" We have arrived in the serpent's mouth. " Velvet affirmed.
"Even his mouth looks like a huge cavity." Luffy remarked.
Touching what looked like a tooth, Luffy let out a cry as he saw a purple drop running down the wall of the hard surface.
"AHHHHH! Poison."
"Don't touch his teeth, moron." The demon roared.
Then, looking ahead, she said.
"You have to make him open his mouth to be free."
"Finally." Luffy gloated. "I feel like I haven't seen sunlight in days."
"Misdre!" The specter pokemon agreed, thinking like him.
"We'd already be out if you hadn't delayed us to save that stupid kid." Velvet retorted.
"I'm not stupid." Aisa shouted, preferring to hide behind Luffy.
" We're going out. " Luffy affirmed.
Then turning to the three pokemons that were with them, he asked them.
" You come with us ? "
Far from wanting to obey him, Braviary nevertheless shook his wings, to prepare to fly away, the moment he is free. For her part, putting on a more jovial face, Misdreavus shook her head in approval. But, again, Hattrem only showed a rebellious face, while the pokemon looked away from Luffy.
Seeing this, the pirate crouched down in front of her, before questioning her.
"You still don't love me?"
" Hattrem. " The pokemon replied simply.
At that moment, Luffy's finger touched her face and dug into her swollen cheek.
" HATTREM ! " The pokemon roared, taking this gesture for a provocation.
Nevertheless, Luffy smiled at her, while declaring.
"You pokemons, I adore you! No question of leaving this island without one of you becoming my companion."
"Hattrem?"
"Why do you want one of those monsters in your crew so badly?" Velvet asked.
" It's simple. " Luffy affirmed.
Extending his smile, he declared.
"That's because we're a crew full of monsters."
Then he put his hand on Hattrem's head.
"Pokemons...they're super cool."
Again, surprise could be seen on the little pokemon's face, as Luffy gently patted her head. And if she trusted her memory, she didn't remember that Enel had been as kind as Luffy, during the last years she lived in captivity on this island.
" We'll beat Enel. " Luffy assured. "And like that, Skypiea and Upper Yard will be free and everyone can live happily again. And the pokemons of this island will also be free and you will see that they will be happy to see Enel defeated."
Hearing him, Velvet heaved a weary sigh, and preferred not to discuss further with him. Then, she twisted her arm before punching Nola's jaws.
Outside the snake, a shock sound was heard. Then another. Finally, while still unconscious, the giant snake opened his mouth and its prisoners were finally able to get out.
"FREE!" Luffy gloated.
But, looking around him, he noticed that he was no longer in the forest.
"Huh? Ruins? Where are we?"
" Considering how old this place seems to be, this is surely where the ancestors of the Shandians lived. " Velvet remarked.
"Our ancestors," Aisa repeated. "So this place is...Shandora?"
"That's so cool." Luffy affirmed, looking around. "So the city of gold is here? Great, if we find the gold, I could tell the old man of Jaya that Norland isn't..."
Suddenly he was silent.
"Mugiwara?" Velvet wondered.
Surprised, she saw him rushing at top speed in one direction. Frowning, she looked carefully at the direction he was heading, before seeing bodies on the ground.
" Some corpses ? "
"ZOROOOOOOO!" Luffy shouted, crouching down next to his friend's body. "Hey, Zoro! What happened?"
He got no response from his friend who remained unconscious. Looking around, Luffy saw other bodies that were completely charred.
"Bruno...Robin...The old knight...even the prelate..."
"Looks like a violent fight of theirs is going on here." Velvet remarked, arriving. "If I had to bet what happened... Ener won his game."
"Impossible..." Luffy retorted. "Zoro and Bruno...they can't lose to anyone."
" WIPER ! "
Having also found the body of someone she knew Aisa was crouched in front of the body of the leader of her tribe, while the man seemed to be the most injured of them all.
Also letting out a cry, Braviary gently touched Shura's injured body, which remained on the ground.
