"Hey, Oba-san! Are you really incapable of stopping this train?" Paulie asked.
"No one can stop it." Kokoro assured, laughing.
"Mugiwara...what are you going to do?" Zambe asked.
For any response, Luffy takes two shots at the locomotive, before stretching his arms.
"I'll make sure Sanji and the others aren't in those cars."
Clinging to him, Bruno assured.
"And I…I'm going to cut up this train."
And the next second, the duo disappeared, while Luffy had propelled himself towards the three wagons.
" ROCKET ! "
Seeing him aim for the rear door of the last car, Bruno put his feet on his back and made a jump. As a result, while Luffy pulverized the carriage door, Bruno landed on the roof. Then, standing up, he summoned Strinky Fingers.
Having uttered cries of fear and surprise, the soldiers inside the three wagons saw Luffy make a smashing entrance, while he was now lying on the ground.
"Who…Who is this guy?"
"Did I dream or did he fly here?"
Suddenly getting up, Luffy surprised the soldiers even more. But completely ignoring them, the pirate only shouted.
"SANJI! VELVET! Are you there?"
Getting no response, he began walking through the wagons.
" ROBIN ! VIVI ! "
Having finally regained their composure, the soldiers pointed their weapons in his direction.
" That man ... "
" IT'S MONKEY D. LUFFY ! "
Immediately, numerous explosions were heard. But also ignoring the bullets which had no effect on him, Luffy let them stretch his skin, before being ejected backwards. Screaming in fear, the soldiers saw the bullets coming back towards them, threatening to kill them.
And despite the chaos around him, Luffy continued his research.
" SANJI ! ROBIN ! "
Suddenly, a laugh was heard. Raising his gaze, Luffy saw a tall man facing him.
"I assume you're Monkey D. Luffy." Jerry remarked, while his face was covered in bandages.
"Huh? A giraffe?" Luffy was surprised.
"I came across your companions earlier and they managed to defeat me, attacking me by surprise."
Closing his fists, he assured.
"But you won't have the same luck! JERRY OCTO BOXING !"
Immediately, one of his fists flew towards Luffy. But, remaining motionless, the pirate only raised his hand and trapped the man's fist in the palm of his hand. At first surprised, Jerry suddenly let out a cry of pain, while he felt Luffy's fingers close around his fist and begin to squeeze it.
"Where are my friends?"
Screaming in pain, Jerry dropped to one knee.
"OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! I don't know."
Unfortunately for him, Luffy exerted even more powerful pressure and Jerry felt like he was going to completely crush his hand.
" AHHHHHHHHHH! " He shouted, as his second knee hit the ground.
"Where are my friends?"
"They... They're on the other part of the Sea Train." Jerry confessed.
Hearing this, Luffy finally let go of his hand. However, Jerry didn't dare move, for fear of suffering any repercussions. Walking towards the outside of the carriages, Luffy could see Rocketman coming in the distance.
"Bruno...Sanji and the others aren't here."
Then he surprised the soldiers by ordering.
"Get that train off the tracks."
And immediately a huge zipper appeared and went around the three wagons.
" What is ... ? "
" ZIP !"
In an instant, the zipper opened, separating the three carriages in two. Stunned, the soldiers remained motionless, while Luffy jumped to land on part of a roof. Seeing the pieces of wagons starting to fall into the water, he and Bruno waited for Rocketman to pass in front of them, before jumping on the locomotive, leaving the soldiers behind.
Immediately, the carpenters and the Franky Family began to applaud the duo.
"You guys are amazing."
"Now we have no reason to worry."
"You're wrong." Zoro retorted.
being also on the locomotive, he saw the enormous silhouette of a sea monster, which was cut in two.
"Sugoi!" Menma said, seeing this, while the Rocktman passed near the carcass of the gigantic monster. "Zoro onii-san...do you think you would have been able to kill that monster?"
"We'll find out soon." Zoro said.
Staring at the ocean in front of him, he stated.
"The guy who killed that monster is right in front of us."
Hearing this, Menma opened and closed his eyelids several times, before looking towards the ocean. Remaining motionless for several seconds, the young child saw nothing. About to tell Zoro that he might be wrong, she was surprised when she detected a splashing sound. Looking back at the ocean in the distance, she could make out a figure running on the tracks.
" Impossible. "
"This guy isn't just anyone." Zoro affirmed, placing his hand on one of his swords.
Still, stopping, he said.
" Menma ... "
" Huh ? "
"Do you want to impress me?"
Stunned, the child then saw him sit on the locomotive, while declaring.
"You might be able to get my respect...if nothing makes me stand up."
Hearing this, Menma understood what he was implying. No matter who the person in front of them was, Zoro asked Menma to fight him, despite the fact that he could destroy the Rocketman. It was an unconscious move on Zoro's part. And yet, it was also a way of showing that he trusted Menma.
