The Breeding Center Secret
As our heroes take a break from their journey, Todd, their photographer friend, decides to take a few Pokémon pictures.
It's a beautiful day today in the city. Brock and Pikachu was sitting down next to Misty as Misty was trying to have Togepi look at Todd's camera. Jovan stood in between Ash and Dragonair as Seth and Slade sat next to Brock while, Anna, July and Eevee sat next to Misty.
"Come on, turn around, Togepi." Misty said playfully.
"Pii!"
"Now don't be shy. Turn and say "Togepi"."
Togei hops around once on her lap and looks at the camera. "Togepi!"
The shutter went off. "Great." Todd smiled, lowering his camera. "That was a cool shot."
"Now a Pokémon weather update."
The trainers turned their attention to the screen.
"Our area will remain clear and sunny today with highs in the upper seventies."
"She's not wrong about that." Jovan smiled. "The weather feels nice today."
"It's a great day to take pictures." Todd said.
After the weather forecast was done, an ad showed up on the screen. A woman with gold hair and pink upside down triangle earrings appeared on the screen. She was wearing a white coat with a purple shirt underneath. "Pokémon Love Power! Find it at our five-star breeding center where every Pokémon is treated like a loved one. This little one evolved into a Charmeleon then a Charizard in a few short days. At the five-star breeding center, a little pampering is a long way. Let out experts provide your Pokémon with our love and care. So why not go through the fuss and bring your Pokémon to us?" she explains with a smile.
"What's that?" Ash wondered.
"It seems to me that somebody opened up a new breeding center." Seth said.
"Breeding Center?" Ash looks at his friends.
"It's the newest thing." Todd explains. "Breeding Centers raise Pokémon for kids. It's like a Pokémon Spa."
"A really excellent breeding center can even help your Pokémon evolve." Misty added.
"I think we should check this place out." Jovan suggested.
By the time everyone arrived outside of the breeding center, there was a huge crowd.
"Wow." Jovan said, looking at the crowd.
Brock took a couple steps forward to take a look the woman.
"And you know why we're so popular?" she asks a little boy, picking up his Sandshrew. "It's because we feel that every Pokémon is lovable. We believe in Pokémon Love Power!"
"Love Power!" a man with green hair smiled.
"Love power..." Brock muttered.
"That woman really knows how to attract customers." Todd said.
"Yeah." Misty stares at the breeding center with curious.
They all went inside and had to wait for nearly fifteen minutes since there were many trainers with their own Pokémon. After the next trainer was done, it was Misty's turn. "I have a Pokémon too!"
"Well you're in the right place." the woman said.
"So what do I have to check my Pokémon in here?" Misty asks her.
"You're going to give it a try?" Jovan asked.
"Yep."
"Which one will you leave here, Misty?" Jovan asks her.
"Not your Staryu." Todd said.
"Togepi is too young to be here." Seth said.
"My Psyduck!" Misty exclaims. She picks up Psyduck and set it down on the table. "I want to leave my Psyduck here with you."
"It's so cute, don't you just adore those eyes?" the woman looks at Psyduck's eyes. "They're bright and bouncy as ping pong balls."
"If I only I had paddle." Misty lowered her voice.
"So, is there anything special you'd like us to do?"
"Well, for starters, you might try knocking some sense into its big empty head. There's a lot of empty space in here." Misty rubs its head.
"Hm." the woman inspects Psyduck and looks at them. "That's strange. It looks intelligent to me."
Jovan's eyes were shocked.
"And you had to change its clueless looking face." Misty said.
"That would take a miracle." Ash said.
"Funny you should say that. Our motto here at the breeding center is "A little Pokémon love power works miracles"." She puts a number twelve around the duck's neck and places it on a conveyor belt.
"See you later, Psyduck." Ash said.
"Good luck, Psyduck." Misty said as she watched.
"Psy." Psyduck said as it went through the conveyor belt.
Everyone left the breeding center.
"I bet Psyduck will prove that place is any good." Misty said.
"Or you'll just leave Psyduck there and never come back for it." Ash said.
