Remaining hidden behind some bushes, two figures were watching Luffy's group helping the survivors of the island, while everyone had gathered on a shore south of the island.
Having given away some of their water and supplies, the pirates tied it all together to form a big package.
"That should be fine." Usopp assured, testing the strength of the ropes.
" We got you enough food to eat and drink for quite a while. " Sanji stated.
" Thank you so much. "
Seeing them helping the survivors, Aokiji confessed.
"It's not every day that I see pirates being so kind with civils."
"Hihihi! We like to help others." Luffy assured. "Hey, are you really going to help them from here?"
"Of course! After all, it's my job as a Navy soldier to help them."
Hearing that, Luffy laughed.
"Hihihihi! Finally, you're a nice person."
Then he held out his hand to her.
"Sorry about earlier! By the way, my name is Luffy."
"I know who you are." Aokiji assured with a sigh.
However shaking Luffy's hand, he declared.
"You're far from the kingpin the government talks about! Did you seriously defeat Crocodile?"
"Of course." Luffy assured. "And he deserved it ! I could never forgive what that guy did to Vivi's country."
Hearing this, Aokiji turned his gaze to the former princess. Then, looking preoccupied, he walked in her direction.
"Princess Nefertari…" he said.
"What... What do you want from me?"
"I learned what crocodile did to Alabasta and..."
Suddenly bowing to Vivi, he declared.
"On behalf of the Navy, I would like to apologize! Letting Crocodile have his own way was an unforgivable mistake on our part."
Surprised, the pirates and the survivors heard one of the admirals of the Navy confessing publicly the faults of the Navy. As surprised as they were, Vivi put on an embarrassed face. Nevertheless, she retorted.
"I couldn't forgive the Navy."
Remembering her father's revelations, she affirmed.
"The Cipher Pool threatened my father and used me to lie to our people! Instead of apologizing to us, the Navy showed us their true colors! preferred to treat us like criminals! I couldn't forgive them! Ever."
Hearing her, Aokiji lifted his head, all while declaring.
"I understand and I expected this kind of reaction! But if I hadn't apologized to you, it would have worried me for a very long time."
"A Navy admiral apologizing to a former princess considered a criminal..." Gin said. " Decidedly, Grand Line has not finished surprising me. "
" Tssss! An apology won't change anything. " Sanji retorted. "It's because of guys like him that pirates without a shred of humanity get the right to do what they want and here's the result! Even after what Crocodile did, the Navy covered up their mistakes and I I've even heard that a new Shichibukai is expected to take Crocodile's place soon! to believe they're even dumber than we think."
" I especially think that they have no choice. " Retorted Nami " Even if Crocodile made a mistake, we must not forget that the Shichibukais represent one of the most powerful forces of the Navy! If ever the Navy decided to destroy this group, so more pirates and other criminals would decide to directly attack the Navy to weaken it further!And if that happens...it would be the beginning of a nightmare for the whole world. "
Listening to them, while understanding nothing, Wiper asked.
"What are the Shichibukais? Gods of the blue sea?"
"I think we'll give you a history lesson later." Bruno affirmed. "You have a lot to learn."
For his part, Zoro turned to Shizuo.
"And who are you? Even though you're an immigrant, I'm guessing your presence with that admiral means you work for the Navy."
" My name is Shizuo. " The man affirmed. "Shizuo Heiwajima! And sorry to disappoint you but I don't work for the Navy! When I came to this world, Aokiji was the one who found me and since then he has been helping me understand this world."
at that moment, Aokiji walked towards the ocean.
"Talking is a good thing, but I remind you that we are here for a more important reason! Besides, I advise you to step back."
"So, we're finally going to see the powers of a Navy Admiral." Raynare remarked. "What do you think we should expect?"
"Earlier, the survivors claimed to have seen him pedaling on the surface of the water." Sanji remarked. "If it has to do with his power, then maybe he can control gravity or something."
"Perhaps he can control water." Lucy affirmed.
"That's not it." Robin retorted, concerned. "It does not control water! It is capable of solidifying it."

