"Damn it!" Growled a carpenter.
Seeing Galley-La's HQ catch fire, he tried to extinguish the flames using a garden hose. However, even if several of his comrades imitated him, the flames seemed to increase in intensity.
"It's useless! The fire is much too powerful."
"And Icerberg-san? Where is he?"
"The fire started not far from his room! He must have found himself trapped."
"Damn it! Paulie and the others aren't here either."
Being the only foreman outside the building, Lulu sat while he struggled to regain his composure. Still feeling his head spinning, the man tried to remember what had happened.
He remembered entering Iceberg's room to provide close security. Then, two people entered Iceberg's room. And then... Lulu felt like he had passed out at that moment, but he didn't have the slightest idea who had hit him.
Finally, he struggled to stand up. Unfortunately, he felt dizzy.
"Lulu…" Shouted a carpenter, hearing her moan. "Don't try to move! You're hurt."
"Shut up!" The carpenter roared. "Iceberg, Paulie and the others are still inside! I have to help them."
"Impossible! No one can enter this building."
Precisely, one of the floors of the HQ began to collapse.
"Be careful! Everything will collapse."
"Back off!"
Seeing the frame collapse, Lulu remained stunned for a few moments, before screaming.
" ICEBERG-SAN ! "
" ZIP ! "
Appearing on the ground, a huge zipper opened. Then, to everyone's surprise, dozens of bodies were thrown out of the zipper, including Tilestone and Hatterene. Covered with wounds, everyone fell to the ground, unconscious.
"What is that?" one of the carpenters wondered.
"These are the guys who were responsible for protecting the floor where Iceberg-san's room was located.
"Tilestone is here too."
Finally, coming out in turn, Nami left the zipper, while Bruno walked. With his hand pressed to the wound in his abdomen, Bruno struggled to remain conscious, while using his power forced him to use what little strength he had left.
"Bruno, hang on! We're outside." Nami assured him.
Barely understanding the situation, the man stared at the carpenters in front of him, who stared at him in surprise.
"This guy… is Zipper-man."
"He's part of Mugiwara's crew."
Hearing them, Bruno knew that staying here could be dangerous, despite the fact that he had saved the lives of several carpenters. Unfortunately, having no more strength, he ended up losing consciousness and collapsing to the ground.
"BRUNO!" Nami feared.
"What...what just happened?" One of the carpenters asked.
"This pirate just saved our companions?"
"And Iceberg? Is he among the survivors?"
It was at this moment that a window in the building broke. Managing to escape the flames and find himself outside, Chopper also faced the Carpenters, while carrying Paulie and Iceberg on his back, while holding Zoro's saber between his jaws.
"What? A reindeer?"
" Iceberg-san. "
"You're going to pay me for this." Franky roared, running towards Kalifa.
However, as he tried to hit the secretary's face with his punch, he saw Blueno position himself in front of him and block his attack.
" TEKKAI! "
Stunned to see him stay still, Franky growled.
"Blueno...can I know what you're doing with these guys? Does Fosha know what you're doing?"
"Of course." The bartender affirmed. "Since she works in the same organization as me."
"Organization?" Franky repeated.
Finally, he seemed to understand the situation.
"What's happening…this concerns Tom, doesn't it?"
"You're a lot more perceptive than I expected." The man said, aiming his fist at Franky.
Nevertheless, getting ahead of him, Franky grabbed Blueno's head between his enormous fingers. Then, with Herculean strength, he lifted the man's body off the ground. Trying to struggle, Blueno seemed to be completely dominated by Franky's grip, which squeezed his face tighter.
"It doesn't matter if you're a bartender or whatever! There's no way I'm going to get defeated by a guy like you."
Seeing that escaping Franky's grip was impossible, Blueno suddenly directed his finger towards the cyborg, in order to pierce him. But before he could hurt him, Blueno saw Lucci punch Franky with enough force to knock him to the ground.
" ARRRGGGGHHHH ! "
"Baka!" Lucci growled. "If you had killed him, we wouldn't have been able to find the blueprints."
"Sorry." Blueno apologized, massaging his sore face.
