there others?"
"Nope." Duplica smiled. "Ditto's one of a kind."
"A Pokémon that can transform." Brock muttered. "It's only attack is to copy other Pokémon. That's all it does."
"Isn't that enough?" Misty wondered.
"But you can't have fun teaching it different attacks." Jovan pointed out.
"That's boring." Ash said.
"You think that's boring?" Duplica smirked. "Ha! That's what everyone says who doesn't understand Ditto's real power."
"It's real power?" Ash asked.
"Let's have a little match." Duplica suggested. "Then you'll understand, Ash-Boy."
"Ashy-Boy?" Ash growled.
Ash, Pikachu, Duplica and Ditto got on the stage as the stage light was on them. Brock and Misty were sitting down on the floor. Jovan and July stands behind Brock and Misty while Seth and Slade sat next to Brock and Anna sat next to Misty.
"I'll be using my Ditto, of course." Duplica said.
"You choose what you want." Ash said to her, taking out a Poké Ball. "Bulbasaur, I choose you!" He throws the Poké Ball and Bulbasaur appeared.
"Bulbasaur." Bulbasaur said.
"Go, little Ditto." Duplica said. "Transform!"
Ditto's body glowed purple and transforms into Bulbasaur. "Bulba." Ditto said.
"You'll have to be better than that." Ash snickered.
"Uh-uh-uh." Duplica said, waving her finger. "You haven't seen the best part."
"I'll show her." Ash growled. "Bulbasaur, Razor Leaf."
"Bulbasaur." Bulbasaur said. Razor-sharp leaves come out from under Bulbasaur's bulb and fly towards the opponent.
"Ditto, Vine Whip." Duplica commanded.
"Bulbasaur." Ditto said. Two dark green vines appears from either side of the bulb and deflects the leaves.
"Ditto can imitate its opponents attacks." Seth said with interest.
"All right." Duplica said. "Ditto, restrain Bulbasaur"
Bulbasaur was caught by the vine whips.
"Ah!" Bulbasaur grunted.
""Have you had enough, Ashy-Boy?" Duplica taunted.
"Bulbasaur." Bulbasaur grunted.
"All right." Ash said. "I understand. I give up."
Ditto releases Bulbasaur as he fell onto the floor. Ditto transforms back into its original form.
"Hm." Anna said.
"But how..." Ash wondered, "How could the real thing lose?"
"Since that's done, I'm going to head over to the costume room." Duplica said to them. "You should check out the costumes I have." Duplica led them to a room full of costumes. All the costumes were clean and organized.
"Wow." Anna gasps. "Look at all the costumes."
Duplica ran into the costume rack and changed into Nurse Joy. "Don't worry." Duplica smiled. "I'll take good care of it." Duplica ran back into the rack to change into Office Jenny. "My name is Jenny. You're under arrest for Pokémon poaching."
Pikachu and Ditto giggled with excitement.
"I'm impressed." Anna smiled.
"With all these costumes, I can imitate just about anybody." Duplica said. "Watch." She runs back to the rack again and transforms into Misty. "Heh heh." she giggled.
"She's me." Misty gasps.
Jovan and Slade were walking by the racks until they notice a couple of fake swords.
"Heh." Jovan chuckled, grabbing a fake sword. Slade grabs a fake sword and stood several feet away from Jovan. "Master Kenobi always said I'm always my own worst enemy."
"If I know you, you won't go down without a fight." Slade said.
July and Anna both smiled as they watch the two boys.
Seth walks over to Ash who was looking out the window. Ash was thinking about the match he had. "Don't let it get to you, Ash." Seth said as Brock, Misty and Pikachu walks over to him.
"Ditto's powers are unbeatable." Brock said.
"Pika Pika." Pikachu said to Ash.
"Better than the real Pokémon." Misty said.
"I just can't I believe I lost the match to a big fake." Ash grumbles.
"Ditto was battling you as a real Bulbasaur." Misty said.
"So is Jovan and Slade." Seth said, turning around to see Jovan and Slade swinging. "They also have the knowledge as well."