Appearing out of the water, a huge sea monster was now just in front of the shore.
"A MONSTER!" Yelled Yosaku and Johnny.
"Looks like the snake in Skypiea." Velvet remarked.
"Tssss! That monster there, I destroy it with a single attack." Wiper asserted, preparing to fire.
However, seeing Shizuo position an arm in front of him, he was surprised to hear him say it.
"Please, I don't advise you to get in the way of Aokiji."
" Huh ? "
"It's for your safety." Shizuo assured.
Not seeming to have noticed the presence of the huge monster, Aokiji simply dipped his hand in the water. Then, suddenly, an icy mist appeared around him.
" ICE AGE !"
Eyes widening, the pirates and survivors didn't even feel an icy draft touch their skin. instead, they could only stare at the sea of ice in front of them, while Aokiji managed to freeze all the water in the area, including the sea monster.
"The…the sea…it's frozen." Nami said.
" SUGOI !" Shouted Luffy.
"The power of ice." Zoro understood. "So here's the strength of a Navy HQ admiral."
For her part, Lucy couldn't help but take a step back.
"Even when I was working with him, Gray was never able to do anything like this! There's no denying that this guy surpasses him! And again, I'm sure he hasn't shown us his true potential at all It's no wonder Robin is afraid of him."
"How is that possible?" Bruno asked. "Since when can salt water be frozen?"

Not far from him, Usopp rubbed his arms, while snot began to flow.
"Now that we've done our good deed, we better get out of this place! It's getting cold."
"Really?" Menma questioned him, as one of her hair strands caught fire.
" Me, I'm not cold at all. " Chopper assured.
" SHUT UP ! " Shouted Usopp.
Suddenly looking at her Log-Pose, Nami affirmed.
"Perfect! The Log-Pose has already found our next destination! We can go from here."
"Already?" Luffy said sadly. "But, I want to ice skate."
"Do you think you're on a school trip or what?" Nami roared.
Eventually, moving away from the frozen sea, the pirates noticed Aokiji and Shizuo watching them.
"Hey, guys! We're also going to leave the island." Luffy assured, smiling at them. "It was nice meeting you."
Staring at him without saying anything at first, Aokiji seemed to be examining his he declared.
"You really are the spitting image of your grandfather, Mugiwara."
"Huh? Do you know my grandfather?"
"Of course." Aokiji assured. "After all, I was his student when I was just a private in the Navy."
"What?" Johnny wondered, looking at the pair. "Hey, Luffy-aniki...what does he mean?"
"Your grandfather works in the Navy?" Yosaku asked.
"That's exactly it." Aokiji affirmed. "And just like your captain, he has a very childish and reckless demeanor! And yet he is one of the hardest men to pin down! looking forward to seeing his grandson again."
Hearing this, Luffy immediately froze, before breaking into a profuse sweat.
"GR... GRANDPA WANTS TO SEE ME?"
" Luffy ? " Said Lucy.
"Am I dreaming or is Luffy scared?" Vivi asked.
"I was curious to know what you looked like." Aokiji affirmed. "And I'm glad I got to see you, at the same time coming here to talk with Nico Robin."
Suddenly rising, he stretched, while declaring.
"And now... are you ready to die?"
While hearing this sinister question, the pirates felt a gust of icy wind coming their way.
Immediately, Zoro, Gin, and Wiper grabbed their weapons, while Raynare and Velvet summoned spears of light or a demonic arm.
"So you wanted to capture us all along." Sanji understood.
"Is it my fault?" Aokiji asked. "Since what happened in Alabasta, the government is starting to take an interest in you! Usually, the pirate crews we meet include at least a hundred people! But on your side, if we exclude your animals from companies, you're not even in your twenties."
Counting on his fingers to make sure he hadn't been mistaken, he affirmed.
"In short, you are a small crew, whose members have abilities far superior to those of a normal pirate! That's what makes you dangerous! After all, how else do you explain that you managed to defeat Baroque Works, an organization of 2,000 people, including a Shichibukai?"

Now walking towards Luffy, he questioned him.

"It's true." Vivi agreed. "Why do you want to capture her so much? Is it because she was Crocodile's teammate?"
" Among other things. " Aokiji affirmed. "But it's not just that! Showing a pirate's bounty not only enhances their strength! The bounty also represents the seriousness of the threat that pirate poses to the world government! And in your opinion, why is this woman wanted for 79 million berries, since she was eight years old? Were you at least aware of that?"

Ignoring them, Aokiji just continued to stare at Robin as he affirmed.