"No way. I never leave Pysuck like that." Misty turns around to at Ash.
"I think Psyduck has some good points." Ash said. "Want me to take it off your hands?"
"I caught Psyduck and I plan to keep it, even if its still annoying if I get it back." Misty said.
Todd notices a restaurant he was about to walk by. "That looks tasty." His friends walks back to him.
"It's a restaurant." Seth said.
"We should have some lunch here." Anna smiled.
"They have a poster here too. Says "All you can for free"." Jovan read the poster.
"I'm going straight to the dessert bar!" Misty exclaims happily.
"It can't really be free, can it?" Ash wondered.
"There's gotta be a catch to this. For example, you have to order ten dinners to get one free." Todd explains.
"I'd eat ten dinners if it came with ten desserts." Misty said.
The door opens behind Ash, causing the raven-haired trainer to turn around to see a chef.
"Ha ha!" the chef laughed. "No need to eat that much, unless you really want to. The buffet is free on one condition."
"What's the condition?" everyone asked.
"Well, show me my favorite Pokémon and I'll treat you all the food you can eat, plus all the desserts you can eat too!" the chef answered.
"Yeah!" Ash smiled.
"I do hope one of us has your favorite Pokémon!" Anna smiled.
"Ok, come on out, everyone!" Ash throws three Poké Balls and Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Pidgeotto appeared.
"Hm." the chef said, looking at the three Pokémon.
The trainers smiled and chuckled.
"None of these." the chef spoke.
"Well, how about Pikachu?" Ash picking up his Pikachu and showing the chef.
"Pikachu." Pikachu waves his paw at the chef.
"I'm afraid not." the chef said.
"Maybe your favorite Pokémon is Onix, Geodude, Zubat, or my Vulpix!" Brock smiled, showing his Pokémon.
The chef shook his head.
"How about my Goldeen, Staryu, Starmie, Horsea, or maybe my Togepi?" Misty asked him.
The chef shook his head.
"What about Dragonair and Arcanine?" Jovan asked, throwing a Poké Ball and Arcanine appeared.
"I'm afraid not."
"How about my Eevee, Chan, Slyther, and Nido?" July shows her Pokémon.
The chef shakes his head again.
"Maybe it's Lee, Rose, Wag or Seel." Anna shows her Pokémon to the chef.
The chef shakes his head once again.
"Here's my Raticate, Sandslew or Doduo." Seth showed his Pokémon.
"None of them is my favorite." the chef said.
The trainers gasps and looks at each other.
"That's all the Pokémon we have." Misty said.
"Is there a Pokémon we haven't caught yet?" Jovan wondered.
"My favorite Pokémon is this one." the chef said, taking out a picture and shows it to them.
"What? Psyduck?" they all gasped.
He hands the picture to Misty.
"You're a Psyduck fan." Seth looks at the chef.
"That must be a picture of mine that I took." Todd examines the picture.
"I think Psyduck is the greatest thing since the invention of the microwave oven." the chef explains. "Whenever a customer bring a Psyduck, I would let them eat for free."
"Sir." Misty walks up to him. "If we come back in a couple of minutes, will you still be here?"
"Yes I will. I'm waiting here for a delivery of fifty gallons of ice cream."
"Yay, yay, yay!" Misty cheered. "Be back in a flash!"
The chef watches them run off.
"That's typical." Misty said. "It figures when Psyduck isn't around the one time I need it."
"It was your idea to leave it at the center, Misty." Jovan pointed out.
They made it to the breeding center. When they arrived in front of the building, the doors was closed with a sign hanging.
"It's already closed." Seth looks at the sign. "Maybe we should come back tomorrow."
"Looks like you won't get that free buffet today, Misty." Todd looks at Misty.
"No way!" Misty yelled angrily. "I'm getting into that dessert bar now! There might not be anymore left tomorrow! Let's go see if there's a backway." She stomps away angrily into an alley way. The red-haired trainer found a green door and began to knock on it a few times. "Hello, is anybody there?! I need to get the Pokémon I left here! Please open the door so I can get back to that dessert buffet!" She grabs the silver nob and turns it, opening the door. "The door's unlocked." Misty said to them before sticking her head inside. "Hello, is there anybody here who can get my Pokémon?"
