Looking at Luffy, the four pokemon around him couldn't help but stay still. With the help of a simple shout, Luffy stopped them and, not understanding the reason, they looked at Luffy hesitantly. They had felt a strange sensation and their instinct warned them to be careful. Feeling the same, Loke eventually felt his body stop shaking. However, that didn't stop him from staring at Luffy, trying to figure out what had just happened.
"Did Luffy's voice do this?"
Catching his breath, the pirate ran back to Slaking.
"Let's go Sanji."
Eventually shaking their faces, Misdreavus and Hattrem got back into fighting stance before attacking Luffy.
Misdreavus use SHADOW BALL.
Hattrem use MAGICAL LEAF.
Seeing Luffy backing away to avoid the attacks, Slaking eventually comes to his senses. He looked at Sanji and resumed attacking him. However, hearing a scream behind him, he turned to see Yosaku running towards him. Having taken advantage of the diversion that Luffy had created, he bypassed the combat zone before grabbing his saber. Unable to react in time, the gorilla felt his weapon slash his back, causing him to roar in pain.
Unfortunately, protected by his thick layer of muscle, he managed to avoid being fatally injured and remained standing. Enraged, he turned his face to Yosaku, who took a step back.
"He… is he still up?"
In response, Slaking's arm turns white and he uses it to punch Yosaku.
Slaking use HAMMER ARM.
Hit in the abdomen, Yosaku dropped his weapon before flying against a tree trunk. Getting stuck inside a crater formed in the bark of the trunk, he remained motionless. Slaking had defeated him in one hit.
Now that this nuisance wasn't going to bother him anymore, the gorilla focused his attention on Sanji. It was then that a kick hit his chin. The impact of the blow lifted Slaking's body, before knocking him onto his back. Having taken advantage of Yosaku's diversion, Sanji regained consciousness and, as soon as he saw Slaking's face, he didn't hesitate for a moment to hit him. His face bleeding, he caught his breath. Then, rummaging in his pockets, he took out his lighter and a cigarette.
Two seconds later, exhaling a puff of smoke, before affirming.
"We're only halfway through Grand Line... How come we're having such a hard time defeating these monsters? What are the people who dwell in Red Line like?"
In response, rising to his feet, Slaking drummed his chest, before rushing towards Sanji.
Slaking use HAMMER ARM.
Attempting to punch Sanji, he was surprised to see him simply step aside to avoid his punch.
" Slaking ? "
A moment later, Sanji's foot hit his abdomen.
" POITRINE !"
Taking a step back, Slaking then kicked his legs.
" GIGOT ! "
Falling to the ground, the gorilla received another kick, which brought him back to his feet.
" SELLE ! "
Finding himself behind Slaking, Sanji spun around like a top, before giving him a final kick.
" COTELETTE !"
Letting out a howl of pain, the pokemon hit a tree trunk, which it crossed before bumping into the bark of a second one.
" Glalie? " The pokemon wondered, seeing his comrade being beaten by Sanji.
" REGULUS PUNCH ! "
Feeling an intense glow, the pokemon ends up getting hit by Loke's fist. Flying back, the pokemon still managed to keep its eyes open. Then opening his mouth, he created a jet of ice.
Glalie use ICE BEAM.
Feeling to dodge the attack, Loke nevertheless felt his feet being touched, freezing them completely.
" WHAT ? "
Glalie use GYRO BALL.
Dashing at Loke, Glalie punched him, knocking him down onto the frozen Milky Road. Moaning in pain, Loke lay still as Glalie spun around again, attacking him again.
Glalie use GYRO BALL.
" TOKUYO ABURA BOSHI !"
A projectile hit Glalie and covered his body in oil.
" Glalie? " the pokemon wondered, stopping.
At that moment, he saw Usopp aiming at him, with his slingshot.
" KAYAKU BOSHI ! "
This time, when the projectile hit Glalie, an explosion took place. And because of the oil on his body, Glalie screamed in pain, while flames covered his body, making it look like a ball of fire. Taking advantage of his advantage, Usopp then ran towards the pokemon, with a hammer in hand.
" USOPP HAMMER ! "
Hit by Usopp's weapon, Glalie cried out before collapsing to the ground. Losing his balance, Usopp fell beside him. Immediately, he recoiled in fear, before getting up to walk away from him.
"I...I am the great Captain Usopp! Have you seen my power?"