"Knowledge?" Ash wondered, looking at Brock.
"Now think about it." Brock said. "Why would Duplica have Ditto used Vine Whip instead of Razor Leaf against your Bulbasaur? Duplica knows all of Bulbasaur's potential attacks. She could order Ditto to use a strongest attack possible, according to the Pokémon it takes to transform."
Duplica walks up to them. She was wearing a red shirt with a yellow star, blue pants and red sneakers.
"That's right." Misty said, looking at Duplica. "I guess that mean Duplica must know every attack of every Pokémon there is."
"You must have studied a lot, Duplica." Brock complimented her. "To be able to battle in any situation like that."
"Stop it, Brock." Duplica said. "You're making me blush."
"Pika." Pikachu said to Ditto.
"I get it." Ash said, understanding. "It's more than imitation."
"It looks like you got another rival, Ash." Misty said. "Duplica would make a great Pokémon Master."
"No way." Duplica smiled. "I just want to become a great Ditto Master."
"A Ditto Master?" Ash, Brock, Misty and Seth repeated.
"You got it." she smiled. "And I want to be a big star."
In the theater room, Jovan and Slade was on stage, facing each other as July and Anna was watching them.
"Gr." Jovan growled, placing the sword in his left hand.
"The nightmare will devour your soul." Slade said.
"Battle begin!" both boys shouted.
Jovan charges at Slade as he thrust the sword. Slade steps sideways and tries for a punch. But Jovan blocks the punch with his sword. Both trainers clash swords with one another. As they were training, Jovan didn't notice that he was near the edge. Before Jovan can attack, he fell backwards off the stage.
"What's going on out here?" Misty asked, walking up to them with the others.
"Looks like Jovan and Slade was imitating Inferno and Nightmare from Soul Calibur VI." Seth said. Misty and Brock gave Seth a confused look. "Don't mind me." Seth said with a nervous smile.
Ash has notice that Jovan was laying on top of Anna.
"I didn't know Jovan and Anna loves each other that much." July teased.
"Let us leave the princess and her noble guard alone." Slade said. "So that they may confess their love to each other."
"It's not what it looks like!" Joan and Anna yelled, their faces turning red.
Duplica and Ditto hops on stage as Slade joins his friends.
"You see, I started this Imitay House because I like to intimidate Pokémon." Duplica explains. "This place is so flat and boring, but people pass by here all the time. I thought maybe when they stop here to rest, I could entertain them. The only trouble is Ditto hasn't been able to fix this weird problem that keeps its face transforming right way. And that's what happens." She hops off the stage.
"That is weird." Slade said.
"When people watch Ditto, they don't want to see an imperfection transformation." Duplica said. "Ditto has been trying its hardest to master it perfectly, but its face is still the same."
"Ditto." Ditto said sadly.
"Being a Ditto Trainer is tough." Jovan said.
All of a sudden, the lights went out.
Duplica turns around as the lights was centered at the stage. Coming from underneath the floor was Team Rocket and Team Neo with their backs turn. Meowth turns around.
"That was a touching story." Meowth said.
"What?" Duplica asked, scared. "Who are you?"
"Prepare for trouble!" Jessie shouted, turning around to face them.
"Make it double!" James did the same thing as Libby, Sam and Justin did the same thing.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth! That's right! Let's give them a hand."
"Ah." Jovan yawns. "I'm glad that the show is over."
"Quiet, twerp." Jessie said. "You'll be happy to know we're not interested in Pikachu today."
"The one we're interested in is..." Sam said.
"The Ditto!" Meowth shouted. He jumps off the stage and grabs Ditto.
"Ditto." Dittos yelled.
"Stop!" Duplica shouted.
"Time for action, Weezing!" James shouted, throwing a Poké Ball and Weezing appeared.
"Weezing!" Weezing shouted. Weezing opened their mouths, releasing the dark green gas.
Everyone was coughing. The gas disappeared and so did Team Rocket, Team Neo and Ditto.
"Oh no!" Duplica exclaims. "My Ditto is gone."