You betrayed...you escaped...you avoided all possible capture...and you never ceased to ally yourself with many partners who have been useful to you! All these years you have survived by sacrificing your partners and today you are part of a new pirate crew."
"Hey, motherfucker." Sanji growled. "Who do you think you are talking to him like that?"
"Regardless of his past, Robin is part of our crew." Chopper assured.
"And if you want to capture her, we'll stop you." Menma assured.
"Personally, I have nothing against her! The only reason I know her is because she escaped me once! But that was a long time ago! You will quickly learn to regret protecting her "And if you doubt me, know that every organization that Nico Robin has joined so far has all been destroyed! Not a single member has survived...except her."
Walking towards Robin, he questioned her.
"Right, Nico Robin?"
Robin remained silent.

Showing nothing but anger on her face, Robin lost her temper.

Immediately, Aokiji's body twisted, to the point of shattering into chunks of ice.
"AAAHHHHHHHH!" Chopper shouted. "He disintegrated and he died."
However, a few seconds later, the pirates saw the pieces of ice move before reassembling.
"What is that?" Velvet asked.
"Logia..." Bruno understood. "This guy is like Crocodile and Enel."
"In that case, we must flee." Usopp affirmed. "Against Enel, Luffy was his natural enemy! But against this guy, Ace needs to be with us if we're going to have a chance of defeating him."
Finally, Aokiji's body was whole again, as he found himself facing Robin.
"It was really cruel of you to want to break my back."
Then he reached his hand towards her.
" I don't have a choice. "
"ROBIN!" Luffy shouted, running towards her.
Nevertheless, faster than him, Vivi positioned herself in front of Robin.
"Huh?" Aokiji said.
" THUNDERBORD'S WINGS ! "
Making a quick movement with her arm, Vivi managed to create a powerful gust of wind, which hit the Admiral's body hard.
"GNNNNN!" He moaned, feeling his feet kick back.
" WINGS ! WINGS ! WINGS ! WINGS ! "
Creating new gusts of wind, Vivi attacks again and again and seemed unstoppable. Also feeling the gusts of wind hitting them the trees just behind Aokiji began to twist backwards.
" WINGS ! WINGS ! WINGS ! "
Standing next to Vivi, the pirates raised their arms in front of their faces, while even they felt the power of the wind, which had no trouble kicking up all the dust in the place.
"Damn it." Gin growled, as he felt like he was going to be thrown backwards any moment.
"Get down on the floor." Bruno ordered.
Also stepping back, Shizuo finally saw Vivi stop, before positioning both her arms at her side. Regaining her composure and knowing what she was going to do, Robin wanted to stop her.
" STOP ! "
Too late. Moving both her arms at the same time, Vivi created an overpowering gust of wind, which shot towards Aokiji.
" SKY WIND ! "
Eyes widening, Aokiji was hit by the attack and was thrown backwards, just like the trees behind him. Screaming in panic, the pirates lay on the ground as they felt the mighty gusts of wind pass over their heads.
Finally, a few seconds later, the chaos ceased. Breathing hard, Vivi showed she was exhausted, as she looked at the area in front of her, which contained nothing but uprooted trees, which were now lying on the ground.
"I…I did." She asserted, dropping to her knees.
Standing up at this moment, Yosaku couldn't help but swallow.
"I had no idea Sister-Vivi had become so powerful."
"And again, she didn't even use lightning." Usopp asserted.
"Damn it, but who are you?" Bellamy wanted to know. "All of your crew members can defeat me or what?"
Ignoring his question, Bruno looked carefully around them, before declaring.
"I don't know if it succeeded in defeating him, but I don't really want to investigate! If the Log-Pose already indicates the next island, we must leave."
"I agree" Nami agreed. "Everyone, to the boat."
Nonetheless, her eyes widened, seeing something move in front of Vivi and Robin.
" Impossible. "
Initially, it was just an icy mist. Then, little by little, it turned into pieces of ice. And while Robin and Vivi were frozen in terror, Aokiji's body appeared in front of them, without the slightest injury.
"Do you understand what I was trying to tell you? Even with a power you don't seem to fully control, you managed to push me back! That's what makes you dangerous."
Seeing him do this, Vivi tried to get to her feet. Unfortunately, she felt Aokiji's arms tighten her against him.
" That ... ? "
Knowing what he was going to do, Robin held out her hand to Aokiji.
" Don't do that ! "
Simply looking at her, Aokiji retorted.
"All your friends will end up like this...your fault! ICE AGE !"