"The guy with the bazooka." Luffy recognized him.
Suddenly closing his fist, Luffy roared.
"ENEL...Where ARE YOU?"
Suddenly, a hand grabbed his leg.
" What... ? " The pirate wondered, turning around.
Breathing hard, Smoker felt drops of blood running down his lips, while his wounds were still visible. Having just regained consciousness, the colonel had easily remembered the humiliation he had just experienced fighting against Enel.
"SMOKEY?" Luffy wondered. " What are you doing here ? "
Simply gritting his teeth, Smoker had a sudden urge to vomit, as he was about to do something he deemed unacceptable. Yet he had no choice. Tashigi...Hina...Reiner...all those men...they had been exterminated by Enel and Smoker had failed to avenge them.
All he could do... was allow another person to avenge them.
"Mugiwara... Stops Enel."
"What...?" the pirate wondered.
"I feel like dying." Smoker confessed. "Just thinking about begging you, I want to kill myself! But I have no choice..."
Spitting blood again, he begged.
"Mugiwara... avenge my men."
"Hey, Smokey! Did Enel attack you? Tell me what happened."
"We don't have time." Smoker roared. "Listen...Enel, he wants to pulverize this place! He wants to destroy this whole island...and he is capable of doing it! Mugiwara...you have to stop him."
Spitting blood again, the man lowered his gaze. However, that didn't prevent seeing a transparent drop appear among the drops of blood.
"My men…he killed half my men by destroying my boat." Smoker asserted. "And I let him destroy the rest of my crew! I couldn't protect any of them."
Clenching his fist in rage, he roared.
"Begging a pirate? I'm so ashamed! But...Enel...I can't beat him."
Standing still, Luffy just stared at him. Luffy didn't hate Smoker. In truth, he respected the Colonel as much as Lucy. But no matter what Luffy might feel towards Smoker, he didn't forget that he was from the Navy. The two men were enemies, even if their hatred towards Enel was mutual. Above all, Luffy knew how ashamed Smoker must have felt asking for his help.
Finally, turning around, Luffy nodded.
"Smokey...you don't have to beg! After all, I already planned to destroy Enel! But I'm not doing it because you ask me to! If I do...it's only to protect my friends."
At this moment, another person spat blood. Being in a sorry state, Robin felt more blood pouring out of her wound in the abdomen, while the pain was so excruciating that it woke her up for a few seconds, before making her regain consciousness.
" ROBIN ! " Shouted Luffy.
Seeing her paler than usual, Luffy crouches down in front of her, before screaming.
"What happened to you? Why are you bleeding so much? Robin? ROBIN?"
He received no response from the young woman. Seeing her stay on the ground, the pirate turned to Velvet.
"Velvet...can you heal her?"
"Huh? Are you stupid or what? Angels have healing powers, not demons."
" But if we don't do anything, she'll die. " Luffy retorted. "CHOPPER! BRUNO!"
Unfortunately, even though he was screaming, the bodies of his two friends remained lying on the ground.
"Someone, please!" Luffy shouted.
Seeing him do this, Misdreavus seemed to put on a sad look. Then, suddenly seeming to have an idea, the specter flew towards Hattrem. Pretending not to be interested in what was happening around her, the pokemon was surprised to see her friend appear in front of her and start talking to her.
An argument then seemed to start between them, while Hattrem replied with a bit of anger in her voice. But Misdreavus used a louder voice to try to get her to obey.
Finally, looking unhappy, Hattrem began to think, while looking at Luffy, seeing him desperate, the pokemon showed hesitation on her face. Then she decided to walk towards him.
"Hattrem."
"Huh?" Luffy said, seeing her put a hand on Robin's body.
Hat strap use HEAL PULSE .
Immediately, the pokemon's arm lit up before doing the same with Robin's wound. Then, within seconds, the wound shrunk as the blood stopped flowing.
