A Chansey Operation
It's a beautiful day. Jovan was climbing a tree while Pikachu was looking through a few good good apples to eat. As Jovan was climbing near the top of the tree, he found a good sized apple.
"Hey Pikachu, here's a good one!" Jovan calls down to Pikachu. But Pikachu didn't respond. He sees Pikachu laying on the ground, knocked out and not moving. "Pikachu!" Jovan gasps. The branch Jovan was standing on snapped. He fell and hit some pretty good branches.
While Dragonair was flying through the air, she heard Jovan yelling for a few seconds and stops yelling. She flew towards the apple tree and notices Pikachu and Jovan knocked out. "Nair!" Dragonair yelled as she lands near them.
July was taking a nice nap next to Ash until Anna was waking her up.
"July, wake up!" Anna yelled, shaking July.
July wakes up and looks at her and Misty. "What's wrong?" she asks them as July stands up.
"It's Jovan and Pikachu." Misty said.
"What?!" July gasps. Ash and July stand up as Brock ran over to them with Pikachu in his arms and Seth and Slade were carrying Jovan. "Jovan." July said, worried. "What happened?"
"Cha, Cha." Pikachu was trying to speak.
Jovan didn't say anything.
"I think there's something wrong with Pikachu's voice." Brock said.
"And Jovan too." Seth added.
"Are you in pain?" July asks her brother.
Jovan nodded his head.
"Something must be stuck in their throats." Brock said.
Ash grabs Pikachu by the feet and started shaking him. "Hang on, Pikachu!" Ash grunted. "I'll get it out for you!" He stops shaking shaking Pikachu for a couple seconds.
"Cha..." Pikachu chokes weakly.
Jovan pounds his chest to get the apple out.
"Stop it, Jovan." Anna said, grabbing his arm. "That's not going to work."
"We need to get Jovan and Pikachu to a doctor." Brock said.
"Then let's move." July said.
Ash, Brock and Misty started running.
July takes one of Jovan's Poké Balls. "Go Arcanine!" she shouted, throwing the Pokémon and Arcanine appeared.
"Arc!" Arcanine exclaims.
"Arcanine, Jovan is in trouble." July said to him. "Take us to the nearest hospital."
Arcanine lowers his body that Seth and Slade puts Jovan on as July got on. Everyone followed the others.
What our heroes don't know is that there is no Pokémon Center in miles. They'll have to do the next big thing.
Everyone found a hospital. Ash begins pounding the door to see if anyone is there.
"Is anyone there?" he called. "We have an emergency!"
The doors open as the doctor came out. He was wearing a white over his blue shirt and tie, brown pants and shoes. He has short brown hair and black eyes.
"Just getting to sleep." he mumbles.
"Please, this is an emergency." Ash said to him. "Please help us."
"Hm?" the doctor looks at them.
"Please help us." Misty pleaded.
The doctor looks at Misty, July and Anna. "Well how can I deny three pretty faces?" he smiled. "I'm Dr. Proctor."
Misty was sitting on a table as Dr. Proctor looks at her. "What seems to be your problem little lady?" he asks her.
"She doesn't have a problem." Anna said to him, standing behind the table. He looks confused at her comment.
"These are your patients." July said as they all walk up to the table.
Ash lays Pikachu on the bed as Jovan was trying to stand up.
"This is a hospital for people." Dr. Proctor said. "Why don't you take your Pokémon to Joy at the Pokémon Center?"
"It's too far to make it to the Pokémon Center." July said. "Please, you have to help us."
"I'll help you because this young man seems he's about to keel over." he said, looking at Jovan. "But not-" then he was interrupted.
"And help Pikachu too, please?" July pleaded.
"It's not my specialty to help Pokémon, but Doctor Proctor will do his best." he smiled. "This young man can sit over on the bed." Dr. Proctor said, pointing at the bed.
July and Anna helps Jovan over by the bed. The three of them watch Dr. Proctor listens to Pikachu's throat.
"It has something stuck in his throat." he said.
"Do whatever you can to save him." Ash said. "He's my best friend."
"I will." Dr. Proctor nodded his head.
Several minutes, Dr. Proctor pulls the apple out of Pikachu's throat. Seth smiled as Ash and Pikachu hugged each other. The doctor walks over to Jovan.
"Open wide." he told his patient. Jovan opens his mouth as the doctor shines a light in Jovan's mouth. There was a apple blocking the throat. "Hold him for me." Doctor Proctor said to July and Anna.
July and Anna hold Jovan's arms. The doctor slid his hand inside and begins to move the apple. The two girls restrains Jovan's arms, trying to break free. Dr. Proctor pulls the apple out of Jovan's mouth. Jovan was free and slid off the bed onto the floor.