"But what's going on?" Usopp wanted to know. "Why are the Galley-La carpenters here? And why are they attacking us?"
"Shut up and go hide somewhere." Franky ordered him.
Managing to get up, Franky stared at Lucci and the others, while affirming.
"This story is just about me and these guys! No matter why they came here, I'm going to blow their heads off to avenge what they did to Mozu and Kiwi."
Letting out a simple sigh, Lucci declared.
"We don't have much time left, so I'll be quick! Our identity in this city was just a facade! We are in reality agents of the world government."
"Tssss! So your presence here really concerns Tom." Franky understood.
"Indeed! Franky, we know all about you...or would you rather I call you Cuttie Flam."
Unable to hide his surprise, the cyborg asked.
"How do you know this name?"
"We know a lot about you! Including the fact that you are a former apprentice of Tom, who is presumed to have been dead for 8 years."
Clenching his fists, hearing this, Franky stared at the men in front of him before roaring.
"What did you do to Iceberg?"
"We killed him." Lucci affirmed, without hesitation. "And now you will give me the blueprints he entrusted to you."
Ignoring his last request, Franky swung his fist again before attacking him.
" STRONG RIGHT ! "
Seeing Franky's fist being knocked out of the rest of his arm, Lucci simply tilted his head to the side to avoid the attack. Then he grabbed the chain, before pulling it with force. Unable to resist, Franky felt his body being pulled towards Lucci, and once he came face to face with him, Lucci's hand struck his chin and threw him towards a wall which Franky flew through.
Frightened, Usopp couldn't believe that Franky was so dominated during this confrontation.
"I knew this carpenter was powerful! But I didn't think he was capable of defeating Franky, as if he were just a child."
For his part, advancing towards where Franky had crashed, Kaku noticed that his body had made a hole in the wall, revealing the existence of a secret room.
"Huh?" He was surprised, seeing that the room was filled with desks and other desks intended for drawing naval construction plans.
"What is this place?" Kalifa asked.
"All I can say is that everything in here is dirty and old." The former carpenter stated, running his finger over one of the desks.
"In any case, it's an ideal place to hide blueprints." Lucci affirmed, entering the room. "Find them."
Immediately, the assassins began to search the room, not hesitating to throw everything on the floor. Hitting a wall, Blueno tried to destroy it, to see if another room would not be hidden.
"This room appears to be an old work office." Kaku remarked.
At that moment, Lucci grabbed a frame where a photo could be seen.
" What is this ? "
"This photo looks like the one Iceberg had in his office." Kalifa remarked.
"DON'T TOUCH IT!"
having managed to get up, despite the fact that blood was streaming down his face, Franky faced the quartet, while declaring.
"I would never let you destroy my past again! This is where Tom's Workers was born and I would protect this place with my life."
" Tom's workers ? "
Turning to Franky, Lucci stated.
"I must admit that I never knew Tom when he was alive! However, I learned a lot from studying Iceberg's past! Tom was an exceptional fishman and carpenter! Perhaps even the best that Water-7 is known! Nevertheless, his violence was his weak point! From now on, everyone fears him and no one dares to speak his name."
"Shut up! You don't know anything about him." Franky retorted. "It's because of you that Tom was unjustly accused and convicted."
"Really? However, all of this wouldn't have happened if he hadn't built the Oro Jackson! What's more, he stubbornly refused to trust the world government! These are crimes that deserve death! I pity you for being an apprentice to a guy like him."
" How dare you ? "
But before he could attack Lucci, Franky felt Blueno's fist and Kaku's foot hit him in the face. Again he collapsed to the ground.
"There's nothing here." Kalifa said, tapping the floor to make sure there was a trap door.
"We can't waste any more time here." Kaku declared. "The sea train will leave soon."
"Tssss!" Lucci growled. "No matter! Since we have Cuttie Flam, it's only a matter of time! The government will definitely send him to Impel Down and there I'm sure they'll find a way to get him to talk."
"You... Do you want to make a bet?" Franky questioned him, trying to get up again.
Unfortunately, Blueno's foot crushed his back with force, in order to immobilize him.
"Stay still."
