Again, a turret rose from the ground and targeted Snake. Hearing its top generate electricity, Snake aimed one of his revolvers at it and went. Immediately, the bullet hit the top of the turret and managed to crack it slightly. Escaping from this tiny crack, the electricity deteriorated the top and produced other cracks. Finally, without needing to look at the turret, Snake heard an explosion as it burst into flames.
Seeing this, Hyou growled in displeasure.
"Geez, vermin are really hard to eradicate."
"I can say the same for you, old wreck." Snake assured.
Again, Hyou pressed his remote control and, coming out of the facade, a cannon was pointed in the direction of Snake. The next second, a deafening roar was heard as the cannonball slammed into Snake.
Hearing him arrive, Snake flexed his legs, before making fluid movements with his arms.
" FISHMEN KARATE ! "
" Huh ? " Said Hyou.
"I told you I copied the powers of five people." The former scientist reminded him. "Besides Cordio and Portgas, I've met a lot of people in this world."
Then, hitting the cannonball with the palm of his hand, he completely changed its trajectory and aimed it at Hyou. But, unfrightened by this, the old man again crossed his fingers in front of him and created a barrier.
Hitting her, the cannonball only created an explosion that shook the area. However, being perfectly shielded, Hyou laughed at the smoke the explosion created.
"No matter how hard you try, you have no chance of hurting me at all."
"Are you sure?"
Now rushing towards Hyou, Snake covered his body in haki before accelerating you. Immediately, as soon as the smoke cleared from the area, Hyou saw the scientist running towards him, while closing his fist.

And even when he stepped on a new mine, the former scientist was protected enough by his haki that nothing seemed to be able to slow him down.

His arm now broken, the former scientist fell to his knees, moaning in pain. Making his barrier disappear, Hyou reached under his clothes, before pulling out a gun. Starting to aim at Snake, he asserted.
"I warned you, evil cannot win against good."
Hearing this, Snake smiled.
"Then you should be careful! Justice-girl is going after you."
"Huh?" Hyou wondered, looking up.
Indeed, while she had been discreet until now, Isuka was now the one running towards Hyou. Taking the same path as that of Snake, she took advantage that he had triggered all the mines in his path, in order to get to Hyou, without fear of blowing himself up.
"In your dreams." Roared the old man, grabbing his remote control again, to fire his cannon.
Aiming, this time, the Navy lieutenant, the cannon didn't take long to send a huge projectile in his direction. However, continuing to run, Isuka never looked back and, using only the noise made by the ball as it rushed at her, she managed to perform a magnificent jump, which allowed her to find herself out of its path.
"How?" Hyou wondered.
"I'm weaker than Ace." Isuka confessed, landing on her feet. "And I'm weaker than Akainu...Berkam...Cavendish...Snake...Nevertheless, that doesn't mean I'm harmless."
Resuming her run, she grabbed her sword, before pointing it at Hyou.
"I'm a Navy lieutenant and I'm going to prove to you that I didn't reach this rank by chance."
" You too are resisting uselessly. " Hyou retorted, crossing his fingers.
Immediately, his barrier reappeared in front of Isuka, and the young woman seemed to bump into her. However, simply resting the palm of her hand against the barrier, Isuka completely surprised Hyou, making his protection disappear.
" WHAT ? "
Then, the next second, he cried out in pain, feeling Isuka's sword go through his abdomen. Paralyzed, the old man felt a trickle of blood flow out of his mouth. Then, slowly lowering his gaze to see the sword embedded in his stomach, he finally stared at Isuka.
"How... How did you do that?"
In response, Isuka threw an object, which landed on Hyou's lap: sea granite handcuffs.
"Every good Navy soldier always has a pair of handcuffs on him," the young woman affirmed. "You never know what pirate you might encounter on a trip."
Trying to say something, Hyou could only cough up blood.
"Hyou-san...you're under arrest."
Opening his eyes, Ace was victim of a violent headache, while he had the impression of having been crushed by a boat. Seeing blurry at first, he took a few seconds to regain his senses. Eventually, he noticed that he was in some kind of tunnel.
"Where...Where am I?"
"Are you finally awake? It's not too early."
Walking through the tunnel, and despite his injuries, Cavendish carried Ace's body on his back, while he was accompanied by Yank.
"You're heavy." The blonde affirmed.
"Where am I?" Ace repeated.
"We heard an explosion." Yank informed him. "So we decided to go down to the back of the room where you were ejected! Lucky for you there was a ladder."
Remembering his fight against Nodeath, Ace retorted.
"It's bad luck that that ladder was there! That room was where Nodeath had to fight the most fearsome people Hyou brought to his mansion! Hyou had so much faith in Nodeath that he built this scale, while being certain that the person who would walk out of this room would always be his subordinate."
Thinking he was right, Cavendish thought about his own fight against Kamy.
"These guys...I really don't know if I should consider them criminals...or pity them."
Smiling, Ace confessed.
"Nodeath...in any other situation, I would have liked to have a drink with him and hear his story."
"Hey, the exit is over there." Yank announced, seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Quickly, the trio found themselves out of the tunnel, just as they heard Isaku affirm.
"Hyou-san...you're under arrest."
" Isuka? " Ace wondered, seeing his friend in front of Hyou. "
"ACE!" The redhead rejoiced.
Pointing to Hyou who was injured, she affirmed.
" We won. "
"I see that! Great job." The pirate assured.
"Hey! I'm doing most of the work." Snake retorted. "Without me, you wouldn't even have been able to approach him, without disappearing in an explosion."
Grinning then, he looked at his broken arm, which began to become swollen.
"I really thought I could break his barrier! I have to review my strategy."
For his part, seeing his enemies' companions come out of the secret tunnel, Hyou roared.
"Kamy-chan...Nodeath-kun...What did you do to them?"
Staring at him, Cavendish growled.
"Tssss! We're spas like you! Don't worry! We didn't kill them."
"LIAR!" Hyou roared. "My family...The pirates killed my first family...AND YOU KILLED MY SECOND FAMILY!"
Suddenly, before Isuka could react, he grabbed his remote again.