"What do you say?" The swordsman asked. "Are you different from the cowardly girl who was only shaking in Skypiea?"
Having no trouble remembering her cowardice during the Battle of Upper Yard, Menma slapped her own cheeks, before staring at the ocean.
"I'm ready." She assured.
Then she managed to see more clearly the figure running on the rails. It was finally stopped, upon hearing the Rocketman, T-Bone turned in their direction. Surprised to see a second sea train, he was then worried for his men, knowing that the Rocketman had encountered them.
"T-Bone !" Zambe suddenly shouted, seeing him in turn. "The boat cutter."
"The boat cutter?" Luffy repeated.
"He's a captain from Navy HQ! He cuts pirate ships like they're steaks."
"Oh? It makes me hungry."
"Are you kidding? This is not the time to think about that! Guys! Get it hot."
" AYE ! "
However, the Frranky Family stopped when they heard Zoro's voice.
" Luffy ! "
"Huh?" His captain said.
Turning to him, Zoro stated.
"Menma takes care of him."
Seeming somewhat surprised at first, Luffy ended up nodding his head.
" Okay ! "
"Okay?" The people around him were surprised.
Remaining silent, Bruno, Gin and Wiper looked towards Zoro and Menma, while having their arms crossed, while they seemed to have no reason to react.
"Let's see what progress she's made in the spirit world."
Meanwhile, continuing to stare at the Rocketman, T-Bone ends up recognizing Zoro.
"Roronoa Zoro! So these guys are Nico Robin's companions."
Groaning, he muttered.
"The fallen angel managed to lose me and now the rest of the group arrives! If they manage to overtake me, it will be a disgrace to justice! This cannot happen! I refuse it."
However, he was surprised when he saw a figure flying out of the locomotive and heading towards him.
"Huh?" He was surprised, seeing Menma approach him. " A child ? "
"Hey, get out of our way if you don't want me to burn you." The child shouted, letting flames appear in the palms of her hands.
"I'm a Navy captain." T-Bone retorted, grabbing his sword. "I will not live in shame! I will stop this train from going to Enies Lobby, even if it kills me."
Then, seeing him take a fighting posture, Menma understood that the confrontation was inevitable. Clasping her hands together, she created a huge ball of fire.
" GIANT ... "
" RIGHT ANGLE ... "
"PYRO BIRD / FLASH SQUARE ! "
Creating their attack at the same time, both fighters saw Menma's fireball collide with T-Bone's sharp gust of wind, creating an explosion. Rushing towards the smoke, Menma and T-Bone disappeared inside. Then, the next second, the smoke was suddenly dispersed, while Menma's claws struck the captain's sword.
Seeing her stand up to him, T-Bone exerted more strength in his arms and managed to push Menma back. Realizing that her physical strength was inferior to that of man, Menma puffed out his cheeks, before spitting flames.
" PYRO FIRE ! "
However, ducking down, T-Bone avoided being hit by the flames. Then, swinging his sword, he forced Menma to step back. Then, seeing the Rocketman approaching them, he assured.
"I'm going to cut you up along with that train with my next attack! RIGHT ANGLE ..."
Widening her eyes, Menma saw him create a sharp gust of wind, which took on the appearance of a blue bird.
" FLYING BIRD ! "
Seeing the attack gain speed and target her, Menma wanted to avoid it. Still, that would doom the Rocketman, who was right behind her. Having no choice, Menma let her entire body burst into flames. Then, flying at full speed, she rushed towards T-Bone's attack, while taking on the appearance of a ball of fire.
" PYRO METEOR ! "
Then the two birds collided. Feeling the power of T-Bone's attack, Menma felt as if she would be cut apart at any moment as she backed away. Continuing the fight, she let out a huge scream, as her flames intensified. Finally, as a blazing inferno faced him, T-Bone's attack was the one that was stopped before it began to waver.
widening his eyes, the captain saw Menma manage to fly in his direction, while spraying his attack.
" Impossible. "
Finding herself in front of him, Menma closed her fist, before giving him a powerful punch to the chin. Feeling his jaws snap, as his feet left, T-Bone's body flew into the air. Losing one of his teeth, he opened one of his eyes, only to realize that he was now in the air.
" That ? "
Not having finished, Menma flew in his direction, while letting all of his flames surround his hands. Despite this, numerous wounds were visible on his body, while flames of a golden color began to heal his wounds. T-Bone had managed to seriously injure her. However, compared to before, Menma knew that his new powers allowed him to brave pain and even death.
" PYRO ... "
Regaining his composure, T-Bone tightened his grip on the handle of his sword, before pointing it towards Menma.