Unable to move, Vivi was left completely paralyzed, and within moments her entire body was covered in ice.
"VIVI!" Her companions shouted, seeing her become totally frozen.
Then stepping back, Aokiji glared at Robin, while declaring.
"It doesn't matter if you see these people as mere partners or puppets that you can manipulate, any time you want to approach someone, you will only get them in trouble! Now, do you understand, Nico Robin?"
Trembling in terror, Robin fell to her knees.
"You will never be able to bring the slightest happiness to the people who want your presence." Aokiji assured. "Their trust in you will be shattered..."
Suddenly raising his fist in the air, he aimed it at Vivi.
" Like that. "
"STOP!" Shouted several pirates, running towards him.
" QUAAAAA ! " Shouted Carue.
However, before any of them could get to him, Aokiji struck his target. Still, he was surprised to bump into Robin's face, who had come between him and the statue.
"Huh?" The man wondered when he saw her fall to the ground.
Groaning, Robin placed her hand on the left side of her face, which had immediately frozen at the moment of impact.
"What's happening to you, Nico Robin?" Aokiji questioned her. "Since when do you care about anyone else besides yourself?"
For answer, Robin turned to her, while articulating.
"I...I'm not the same...I...I'M NOT ALONE ANYMORE!"
"Really?" Aokiji asked skeptically. "And what do you think that changes?" You only bring bad luck around you. "
Suddenly, a spear of light pierced him.
" That ... ? "
"Bye bye!" Raynare told him simply, not snapping her fingers.
Immediately, her spear exploded, throwing the admiral backwards. Then, seeing him away from Robin and Vivi, Luffy let his arm wrap around his body, before throwing him with all his might towards the sky.
"WIPER!" He shouted.
Finding himself in the sky, the admiral saw the Shandian aiming his weapon at him.
"You're made of ice, aren't you? In that case, I have the perfect weapon to kill you! BURN BAZOOKA !"
Immediately, the beam of blue flames moved towards Aokiji, before crashing into him and making him disappear.
"YEAH! GOOD JOB!" Yosaku and Johnny rejoiced.
Nevertheless, remaining calm, the other pirates seemed concerned that Aokiji probably wasn't even hurt by this attack. Seeing this, Luffy ordered.
"USOPP! CHOPPER! CARUE! ROBIN! TAKE VIVI WITH YOU AND RUN AWAY!"
"Huh?" Usopp and Chopper wondered.
"Chopper save Vivi." Luffy ordered him. "Only you can save her! So save her."
Looking at his captain, Chopper could only nod his head slightly, before running towards Vivi. Picking up the ice statue, Usopp and Chopper gently placed it on Carue's back. Then, once the statue was properly placed, the trio began to run.
"Robin! Come with us." Usopp shouted.
"If I don't thaw your face quickly, you risk getting necrosis." Chopper asserted.
Robin remained completely frozen.
" ROBIN !" Shoutes Luffy.
Eventually regaining her senses, Robin ends up getting back on her feet, before following Usopp and the others. Unfortunately, it was then that Aokiji reappeared again to position himself in front of them.
"Where are you going, Nico Robin?"
" ZIP ! "
Feeling touched by a puppet, Aokiji got separated in two by a closure. Despite this, he remained calm and simply stared at Bruno.
"Do you really think saving time will do any good?"
For your answer, Bruno rushed towards him, before extending his hand towards him.
" ZIP ! "
"You're just wasting your time." Aokiji retorted, not even trying to defend himself.
Unfortunately for him, he suddenly grimaced, feeling Bruno's hand touch him. Hidden in the palm of his hand, the man had pierced the admiral's chest with one of his seastone stakes. Finding himself immediately weakened, Aokiji could no longer transform into ice.
" DAMN IT ! "
" GUM GUM ... "
Barely having time to look up, Aokiji was hit by Luffy's fist.
" PISTOL ! "
Cheek crushed, the admiral flew backwards, until he hit a rock. Seeing this, Usopp cried out.
"You have to take advantage of it! RUN!"
Immediately, Carue and Chopper ran with him. Standing still for a few moments, Robin found it hard to believe that Aokiji had just been hit. First wanting to stay to fight, the young woman changed her mind and ended up running to join Usopp and the others.
For his part, feeling the taste of blood in his mouth, Aokiji stood up, while a bruise was visible on his face. Luckily, during the impact, the seastone pile had fallen to the ground. Nevertheless, Bruno had already picked it up.
Walking towards the admiral, while cracking his knuckles.
"We're not trying to stall! We're going to save Vivi."
Behind him, his comrades were already preparing for battle.
"And at the same time, we're going to give the Navy a real reason to fear us." Luffy assured.