They all went inside. There was no one there. The hallway empty as they all walk through the hallway.
"There's no one here." Jovan said.
Misty opens a door that was close to them. "Is there anybody here who can help us?!" Misty calls out in the dark room. There was no answer. "It's so dark in here I can't see."
"I got a light." Brock said, taking out a flashlight.
The trainers step inside the dark room. There were many cages in the room. When the light was shown inside the cages, they noticed the Pokémon.
"What's going on here?" Misty wonders worriedly.
"It's the Pokémon." Brock looks at the cages.
"This doesn't look like a grand luxury hotel." Jovan said.
"This is cruel. These Pokémon have been stuffed in these cages." Todd said, looking at a Sandshrew.
"Pika." Pikachu agreed.
"These Pokémon doesn't look like they want to smile for the camera."
Brock, Seth and Slade walks over to a cage. Brock kneels down and shines the light in the cage to see Psyduck.
"Misty, your Psyduck is over here." Seth calls Misty softly.
Misty and the others walks up to the three boys and looks past his shoulder. "I have to say, it looks a little smarter when I dropped it off." Misty said, taking a closer look at it.
"It's not." Seth said. "The eyes has been pulled back by tape."
"That's terrible!" Misty gasps. She peels the tape off of Psyduck.
They heard a noise. Jovan watched a cage being moved by a crane. The crane sets cage down on a conveyor belt as the trainers followed and watch the cage goes into another room.
"Any idea where that leads?" Jovan wondered.
The cage stops in front of the woman while the man was reading the cage's information on a clipboard.
"The next one is a Sandshrew." the man read the information.
"It's in pretty good shape." the woman bent down to look at it. "It'll be useful once we teach it how to use Fury Swipes."
"There's so many Pokémon piled up here in this dump." the man looks at the cages behind them.
"Yeah." the woman agreed. "It just goes to show that a lot of Pokémon trainers are suckers. Now all we have to do is to pick the top choice Pokémon and ship'em to the boss."
"We'll be bosses' absolute favorite." the man smiled.
"And we'll be in for a big bonus."
"This breeding center scam was a great idea."
"We believe in love power that's because we love power." the two of them said together and started laughing.
Back in the other room, the trainers were listening to the conversation.
"This whole thing is a fake." Jovan lowered his voice.
"We have to stop them somehow." Anna said.
"They can't treat the Pokémon like this." Brock said.
"I got an idea, everyone." Todd said. "I'll start taking pictures of this place so that way everyone can see the real truth about this place."
"I like your thinking." Anna smiled.
In the next room, the tv screen behind those two turned on and on the screen were the same two men. But the second man was standing this time.
"Tell us, how is the breeding center scam going, you two?" the first man asked, rubbing his Persian.
"Excellent." the woman said as the two turns around to face them. "We collected very promising Pokémon as planned."
"Excellent. Send them to me immediately. I want to keep the choice ones for ourselves." the first man said.
"As you wish."
"We should congratulate you for creating this splendid work for us, unlike those idiots."
"We're only doing our job." the woman smiled. "I don't how you can put up with Jessie, James, Libby, Sam and Justin."
"They are completely unreliable. It's a good thing we didn't mention about this plan or they would've screwed everything up. Cassidy, Butch, we are counting on you two."
"We won't let you down." Cassidy said.
Then the video screen turned off.
Todd began taking pictures of the entire place. He took a photo of Poliwhirl and Pidgeotto.
"Todd, take a picture of that too." Misty pointed at the conveyer belt.
"Ok." Todd nodded. He took the picture and the flash went off.
Butch notices a little light from behind the curtains. "Huh?"
"What is it, Butch?" Cassidy asks him.
"I thought I saw something back there." Butch answered. "It looks like a flash." He walks out of the room. "I better go check it out."
The trainers started quickly to hide. Anna grabs Jovan's hand and pulls him behind a couple of cages. She fell backwards and Jovan used his free hand to save her head from hitting the ground.
