Stepping back in perfect synchronization Ace and Nodeath remained standing and just stared at each other. Smiling though, Ace affirmed.
"Incredible! Casually, the handicap you are offering me allows you to raise yourself to my level! Take advantage of the situation, it may be the only chance you will have of defeating a pirate with a bonus of one half a million."
"Grrrr! Joking as much as you want, I assure you this won't last." Nodeath asserted.
"Oh?" Ace said, pretending to be surprised. "Because you sincerely think you can defeat me ?"
"Of course I can." Nodeath assured. "Anyway, I'm not interested in you! It's Whitebeard I want to kill! But for that, I must first defeat guys like you! And after defeating you, I could secure myself a future in this unforgiving world."
"A future?" Ace repeated.
Then, suddenly, the hacker quietly began to walk towards Nodeath.
"I too am thinking about my future."
"And what do you want to do, if you manage to get out of here?" Nodeath questioned, imitating him.
"First I have to find someone to kill him! Then I should break the news to Whitebeard! Then I will pay my respects to the grave of my comrade, who died due to the cruelty of my subordinate And when this is all over, I think I'm going to the New World, to fulfill a promise I made to someone."

Continuing to move closer away from each other, Ace and Nodeath were only separated by three meters... two meters... one meter...
Suddenly, their faces were struck violently by the opponent's fist. Even shielded by Busoshoku haki, both men felt a sharp pain in their face. Still, that didn't stop them from clenching their second fist, to strike their foe again.
Getting hit a second time, while he also managed to smash into Nodeath's face again, Ace prepared a third punch. However, seeming to be slower to react, Nodeath dodged it by leaning back.
Then, taking advantage of his upper body falling backwards, he lifted one of his legs and targeted Ace's chin. Noticing his gesture, Ace positioned his hand under his chin in extremis and let Nodeath's foot hit the palm of his hand, completely stopping the kick. Despite this, the pirate felt his hand shake from the impact.
However, this did not prevent him from rotating his body before directing his elbow towards Nodeath's right pectoral. Punching with all his might, he heard a cracking noise, while his opponent's ribcage was hit hard.
"ARRRRRGGGGHHHH!" Nodeath growled, stepping back.
Immediately, Ace's fist hit him in the face to push him back further. Blinded, Nodeath could not see targeting his left knee next, which he struck with his leg. Unable to resist the blow, Nodeath lost his balance and fell to his knees, allowing Ace to punch him in the face again.
Spitting blood from his mouth, while his nose was equally bloody, Nodeath began to collapse on his side. Unfortunately, while Ace was about to hit him one last time to make sure his opponent lost consciousness, he saw Nodeath open his eyes and stare at him.
Stopping his fall, the man held out his arms towards Ace, before wrapping him around his waist. Arms locked against his sides, Ace couldn't use them to defend himself, while Nodeath tilted his head back, in order to gain enough momentum, to administer a powerful blow to his skull.
Face crushed under his opponent's forehead, Ace was the one who felt blood seeping from his face. But as he closed his eyes for a short moment, Nodeath released him, before grabbing Ace's head in one of his hands.
Then letting out a scream, he used all the strength of his arm to force Ace's face down to the ground, before pulverizing him with all his might. Feeling his face slammed into the ground, Ace then lay still, as a crater formed around his head.
Seeing this as he caught his breath, Nodeath wondered if this was really enough to finish off someone like Ace.
And his answer came when Ace's hands suddenly moved to grab the fingers of Nodeath's hand, which was still squeezing the pirate's skull. Giving Nodeath no chance, he squeezed his fingers as hard as he could, before twisting them.
Screaming in pain, Nodeath brought her hand back to him, and saw her broken and twisted fingers. Taking advantage, Ace straightened up before jumping back. Catching his breath too, as he felt more blood running down his face, he nevertheless dared to smile.
"I must admit that your power is not negligible! And your strategy is excellent! Thanks to your trap, you may really have a chance of defeating me."
"Are you still smiling?" Nodeath growled.
"Yeah! Because you're fun to fight."
Cracking the muscles in his neck, Ace assured.
"It's been a long time since I've been in a situation where there's a real chance I'll get killed! The adrenaline I feel...it's been so long since I felt it in Me. "
"And that's just the beginning." Nodeath assured, clenching his fist. "You will never leave this place! This room will be your tomb! I swear it in honor of my former companions."
Suddenly, he spat out saliva, feeling Ace's leg hit his sides.
" ARRRRGGGHHHHH ! "

Nevertheless, remaining still, Nodeath managed to slam his arm against his side, trapping Ace's leg. Immobilizing him, Nodeath then struck Ace's abdomen with his arm, only to cause him to spit saliva as well.
"It takes more to defeat me." He assured. "Your pitiful attacks are nothing compared to the training my father put me through."
Looking like a punching bag, Ace felt Nodeath's fist hit his abdomen several times. Then, his face was once again the target of his adversary.
"Without your logia powers, anyone can defeat you." He assured, slapping her face.
Being on the ground, Kamy tried to crawl on the ground, to return to Hyou's office. It had been years since the young servant had felt fear. Why could she feel it when most of her body was unable to feel any pain?
And yet, right now, Kamy was shaking with fear as deep wounds were visible on her body.
" Hyou-sama ... help ... help me. "
Unfortunately for her, a figure appeared in front of her, while a psychopathic smile crossed her face. Freezing in terror, Kamy recognized the reason for his current nightmare, while Cavendish had his sword covered of her blood.
Seeing him take a step towards her, Kamy began to raise one of her arms in front of her.