"Those guys." Jovan growled. "Now what are they up to?"
Somewhere in the field there was a house with a head of a Meowth.
"Glad to see that the rain stop." Libby chuckled, turning away from the window. "Because we got ourselves a Ditto."
Ditto was sitting on blue pillow on the table as Jessie and James were standing in front of it.
"Right." Sam nodded.
"I'll be glad that the boss will make me his top right man." Justin smiled. "But before we bring it to the boss, we should take Ditto for a test drive."
Jessie takes out a book and opens it. She puts her finger on the picture of Dratini. "Transform into this." Jessie said to Ditto.
"Become Dratini, the Pokémon we've never been able to capture." James said with a smile.
"It would be a great gift to the boss." Sam said. "Let's get started."
"What's the hurry?" Jessie asks Sam and James.
"Hm?" James asked confused.
Jessie's face was blushing. "Before we hand it over to the boss, let's have some fun with it."
"What do you mean?" Sam asks her.
"Ditto." Jessie said, looking at Ditto and taking out a picture of a person. "What would the person in this picture looks like if he was an adult?"
"Ditto?" it asked confused.
"Transform and show me." Jessie said.
"Whose picture is it?" James asks her. "Let me see."
"No way." Jessie said, trying to push him away. "This is personal. James, stop it."
The picture was in front of Meowth's face. "Let's see." Meowth said, taking a look at the picture. "Ha! It's a little boy."
"What?" Sam asked, amazed. "You have a boyfriend, Jessie?"
"He was my first true love." Jessie answered.
"First love?!" James asked in surprised.
"Show me." Jessie said to Ditto.
"Ditto." Ditto nodded. Ditto transforms into the picture of the boy Jessie was holding.
"Huh?" Jessie asked confused.
James, Meowth, Sam and Justin fell to the floor and started laughing.
"Your boyfriend has a nice face!" Sam laughed.
"Even if your boyfriend is a Ditto!" Meowth laughed.
Libby smacks them in the eye. "Really?" Libby growls at them.
Jessie bends down to be at an eye level with Ditto. "Is that your idea of a transformation?" Jessie growls at it.
"Ditto." Ditto answered, licking Jessie's face.
The guys started laughing harder. Jessie and Libby hits them across the face hard, again.
"Do as I say!" Jessie hissed. "Transform into this!" she pointed at the picture of Dratini.
Ditto transforms into a book.
All of them groaned as Jessie and Libby joined their teammates on the floor.
"I'm beginning to see a problem in this plan." Sam said.
Jessie quickly stood up, staring furiously at Ditto. "How dare you insult us like this!" Jessie hissed. "I'm warning you! You better transform perfectly this time or I'll transform you into jelly!"
"Ditto." Ditto whimpered.
Jovan and Dragonair was flying through the air with Pidgeotto, looking for Team Rocket and Team Neo. Anna was riding Ponyta as Seth and Slade was walking through the forest as July was riding Arcanine. They had Pidgeotto, Zubat and Slyther flying through the fields.
"How far do you think Team Rocket and Team Neo went with Ditto?" Dragonair asks Jovan.
"Not far, I hope." Jovan answered. "Hm?" He stops flying and looks down below. Standing with its back turn was the creature. "It's that dragon!"
"Let's behind those boulders." Dragonair said.
Jovan and Dragonair lands behind a couple of boulders. "What's it doing out here?" Jovan wondered.
"You got me." Dragonair said. "But I don't like it."
Jovan looks at her and nodded before looking over the boulder. "We should be strong enough to defeat it I think." Jovan said. He transforms back into his human form and calls out Bulb, Charmander and Aqua. Then Jovan steps around the boulder and walks a few steps in front of the boulder.
The armored creature turns around and face them.
"Keep your guard up, everyone." Jovan told his four Pokémon. He transforms back into his Dragontie form.
Charmander used Flamethrower, Aqua used Water Gun, Bulb used Razor Leaf and Dragonair used Ice Beam. All four attacks collided at the armored dragon creature. The attacks exploded, causing smoke. The smoke was blown away, revealing the armored creature in a purple barrier.