Butch enters the room and sees no one there. He notices the light was coming from a cage and walks up to it. There was a Pikachu inside the cage. "The light only came from this Pikachu." Butch smiled. He walks away from the cage and left the room.
Ash, Brock, Misty and Todd steps out from behind the cages as Pikachu steps out of the cage. July, Seth, Slade, Vul and Eevee came out from behind the other cages.
"You pulled it off Pikachu." Ash smiled at his friend.
"Where's Jovan and Anna?" Seth wondered.
"Nair." Dragonair pointed her tail behind the cage she was laying on.
July and Seth walks behind the cage to see Jovan laying on top of Anna.
"Come on you two, you can confess your feelings to each other later." July urges them.
"It's not what it looks like." Anna said, her face blushing.
"I got all the shots I need." Todd said to Brock.
"Good." Brock turns around to face him. "We got to get out of here quick."
"No, not yet." Misty said, looking over her shoulder. "I can't leave Psyduck here." She tried pulling the cage open.
"What's wrong?" Ash asked her.
"The cage is locked." Misty answered. "I just can't leave Psyduck in this awful place."
"Psyduck."
Then they heard the window began to rustle.
"What's that?" Ash wondered.
They all quickly hide behind the cages. The window opens and several people came through the window.
"Don't make a sound." Libby whispered as they tiptoed.
"Got it." Justin nodded his head.
"This is so..." James was trying to see through the dark. "Exciting!"
Meowth hits him in the head with a wooden mallet. "Keep it down, James Bond."
"Breaking into this breeding center is a burglars dream." Jessie looks at the cages.
"Meowth and I told all of you that this place will be packed with Pokémon."
"We're going to steal every last one of them." Jessie smiled at him.
"This will help all of us to get back on our bosses' good side." Justin added.
"But we've never been on their good side." James said. He gots up from the floor and began to pick the lock with a paper clip. "Almost got it..."
"All the Pokémon we could ever want." Meowth smiled.
"Hey." Ash called right behind them.
"AHH!" they yelled in a startled panic, and they all turn around and looks up to the trainers.
"What are you all doing here?" Todd asks them.
"I'd ask that very same question to you too!" Meowth shouted.
"Keep it down, Meowth." Jovan lowered his voice to him.
"How did you all get in here anyway?" Jessie asked.
"Have you all decided to be bad guys?" Justin smiled.
"This is our territory, so beat it." Libby snarled.
"I knew it all along we couldn't trust you!"
"Oh shut up!" Jovan exclaims with his voice lowered.
"All of you are in way over your head." Anna said.
"We need to get all these Pokémon out of here fast, or we'll find ourselves in trouble." Seth said.
"Do you really think we're going to help you steal all these Pokémon just to keep them for yourselves?" Libby questions them.
"Believe what you want." Misty said.
The lights turned on, causing them all to noticed.
"I knew something was rotten back here and I was right." Cassidy spoke, getting their attention. "Looks like rats had crawled their way in here."
"What should we do?" Butch smirked.
"We'll exterminate them." Cassidy answered.
"We're not afraid of creeps like you." Jovan said.
"You don't know who you're dealing with." Cassidy said.
"But we'll be glad to tell you." Butch smiled.
"Prepare for trouble and make it double." they both said, taking off their white coats to reveal themselves.
"To infect the world with devastation!"
"To blight all people in every nation!"
"To denounce the goodness of truth and love!"
"To extend our wrath to the stars above!"
"Cassidy!"
"And Butch, of course!"
"We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and night."
"Surrender to us now or you will surely lose the fight!"
"That's right!"
"Cate!" Raticate lands in front of its teammates.
Their shirts were black instead of white.
"Copycats!"
"So you belong to Team Rocket too?" James asked Cassidy.
The woman ignored his question and turns her attention to Jessie. "It's been a while, Jessie."
James crawls up to Jessie. "You know that girl?" he asks her.
"She used to hang around with me." Jessie answered. "She was jealous because I'm the beautiful one."