However, the pokemon could not hear him. Indeed, remaining on the ground, Glalie seemed unconscious, while spirals could be seen instead of his eyes. Usopp had defeated him.
"Wha...? I won?"
Seeing this, Misdreamus and Hattrem couldn't help but walk away from Luffy, surprised that their two comrades had lost to the pirates. Just walking towards them, Luffy asked them.
"Where are my friends?"
Merely growling, Hattrem rushed over to punch him.
Hattrem use BRUTAL SWING.
Raising his hand, Luffy used the palm of his hand to block her attack. Then, he positioned his second fist back.
" GUM GUM ... "
Hattrem use CONFUSION.
Too close to dodge the attack, Luffy got hit and his fist hit the ground, instead of hitting the pokemon. Taking advantage, Hattrem jumped back. Flying above her, Misdreamus used " SHADOW CLAW " and used her giant claws to use Hattrem. Flying higher, the two pokemons flew to safety. However, a spear of light grazed the little ghost's body, nearly piercing her.
Returning to the battle site, with her right arm still frozen, Raynare glared at the two pokemons in anger, while creating another spear of light.
"This time, I won't miss you."
" SLAKING ! "
Suddenly a tree fell to the ground, while a silhouette pulverized its trunk. Standing again, the gorilla stared at the pirates in front of him, angrily. Deciding to pulverize them, he made his muscles swell again.
Slaking use FOCUS ENERGY.
However, using this attack for the second time, he felt his muscles aching, as blood spurted from his wounds. Gritting his teeth, he glared at Raynare, who was in front of him, before raising his arm in the air. Reacting immediately, the fallen angel turned to him, before throwing out two spears of light. Simply crossing his arms in front of his abdomen, the gorilla let the two spears crash into his forearms. Protected by his huge muscles, Raynare's spears did not scratch him.
" What ? "
Slaking use HAMMER ARM.
"Raynare, fly away." Sanji ordered her, seeing the gorilla running towards her.
However, still not wanting to show her wings, the fallen angel only jumped back, to dodge the gorilla's attack. However, no sooner had he hit the ground than the gorilla leaped toward her, head first.
Slaking use HEADBUTT.
Hit in the abdomen, Raynare spat blood as he felt the pokemon's head slam into her. This time her body hit a rock. Feeling the back of her head hit the solid surface, Raynare lost consciousness. Taking advantage, Slaking puffed out his cheeks, before creating flames.
Slaking use FIRE BLAST.
Unresponsive, the fallen angel let the attack swoop down on her. However, stepping between her and the attack, Sanji did a handstand, before spinning his legs to strike the attack.
" MOUTON SHOT ! "
Halting the attack, Sanji's legs had to endure the extreme heat of the flames.
"AHHHHHHHH!" Sanji yelled, feeling his legs charring the skin of his legs.
However, with a more powerful leg movement, he made the attack disappear, much to the pokemon's surprise.
" Slaking ? "
Having both of his legs covered in flames, Sanji glared at him, affirming.
"Any good cook must know how to master fire."
Then, he rushed towards Slaking, before aiming one of his flaming legs.
" FIRE KEBAB SHOT ! "
Hit in the face, the gorilla seemed to feel the bones of his skull melting, while his body did several backflips, before crashing to the ground. Just like Glalie, her eyes became spirals.
"And two." Confirmed the cook.
Then, lowering his gaze, to see the flames in his legs disappearing, he thought.
" These flames gave my kick a considerable amount of power. "
Seeing Slaking take a beating, the two remaining pokemon stared at each other. Then, finally, Misdreavus departed, carrying Hattrem with her. Seeing them leave, the pirates did nothing to stop them. Even if they were the weakest of the quartet, they could always tire them more and this would be a bad plan, if they had to fight the Priest as well as the god of this island.
With a pair of binoculars in her hands, Menma stood at the top of the mast, as she stared around.
"Still no enemies."
Remaining silent, Gin contented himself with nailing a plank to the hull of the Merry, in order to plug the hole that was there.
" You may have been a mighty pirate in East Blue! But you're nothing out of the ordinary here. "
Thinking back to Virgo's words, Gin couldn't help but be angry and pensive.
" Is she right? Am I weak compared to others? "
Thinking back to his battles, he noticed.
" When I was on the Grand Line, it's true that I felt powerful! I even thought that only Don Krieg could defeat me! But, since I met Luffy, I understood what the reality! There are plenty of guys stronger than me! "
Immediately thinking back to Milhawk, he eventually confessed.