Finally, a few seconds later, the light disappeared, as did part of Robin's wound. Of course, she was still visible. However, it was much less important than before, and Robin had stopped wincing in pain.
"You... You healed him?" Luffy wondered.
" Hattrem. " The pokemon replied simply, again looking away from the pirate.
Nevertheless, the pokemon felt her body leave the ground, as Luffy lifted her into the air.
" THANK YOU !" he shouted. " Thanks a lot. "
For answer, the pokemon struggled to escape its grip, before finally returning to the ground. For her, she had only healed Robin because Misdreavus had asked her to. She hadn't done it for Luffy...or so she thought.
Staying behind them, Velvet eventually asks.
"Mugiwwara...what do we do?"
Regaining his seriousness, Luffy remained motionless for a few seconds. Finally, he moved his arm and hit a building which was shattered into pieces. Wearing a stoic face, while maintaining a calm voice, he declared.
" I will stop Enel. "
"And how do you want to do it?" Velvet asked. "Look at the area around us! No, look at this island! Enel...how many people has he beaten? Are you serious about defeating him? And even if so...where is he ?"
" He is down there. "
Startled, the pair looked at Aisa, who was pointing a direction with her finger. Seeming to know precisely Enel's whereabouts, she then affirmed.
"Nami onee-san is there too, along with four other people."
"Nami?" Luffy wondered. "She's with Enel."
"She's not the only one." Smoker stated, still lying on the ground. "There's also the Princess of Alabasta and other people."
"Vivi? Yosh, then I have to go save them."
"But...and who would protect the people on this island?" Aisa asked. "What if Enel comes back here to kill them all."
"Don't worry! We'll take care of it."
Walking towards them, Loke could be seen, as could several of Lucy's spirits. Carrying the unconscious blonde on his back, Loke exhibited wounds on his body, showing aftereffects of his fight against Ladydevimon.
" Lion ? "
Being with him, the other spirits carried the bodies of Gin, as well as Hina, Tashigi, Reiner, and Moda.
"For the moment, it is obvious that we will never be able to defeat Enel. " Affirmed Loke. "So, we'll take care of the people here! You can leave without fear, Mugiwara! Nothing will happen to Lucy-san and the others."
Nodding his head, Luffy declared.
" I count on you. "
However, before leaving, he grabbed a bottle that Loke had thrown at him.
"Mugiwara…did you drink the potion Capricorn gave you yesterday?"
"Yes! Besides, she gave me back all my energy, just like that of my friends."
"Haven't some of your friends been drinking it?"
"Huh…I don't think Vivi and Menma needed it! Why?"
"Look, I'm going to repeat what Capricorn told you yesterday! This potion isn't real medicine! All it does is suppress your pain, temporarily! When the sun goes down, it will stop working." "And even if you drink more of the drink, it won't affect you or anyone who's already drunk it! But if you come across a potential ally who needs it, I'm sure it will help you."

Then he started to run. But already, he saw Braviary flying beside him. Seeing him, Luffy immediately wrapped his arm around his neck, before climbing onto his back again.

"Hey, you want to avenge your friend, don't you?" Luffy questioned him. "Then take me to where Enel is."
" Bravia ... ? "
"I'm going to kick his ass." Luffy assured.
"Mugiwara, are you stupid?" Velvet roared. "Don't you understand? Beating Enel...it's impossible! Your friends are hurt! Why don't you go with them before it's too late?"
"Nami and Vivi are with Enel." Luffy retorted. "I'm not going to leave them with that monster."
"But...you have dozens of friends! Why risk losing everything just to save two people? That's silly."
"YOU WANT ME TO DROP MY FRIENDS?" Luffy suddenly roared.
Seeing him put on an angry look, Velvet couldn't help but feel herself shiver, as Luffy declared.
"I would never give up on any of my friends! We're a crew! So either I leave this island with them...or I die with them! There's no other option."
