Reader: Betty's Opinion about Tai and Summer will eventually come later down the line actually. As for a Vizord-like group, we sadly won't get anything like that as Jaune is technically the 2nd and more perfect Human/Grimm Hybrid, but the Silver-Eyed people who Salem used to create Grimm Hybrids will show up in the Sequel.
Phantom117a: it's both similar to Naruto V Kurama as well as Ichigo V Hollow Ichigo

The Final Chapter of the Favnear Arc is here! While it was a rather Short Arc compared to the ones before and after it, It was still very much fun to write and show a more human side of the Grimm in Favnear, as well as bringing Characters like Betty and Shion into the main fold, and their roles will definitely be important for the future of this story and the sequel.

Inside Jaune's Soul, the young man was battered and looked ragged, as he was held up in the air by his throat by Favnear, who examined Jaune with a glare. "Look at how hopeless you are!" Favnear cried, "Destroying me is impossible! The way we are now, we're connected now, and killing me would be like killing your anger or your hatred, which is impossible to do!" Favnear cried.
Jaune glared at him and tried to stab Favnear, but Favnear quickly moved his head and growled before flying back to the ground and slamming Jaune right into the ground, which caused the young knight to cry out in pain. Favnear let go of his neck and stood over him, and then he pulled his foot back and then kicked Jaune in the side and sending him flying across the courtyard and causing him to crash through Beacon's main doors.
Jaune slowly got up and looked back in Favnear's direction as he saw the Grimm slowly approaching, "I... I know that every person has those emotions, but you... your want to take my life and hurt my friends... and I can't let you do that... you're just evil..."
Hearing those words, Favnear froze up and looked at Jaune, and his anger rose. "Evil? EVIL!?" Fanear cried, "I'LL TELL YOU WHAT'S EVIL!" Favnear cried.
In a split second, Favnear appeared right in front of Jaune and then picked up Jaune and held him high in the air, Jaune didn't seem to be fazed due to his already beaten state but still tried to free himself.
"What is Evil is seeing the rest of your kind fall at the hands of you humans! Seeing them all perish right before your eyes! It is you humans who are Evil!" Favnear cried before pulling Jaune back and throwing him through Beacon's walls.
Jaune crashed through so many walls before coming to a stop in one of the classrooms, he once again got back to his feet but then he was struck in the stomach and all the wind was knocked out of him and he fell to his knees and gasped for air.
Favnear looked down at him with a disgusted look, but Jaune looked back up with a furious glare.
"You call us evil, but we're not the ones going around causing destruction everywhere we go!" Jaune cried as he regained air in his lungs.
Favnear looked at him with a raised brow, "Oh is that right? What about the Bandits of Vacuo? The criminals in Mistral and Vale? Or the White Fang!?" Favnear cried, "Despite Grimm being the biggest threat to you, you Humans and Faunus still fight among yourselves for power, greed, or just plain cruelty! We were born evil, we are doing what is in our nature... but you humans choose to be evil!" Favnear finished.
Jaune's eyes widened and he realized that Favnear was right, sure the Grimm killed and ate humans, but could they really be evil when all they were doing was following their nature? They were just like any animal in the world, but humans and Faunus? They all had a choice, the choice to be good, to do the right thing, to make the world a better place despite the circumstances... but some chose to be greedy, power-hungry, cruel, and just plain evil.
What was their excuse?
Jaune got back up and gripped his sword tighter and held his shield firmly, as he glared at Favnear. His aura flared up in Crocea Mors and Jaune slashed at him, however, Favnear backed up and weaved back, he then Favnear swung his own Crocea Mors at Jaune but the Young blond blocked the attack with his shield. Jaune then pushed Favnear's blade away, and swung at the Grimm again, only for the attack to be swiftly caught by the Grimm's own hand.
Suddenly, when Favnear caught Jaune's blade, Jaune had a flash of a memory.
But it wasn't his own.
In this memory, Jaune saw that he was in the sky, and flying with him were other Wyverns, six or seven of them, but then the memory changed. He was now flying alone in the sky, looking down at the ground, and seeing humans, many humans, happy and smiling.
aune was then brought back to the fight and he looked back at Favnear with a surprised look. 'Was that... Favnear's memory?' Jaune asked himself.