Then, reaching into his pockets, he pulled out a den-den mushi.
"And before I forget, someone would like to speak to you."
Immediately, he activated the den-den mushi. Making the same noise for a few moments, it finally lit up and let out a cry of pain.
"IT'S HOT! HOT! HOT! I spilled my coffee! AHHHHH! It's hot!"
Then, calming down, the den-den mushi gave Franky a mocking smile.
"How are you, Cuttie Flam?"
"Who are you?" Franky asked.
"What? YOU don't recognize me! I am the man who had the merit of capturing the criminal named Tom and who sentenced him to Enies Lobby."
Hearing this, Franky widened his eyes.
" You are ... "
"I'm Spandam! Leader of CP9! It's been a long time, hasn't it? In truth, I really didn't expect you to survive! It must be said that I saw you being hit myself by the Sea train! Usually, knowing that a criminal is alive disgusts me! But it's not the same for you! I'm glad to know you're alive, Cuttie Flam."
"Unfortunately, it's not mutual." Franky grunted.
A laugh was heard.
"Hahaha! Don't worry, I hate you as much as you hate me! For eight years, every time my scars hurt, I am filled with irrepressible rage, because I constantly thought that the criminal who disfigured me was dead! But now that I know that's not the case, I can't wait to see you arrive at Enies Lobby! Lucci, I'm counting on you to bring this guy to me on as quickly as possible."
Suddenly, a strange noise was heard. Then Spandam began to scream again.
"HOT! HOT! HOT! I burned myself with a candle."
Eventually, the den-den mushi died down. And seeing that the message was finished, Kaku hastened to tie up Franky.
"Once you tell us what we want, our mission will be officially complete."
"You can still dream! I'd rather tear out my tongue than tell you anything."
"We'll see about that." Said simply, placing her body on his shoulder.
" Let's go. " Dit Lucci.
Then, the four CP9 agents left towards the exit. However, they all stopped when they heard an order.
"Let him go."
Turning around, everyone looked at Usopp, who had finally reacted.
"I order you to drop it." He shouted, aiming his slingshot at them.
" Long-nose. " Dit Franky.
However, by only furrowing his brows, Lucci frightened Usopp enough that he cowered before him.
" Je m'excuse. "
"I hope you're joking." Franky roared.
For his part, finally recognizing Usopp, Kaku declared.
"Wait...you're part of Mugiwara's crew, aren't you?"
Staring at him for a few moments, Usopp finally retorted.
"Huh...no! I'm not part of this group anymore! Instead, I'm the captain of a powerful crew of 8,000 men! So, if you don't want to piss me off, I suggest you ... "
" SHIGAN ! "
Interrupted, Usopp felt himself fall to his knees, as Kaku had injured him.
"You left Mugiwara's crew...but you're still a pirate! Since that's the case, we'll take you with us."
Nonetheless, the man raised his leg and used it to block Heracross' horn.
Heracross use HORN ATTACK.
Striking at the same time, both opponents ended up feeling themselves retreating.
"Hey! Can someone explain to me why these pirates have so many monsters in their crew? First there was the ghost...then the bison...and now this beetle! Where did they find them ? "
Not asking the same question as him, Kalifa grabbed her whip, before directing it towards Heracross. Finding himself immediately tied up, the pokemon then saw Kalifa running towards him before giving him a powerful kick. Feeling itself falling back several meters, the pokemon almost collapsed on its back.
Yet, keeping his balance, he targeted Kalifa.
Heracross use PIN MISSILE.
" RANKYAKU ! "
Creating a sharp gust of wind, Kalifa slammed into the pokemon's projectiles, causing an explosion. Taking advantage of this, Heracross flew towards the cloud of smoke, before passing through it. Then, finding himself on the other side, he tried to hit Kalifa. Unfortunately, the woman was no longer in her place and could not be found.
" Hera ? "
" TEKKAI! "
Finding himself in the air, Kalifa fell back and let his leg collide with the top of Heracross's head. Feeling like he was being hit by a metal pole, the pokemon's head was forced to hit the ground, which cracked.
Then doing a backflip, Kalifa moved somewhat away from Heracross before creating a new gust of wind.