"But ... "
"And neither will I let Enel destroy the country of Conis and the knight! I will kick his ass and show everyone that he is not a god."
Turning then to Velvet, he questioned her.
"You who wanted to fight him...have you become a coward?"
Hearing this, Velvet gritted her teeth, before retorting.
"I have many faults, Mugiwara! But I am not a coward."
"Then why do you want to run away and let Enel do what he wants? I refuse to behave like you! I will protect my friends and all the people he has mistreated! And then we'll party, all together. "
"Huh?" Luffy wondered.
Suddenly, she saw Luffy reaching out his hand.
"If you don't want to know betrayal anymore, come with me! When we win, no one will see you as a demon anymore."
"Tsss, like I need your help." She growled.
Yet, ignoring Luffy's hand, she ended up sitting on Braviary's back, while she groaned.
"I warn you right now, Mugiwara. "If I do this, it's only because I want to get Enel's head! I'm not doing this to help you. "
" Okay. "
"Misdreavus." The pokemon suddenly shouted, stepping in front of Luffy.
"Are you coming with us?" Luffy questioned her.
"Misdre!" Assured the pokemon, nodding her head.
Then, seeing Hattrem pouting again, the specter decided to use "SHADOW CLAWS" to capture her and force her onto Braviary's back.
"Hattrem?"
" LET'S GO ! " Cried Luffy. " Enel, we are coming. "
However, as the strange group walked towards the location of the island god, they did not see anyone watching them from atop a building.
"Monkey D. Luffy..." Widos said, before disappearing.
Positioning his gold prosthesis in front of her face, Hunter J managed to protect herself in extremis. But already, Pit's second sword was heading towards her.
Salamence use FLAMETHROWER.
Forced to fly backwards, the angel managed to avoid the flames. But already, other pokemon targeted him.
Umbreon use SHADOW BALL
Drapion use POISON STING.
Yet not even turning to look at the attacks, Pit let Raynare appear behind him, before creating a magic shield, which halted the attacks. Startled, the two pokemons then saw Raynare's protection charge towards them, and while Umbreon jumped to avoid it, Drapion was violently rammed.
With a cry of pain, he was thrown inside a building, which was pulverized. Growling at this, Umbreon attempted to counterattack.
Umbreon use DARK PULSE.
Eevee use METEORE.
Hit again by Eevee's attack, Umbreon shot her a carnivorous look, before getting rid of her.
Umbreon use SHADOW BALL.
Seeing the purple sphere flying towards her, the pokemon tried to dodge it. However, leaning on one of her paws, Eevee winced, feeling a pain shoot through her body. Unable to flee, she got hit by the attack and was knocked to the ground again.
"Little-eevee!" yelled Yosaku, seeing the pokemon land not far from him.
"Ee...vee!" the poor pokemon muttered, trying to get up again.
Umbreon use IRON TAIL.
Running, before jumping, Umbreon performed an aerial pirouette before aiming his tail at Eevee.
"EEVEE!" Raynare shouted, making a move to rescue her.
Nevertheless, flames passed in front of her, before stopping her, while Hunter J retorted.
"This time it's over for her."
"And this was proven as Umbreon's tail struck Eevee. Yet, to everyone's surprise, Eevee's body disappeared, while Umbreon only struck the ground.
" Umbre ... ? "
Then, a dozen Eevee appeared all around him, surrounding him.
"What...?" Raynare wondered.
"That attack..." Johnny said, recognizing it.
" DOUBLE TEAM? " Hunter J wondered. "That's impossible! This pokemon doesn't know this attack! How did it learn it so easily?"
Suddenly, thinking back to her fight yesterday, she remembered that Umbreon had won against Eevee, using that attack.
"She learned about this attack...by seeing Umbreon use it?"
Eevee use QUICK ATTACK.
Frightened, Umbreon saw twenty Eevee rushing at him at full speed.
Umbreon use DARK PULSE.