"Ha!" Jovan shouted, firing his Hyper Beam.
The dragon simply raised its right claw. The attack bounces off and hits Jovan instead. Jovan slams hard into the boulder. "Gah!" Jovan grunted.
The dragon lowers its claw.
"You're going to pay for that!" Chamander shouted. The Flame Pokémon jumps onto Dragonair's back and Dragonair flew towards the creature.
Aqua runs and jumps at the opponent with her head down and try to strike it with her head. But the creature quickly caught her with its tail. Aqua opens her mouth and fires a Water Gun into its face.
The creature grunted annoyed as it sent Aqua flying.
"Ha!" Bulb shouted, firing razor sharp leaves at it.
Before it can use a barrier, Charmander fires a Flamethrower at it from above. It was a direct hit, but not very effective. The dragon place its claws together and fires several Shadow Balls.
"Hang on!" Dragonair shouted, trying to dodge black spheres. But one of the spheres hits her, making Charmander to lose her grip and fall.
"Aah!" Charmander screams.
"Charmander!" Jovan shouted. He flies after Charmander with great speed and caught her. He and Charmander disappeared from a Shadow Ball and landed on their feet. A ball of fire forms in Jovan's mouth and he releases a fiery inferno to the dragon and Charmander fires another Flamethrower. The two attacks collided at the creature and exploded.
The smoke disappeared, revealing the dragon with its arms covering the helmet. Its tail twitch angrily.
"Looks like we made it mad." Dragonair said, landing besides Jovan and Charmander.
The creature stares at them angrily. Jovan flew at it quickly and was about to attack, but the creature grabs him by the arm with its tail. "Ngh!" Jovan grunted, trying to break free.
Before the creature can attack him, an attack hits it from behind, making it to let go of Jovan. The dragon turns around and see's Chan.
"Hitmonchan." Hitmonchan said.
Jovan can see his friends in their Pokémon forms with their Pokémon.
"Give up!" Slade called to the creature.
The creature fires a Shadow Ball at Vul before flying away into the sky and disappeared. Anna used Flamethrower to destroy the black sphere before it hits Vul. Slade watches his friend transforms back into their human forms.
"Are you okay?" July asks her brother as they ran up to him.
"I'm fine." Jovan said. "That dragon was strong."
"I'm glad that Chan was able to save you with that Ice Punch." July smiled.
"Chan Hitmon." Chan nodded.
"That reminds me, did you see Ditto anywhere?" Jovan asked him.
"Slyther found Ditto." Anna answered him. "They're holding Ditto in a house with a big Meowth head."
"Let's go!" Jovan smiled.
By the time everyone can see the house, the house opened itself, revealing a hot air Meowth balloon.
"That's a hot air balloon!" Seth shouted.
"It's already taking off!" July yelled.
The others joined Ash, Pikachu, Misty, Brock and Duplica.
"Where were you guys?" Brock asks them.
"We'll explain later after we deal Team Rocket and Team Neo." Slade said.
"Hold it!" Duplica shouted, running a couple feet ahead.
Jovan notice she was holding a Meowth.
"Duplica, what are you doing?" Ash asked her, running up to her.
"This isn't Ditto." She answered.
"Huh?" Ash asked confused.
"Hey, let me go, will you?" Meowth pleaded. "AH!"
Duplica throws him at the hot air balloon. Meowth screams and hits the hot air balloon.
"How did you know?!" Libbi called down to her.
"You couldn't tell the difference!" Sam growled.
The other Meowth bit Jessie's arm.
"Aah!" Jessie squeals, letting go of the other Meowth.
"Ditto!" Ditto yelled as it jumps off and falls.
Duplica catches Ditto. "Heh heh." Duplica giggles. "I wouldn't be much of a trainer if I couldn't see through that transformation, would I, Ditto?"
"Nice job, messing up this one." Justin complains.
"Stop complaining." Sam snaps him.
"Time for Plan B." Jessie said, taking out a switch and pressing the button. The bottom of the basket opened, revealing a canon aimed at them.