Jaune pulled his sword back at jumped back to give himself some space, but Favnear charged his Aura into his own sword, and he swung upright and a black Arcus Mortis Shot toward the young knight.
Jaune quickly charged up his own and shot it toward Favnears, black and white collided and a large explosion took place, and when the smoke began to clear, the two stared each other down.
Another flash of a memory that wasn't his struck Jaune, and in this one, he was perched atop a mountain and he saw other Grimm like Beowulfs and Goliaths travel together, they even seemed to be... happy? Somehow despite everything he was told about the Grimm, everything humanity thought of the Grimm disappeared when Jaune not only saw the Grimm act happy, but he could actually feel the happiness and joy from the other Grimm, but what Jaune felt was... isolation.
Jaune's eyes once again widened with shock as he looked at Favnear, and had come to realize that this was really a memory of Favnear.
A sad memory.
Favnear looked at Jaune with a questioning look, "What are you so stunned for Jaune?" Favnear asked him.
Jaune was taken out of his shock and he looked at Favnear, but not with a rageful one, but a sad one.
"Nothing," Jaune told him.
Outside of the young man's soul, Qrow backed away from an attack of the grimmified students, who now had a much more monstrous appearance as now the mask had fully covered Jaune's face and Grimm bone covered his chest, back, and forearms, the black veins still spreading up his arms, and the wings still attached to his back.
Worse, he seemed to have an infinite amount of stamina and Aura, as he didn't weaken, but the same could not be said for the famous Huntsmen across from him, who was slowly losing breath and beginning to tire.
Qrow let out ragged breaths and sweat poured down his head, "D-Damn kid... I haven't had this much of a workout since my vacation to Vacuo," Qrow began, "Lovely ladies there by the way, should go back there soon," Qrow said.
The Grimmified Jaune roared and a mix of black and white aura was pushed into the blade, and he then let out another black and white Arcus Mortis, but Qrow quickly jumped over the attack and charged up his Aura into Betty's sword and released his own Arcust Mortis, but the young student didn't dodge or block, he simply stood there as the attack approached.
"What the hell is it thinking!?" Arslan cried with a worried tone as she watched the fight.
Sun gripped his hands and prepared to block the attack just to save his friend from being hurt despite him being in a very violent state.
Instead, when the attack closed in, Jaune held out his hand and stopped that attack, shocking all of them that the Grimm possessed the strength to stop such a powerful attack knight was able to stop such a powerful attack.
Back with the other adults, Betty couldn't help but smile as she watched the fight. "Despite it being in a feral state, it appears to still be fighting with a level of intelligence," Betty said.
"What happens if this doesn't work?" Glynda asked.
"It'll work," Betty stated, "By grandson doesn't give up and this won't stop him, I'm sure he's fighting with everything he's got,"
Back with the fight Qrow tried to get in close and managed to slash the possessed boy across the chest and then kicked him in the stomach, sending the teen back, but it quickly blasted a Kuro at the older man, however, Qrow managed to block the attack, but it exploded and sent the huntsman back and crashing into a tree.
Qrow got back up and glared at the possessed student, "Damn... this kid's just getting strong by the minute," Qrow said with a groan. He then looked back at Winter, "Hey Ice-Queen! I need a break, so you're up!"
Qrow threw Betty's sword back to her and she caught it with ease, and Winter jumped down from her tree and now faced the possessed Jaune with a blank and unamused expression.
"That drunkard showed you what he could do and I'm sure your unimpressed, but now you'll see what a Schnee can do!" Winter proclaimed and unsheathed her own sword and pointed it at Jaune.
appearing all around him were glyphs and ice shards began to form, and all of them were aimed at Jaune.
The possessed teen roared as the ice shards shot toward him, but he managed to jump up high into the air and fly away from the attack, and he then flew back down with blinding speed toward Jaune, but Winter turned her sword toward Jaune's direction and black Glyphs formed in front of him and he began to slow down, and eventually, when he froze in front of Winter, she quickly propelled him back up into the air with the same glyphs.
