Chapter 109 Sad Child

Ryo was walking down the streets alone, he looks up to see the night sky as today was quiet.
"Well better go home." He said.
But then he heard the sounds of crying making him wonder what it was.
"What?"
Ryo goes to a alley and looks around, then he saw a little child inside a box to protect herself from the weather.
"Hey." He said.
He got a closer look and it's a little girl with a blue dress, she has a bizzare appearance with big black eyes and has black hair in ribbons.
She got scared and moved away but he raises his hands to show he wasn't going to do any harm.
"Calm down, i'm not going to hurt you." He said.
She looks at him confused.
"What's your name?"
"Maggie." She said.
"Okay Maggie, why are you here? Where are your parents?" He asked.
She cries even more. "They left me."
He got surprised. "Why?"
She pointed at her face to give an answer.
"What?! They left you because of how you look!" He said.
He got mad hearing that, it's just like what happened to some mutant children and now she suffered the same.
She got worried seeing him angry and he calms down. "Sorry."
He puts a hand towards her. "Let me help you."
Maggie stares at it, she reaches out slowly and grabs it, he smiles and helps her up.
"I will protect you." He takes her with him.
The two walked together to the mansion, they went through the front doors and Maggie looks around amazed.
"It's so big." She said.
"Yes, this will be your home." He said.
Fiona came down. "Daddy."
She then saw Maggie as the two stared at each other.
"Who is she?" Fiona asked.
"This Maggie, she will be your new sister." He said.
Fiona got surprised and looks at Maggie, she smiles at her. Maggie stares ar Fiona and saw one of her eyes is different too.
"Your like me." Maggie said.
"Yeah." Fiona hugs her.
Maggie got surprised and hugs her back since she was so happy to be in a family.
Ryo smiles at the scene since they are happy, Fiona shows Logue to her as the two sisters played with they're new sister at the living room.
The Avengers saw Maggie and Tony said: "So you found another mutant?"
"Yeah, I didn't expect her to be alone like this." He said.
"To think they would leave they're own child for being one of them." Steve frowns.
"It's not much we can do, we don't even know who her parents are." Hawkeye said.
"Well i'll be taking care of Maggie, since she and Fiona seem to be getting along the most." Ryo looks at the two.
"Well they are mutants." Wasp said.
"She feels closer to her." Carol said.
Kije came. "It seems that we have a new child."
"Yeah, I hope you don't mind." He said.
"Of course not, Maggie is a sweet girl." Kije said.
"Well your the one looking after them." Tony said.
Ryo frowns at him and he goes to the girls as they smile at him, Toby came and he barks making the girls pet him.
"I'll be back, just need to do something at my lab." He told them.
"Okay." They nodded.
He goes off and he enters his lab, he then scans his guardians and they were all making sure no anti mutant groups are around.
"It's not easy but it's worth it to keep them safe." He said.
His guardians have been around the world and have been making sure the city is safe from any of the anti mutant groups since they would hunt them down.
SHIELD has also been against that since they don't believe in attacking mutants so that's helpful at least.
He saw a news article about the MRD.
"Those guys, they're just as bad as the others, like trying to exteriminate mutants." He grunts.
To him they're people as anybody but to treat them, even children as freaks is something he cannot accept.
"They're always there trying to harm people, and I cannot let that happen."
He then saw signals but it was strange, these aren't mutant dna but they're similar.
"Huh?" He stares at it.
"What is this?"
He saw more and more appearing making him get up from his chair it's like it's spreading.
"What's going?!" He said.
Pond came. "What's the matter?"
"It's like theres a new race just appearing." He said.
"What like mutants?" She said.
"No, something similar but different." He said.
"I don't get it." Pond was confused.
"This is something I need to get more info, since if those anti mutant groups see this, they will send they're sentinels after them." He frowns.
Ever since the Guardians came they were the ones keeping those other robots away as they battled them and proved to be superior.
"Fiona already was scared with the friends of humanity, if they or others find out about Maggie they would have done the same." He frowns.
"Yeah, I hate them too." Pond said.
"I can't let this happen." He types on his computer to give orders to his guardians to make sure they protect anybody that will attack the unknown sources.
"I will have to find one to know more about they're abilities." He said.
Ryo goes to work since after he saw that day, Fiona's sad face it really made him try to help all mutants, since they don't deserve to suffer like that.
When you see something you love get taken away like that, it really hurts you. That you could lose it forever and not being able to do anything makes it worse.
"I can't lose that, I will make sure that Fiona, Maggie and the other children of the mutant kind will be safe as they can go out without the need to be scared of being chased down."
He'll also have to ask Charles if he could put Maggie in his school since she could use proper education.
"She will be safer there with him to go to school, if something happens to me I can always ask them to take care of Fiona and Maggie as they go to school there."
Ryo makes some plans in case something happens, as it's not the first time they vanished and it they are far away he's gotta make sure the girls are in a safe place.
"Well better get to work."
Note: Maggie is from X-Men as she's a mutant child that was abandoned, so I decided to let Ryo adopt her too since she deserves a family and now she's got a sister that's similar to her being a mutant.