"AH!" Everyone gasps.
"Stop!" Ash shouted. "You can't do this!"
"Be quiet!" Libby yells down below. "We're going to win this time."
"Ditto, transform now!" Duplica shouted.
Ditto jumps from her arms and transforms into a cannon.
"That's great!" Ash shouted, amazed. "I didn't know Ditto can transform into things like that." He looks down at Pikachu. "Pikachu!"
"Pikachu!" Pikachu nodded as he runs inside the cannon.
Jovan tranforms into his black Dragonite form. He and Dragonair stood several feet away from the cannon.
"Pikachu, aim!" Ash ordered.
"Ditto, fire!" Duplica commanded.
The cannon fires Pikachu high in the air. Dragonair takes off at the same time with Pikachu.
"Fire!" Jessie shouted, pressing the switch. The cannon fired a net at the two Pokémon.
Jovan quickly appeared beside Pikachu and a ball of fire forms in Jovan's mouth and he releases a fiery inferno towards the net with Dragonair's Thunderbolt and Pikachu's Thunder Shock. The net caught on fire and the electric zaps Team Rocket and Team Neo.
"AAHH!" Team Rocket and Team Neo screaming.
"ARGH!" Meowth screams. One of his paws tear a hole in the balloon, making the balloon to lose air.
"We just lost all our hot air!" Libby shouted as she was getting dizzy.
"Look's like Team Rocket is blasting off again!" Team Rocket shouted as they disappeared.
Ditto transforms back into its original form. Duplica runs up to it as it jumps into her arms. "Ditto." Ditto said.
"That was great." Duplica smiled. "You learned how to completely transform. Ditto, would you please transform into a Pikachu?"
"Ditto." Ditto answered. It jumps onto the ground and transforms into a Pikachu. "Pikachu."
Pikachu walks up to it. "Pi?"
"Pika." It answered.
"Pika." Pikachu smiled.
The others walks up to the two Pikachu.
"That's amazing." Misty smiled, looking at the two Pikachu. "Ditto transforms perfectly."
"Oh wow." Jovan said as he was back in his human form.
"Team Rocket was actually good for something." Ash smiled.
"The way Ditto transform into objects is going to very interesting." Slade said.
"It looks real as the real thing." Anna replied, looking at the two Pikachu.
Ash kneels down. "Hey, Ditto, great job." Ash said to the two Pikachu.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked confused.
"Pika." the other Pikachu said.
Ash realized their both Pikachu. "But now I can't tell which one's my Pikachu."
"Then I guess you need to keep training, Ashy-Boy." Duplica teases him.
Ash groans at her comment.
Duplica bens down and picks up the other Pikachu. "Right, Ditto?"
The other Pikachu transforms back into Ditto. "Ditto." it answered.
All the trainer smiled and chuckled.
After they got back at the mansion, Duplica finished putting in a nail. "There." she smiled. "Imitay House is reopened." Duplica was standing on the ladder as she finished putting the sign up.
Everyone smiled as they were standing outside.
"Ha ha." Ash chuckles. "Congratulations."
"Way to go." Anna smiled.
"Thanks for everything." Dupica said to them. "Come back and see us anytime, okay?"
"Good luck!" Ash calls to her. "And take care of yourself, Ditto Master!"
They all turned around and walks away.
"Imagine the strength of all Pokémon into one." Ash said.
The words hit Jovan, July, Seth, Anna and Slade. Jovan battled the armored dragon and it was strong.
Our heroes helped bring the sunshine back into a fellow trainer's life. Who knows what rewards and adventures await them beyond the rainbow?
Somewhere in the forest, Libby and Sam sits back to back, groaning.
"What are we going to do now?" Justin moaned as he sat in front of Libby.
"I have an idea." Libby said.
"What is it?" Sam asks her.
"We'll put Justin in liger costume and present it to the boss." Libby said, smiling evilly as she looks at Justin.
"I don't like the look on your face." Justin smiled nervously. He quickly got up and started running away from his two friends in circles as Jessie, James and Meowth were fighting.