"Looks like you haven't change a bit, Jessie." Cassidy smirks at her.
"And you're still a selfish little brat! How dare you steal our motto?!" Jessie fired back.
"It took us six months to come up with that!" Meowth exclaims. "Go find your own motto!"
"Make up your own slogan!"
"Save your excuses for the two bosses when you find out you're stealing their Pokémon." Cassidy said.
"What?!" Justin gasps.
"Those two are really ticked off that they haven't heard from you. It's very insulting!" Butch added.
"Well we can't call him unless we do something right." Sam said, looking worried.
"We might get kicked off the team." Meowth said.
"We were given this mission from those two and they don't trust you. If they find out you messed this one up, I hate to think what would happen to you, but getting kicked off the team would be best." Cassidy flashes a sly smile to Jessie. "Wouldn't you agree, Jessie?"
Meowth grabs Jessie and James before bowing their heads to them.
"We will be very humble if you forget this ever happened." Meowth pleaded.
"Heh heh." Cassidy chuckled. "What's it worth to you?"
While they were talking, Ash and the others tiptoed to the door.
"Not so fast, children." Cassidy stops them as she heard Ash opens the door. "Now that you know our little secret, I'm afraid we can't let you go."
"We don't know what you're talking about!" Jovan shouted as they all started to run down the hall.
"We were just looking for the buffet!" Seth exclaims.
"You kids can't get away from us." Cassidy looks over her shoulder. "I'm no pushover like Jessie."
"Let's get out of here." Justin said to his teammates as they make a run for it.
But James stops running and was looking for something.
"What's wrong, James?" Justin asks him.
"This is the breeding center where I left my Weepinbell the other day." James answered. He kneels and opens the cage to see his Pokémon has evolved. There was a pitcher plant Pokémon with a bell-shaped body inside the cage. It has a gaping mouth with pink lips and two sharp teeth. Its semicircular eyes appear directly under its mouth and it has several dark green spots on its body. On either side of its body is a large green leaf. Covering its mouth is a leaf with a long, brown, yellow-tipped vine growing out of it.
"It evolved into a Victreebel!" James smiled. "Isn't that-"
"Bel!" it cried, chomping on his head.
"I just wished his brain evolved a lot better." Meowth grumbled as Jessie started dragging James.
Sam looks up and saw a big cage falling from the ceiling and landed on the floor to prevent them from escaping.
The trainers kept running down the hall.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu exclaims.
"There's the exit!" Ash smiled.
As they kept running down the hall, a cage fell, separating Misty, Pikachu, July, Anna and Eevee from the others.
"This isn't good!" Jovan grabs the bar.
"What do we do?!" Misty cried.
"All of you must hide now." Jovan tells her. "Go. Dragonair slipped through the window back and she will find once everything calms down."
Misty nodded her head and turns to the others. "Come on." Misty said to them as their friends watched them hide.
"Seems like the rat trap worked." Cassidy smirks as she and Butch walks up to the cage.
"You better let us out now!" Jovan sneered at them.
"What have you got there?" Butch notices Todd's camera and snatches it out of the young photographer's hands.
"That's mine!"
"It mine now." Butch chuckled. "So you won't be needing it anytime soon."
It was nighttime. There were a couple police cars and a single armored truck right outside the breeding center. Two police officers were pushing the cages right outside of the breeding center while Jenny was talking to Cassidy.
"Thank goodness you arrived, officer. I'm still shaking like a leaf. It's a good thing the security system stopped them before they can hurt the Pokémon."
"Don't worry." Jenny assures her. "We'll make sure to punish these thieves when they get to the police station. Our city is much safer now!"
"Don't listen to them, Officer Jenny! They're the criminals!" Jovan tried to convince her. "We're innocent here!"
"Speak for yourself." Meowth said.
The officers threw the two cages inside the armored truck.
"Take a look in the warehouse and you'll see!" Ash exclaimed.
"Save your stories for the stationhouse!" Jenny shouted at them before she closes the door and locks it.
"I never thought we would get turned over by our own teammates." Justin said.