"I wouldn't give up."
" CLAW ! "
Once again, T-Bone's sword collided with Menma's claws. However, compared to earlier, the captain saw his weapon recoil before cracking.
" What ? "
Finally, his sword was pulverized and, unable to make the slightest dodge, the man remained frozen, while Menma found herself in front of him. Eyes wide, he finally felt a trickle of blood flowing from one of his nostrils. Then, huge scratch-shaped wounds opened in his abdomen, before bursting into flames.
Letting out a cry of agony, T-Bone felt himself falling towards the ocean and disappeared into the waters. For her part, letting her flames disappear, Menma tried to catch her breath. However, even with her powers, she felt her strength disappear due to her injuries. And then her wings disappeared, causing her to fall downward as well.
However, having only stretched out his arm, Zoro managed to grab her, while Menma fell not far from the Rocketman. Then he threw her at the locomotive. Remaining lying on her back, the child continued to catch her breath, while declaring.
"I fought."
"This fight was far from perfect." Zoro retorted. "You still have a lot of progress to make if you really want to become indispensable to our team."
However, a slight smile appeared on his face as he confessed.
"But… it's a lot better than Skypiea."
Hearing this, Menma's gaze became sparkling, while she displayed a big smile filled with pride.
Unable to help but feel frustrated, Kaku stated.
"In the last 24 hours, I really feel like our mission is in danger! Am I the only one who feels this way?"
"If we had permission to kill this group of pirates, things would have been simpler." Blueno stated simply.
"I wonder if these guys are resisting us because they're powerful...or because they're incredibly stupid." Araga sneered, twirling her cane behind her.
"There were 200 soldiers on this train." Kalifa remarked. "Given the situation, it is obvious to say that they have all been defeated."
"Tssss! These pirates have no regard for justice." Fosha growled.
"It's especially this bunch of imbeciles who don't know how to effectively enforce justice." Lucci growled.
Then walking towards Sanji and Franky, he didn't hesitate to strike Wanze's body with his foot, to push him out of his way. However, he stopped when he saw Nero starting to stand up. Despite his bloody face and feeling like his skull had turned to mush, the man had found the strength to raise his head, to stare at Franky.
" You ... "
"Huh? Are you still conscious?" The cyborg wondered. "Honestly, you impress me."
"I'm going to kill you." Nero roared.
However, feeling a presence at his back, he turned around to see Lucci right behind him.
" Lu ... Lucci-san ... "
Looking down at him, Lucci looked back at Nero with disgust.
"As a new recruit who was unable to finalize your training to perfection, I didn't expect much from you."
"Lucci-san...please! Just give me a few seconds and I promise I'll kill Franky and the rest of the intruders."
"Franky must be captured alive." Lucci retorted. "Are you not even capable of following an order? If you let your feelings take over, you will be incapable of becoming a true member of justice."
" Sorry. " Said Nero.
"No need to apologize." Lucci replied. "From now on, you have three seconds to disappear! After this time, I will kill you."
" WHAT ? "
" One ! "
" "You... Are you kidding? "
"Two!" Lucci replied simply, starting to target him with his finger.
Unable to react, Nero saw him disappear before pointing his finger in his direction.
" SHIGAN ! "
"NOOOOOOOOO!"
Stunned, Sanji and the others saw Lucci attack his own comrade without hesitation. However, even Lucci was surprised when he saw that his finger had collided with a scaled arm, thus managing to block it. Raising his gaze to meet Fosha's, he stared at the young woman, who had interposed herself between Nero and him.
" That ... ?" The injured man wondered.
"Fosha...do you want me to kill you?" Lucci asked.
"Lucci... from the time we've known each other you must know what I hate the most." Fosha growled. "You can kill and torture all the criminals you want with the certainty that I will not intervene to stop you! However, I would never let you kill innocent people or other members of the justice system."
Then letting her nails turn into claws, he tried to slash Lucci, who jumped back.
"It is by becoming more and more numerous that we will be able to face the evil that is consuming this world." Fosha assured. "And when we have enough soldiers on our side, we can go around the world and exterminate all the criminals we come across! That way, justice will ultimately triumph."
Growling in displeasure, Lucci seemed to want to kill her. However, regaining his calm, he declared.
"We'll deal with that later! First, let's get rid of these intruders."
"With pleasure." Fosha assured him.
Behind her, still shocked, Nero finally stuttered.
" Th ... Thanks. "
Nevertheless, turning towards him, Fosha let her foot strike him in the abdomen. Having the feeling that his eyes were going to leave his sockets, the man spat out drool, while gasping for air. Then watching him moan on the ground, Fosha affirmed.
"I don't like unnecessary killings! However, Lucci is right! A man who is incapable of upholding justice should die."