"I haven't changed at all."
" Huh ? " Chopper wondered, who was behind him.
For any answer, Gin gave him the hammer, before telling him.
"Keep fixing the boat! I'm going to get some rest."
" Rest yourself ? "
Keeping silence, Gin climbed onto the Merry, before laying down on the ground. Immediately, he remembered the time when he was a pirate under Don Krieg.
" Is it because I felt powerful that I remained under his command? I was only afraid of him! And since I've been with Luffy, my life has become much more dangerous! The opponents we meet become stronger and stronger. "
Looking up at the sky, he wondered.
"Do I really belong in this crew?"
Looking at him without saying a word, Virgo finally heard a cry of pain, while Chopper had hit his finger with the hammer. By mistake, he let go of him and made him fall down the stairs of the monument. When he stopped, he was only inches from the lake where the sharks were.
" No ! GIN ! "

Then he went back to bed, leaving Chopper motionless, afraid to go get the hammer. Seeing this, Virgo asked.

Finally, waiting a few seconds, he finally heard footsteps, as Chopper cautiously descended the stairs.
"He needs to get stronger to help the crew."

Gin merely groaned, pretending to doze off, not wanting to face reality again.
Opening her eyes, Raynare created a spear of light to defeat Slaking. However, she was surprised to see Usopp, in front of her, jumping in fear, as he held bandages in his hands.
"What...?" Wondered the fallen angel.
Looking around, she noticed that she was in the Crow, with the other pirates. next to her, Yosaku had just woken up, while Sanji had several bandages on his body.
"Are you awake, Raynare?" Luffy questioned her.
"What...? Where are the pokemons?"
"The gorilla and the ice sphere have been defeated." Sanji explained to him. "And the other two fled."
"And the ice that froze the clouds?
" Luffy punched her to break her. " Loke said.
"You missed something, Raynare." Usoopp affirmed, with a conceited smile. "I defeated a pokemon alone! Worthy of the great pirate that I am."
"Don't rejoice." Sanji advised him. "Do you know how powerful these monsters are? It makes you wonder how powerful the master of this island is?"
" It's true that the gorilla almost killed you. " Yosaku remarked.
Thinking about that, Loke asked.
"Mugiwara…what did you do to stop him?"
"Huh? What do you mean? Yosaku hit him."
"No, not that! When you screamed, what did you do? The pokemons suddenly froze and looked at you in fear."
Looking surprised to hear that, Luffy nodded.
"I didn't do anything! I just yelled for the gorilla to let go of Sanji! That's it."
Hearing this, Loke simply looked at the pirate, who seemed sincere.
"What does that mean? Is it really his simple voice that scared us? No, it's impossible! There was something else, but what?"
"Hey, there's a huge giant statue in front of us." Yosaku remarked.
Indeed, everyone could see a huge statue resembling the head of a giant. And at its mouth, the Milky Road split into six different paths, passing through entrances, with signs above them.
"What is that?" Luffy asked.
"There are six entrances." Raynare remarked. "Like the number of Priests on this island."
"The ordeals." Sanji understood.
"Ordeal of swamp !" Usopp read. "Ordeal of threads ! Ordeal of flames! Ordeal of iron! Ordeal of monsters! Ordeal of balloons."
"Each entry must lead to a priest to fight." Yosaku understood. " What must we do ? "
"If we think smartly, the monster ordeal should lead us into pokemon territory." Loke affirmed. "The Priest there must control them! Let's avoid going there."
"I think the same." Usopp agreed. "If all the Pokemon on this island attack us, we're dead."
"In that case, we'll take the balloon ordeal." Luffy affirmed.
" Why ? "
"Because it's fun! Do you think we'll be given balloons?"
"You fool! The Priest over there isn't some guy dressed as a clown or a giant bunny handing out balloons to kids."
"No need to worry about such details." Retorted Raynare. "Other than the monster ordeal, we don't have a clue what awaits us behind each entrance! For once, let's listen to Luffy and see where it takes us."
Swallowing his saliva, while looking at the other entries, Yosaku affirmed.
"It's true that the ordeal of the balloons seems less dangerous than the others! Better to go there."
"YEAH ! Balloons! Balloons!"
However, stopping, Luffy cried out.
"NO! What I want isn't balloons, it's a pokemon! Onward to the Monster Crucible."