"And now we're going to jail." Ash muttered.
Meanwhile, July, Anna, Pikachu and Eevee watches the police cars drive off from an alleyway. July turns around and looks up to see Dragonair landing a couple feet behind them. "Dragonair." July smiled as she walks up to her and wraps her arms around.
"We need to find a way to convince Officer Jenny that they're innocents." Anna said, causing July to turn her head.
"I got it." Misty smiled.
"So what's the plan, Misty?" July asks her.
"All we have to do is show the pictures Todd took on his camera to Officer Jenny." Misty replied.
"Sounds good to me." July smiled.
"We'll come back here tomorrow." Anna said.
After finding a hotel last night, Misty was wearing a white and blue jacket with a black cap on her head. Anna was wearing a red jacket and black sunglasses. July was wearing a simple light pink sweater with the hood up.
"Nice disguises, you two." Anna smiled.
"Thanks." July said. "And what about the Pokémon?"
"I can hide Pikachu and Togepi in my jacket and Eevee can do the same thing." Misty answered. "Dragonair can wait on the roof across the street."
"Sounds good." Anna smiled.
"And also..."
"What is it?" Anna asked.
"I bet Jovan will love to hear that you were going through his backpack last night." July smiles slyly.
"What?" Anna's face was turning a bit red.
"I saw you were going through his backpack last night. Were you going to give him a love letter or a heart shaped picture of the two of you alone with his head on your lap?"
"No!" Anna yelled as her face blushes. "I was just looking for the toothpaste in his bag!"
"Sure you were."
"It's not what it look like!"
The three girls walks inside the breeding center. Misty takes out her form. "Excuse me, I left a Psyduck here yesterday." She shows the form to Cassidy.
"I'm sorry, but we have a two-day holding policy." Cassie apologizes.
"You see, I have to take an emergency trip and I really need my Psyduck to come with me." Misty said to her as she lowered her hat.
"I understand." Cassidy nodded. She stands up and walks into the next room.
As soon as the coast is clear, Misty looks down at her jacket. "Okay, Pikachu." Pikachu jumps out of the jacket and went into the door silently. Togepi pokes out of the jacket. "Now you stay here."
Several minutes has passed by as the three girls were waiting for Pikachu. Misty was walking back and forth as July and Anna was leaning back against the counter.
"Pikachu is taking a while to find it." Misty said.
"He'll find it." July replied.
"Miss." Caisdy enters the room with Psyduck in her arms, startling the three girls.
Meanwhile, Pikachu was still looking for the camera. He checks the next room. Todd's camera was sitting on the desk. The Mouse Pokémon smiled and went over to the desk.
"I'm sorry there wasn't time to give your Psyduck a proper facial and there hasn't been much improvement." she informs Misty. "Don't you three have to leave?"
"Well we're not in a hurry that much." Misty chuckles nervously. She felt a tap on her shin and notices Pikachu with the camera. She gasps softly in relief.
"Is something wrong?"
"Nothing is wrong." July assured her.
"We got to go." Misty quickly picks up Psyduck and Pikachu. "Bye!" she called as all three girls left the breeding center with a confused look on Casidy's face.
Jovan, Seth, Slade, Libby, Sam and Justin was in a separate cell across from the others. Jessie looked annoyed as James was complimenting on his Victrebell.
"We're innocent!" Jovan was explaining to Jenny.
"Those two people set us all up!" Brock added.
"If you're trying to sympathy over, you could forget it." Jenny said as she was unconvinced. "The judge is going to throw the book at all of you Pokémon snatchers."
"You're making a mistake!" Misty bursts through the door with July, Anna, Pikachu, Togepi, Eevee and Dragonair.
The trainers walks up to Jenny.
"These people are telling the truth." Misty said, taking out several photos and shows it to Officer Jenny. "Here is the evidence."
"Oh!" Jenny smiled. "What a cute little Pikachu."
"Huh?" Misty asked confused. She looks at the photos pulled and it was a couple pictures of Pikachu, Squirtle and Goldeen. "Wrong pictures." Misty put those pictures in her bag and pulls the right pictures. "These are the pictures."