Betty chuckled, "I remember when her grandfather used that same trick on me, nearly shot through Atlas!" Betty cried with a haughty laugh.
Back in the sky, Jaune looked down with a glare and then pushed his aura into his blade, but now, the white was gone, replaced with red. The attack charged more and the young man unleashed the attack, creating a very large Arcus Mortis that flew straight down toward Winter.
Winter created a large Glyph to block the attack, but it was useless as the Arcus Mortis cut the Glyph in half, shocking the oldest Schnee child, and she quickly dodged the attack, but she failed to notice the Grimm teen appearing behind her and grabbed her by the back of the head and through her forward, sending Winter toward a tree, but she quickly used her Glyphs to slow her down, and she safely got back to her feet and turned back to Jaune with a glare.
She quickly created more Glyphs, but these ones were summoning Glyphs, and coming out of them were small light blue Nevermores, which began to swarm and peck at Jaune, and the feral teen swatted and tried to attack all of the Nevermores. This gave Winter the opportunity to summon a much larger Grimm, a Manticore, which she quickly ordered to charge at Jaune and, it did so, and once it was close in, the Nevermoes flew away and the Manticore used its front legs to push Jaune and sent him flying back, and sending him through a few trees.
Winter smiled in the direction the boy was thrown, "Had enough?" she asked with a smirk.
A loud roar came from the forest and a black and red ball shot toward Winter, and she quickly formed a Glyph to shield her from the attack, but once it struck the glyph and exploded and shattered the Glyph itself, sending Winter skitting back with her heels dug into the dirt.
Winter looked back forward and saw the young man slowly sauntering toward her.
Betty chuckled, "Not so easy now is it?" Betty asked.
Winter turned to her and looked at her with a glare, "Why not come down and fight? Let's see if the legendary Black Betty still has some fight in her, eh?" Winter said.
Betty smiled and then began to laugh loudly, the laugh was full of cheerfulness and joy that even the Grimmified Jaune turned to her, confused.
Betty stopped laughing and then looked at Winter with a cheeky smile, "You make me laugh, little girl," Betty said, "You and Qrow underestimated him because of his lack of skill and power compared to your and Qrow's, even when he was in his base state, but when you have difficulty with fighting him, you act surprised as if this thing wouldn't fight for its very life, you made a mistake, and now you're going to pay for it," Betty said.
Winter grits her teeth and turned back to Jaune and created a black glyph, which pulled Jaune toward her before she quickly made it disappear and then spun and kicked the young Arc in the face, sending him back, but he backflipped and stopped himself and glared at Winter.
Winter used her hand to gesture for him to bring it, and the Grimm Jaune roared in anger and prepared to attack her.

Back inside the young Knight, Jaune's own aura was broken leaving him vulnerable to any attack Favnear gave him.
Favnear slashed at Jaune but Jaune managed to block it with his sword, the two were blade locked and the blonde was hit with another flashback that depicted Favnear's life before they became connected. In it, he saw Favnear slowly learn about humans from the sky or from a mountain he perched himself on, looking down at their cities or small villages, he also saw how they loved one another, and how happy they seemed to be in another presence and from that, he began to feel a familiar sensation.
Loneliness and that loneliness turned to hatred and anger at how happy humans and even other Grimm appeared to be with each other, while he was alone.
Jaune was taken out of the flashback and quickly pushed Favnears blade away and quickly backed away, trying to come up with a plan.
"Tell me Jaune, can you get rid of your anger and hatred?" Favnear asked, "Two foul emotions that make you human?
Jaune looked at him and thought about it, "Can I get rid of what makes me human?" Jaune asked again.
Favnear jabbed at Jaune, but he blocked it with his shield, but Favnear pulled his sword back and grabbed onto Jaune's shield and pulled it away from him, and threw it away. Jaune then quickly tried to stab Favnear, but he sidestepped the attack and then kneed Jaune in the stomach and Jaune stumbled backward.