Too late. Managing to use his last strength, Hyou pressed a button on the remote control and immediately, huge explosions could be heard under the feet of Ace and the others.

Huge cracks suddenly appeared on the surface of the ground, and finally, a huge hole was formed. Measuring several meters in diameter, the hole was so large that Cavendish and Yank had to back up until they were back inside the secret tunnel, so as not to fall inside.
Finding himself in the center of this hole, Hyou was laughing, despite the fact that he was falling.
"I won! HAHAHAHAHA! I won!"
Screaming meanwhile, Snake and Isuka felt themselves falling as well, and began a fall that seemed to be forever.
" HELP ! "
Seeing them fall, Cavendish and Isuka couldn't do anything to help them. Nevertheless, passing between them, a real inferno fell into the hole. having fallen without the slightest hesitation, Ace had turned his body into flames and headed towards Isuka.
In an instant, his arm wrapped around her waist, while his hand gripped Snake's hair, trying to stop his fall.

Ignoring him, Ace dropped further, as he walked towards Hyou.
"YOUR HAND!" He shouted, reaching out his arm to the old man.
However, seeing Ace save his companions, Hyou seemed to be overcome with boundless rage. And instead of having any sense of reasoning, he aimed his revolver at the trio and fired repeatedly.
" DIE ! "
Stopping immediately, Ace created a wall of flames in front of him, to prevent any of the projectiles from hurting Isuka or Snake.
Nevertheless, he saw Hyou continue his fall, accompanied by various pieces of the ground, which fell with him. Finally, a few moments later, the trio heard crashing noises, coming from the bottom of the hole. It was now obvious that nothing could save the old man, whose soul had been eaten away by revenge.
"Bakayaro!" Ace growled.
being pulled up, Ace used his flames as propellants to get out of the hole, before dropping Isuka and Snake to the ground.
"Are you okay?" Yank asked.
"Where's Hyou?" Cavendish asked.
"Dead."' Ace replied simply.
Then, suddenly, he surprised everyone by hitting a part of the ground still present.
" DAMN IT !"
Even though Hyou tried to kill them, Ace thought like Cavendish. He told himself that he didn't consider Hyou and the rest of his group as real villains! And he thought he could reason with him before his revenge went too far.
"Ace…maybe it's best that things end this way;" Cavendish affirmed. "You only had to hear him speak to know that his hatred for us had completely driven him into madness! I doubt you could have changed him."
"Maybe...but I would have at least tried."
"And then? This guy killed hundreds of people, and even members of the Navy! He would have had no hope of avoiding prison! Finally, you may have done him a favor! I doubt he would have survived a long time behind bars."
For his part, sitting down on the ground, Yank affirmed.
"It's sad! To say that we are the only survivors of this massacre."
Raising several fingers, she whispered.