Aiming at several clones, the pokemon managed to pulverize them. Nevertheless, one of them jumped over the attack before delivering a powerful headbutt to her opponent. Groaning in pain, Umbreon felt his feet slip back. Opening his eyes, angrily, he showed fear, seeing Eevee in front of him, while her next attack was already ready.
Eevee use SHADOW BALL.
And even though her attack wasn't perfect, Umbreon was far too close to her to be able to avoid the sphere, which exploded upon hitting him.
"UMBRE..." the pokemon shouted, being ejected backwards.
"But what's going on?" Wanted to know Hunter J.
For his part, Raynare remained motionless.
"Aren't you going to help her?" Pit questioned.
"Why ?" Asked the fallen angel.
Crossing her arms, while displaying a smile, she assured.
"She's doing like a champ."
Eevee use DOUBLE TEAM.
Umbreon use SAND ATTACK.
Creating a sandstorm, Umbreon managed to destroy all of Eevee's clones. Being alone, she groaned, while resisting the sand. Finally, she went all out and prepared her next attack.
Eevee use METEORE.
Being ejected among the sand, the shooting stars began to fly in all directions, before emerging from the storm. Thus, a hundred projectiles began to hit the entire surrounding area and several even headed towards Umbreon, who had to jump back to avoid them.
Ceasing to attack, he saw his storm disappear, and could see Eevee, with the bristling hairs on her back.
But, at this moment, stones were ejected, while Drapion got back to his feet. Screaming in rage, he lunged at Eevee, lighting up his claws.
Drapion use X-SCISSORS.
Eevee use QUICK ATTACK.
Running towards the scorpion, Eevee then jumped and managed to land on her opponent's head. Surprised, Drapion saw her jump again to soar into the sky. Then, turning to him, Eevee counterattacked.
Eevee use SHADOW BALL.
Falling to the ground, the attack struck Drapion's skull and the explosion knocked him off balance as the front of his body crashed to the ground.
"Eevee!" the pokemon rejoiced, seeing it on the ground.
Unfortunately, Drapion got up, before turning to her, while being joined by Umbreon. This time, they really wanted to slaughter her to make her pay for this humiliation.
Umbreon use DARK PULSE.
Drapion use VENOSHOCK.
This time, seeing both attacks charging at Eevee, Raynare created a spear of light to attack them. However, she stopped when she saw Eevee running towards the two attacks.
Running at full speed, Eevee accelerated, again and again...
" Eevee ! Eevee ! Eevee ... vee ... vee ... vee ... vee ... EEVEEEEEEEE ! "
Then, a purple aura surrounded her and the pokemon pulverized the ground with every step she took.
"What the...?" Pit wondered.
" GIGA IMPACT? " wondered Hunter J.
"GIGA WHAT?" Raynare asked.
Continuing to charge at her, both of her opponents' attacks slammed into Eevee. Yet, emerging from the smoke caused by the explosion, Eevee was still surrounded by her aura, as she charged at the two pokemons, who could only scream in fear.
Then, at the moment of impact, a new explosion took place. And, a moment later, Umbreon and Drapion flew through the air, before crashing to the ground, their eyes spiraling.
Having witnessed the scene, McKinley barely understood what had happened.
"Hunter J's pokemon...these are the elite Guardians of Upper Yard! And yet they were defeated."
Indeed, emerging from the smoke that her attack had caused, Eevee was still visible. Stumbling awkwardly as fatigue overtook her, the pokemon was still conscious. Eevee had won his fight.
"Sugoi..." Pit said. "That was an attack."
" EEVEE ..."
Raising its attack, the pokemon Raynare display a smile, while declaring.
"You are the best partner in the world."
"Eevee!" Assured the pokemon.
Nevertheless, it was at this moment that a pokeball hit her forehead. And, before reacting Eevee disappeared inside.
"Wha...?" Raynare and Pit wondered, turning to Hunter J.
" Finally, this pokemon interests me. " Affirmed the hunter.