As he stumbled backward, Jaune was once again struck with another memory, but this one wasn't about Favnear's past, but something current. He saw Favnear seemingly watching his own memories, every memory that the young knight had in his head.
He saw Jaune's first time wearing a dress, his first time reading a book, his grandfather's stories, his younger sister's births, every birthday he had, every present that brought him joy, and the vacations to Mistral.
Jaune was taken out of the memory as Favnear appeared behind him and elbowed him in the back, causing the teen to stumble forward in pain.
Jaune flashed back and he could feel the envy that Favnear felt, he felt how Favnear envied his life and family, envied how happy Jaune was, but he envied the bonds he made with his friends.
He could feel the love that Jaune had for the people in his life, how much Jaune cared for them and the desire to protect them, how much he loved Velvet, Coco, Reese, and Arslan, and he wanted that love.
'Can I... get rid of my anger and hatred?' Jaune asked himself as he continued to watch the flashback.
Jaune was taken out of the flashback and then he turned back to Favnear ready to strike but when he turned around he felt a sharp pain in his chest and his eyes widened in shock and disbelief. His eyes looked into Favnear's before they lowered and he saw Favnear's black Crocea Mors stabbed into his chest.
Favnear's face was now expressionless, "And here I was, beginning to like you... Jaune Arc"
Favnear began to pull out his Crocea Mors, but to Jaune, it felt like an eternity, and the times about Favnear began to play in his mind.
The first time he heard his voice and felt his presence.
Jaune had no idea where he was, all he could see was darkness, but worst of all, he felt as if he was sinking. Sinking deep down into the dark abyss.
"W-Where am I?" Jaune asked himself "Am... Am I dead?" Jaune asked himself
"YOUR LIFE..."
Jaune was shocked when he heard the deep and growling voice, he looked around for the source of it in the surrounding darkness, "Hello?" Jaune asked, "Who's there?"
"YOUR LIFE... YOUR FRIENDS... YOUR FAMILY... I WANT IT!"
Jaune looked around in the darkness for the voice but he still could not find it. "Where are you!? W-Who are you!?" Jaune asked as he still continued to look around, though this time, he felt sacred.
"I WANT IT! JAUNE ARC!"
Jaune finally realized where the voice was coming from, and he looked down into the abyss of the darkness. Suddenly, rising out of the darkness was the head of the Dragon Grimm and Jaune could tell that its eyes stared at him, Jaune was horrified as he stared back at the Grimm.
"Wh-Who Are You!?" Jaune cried
The Dragon Grimm opened its mouth widely, showing off its rows of fangs and just how wide big its mouth was.
"I... AM... FAVNEAR!"
Favnear telling him about the Muta Grimm approaching Alnwick
"I SMELL THEM..."
Jaune eye's widened as he was startled and he looked around, wondering where the voice had come from.
"TROUBLE... APPROACHING,"
When he fought Treygen.
"YOU FOOL..."
'H-Huh?' Jaune asked
"YOU DAMN WEAK FOOL! ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO LET HIM TAKE US AWAY!?"
'Who... Who said that...?' Jaune asked again
"HOW DARE YOU SIT THERE AND DO NOTHING YOU DAMN WEAK FOOL! STAND UP AND KILL HIM! STAND UP RIP HIM APART! DON'T LET HIM TAKE US AWAY FROM THEEEEEEMMMM! STOOOOOP HIIIIIIM!"
Suddenly, something in Jaune snapped and he felt as if the ground beneath him crumbled and he fell, though it didn't feel like he fell, it was as if he was falling into a pool, and everything went black...
He began to recall memories of Favnear when he took over Jaune's body.
"What do I want?" Favnear asked, "I want Jaune's life, I want his friends, and I want his family," Favnear said
"No! I-I wOn'T lEt yoU tAKe aWaY wHaT I'vE aLwAyS wAnTeD!" Favenar cried his voice once again a mix of Jaune and his own, "I...! I WoN't LeT HaRm mY FrIeNdS!". Favnear/Jaune held their head as if in pain and roared.