Officer Jenny gasps with a surprised look. "Oh no! That's terrible!" She took a closer look at the photos.
"That breeding center is a fake. They used it as a scheme to steal all the best Pokémon." Anna explains.
"But those two told me that the breeding center is a Pokémon Paradise."
"They lied to you." July said.
"They crammed those Pokémon in those cages." Todd added.
Dragonair nodded her head.
"Those two set us up because we found out about their plans." Jovan explains to her.
"They tricked me?" Jenny looks at him.
"When we heard about it, we wanted to stop them too." Meowth said.
"We're telling the truth, Officer. We're good people." Sam assures them.
"Oh brother." Ann shakes her head. "You broke into the breeding center to steal the Pokémon."
"I'll let you out, except these six." Jenny smiles at her. She unlock the cells for them.
"Good job." Jovan hugs his sister and looks at Anna, Misty and the other Pokémon.
Officer Jenny and her team pulls up in front of the breeding center. The trainers and Pokemon followed her through the halls and Jenny slams the door open to see Cassidy and Butch in their Team Rocket Uniforms. "So you thought you could get away with it by framing these poor kids when it was you along who was stealing Pokémon! You two are both under arrest!"
"But we're not-"
"There's no use lying to me." Jenny said as they all entered the room. "We already know everything. There's no use resisting."
"Raticate, go!" Cassidy yelled. The Poké Ball opened and Raticate appeared.
"Cate!"
"Thunderbolt, Dragonair!" Jovan ordered.
Dragonair releases the yellow electricity on Raticate. It cries out in pain and fainted.
"Raticate got fried." Cassidy takes a step back.
"Tough break." Butch said as they both started running away.
"Bulbasaur, I choose you!" Ash cried out, throwing the sphere. His Bublbasaur appeared.
"Bulba!"
"Time to use Vine Whip!"
Bulbasaur extends two dark green vines and wraps around Cassidy and Butch. Brock hands some rope over to Jenny and Jenny ties up the two crooks. Everyone exits the building and the officers threw Cassidy and Butch inside the armored truck and closed the door. They all watched the truck leave.
"Pikachu was the one who snuck into the breeding center and found the camera." Misty tells them while she was sitting in front of the police car with Pikachu.
"You're the best, Pikachu." Ash smiles at him.
"Pika!" Pikachu smiles back at him.
"You took some good pictures, Todd." Slade said to him.
"Thanks." Todd rubs the back of his head.
"All of you did a good job." Jenny approaches them. "Now we can return all the stolen Pokémon back to their trainers."
"That's good to hear." Ash said.
"Anyone hungry?"
"More ice cream!"
"You don't have to that fast!"
"Save some for the other customers."
Ash and Brock were sitting next to each other as Todd, Pikachu, Eevee and Togepi sat across from them while Misty sat at the end. Jenny and the others were sitting at counter with Psyduck and the chef.
"You don't have to worry, Misty." Jenny tells the red-haired trainer. "There's plenty of ice cream left."
"And all of it is free since you brought this cut little Psyduck." the chef rubs his cheeks.
"This ice cream is good." Anna said, taking a bite of her strawberry ice cream.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket and Team Neo were digging underground to escape. The members of Team Neo caught up to their friends.
"I am not going to wear those uniforms!" Sam complains. "We shouldn't have tried to steal from your friend, Jessie!"
"I'll show her who's the real queen!" Jessie growled.
The trainers and Todd left the city to come across two separate roads.
"So I guess you guys are going to Cinnabar Island, right?" Todd asks them.
"That's right." Jovan answered.
"Well, I'll be heading up the mountains to take some new shots on the wild Pokémon living up there." Todd explains.
"Sounds great." Brock said.
"We'll miss you." Ash smiled.
"I hope we meet again someday." Anna added.
"Hm." Todd nodded. He watches the trainers leave and wave goodbye.
And so, thanks to a few photographs, getting out of jail was snap for our heroes. As they continue their journeys, who knows what lies ahead or below.