Jovan was trying to catch his breath for two minutes.
"Jovan!" July smiled, hugging her brother.
The doctor looks at Ash. "If you waited any longer serious respiratory complications would have arisen." Dr. Proctor said. "You were just in time. But I have to say it was very irresponsible of you as a trainer to let you Pikachu eat it whole." He looks over shoulder at Jovan. "And you, young man, shouldn't eat the apple whole." The doctor looks back at them.
"I didn't let Pikachu eat it." Ash said angrily to him.
"Anyway, the treatment is over now. Go home." Dr. Proctor said, putting the two apples down and walks away.
"He may have a soft spot for Misty, Anna and July, he was seem pretty hard on you, Ash." Brock said.
"If you ask me, you have a soft spot for pretty girls too, Brock." Slade said to Brock.
"I... uh..." Brock was trying to say, his face blushing.
"I knew I should've been a lawyer." Dr. Proctor said, walking out into the lobby. The phone started to ring as everyone entered the lobby room.
"Your phone is ringing." Misty said to him.
"I'm not going to answer it." Dr. Proctor said, walking away from the desk. "I'm off duty."
"Really?" Anna asked, raising her eyebrows.
"It's probably an emergency like Pikachu and me." Jovan said. He quickly jumps over the desk as everyone ran through the back office to the desk. Jovan answers the computer and on the screen is Nurse Joy.
"Hello, hello?" Joy called.
"Hello, Nurse Joy." Brock blushes.
"Who's that?" Joy asked. "This is supposed to be an emergency hospital."
"It is." Jovan said.
The lazy doctor turns his head to them. "Give me a break." he said. "I'm off duty."
"Doctor, this is a critical situation." Nurse Joy said. "A truck that was carrying Pokémon got involved into an accident." The video screen change to road. Officer Jenny was there with the ambulance and there were injured Pokémon on the road. "Many Pokémon were injured and my Pokémon Center can't handle all the victims."
Jovan can see Jenny telling her officers that the Pokémon Center is full and the other remaining Pokémon being resent to the hospital. The Chansey were pushing different Pokémon on stretchers.
"Oh no." Seth said.
"Not good." Anna said.
"We need your hospital to help care for these patients temporarily." Joy said as she appeared on the screen again.
Everyone looks at Dr. Proctor.
"You have to help them." Jovan said to him.
"Okay." Dr. Proctor said as he stops leaning to stand up and looks at them. "Bring them down this way. By the way, Nurse Joy, would you be interested to go for pizza this Saturday Night?"
"You can talk to me about pizza after this is done." Nurse Joy said angrily and she hung up.
"Well, can't blame a guy for trying." he smiled, shrugging his shoulders.
"I don't like this guy because he sounds like you." Seth said to Brock.
"That is disturbing." Misty added.
"Nair." Dragonair agreed.
"Alright kids, you better get into these." Dr. Proctor said, walking up to them with eight white coats.
"Huh?" they all asked confused.
"We don't have enough doctors and nurses." Dr. Proctor said to them. "So it looks like you'll be my assistances."
"We're going to help treat Pokémon?" Misty asked.
"All of you will do fine as long as you do everything I tell you." the doctor smiled.
"Then let's get to work." Jovan smiled.
The sirens went off, causing them to look out the door.
"They never told us about this in med school." Dr. Proctor muttered.
Jovan and his friends quickly grabs the coats and puts it on. Jovan, July and Anna were running along with two Chansey, pushing a table with a Tauros. Chansey gives a clipboard to Jovan and he read to the clipboard.
"Over here in the room." Jovan said, leading to a big room where Seth and Slade were waiting for them.
Seth felt his body changing. He transforms into a Machop. Seth used Strength to lift Tauros on the bed and transforms back into a human.
"Hm." Jovan said, looking at the paper on the clipboard. "Tauros three tails are tied up and has a nail in its front hoof."
When July touch the nail and tried to pull it out, Tauros moved violently.
"Tauros, it's ok." Anna said, calming it down. She rubs its head and it begins to calm down. "You're only going to feel a little pinch."
July grabs the nail and gently pulls it out.
"Ta." Tauros mooed, feeling no more pain.
Jovan started untying the knots and the three tails were free.
"I see you're doing good." Dr. Proctor said, entering the room.
"Thank you, doctor." Jovan said. "How's everyone else is doing?"
"They're doing fine." Dr. Proctor said. "We just got some extra help too."
Anna sees Libby, Sam and Justin entering the room. "Team Neo!" Anna exclaims.