Feeling a sudden aura, Nero froze in terror, realizing that the person he had judged to be the most harmless in CP9, could develop a predatory aura, identical to that of Lucci.
"You are alive thanks to me! However, if you refuse to honor justice again, I will kill you myself! Have I made myself clear?"
"A...AYE!" Nero assured, while bowing down to her. "I will make sure I don't bring shame to justice again."
Hearing this, Fosha made her murderous aura disappear and replaced it with a tender smile.
" I'm counting on you. "
For his part, Ryuk looked at the scene while starting to laugh.
"This woman is incredibly bipolar! If she were married, I'm sure her husband would be a man wanting to kill himself."
"Her way of reasoning is not stupid." Light affirmed. "A dead soldier is no longer of any use! However, teaching someone justice through fear can still be profitable! I doubt this guy will let his feelings take over again, knowing that death now lies near him."
"Tssss! That's pathetic." Velvet said.
Walking near the lying carcass of the Burai, the young woman entered the wagon.
"This is how they bring justice! They make me want to vomit."
"Everyone has their own definition of justice." Loke affirmed, while walking on the Burai. "It's hard to say who's right or wrong."
Simply staring at the people in the second car, he assured.
"The only thing we know for sure is that we just need to beat these guys and we can win."
"I find you a little too confident in yourself." Blueno retorted, deciding to face him. "Just because you defeated a stupid robot doesn't mean you should be arrogant! Besides..."
Seeing Loke's injuries, he affirmed.
"Just by seeing your state, I can already say that you don't have the slightest chance of defeating us."
"Do you want to bet?"
But as he walked towards the Nightmare's head, he was surprised, feeling it move under his foot.
" That ... ?"
Suddenly, the Burai's fist hit him in the chin, sending his body flying towards the ceiling. Pulverizing it, Loke's body disappeared from the wagon. Barely having time to react, Velvet saw the Nightmare aiming its assault rifle at her. Pulling, it managed to pierce her with two bullets. Spitting blood, the demoness fell to her knees.
" VELVET! " Sanji yelled.
" I dream?" Franky yelled, as his eyes flashed through the lenses of his sunglasses. "I've never seen a robot as huge as this one! It's totally different from the dog I saw earlier."
Ignoring him, Sanji rushed towards the Burai.
" ASSHOLE ! "
Nevertheless, he stopped and dodged Araga's cane.
"From what I can hear, you're a fiery man! What a shame you're not on our side."
For his part, Lucci turned to Ohgi.
"I wonder what we should do with you."
"I'm always ready to fight." Ohgi assured. "I refuse to dishonor Zero."
And before anyone could stop him, his Nightmare bent his legs before jumping towards the ceiling. Enlarging the hole through which Loke had disappeared, the Burai found himself outside the wagon, before placing his feet on its roof.
In front of him, Ohgi stared at the inert body of Loke, who was lying on the metal sheet.
"I doubt that was enough to defeat you." Ohgi said.
Showing a slight smile, Loke stood up and presented his injured face while his glasses had been broken.
"From what I see, it's time for round 2! However..."
Staring at the Burai's abdomen, he showed a mocking smile, seeing the numerous cracks caused by his double attack with Velvet.
"I only need one attack to destroy your robot."
"Then I'll just have to defeat you before you can touch me." Ohgi retorted.
Still on the roof of the third car, Bellamy remained motionless as he saw the duo in front of him.
"What is...? A robot?"
Then he heard impact sounds coming from inside the train.
"The last fight to begin."
" Faster. "
Having replaced Zoro and Menma, Luffy was once again on the Rocketman locomotive. Staring out at the ocean, the pirate captain shouted.
"Monster-grandma! We have to go even faster if we want to catch up with Sanji and the others."
"HAHAHAHA! Have no fear." Kokoro assured. "Rocketman may not have brakes, but it's still faster than the sea train! That's what makes it formidable."
"That's not necessarily good news." Nami retorted.
"FASTER!" Luffy yelled.
However, he calmed down, as he saw a small figure walking on the rails.
" Huh ? "
Unable to stop, the Rocketman collided with the figure, which was ejected into the air.
" AHHHHHHHH! " Luffy shouted, raising his face. "We hit something."
" What ? '"
Suddenly, the figure fell back towards the locomotive and landed right in front of Luffy. Opening and closing his eyelids several times, Luffy stared at what looked like a metallic dog.
"Huh? A dog?"
At first inert, the robot ends up opening its eyes. Then, trying to get up, it made strange noises, which proved that its system had been seriously damaged. Unable to move as it wanted, it only stared at Luffy, while performing a scan. Unable to identify Luffy due to its damaged scanner, the dog began to repeat.
" Pouky ... Pouky ... Pouky ..."