For years, Kamy had always considered herself an android no longer able to feel the same emotions as a normal human being. And yet, within minutes, Cavendish had transformed her into a poor woman, unable to defend herself or calm the terror that was manifesting in her.
Loving to see her so terrified, Cavendish turned to her, before disappearing again. Immediately, large slashes appeared on the walls, as they quickly approached Kamy.
Unable to do anything, the young servant saw Cavendish's sword appear near her face, ready to stab through her.
" STOOOOOPPPPPPPPP ! "
Grinning, Cavendish stopped. Finding himself frozen, he seemed to feel an unease within him, which Kamy could not explain. Finally, she saw the man's lips begin to move.
"Hakuba, stop it! It's an order."
Turning somewhat more human again, Cavendish's face grew less frightening as he ordered.
"I am the only Cavendish! I forbid you to take possession of my body."
Suddenly, his psychopathic smile returns to his face.
"You moron! It's me who follows the master of your body! Only I can use your true potential! Stay asleep and stop teasing me."
" SHUT UP ! "
Suddenly, Cavendish's sword began to move and its tip pierced Cavendish's leg.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" he yelled.
His smile disappeared again and finally, his face returned to its original state. Dropping to one knee, Cavendish caught his breath, looking exhausted.
"Damn Hakuba! The more time passes, the more powerful he becomes."
Unable to say anything, Kamy saw him put his sword away and start limping towards Hyou's office. However, stopping, before looking behind him, Cavendish glanced at the maid, who shuddered.
"You're not cut out to live the life of a pirate slayer! If you want advice, just live the life of a servant."
Then he left.
Tapping the vault door, Yank was glad to see he wasn't in Seastone. Ryou was so sure of the danger of his mansion that he had not considered it necessary to reinforce it in order to defend it against potential Devil Fruit users who came here to take all his fortune.

Cavendish approached her, which startled Yank. However, instead of being interested in her, the pirate picked up a few leaves of banknotes, before storing them under his coat.
"After all this fighting, I need the money to buy myself a new wardrobe and get a manicure."
Then, he moved away from Yank, who heaved a sigh of relief. Certainly, Cavendish had understood his real purpose, but he thought it harmless, while stealing Hyou was no problem for him. Nevertheless, the pirate didn't have a clue of the power Yank now possessed thanks to the sapphire she now had on her.
"Let's get out of here and find Hyou." Cavendish said, heading for the secret passage.
However, an explosion suddenly took place.
"Huh?" The duo wondered, turning in the direction of the hole in the ground, where Ace and Nodeath had disappeared.
Being thrown backwards, Ace didn't even have time to react when he felt Nodeath's fist hit him in the face again.
"Ace...the match is already over." Nodeath affirmed, seeing him fall to his knees, his face covered in blood. "Surrender to the obvious, in a place like this, rendering your powers useless...and against someone like me...your defeat was predictable from the start."
In response, Ace suddenly got up, before hitting him on the chin. However, Nodeath barely felt the impact. Motionless, he stared at Ace, while declaring.
"Your resistance is getting pitiful."
Then, he raised his leg as high as possible, before lowering it to the ground, hitting Ace's head and crushing it under his foot, with a crash. Finding himself on the ground again, Ace remained motionless, while being in contact with the seastone seemed to truly make him unable to defend himself any longer.
Picking it up, Nodeath holds it by the throat, before positioning the pirate's face, in front of his.
"It's time to be done with you."
Closing his fist, to pulverize Ace's face, Nodeath suddenly stopped, seeing the blood covering his opponent's face, Ace seemed half dead, having the greatest difficulty to stay conscious. Given his physical condition, he seemed unable to fight any longer.
Seeing him like this, Nodeath seemed to think.
"What if we keep you alive and give you to the Navy?"
Smiling, he affirmed.

"Bakayaro." Nodeath growled, wiping his face.
Nevertheless, feeling a strong heat, he widened his eyes, while he saw flames appear above him.
" What ? "
Still making his way back down to him, Ace smiled, while not an ounce of his body touched the ground or a wall. now able to use his powers for a short time, he targeted Nodeath.
"Don't rely on me to be the tool of your revenge! A guy like you can never defeat Whitebeard and can never outmatch me! FIRE FIST!"
Seeing Ace's flames surround his fist, before being thrown towards him, Nodeath roars in rage, before leaping to attack. Covering his entire body with Husoshoku haki, he aimed his fist at Ace's, ready to exterminate him.
"You can't win against me! I am the man...I AM THE MAN WHO WILL KILL WHITEBEARD!"
The clash lasted a second. Colliding the fists of the two men created a shock wave Unfortunately, the next second, the bones of Nodeath's arm were shattered, while the flames of his opponent began to cover his body.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" He yelled, feeling his body char.
"DISAPPEAR!" Ace yelled, throwing him back.
Hitting the floor of the trapped room, Nodeath's body found itself in the center of a huge crater, the area of which was almost the size of the entire room. Remaining in bed, his eyes were now white, showing that he had passed out.
Landing not far from him, dropping to the ground, Ace made his flames disappear, while he tried to catch his breath.
"Bakayaro! How can you be satisfied with revenge, if you get it this way?"
Then, overtaken by fatigue, he ended up closing his eyes, before losing consciousness.