"In your dreams! We don't want to die."
Seeing Luffy's reaction, Raynare asked.
"What's wrong with him?"
"He wants a pokemon."
"Eevee is a pokemon."
"No! He wants his pokemon."
Realizing the problem, Raynare heaved a weary sigh.
"He only brings us problems and headaches."
Finally, pushing Luffy away, Loke directed the Crow towards the entrance of the Balloon Trial. But no sooner had the boat crossed the entrance than it found itself above the void, while the Milky Road stopped abruptly, to fall into the void, like a waterfall. Staying in the air for two seconds, the pirates felt their eyes leave their sockets, before the ship finally fell into the void.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Taking advantage of the huge size of the trees, Zoro's group had climbed one of them, before stepping on a branch that was above the river they wanted to cross. Reaching the foliage of another tree, they then descended from its trunk, to find themselves on the other bank.
"Yosh! Perfect." Nami affirmed.
" Half an hour to cross a river thirty meters wide. " Zoro growled. " It's a record. "
" Shut up. "
Descending from the trees, the other pirates looked around, not seeing anything different compared to what was on the other side of the river.
"I'm really starting to wonder if we'll find anything that will help us get the Merry unstuck." Johnny asserted. "The only solution I can think of is to find the lobster that got us into this situation."
"To find it, we need the help of its owner, just say Bruno! And as you know, he is the master of this island."
"Is it really a good idea to go see him?" Lucy asked.
"We have to meet him." Robin said. "Because, even if we manage to leave this island, I doubt that he will let us go without reacting."
looking around, Vivi saw a light between some trees.
"Huh?" she wondered, before ordering Carue to walk in that direction.
A few meters further, the duo ventured into a small clearing which, devoid of trees, was much brighter than inside the forest. However, there was nothing of interest except some grass.
"For an island that's supposed to have dozens of monsters, I find the place pretty quiet."
"Don't complain." Nami growled. " The shark was enough for me! I don't want to cross any others. "
"This clearing is a good place to spot us." Johnny remarked. "Apart from this place, everything is the same on this island."
"The Merry is south of our position." Bruno affirmed. "Let's try to keep going straight to avoid getting lost."
At that moment, a cry of fear was heard.
" Huh ? "
Running at full speed, a figure appeared in the clearing, while she ran at full speed, as if to flee from danger.
"A child?" Nami wondered, seeing a little girl with short hair.
Continuing to run, while screaming in fear, the child suddenly stopped, while seeing the pirates in front of her.
" That ... ? "
"Hey, what's up with you?" Lucy questioned her.
For all answer, Zoro suddenly took out his saber and looked in the direction of the child. Immediately, he saw other figures appear behind her. Four figures on the ground and one flying.
" Lucario ! "
" Makuhita ! "
" Corvisquire ! "
" Lycanroc ! "
" Exploud ! "
Seeing the five pokemons, Nami started screaming in fear, before grabbing Vivi's collar and shaking her.
"It's all your fault! Why did you have to say it was all too quiet?"
" It's not my fault. "
" They're not the ones who are dangerous. " Bruno retorted. " It's her. "
" What ? "
at that moment, another figure appeared, resembling a dragon.
" Salamence ! "
And on his back, the pirates to see Hunter-J, watching them, while smiling.
"Dear guests! Welcome to Upper Yard."
"Who are you?" Zoro asked.
"Hunter-J! The Priest of the Monster Crucible! And you are in my territory! As such, I have the right to kill you all."
smiling, while lying on a couch, Enel was eating an apple.
"I see things are starting to get interesting! Good, I'm seriously starting to get bored! At first, it's fun to play bully! But when everyone's scared of you, it's really long to wait for people to come to me hoping to fight me."
Suddenly, a female laugh sounded behind him.
"It's true that I'm bored too! Say, can I go have fun?"
Simply sneering, Enel affirmed.
"If I send you to fight these pirates, you'll kill them too fast and I won't be able to have fun! If you want to fight them, you have to wait until the number of my priests decreases! There are six of them! So, if three d 'em getting beat up, you can go fight 'em."
"Really?" the woman cheers behind him. "It's been so many years since I fought! By the way, Enel-sama, could I ask you a favor?
" Which ? "
"If Pit betrayed us, could I kill him?"
Clenching her fist, she roared.
"I hate angels! I want to kill them all! It's true that I particularly hate female angels, but I wouldn't mind killing a male angel."