" RANKYAKU ! "
Then opening his eyes, Heracross flew towards the attack, while illuminating his horn.
Heracross use FURY ATTACK.
Hitting Kalifa's attack several times, the pokemon managed to destroy it. Then he clenched his fist.
Heracross use BRICK BREAK.
Hit in the head, Kalifa was now the one who backed away. Wanting to take advantage, Heracross lit up his horn.
Heracross use HORN ATTACK.
Unfortunately, Kalifa's whip wrapped around him again and, still conscious, Kalifa threw the pokemon's body into the air.
"Hera?" The pokemon was surprised, finding himself near the ceiling.
" GEPPO! " Kalifa shouted, rushing towards him.
Seeing her rushing towards him, Heracross spread his wings before charging at her.
Heracross use MEGAHORN.
" WE-E! "
Moving at full speed, Kalifa then tilted her body to the side and managed to avoid the pokeball's horn. Then, finding herself in front of Heracross's unprotected abdomen, she pointed her finger at him.
" SHIGAN ! "
Immediately, the pokemon's gaze went blank. Feeling Kalifa's finger pierce it several times, the beetle lost consciousness and fell. A few seconds later, Usopp saw his partner collapse on the floor of the Merry, while his eyes turned into spirals.
" HERACROSS ! "
"It's over." Kalifa announced, landing on her feet.
"Now, only you are left." Kaku announced, walking towards him.
Frightened, Usopp took a step back, before falling on his butt. Trembling with fear, he crawled until he found himself near the hull of the Merry.
"Don't come any closer."
"You should never have become a pirate." Kaku said, reaching for his hand.
However, a strange noise was heard. Then, without anyone being able to understand the reason, the mast of the Merry cracked, before collapsing.
"Huh?" Kaku was surprised.
Raising his gaze, he saw the broken mast falling without his direction before crushing him.
"What?" Blueno was surprised, seeing Kaku being crushed.
As surprised as the others, Usopp tried to understand what had just happened. Then, remembering Franky's words, he finally turned back to Merry. The boat's mast had just broken, as if the boat was responsible for its own damage. And as if by chance, the mast had collapsed on Kaku, as if this act was intended to protect Usopp.
" Merry ? "
Then beginning to sob, he begged.
"Stop, Merry! Don't sacrifice yourself to protect me! I'm begging you."
"May I know who you're talking to?"
Despite the sudden act, Kaku was still standing, with his arms stretched above him. Having managed to stop the mast before it crushed him, Kaku was still carrying it, without much difficulty.
"Like I said before, this boat is just good for throwing away."
Then, using more force, he threw the mast towards the Merry, damaging its floor. The gesture was so powerful that the hooks holding the boat together gave way.
"Even if we are assassins, we were carpenters with abilities worthy of true professionals." Kaku assured, walking towards the entrance to the canal. "So you should believe me when I say that your ship will never be able to sail again."
"Hey! What are you doing?"
Ignoring him, Kaku simply opened the double doors that connected the canal to the outside of the building. Feeling the wind seep into the building, the assassin then moved towards a lever.
"Believe me, by helping you get rid of this wreck, I'm doing you a great service."
" STOP! " Usopp yelled, wanting to run towards him.
Unfortunately, Kalifa's whip wrapped around his legs, knocking him to the ground. No longer able to run, Usopp extended his arm towards Kaku.
" STOP ! PLEASE ! I BEG YOU ! "
Completely ignoring him, Kaku only grabbed the lever, before lowering it. And immediately, the water from the canal flowed outwards.
"NOOOOOOOOO!"
Unfortunately, despite Usopp's shout, Merry began to move, before being transported outside the canal and began sailing towards the ocean, where the storm was raging. And still unconscious, Heracross remained lying on his floor, unable to understand the danger that awaited him.
"MERRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYY!" Usopp yelled.
Galley-La HQ
Staring at the collapsing building, the carpenters couldn't help but feel frustrated.
" It's over. "
"The flames devastated the HQ."
However, good news reached their ears.
"Hey! Iceberg-san woke up."