"Doctor, they're bad guys." Jovan told him.
"We may be bad guys, but we do care about our Pokémon too." Sam said. "And besides, we're helping to treat the Pokémon too."
July heard a Pokémon crying from the next room over. She went to the next room and sees Meowth crying.
"I'll pay any price to have my gold charm found!" Meowth cried.
Chasney walks by July and hands Meowth a bowl of rice.
He stops crying and looks at the bowl. "Oh thanks." Meowth said, putting it on his forehead where his gold charm used to be. But he got angry and looks at Chansey after throwing the bowl of rice. "I said price, not rice!"
Chansey picks big board game and places it on his forehead.
"I don't want to play!" Meowth whines as he was trying to find his balance. " Find my charm, please!"
July turns around and got out of Chansey's way as Chansey was carrying a police station. The door open as Jenny looks at them.
"Did somebody call the police?" Jenny asked.
"My charm, my charm, my charm!" Meowth cried again.
Chansey places a Venonat on Meowth's forehead.
"Will you get off of me?!" Meowth shouted, tossing it on Chansey's head.
"Chansey!" she cried out. Chansey grabs Meowth and started slapping him across the face multiple times. Meowth was knocked out and Chansey places a bandage on Meowth's forehead.
Aqua was carrying a box of medicine and tools while Bulb was bringing an injured Poliwag to the next room. Arcanine places the sheet on the table and Dragonair spreads it out.
"Here is your next patient, doctor." July said, bringing in an injured Ivysaur.
"Thank you." he smiled. While Dr. Proctor was treating the Ivysaur, he heard Misty and Anna startled yell. The doctor looks over his shoulder. "Be careful, ladies." Dr. Proctor said. "Voltorb can self destruct."
Jessie looks at him with a shocked look. "This thing can self destruct?" Jessie asked shocked. "I forgot, I have to find Meowth." Jessie walks away.
"But Jessie!" Misty calls her.
"Chansey, take over." Dr. Proctor ordered.
"Chansey." Chansey smiled. She begins to pull Voltorb out from Weepinbell's mouth.
"Don't you self destruct Voltorb." Misty told it. She looks at Weepinbell. "Hang on, Weepinbell.
Chansey pulls Voltorb out.
"Bell!" Weepinbell gasps for air.
"Nice work!" Misty told Chansey with a smile and she looks at Weepinbell. "How you feeling Weepinbell?"
"Bell We." it replied.
Meanwhile, Jovan and Seth was trying to calm down a Rhyhorn. This Rhyhorn was refusing to take some medicine.
"Rhyhorn, please calm down." Jovan said, trying to calm it down.
Rhyhorn knocks the bowl out of his hands.
"Watch it!" Jovan shouted as he backs up.
Slade runs up to them. "We have a problem." Slade said.
"What is it?" Seth asks him as he looks at Slade.
"Dr. Proctor is taking a nap." he answered.
"Really?" Jovan asked shocked.
"Yeah." Slade said. "He was going to give Dodrio an anesthetic, but it lunged at him, causing him to stab himself and fall asleep."
"Gr." Jovan growls.
"Dragon Nair!" Dragonair cheered besides him.
Jovan smiled. "We'll just do our best." Jovan smiled. He turns around and faced Rhyhorn. "Aqua!"
"Squirtle!" Aqua exclaims, running in front of him.
"Use Water Gun!" Jovan ordered.
Aqua fires a force of water at Rhyhorn to calm it down.
"Just take it easy." Jovan said with a smile.
Seth begins to dry Rhyhorn with a towel as Jovan gave the medicine. Everyone continued working for a few good hours while Meowth was looking for his charm. As everyone was still working, Jessie, James, Libby and Sam were peeking in the doorway from the lobby.
"Now that we're done with charity work, it's time for Team Rocket and Team Neo to take over." Libby smiled evilly.
"Oh yeah." Sam agreed.
"Let's start catching them since they're weak with no trouble at all." Libby tells her teammates.
Team Rocket and Team Neo took off the doctor uniforms.
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
"To denounce the evil of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
Jessie and James was standing on the moving tables as Libby and Sam was pushing them.
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now or prepare to-"
Justin walks into the lobby with Meowth. "Don't worry, Meowth." Justin said to him. "It should be around here somewhere."
Their teammates were yelling in shocked and crashed into them. Everyone enters the room.
"Enough horsing around." Jovan tells Team Rocket and Team Neo. "We need help here."
"We're done being good." Libby informs them. "From now on we're Battle Team Rocket and Battle Team Neo."
"All the Pokémon in this hospital are ours!" Sam announced.
Everyone gasps.