Arslan quickly moved to Jaune and looked at him with pleading eyes, "Jaune! you have to fight him please!" Arslan begged "D-Don't become a monster! Don't let him turn you into one!" Arslan cried
"I-I WoN't lEt YoU tUrN mE iNtO A mOnStEr!" Jaune/Favnear cried, "YoU DOn't uNdErStAnD yOu fOoL! I DoN't WaNt To tUrN hIm iNtO a MoNsTeR!" Favnear/Jaune cried.
Arslan's eyes widened a little but looked at Favnear confused, "What do you mean?" She asked
Favenar/Jaune looked at Arslan, "Do you have any idea what it's like to be the last of your kind and be alone for so long?" Favnear asked
Suddenly, a realization struck Jaune, he realized what Favnear wanted and why he asked his question
Favnear continued to pull his blade out of Jaune's chest but then he felt a tight grip around his wrist, and Favnear's eyes widened, and looked to see Jaune's hand wrapped around his wrist.
"I... I understand you," Jaune muttered.
Favnear looked in horror as Jaune uttered those words, "What?" Favnear asked.
"I Understand you... Favnear" Jaune repeated himself, "I never thought a Grimm like you could feel such loneliness... we- I was taught that you and others like you were emotionless and evil, but it seems we were all wrong... you don't hate humans because you just hate us... but because you are alone in this world and when you saw human connection... even connections amongst other Grimm, you felt alone and afraid, and your fear turned into hatred against the very thing you wanted in this world," Jaune said as he spat out blood.
Favnear began to feel afraid again and he tried to back up but Jaune's hand around Favnear's writs kept Favnear in place.
"And your right, I can't kill you because you are me!" Jaune declared.
Jaune then pushed the blade deeper into his chest as Favnear still held the blade, and the dragon Grimm was in shock at what Jaune was doing, not knowing why Jaune was doing this.
"You're my Hatred! My Anger! Every bad emotion I might feel!" Jaune said as he brought Favnear closer as the Blade plunged deeper into his stomach "You told me that it was impossible to get rid of those emotions! And Yeah, that's true because they are forever a part of me so instead of trying to get rid of something that will forever be a part of me! I'll accept it! LIKE I'LL ACCEPT YOU!"
Jaune then finally plunged the blade all the way in and brought Favnear close and when he was close enough, Jaune wrapped his arm around Favnears neck and held him tightly.
Bringing him into a hug.
"You can have everything you wanted Favnear!" Jaune cried. "Together!"
Favnear's eyes widened with shock as for once, in his entire life, he felt warm. He let go of the blade and broke the hug and he stepped backward, and as he did, Beacon and its landscape began to rebuild itself, the blade in Jaune's chest disappeared and the wound began to heal.
Favear looked at the boy with a soft expression, "Listen to me... Jaune Arc" Favnear began, "You and I are stuck together until you die and I don't intend to die so easily... So I will help you because you promised me what I wanted, so ask me for my help and I will lend you my power... I got everything riding on you... partner!" Favnear said with a large grin.
Jaune couldn't help but grin back at Favnear nodded. "You got it!"
With those final words, Favnear smiled softly as he looked back at Jaune and the world began to fade into white, but Jaune glowed a beautiful silver color and Favnear wasn't afraid of that color... in fact, he felt much better as it glowed.
'You really are, quite a ray of hope... Jaune...' Favnear thought as the world finally went white.
In the outside world, Winter was now worse for wear, her hair was now loose and she seemed to be letting out ragged breaths, she turned to Jaune, who was looking much more grimmified than before.
"His strength, stamina, speed, and recovery are incredible... that ball of energy can bypass Aura and even semblances, it's pure destructive energy, and if mixed with that Arcus Mortis of his, he can cut through almost anything, and it seems that with both his and the Grimm's aura mixed, it's like they have an unlimited supply of it..." Winter analyzed aloud to herself, "Truely... a foe that is not to be taken lightly," Winter said.
In the trees, Shion watched with a bit of worry and they turned to Ozpin and Betty, "He's becoming more Grimm by the minute, He's beginning to lose in his own world," they told the two.
"Shion is right, this isn't working," Ironwood said.