Immediately, everyone turned their faces to the same person.
" Hey, that's not me. " Isuka retorted. "I have nothing to contact them with."
"Then why are they here?" Cavendish asked.
"I don't know! Maybe they found out what Hyou was doing here."
Another cannonball exploded not far from them.
"We better leave."
" YEAH ! RUN ! "
But as the group of five fled away from the hole where Hyou had disappeared, a gust of wind began to stir up a cloud of gray powder, similar to ash. Appearing in large quantities, this cloud of ash moved towards the huge hole, before descending inside.
Taking a few seconds to reach its bottom, the ash then began to inspect the cavity, where the debris belonging to the soil that had once been on the surface had fallen. And among these pieces of ground was a body: that of Hyou.
Immediately, more ash descended to the bottom of the hole. And among this strange cloud that seemed alive, the bodies of Kamy and Nodeath could be visible. The maid was still conscious despite her many injuries, while Nodeath had just woken up, feeling unable to move.
Seeming to let the ash drag them down to the bottom of the hole, they put their feet on the ground, before dropping, not having enough strength to stand.
Nevertheless, despite her wounds and her cutted arm, Kamy began to crawl towards the corpse of her former boss.
" HYOU-SAMA !"
Finding herself on top of Hyou's bleeding body, she couldn't help but sob.
"No! Not you! Please! Hyou-sama!"
However, nothing seemed to be able to make him believe in a miracle. Hyou had an injury to his abdomen, while two rocks were now crushing his leg and arm. And after such a high fall, the old man's body was now bathed in a pool of blood.
"Kamy…it's too late." Nodeath affirmed.
At that moment, a moan was heard. Startled, the pair saw blood coming out of Hyou's mouth as he coughed a little so he could breathe.
"HYOU-SAMA!" Rejoices Kamy.
Unable to open his eyes, Hyou whispered.
"Kamy...are you the one I hear?"
"It's me, Hyou-sama." His servant assured him. "Don't worry! I'm going to get you out of here right now and..."
"Thank you for all your years of service." Hyou suddenly stopped. "You have always been a great help to me."
Still coughing up blood, he asked.
" Nodeath ... Nodeath-kun ... Are you here ? "
"Yes, Hyou-sama." His mercenary assured. " I am here. "
" I am really sorry." The old man apologized. "I couldn't help you kill Whitebeard."
Remaining motionless, Nodeath ends up putting his broken mask back in front of his face, so that his eyes are hidden.

Seeing him in a sorry state, Karly couldn't help gritting his teeth. He had known the old man for years. indeed, he had been one of the soldiers to investigate the death of his family. And after getting to know Hyou, he decided to help her in her revenge.
So, since Hyou had built his mansion, Karly had discreetly given him a lot of information about criminals in this world. Information about pirates, thieves, killers, corrupt Navy members...and even traffickers who were protected by the government, in exchange for money.

"Portgas D. Ace is present on this island and is responsible for the death of the Navy members who were with me! Wipe out everything on this island and kill it."

Then, a few moments later, the sounds of explosions were heard, while the small island where Hyou's mansion was located was bombarded.

"Today's Navy is so corrupt that they will never be able to understand what Hyou-san did to try to save this world! If she decides to inspect his mansion, she will have him described as a monster by the newspapers! Listening to him, Nodeath only nodded slightly, while Kamy continued to sob. Finally, trying to calm down, she ended up raising her head, to show anger.
"Pirates...I could never forgive them! NEVER !"

Running to the port of the small island, Ace saw a cannonball pulverizing one of the boats that were there.
"They're bombing the entire island." Snake remarked, seeing various cannonballs hit Hyou's mansion. "Is that a Buster Call or what?"
"I've never seen one in my life." Isuka confessed. "But it looks like it."
Finally, arriving in front of their two small boats, Ace and Isuka jumped inside. Very quickly, isl were imitated by Cavendish and Snake.
"Hurry get those boats out of here." The blond yelled.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Ace shouted. "Go to your boats."
Pointing to pieces of wood, which floated on the surface, not far from their position, Snake affirmed.
"That's where my boat was."
"Did you come by boat? A great scientist like you?"
"Hey! I don't want to hear that when your boats aren't any better."
" And I came accompanied. " Confirmed Cavendish. "It was someone who brought me here."
" Someone ? "
"A woman." Confessed the pirate. "I wanted to take advantage of my natural beauty to grab some of his fortune to buy me a boat and start building my own crew."
"You still don't have a crew?" Isuka questioned him. " Shame. "
"SHUT UP!" Roared Canvendish. "I'm a famous pirate who never needed anyone to be famous."

"It's simple." Cavendish affirmed. "If I manage to gather a powerful crew and can get to the other part of the Grand-Line, I have every chance of becoming the next Pirate King! And thanks to that, my name will be written in the history for eternity."

"What did you say?" Cavendish roared.
Suddenly, a cannonball hit the port, pulverizing part of the area.
"I suggest we postpone this discussion." Isuka affirmed.
"I agree." Snake agreed.
And quickly, the two boats began to leave the port, while the small island was ravaged by cannonballs. In a few minutes, the incredible mansion that Hyou had spent years building was nothing more than a pile of wood that caught fire.
"Who would have imagined that a party invitation could lead to all of this?" Snake asked.
"Anyway, this is the last time I'll accept an invitation from a so-called fan." Cavendish affirmed.
Remaining silent, Ace suddenly noticed that someone was missing.
"Hey, where's Yank?"
"Huh?" His companions wondered, looking around.
Indeed, it didn't take them long to realize that there were only four of them on these two boats and that the thief was no longer among them.
" Where is she ? "
Suddenly, a cannonball fell into the water, while two Navy boats had spotted them.
"Damn it! They're coming our way." Cavendish noted.
Immediately, Ace stood up, before letting flames surround his body.
"I'll get rid of you."
Then, remembering a discussion, he asked Snake.
"What you said about Blackbeard was true?"
" Huh ? "
"You told me you saw him near Banaro Island."
"Huh...yes, that's it."
Smiling, hearing this, Ace clenched his fist, before igniting it.
"I'm going to destroy these boats, and then... I'll kill Blackbeard."