Indeed, having managed to open his eyes, the man immediately showed a shocked look, seeing that he was still alive.
" I am alive ? "
Then, looking next to him, he knocked Paulie to the ground, as did Chopper and Bruno. Having searched Bruno's clothes, Nami now had a den-den mushi in her hand.
"Lucy! Raynare! Can you hear me? Answer."
However, no matter how much she shouted, the den-den mushi remained silent.
"Why? What happened?"
Seeing her doing this, several carpenters remained undecided.
"Huh? What are we doing?"
"She's a pirate! We must capture her."
"Yes! But Zipper-man and the reindeer saved Iceberg-san and the others."
Suddenly, Iceberg surprised everyone as he got back to his feet.
" Iceberg-san ? "
"Heal the pirates." The man ordered.
"Huh?" His men were surprised.
"Take care of the pirates." Iceberg ordered, with an authoritative voice. "I owe them my life."
"But, Iceberg-san…"
Ignoring his men, Iceberg only walked towards Nami.
"And let me speak privately with this woman."
The streets were deserted near the station, while everyone had taken refuge up high to escape the storm. Yet, walking the streets, a figure could be seen limping. Feeling her stomach flare, Toxtricity groaned weakly.
Not having eaten anything because everyone was gone, the pokemon was starving. Additionally, the tip of the spear that passed through his arm was still visible and the wound had become infected. The pokemon was alone and injured.
Feeling the gusts of wind and the falling rain, he tried to find a quiet place where he could rest a little and eat something.
Finally, arriving in front of the station, he decided to enter the building. But he had barely taken a few steps when he saw people in front of him.
"Huh?" Two government soldiers were surprised, turning around.
Seeing Toxtricity, the duo couldn't help but be surprised.
" A toad? "
Staring at them without saying anything, Toxtricity finally ignored them and began heading towards a secluded corner of the building. He had no desire to fight any more. However, taking out a revolver, one of the soldiers aimed at him.
"Hey! Where do you think you're going?"
"Toxtri?" The pokemon wondered, turning towards him.
Suddenly his eyes widened as a projectile passed through him. Having fired without hesitation, the soldier saw the pokemon fall to its knees, while blue blood began to flow onto the ground.
"Do you think it's an animal from this island?" Asked the other soldier, walking towards the pokemon.
"No idea! But it's best to avoid any unnecessary trouble."
But when the duo found themselves in front of the pokemon, they were surprised to see electricity appear.
" Huh ? "
Toxtricity use SHOCK WAVE.
Immediately, the two soldiers were struck by lightning and their charred bodies collapsed to the ground. However, Toxtricity barely had time to stand up before other soldiers came running.
"Hey! What's going on?"
Seeing them coming, Toxtricity forced himself to flee as quickly as possible, but because of his injuries, the soldiers quickly caught up with him.
"Kill that toad."
However, just as Toxtricity seemed like an easy target, the soldiers felt an overwhelming force hit them and knock them down. Then, seizing Toxtricity, a stranger hid it behind a wall.
Arriving running, other soldiers saw their comrades on the ground.
" What happened ? "
An enemy must have gotten in here. "
"Quick! Search outside! It can't be far away."
Hearing them running outside, Sanji sighed.
"We almost got spotted."
being with him, Toxtricity tried to struggle.
"Hey! Easy! I saved you."
Toxtricity use POISON JAB.
Stepping back at the last instant to avoid his attack, Sanji saw Toxtricity facing him. Being still bleeding, the pokemon looked like it would collapse at any moment. And even though Sanji had just saved him for the second time, he refused to trust a human. How could he have the slightest confidence in him, when his peers had continued to hunt and hurt him over the past few days.
"Hey! I mean you no harm." Sanji assured. "Calm down or your injuries will get worse."
Staring at him angrily, Toxtricity seemed undecided. Then, suddenly, he rushed out of his hiding place. Running and jumping at full speed, the pokemon decided to flee and left the station at full speed, despite the state of its injuries.
Seeing him, Sanji hesitated to follow him. However, stopping, he turned his gaze towards the other end of the station, knowing that he had priorities.
" Robin ! "