Glynda looked worried for her student and she turned to Ozpin and Betty, however, the two appeared to be unfazed much to her shock.
Back down in the crater, Jaune looked at Winter and raised his hand toward her, and a black and Red Kuro began to swirl and grow bigger and bigger much to Winter's shock.
'Damn it! I have to try and end this now!' Winter told herself.
Underneath her, a glyph began to form, it was the time dilation glyph, but behind her, many other Glyphs formed and created ice spikes all aimed at Jaune.
'Attack him as fast as I can with time dilation and before I freeze up get behind him, and once I'm behind him, unleash a barrage of the Ice spikes!' Winter cried.
But something unexpected happened, the burst and disappeared right in front of Jaune and then he began to back away and clutched his head.
Winter and everyone else looked confused and surprised by what was going on with the young man in his Grimm state, suddenly, Jaune began to scream in pain as he looked up to the sky.
"What the hell's going on!?" Coco cried
Velvet was also stunned at what she was seeing, "Jaune..." she muttered.
Finally, white aura began to surround Jaune and the black and red also began to fade away as Jaune continued to scream before suddenly, a burst of white aura surrounded Jaune and blinded everyone due to the glow, but the light faded and the screaming stopped and when they all looked back, they saw Jaune standing still, frozen almost.
Ozpin smiled softly and Betty chuckled.
"It appears everything has worked itself out," Ozpin said.
Betty nodded in agreement, as she looked down at her grandson, "I told you he could do it," Betty said.
The Grimm bone that covered Jaune's face and other parts of his body slipped off and began to shatter and fade as Grimm bone did, and all of Jaune's features returned to normal, and he still stood there, but then he looked up toward the sky with a smile on his face.
"SUN!" Jaune yelled.
Sun was a bit stunned to hear Jaune's voice for a bit but disappeared and then appeared in front of Jaune, and he looked at his friend with a smile, "Yeah?" Sun asked back.
Jaune looked toward him, still smiling but looking very tired. "How is everyone? Is everyone ok?" Jaune asked.
Sun continued to smile and then chuckled and nodded his head, "Yeah!" he replied.
Jaune continued to smile, "I didn't do anything weird did I? Like bite someone's head off? Right?" Jaune asked.
"Nope," Sun replied, popping the P.
Jaune then fell forward but Sun swiftly caught him everyone came down and looked at Jaune's tired form, and yet he still smiled.
Ozpin looked at the blonde knight, "Did you do it, Mr. Arc?"
Jaune looked at the headmaster and shook his head, "I didn't get rid of him... but he and I came to an agreement," Jaune said with a chuckle.
Ozpin smiled and nodded.
Jaune then looked at everyone, "Do you guys mind if I sleep for a while? I feel like I... just got hit by Merlot's Mech again," Jaune said with a chuckle.
Betty looked at her Grandson and nodded, "You can sleep, sweetie," She told him, "Sleep for as long as you want... you had a long day,"
And with that, Jaune eyes shut and he drifted off to sleep.
Qrow groaned as did Winter.
"That kid had a long day? What about me?" Qrow asked, "Kid almost gave me a heart attack from that workout,"
Winter rubbed her head and rolled her shoulders, "No amount of training that Atlas gave me prepared me for that," Winter said, "But it seems more training is in order if I want to grow stronger," Winter said.
Betty looked at her and smiled, "That's what I like to hear, brat," Betty said, "Unlike that one, you actually want to keep getting stronger," Betty said and pointed at Qrow.
"Hey, I still train," Qrow replied.
Betty ignored him and looked at Winter, "Maybe there's hope for you yet, and just maybe... you'll surpass your grandfather,"
Winter looked a little shocked to hear that, but it meant a lot to her, "I-... thank you," Winter said with a smile.
Betty smiled back and turned back to Jaune, who was being carried by Yatsuhashi on his back, and his friends followed and hurdled around him smiling and thanking the gods he was alright. Betty smiled at him and his friends with a soft expression.
"Your gonna be an amazing Huntsman, Jaune," Betty said, "Just like your grandfather said,"