"They're not yours!" Jovan shouted.
"That doctor treated your Pokémon." Misty said to them. "Is this how you act when somebody do you a favor?"
"Yeah." Libby said.
"Because we're Team Rotten." Jessie and James smiled together.
"They are rotten." Seth said.
"Time for our first attack with the stretcher catcher." Sam smiles evilly.
Jessie and James kicks several stretchers at them.
"Watch out!" Jovan yelled.
The stretchers sprung up and caught them with arms and hands.
"We're trapped!" Anna shouted. She tried to move but it didn't work.
Sam and his teammates walks up to them. "We made some adjustments when you were busy to those poor little Pokémon." Sam said. "Get comfortable."
"Release us now!" Jovan growls. "There are still Pokémon that are still hurt."
"Don't you worry about that." Libby said. "When we catch them all, we'll treat them."
"So we win." Sam smiles.
James takes out a big needle. "Get ready." James smiled. "It's payback time for Team Rocket and Team Neo!"
"Don't you dare!" Jovan yelled.
But Chansey stood in front of Team Rocket with her arms out.
"What's with this one?" Sam wondered.
"Out of our way!" Libby ordered.
"Chansey!" she protested.
"Alright then." Libby said. "Kakuna, deal with her!"
Arbok hisses at Chansey as Kakuna stares at Chansey angrily.
"Eliminate this Chansey now." Jessie ordered.
Arbok hisses at Chansey as the three Pokémon stares at each other.
"Hurry up and attack!" Libby snaps at Kakuna.
The Pokemon looks at them and shook their heads.
"What?" Libby gasps.
"Alright then Weezing, Gas attack!" James ordered.
"Weezing!" Weezing shouted.
Weezing and Fearow stares at Chansey.
"Just attack already!" Sam shouted.
Weezing and Fearow looks at their trainers and shook their heads.
"What's going on around here?" Jessie wondered.
"Ha ha." Dr. Proctor laughed as he enters the lobby. "You shouldn't be surprised. Good morning everyone."
Everyone smiled that he was awake.
"Team Rocket and Team Neo's Pokémon haven't forgotten that Chansey cared for them when they injured and needed treatment." Dr. Proctor explains.
"This isn't any of your business!" Jessie shouted, throwing a glass bottle at the doctor.
He quickly slices the bottle in half with a knife.
"Whoa!" Slade gasps.
Dr. Proctor walks by them and faces Team Rocket and Team Neo.
"You see, before you start playing rough, take a look at my ammunition." Dr. Proctor said, opening his white coat. Hanging inside the coat was knives, scissors and shots.
"Oh boy." Libby said nervously.
"No way." Meowth gasps.
"Who wants be my next patient?" Dr. Proctor asked.
The Chansey walks over to everyone and free them.
"Thanks Chansey." Jovan smiled. He looks at Team Rocket and Team Neo. "After having a break, I think it's your turn." Jovan said. "Do you concur, Anna?"
"Yes." Anna agreed.
Everyone pushes their beds back at Team Rocket and Team Neo.
"AHH!" Team Rocket and Team Neo yelled, running down the hall and through wall to get outside.
"We'll see you again soon!" July called, waving.
Team Rocket and Team Neo stops running and collapse, catching their breath.
"Looks like we came empty handed again." Libby said.
"But James did manage to get this one." Sam said, pointing at Voltorb.
"That's a Voltorb!" Justin shouted.
"Voltorb!" it shouted, its body glowing and exploded.
"Team Rocket is blasting off again!" Team Rocket shouted as they were sent flying high across the sky.
They flew for a few seconds and landed on the ground, making Meowth's charm to appear again on his forehead.
"I got my charm back." Meowth moaned, rubbing.
"Charming." Libby and Sam said.
Everyone was standing outside of the hospital.
"All of you can become outstanding doctors." Dr. Proctor smiled. "Why don't you stay and train at my hospital with me?"
"Thanks anyway." Brock said.
"My dream is to become a Pokémon Master." Ash said.
"Yeah, and my dream to become a Pokémon Breeder." Brock said.
"I might really like to become a doctor someday, but first I have a lot to learn about Water Pokémon." Misty said.
"And what about you?" the doctor asks Jovan.
"I'm not sure." Jovan said.
"I'm sure you'll become whatever you want." Dr. Proctor said.
"See ya." Ash said.
"Goodbye." Misty waved.
"And thanks again." Brock said.
Everyone turns around and walks away.
"Good luck to you." Dr. Proctor waves at them.
Ash and his friends know that helping others is its own reward. The Pokémon are on the road to recovery and our heroes are back to their adventure.
